Pathetic.

Id give a zero but it wont allow me, worst moving company and probably worst company in the world. the customer service manager is a evil person who probably wakes up every day thinking how she can piss someone off, her title should changed to customer disservice manager since that is all she is good at. she actually yelled at a customer service rep for trying to help out and proceeded to yell at me, hang up on me and she NEVER makes a mistake according to herself. the entire process was a nightmare, quote was half the actual cost, didn't have a big enough truck (had to leave items behind), the mattresses were strapped to the back of the truck, wouldn't confirm storage, was told storage would be in Denver, it was vegas, delivery was over a week delayed and they wouldn't provide any updates, would just yell at me, lost a box if not two, damaged numerous items, didn't care at all nor provide any assistance trying to locate the boxes, didn't label any boxes and said that was my job (ive moved about 10 times in my life and the moving company while packing always labeled). overall the worst experience in my life, this company should not be in business, im shocked they are still in business, PATHETIC.

Local Nevada move.

Have used them many times this was my 5th time and was the worst ever, dented 4 places my brand new 2 month old black stainless steel fridge, broke my son box spring middle piece snapped in half. While carrying out a box spring had it so high in the air it hit a house tile and broke it off then just threw is back on the house. Destroyed walls in both homes. My chester drawers were flipped end to end up the stairs. I never had a problem until now. Local move just Furniture only. Kathleen O'shea is very unprofessional she asked me to submit an email with all the issues and upper management would look at and decide if they would handle the claim instead of Athem Claims. Now over 2 weeks later she says they are doing nothing put in a claim with Athem claims. She was short and very rude no customer service whatsoever since the very beginning. DO NOT USE THEM FOR MOVING. MOVERS APPEARED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF SOMETHING.

Long-distance move from California to Florida

Horrible customer service.

My 83 year old father entrusted this company to move him from California to Florida. The movers did not arrive on the scheduled date and when they did arrive five boxes of personal belongings were missing and three TVs were broken. My father spent four months trying to get a resolution before he passed away in January. I contacted the mover and insurance company to help my mother out with this claim. They refused to reimburse her for anything and claimed my father packed the TVs himself at 83 years old. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau and am proceeding with legal action as there were sentimental belongings in the missing boxes of my fathers that can not be replaced. Please do not use this company or you will be in the same position that I am in. They caused him four months of grief and depression before his death.

Damaged Items Galore and Stolen Itemns.

Just had this company mover our household goods, clothing and furniture from the Los Angeles area to Jacksonville, FL. After a month of waiting we have broken furniture and electronics. The biggest thing was them stating they never received firearms from me and now they won't deliver them because they of course they don't have them. I have receipts for them and can prove they are mine if they ever surface in the wrong hands. Can't deliver they say, is that another way of saying they stole from me..

Worst Ever! do Not Use!!

We hired a moving company and were "subcontracted" out to Oasis (without our knowledge). The quoted price of $1500 was increased by $1000 when the driver arrived to load the belongings. We used them because we had had no other choice and were in a time-sensitive situation. Driver was rude and unprofessional. The "professional movers" looked like they had been picked up off a street corner. Was given a delivery estimate of 3-8 days. Items showed up three weeks later. Boxes were damaged, had been opened and re-taped, items were missing and damaged. When we called the office to try to get an actual delivery estimate, Kathleen was beyond rude. DO NOT USE THEM! They prey on people and should be shut down!

Worst moving company ever.

Oasis Moving & Storage, Inc. was subcontracted by the company with which we signed our moving contract, American Standard Moving and Storage, who did not warn us they would be hiring Oasis. Neither American Standard nor Oasis ever followed up with us to let us know, for example, that delivery to us would be delayed by a week (they had billed us for expedited delivery). The customer service was incredibly rude, and acted insulted when we asked for an update on the status of our delayed delivery, and would not disclose any information. Practically, they hung up on us. Their truck broke along the way, and delivery got delayed further. When it finally took place, they would not accept payment via check or credit card even though they had never informed us that would be the case. They threatened to take our shipment back unless we’d provide cash immediately, so we had to walk with them to the bank. It was the most unpleasant experience, with a seriously unprofessional company. Never again will we be working with them.

- 5 stars Do not use.

On 10/12/19 I reached out to several moving companies to provide quote for moving household goods across country. I was provided a quote from Shannon Mccaney for roughly $12,000 after telling the company I had over 18,000lbs of furniture and personal items. I moved a year earlier and this is what a professional moving company told me I had in inventory. I told them I did not have that kind of money to move my stuff since this was coming out of my pocket. Over the next 3 months Connected Van lines reached out to me on several occasions to try to persuade me to use their company.

On 12/21/19, the owner of the company (supposedly) reached out to me directly to provide the best deal he can personally give me. We agreed to a price of $7,840. The move was scheduled for 01/27/20. On January 27th at 1:00PM I called Connected Van lines to find out when the movers would be arriving and what form of payment they needed for the next payment. This is when I was told that the movers were coming from Las Vegas NV and should be there soon. I was also informed that I need a cashiers check made out to Oasis Moving and Storage. This is the first time I was told the movers were not from Connected Van lines. The movers from Oasis Moving and Storage did not show up until January 28th at 3PM. When they arrive they were driving a 26ft Enterprise box truck. I immediately informed them that the truck they were drive was not going to hold all of my stuff. This was considering a 53 ft, trailer delivered the stuff a year earlier. I told the driver again that I had at least 18,000 pounds of stuff. The movers worked until about 8PM that night and said they would return the next day (January 29th). The next day the movers returned and continued packing and moving items. The movers packed the truck up and took a load to another truck some distance away. Keep in mind that most of the truck was floor loaded and not packed completely. They came back and loaded up the truck again and took it away to another truck waiting somewhere else. The movers said they would be back the next day to finish packing the remaining items. January 30th 2020 the movers returned to pack the remaining items.

Upon completion of loading the remaining items the lead mover (Victor) informed me that I owe $22,000 dollars. Half was due immediately, the remaining due upon delivery. Needless to say I was shocked. Never in a million years would I have booked a move costing 22,000 dollars. This is when he (Victor) told me that we had gone over the original estimate of cubic feet. I was never told at any point before or during the move that I would owe more money considering this was what I thought to be a fixed price contract. I told the driver I am not paying that amount. First off, I do not have $11,000 dollars sitting around in my bank accounts. Second, I believe it is illegal to promise (via contract) to a set price and then change the terms of the contract. They now have all of my stuff somewhere and are in essence holding my stuff hostage. The lead mover (Victor) had his office call me directly. I spoke to Madeline with Oasis Moving and Storage who tried to strong arm more money out of me. She asked if I could pay $9,000 today and make $3000 dollar payments. As I explained to Madeline I do not have that kind of money. She wanted me to put it on credit cards or find a way to pay them the money I supposedly now owed them.

I continued to tell Madeline I do not have that kind of money. I do not have that kind of credit either. She continued to apply pressure saying that they can bring all my stuff back but that would cost me $9,000. As I explained to Madeline the only money I had was for the remaining balance for the move. She told me to write a check for the $2200 and then write a postdated check for another amount. I again explained to Madeline I do not have the amount in excess of the stated contract. Madeline told me the movers are not leaving the house until they get their money.

Under immense pressure and duress I signed the moving documents considering I had other people moving in the very next day. Madeline said she would take a posted dated check as form of payment. She told me to postdate it for 02/15/20. As I write this complaint (02/1/20) Oasis moving and storage has tried to cash a 2000 dollars posted check. The actions of both companies involved in the transaction amount to extortion under duress and fraud. This is a classic Mafia style shakedown. Consumer protection needs to be enforces and these companies need to be shut down. I am not the only person they have committed this type of action against. Multiple complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau and nothing has been done to stop these companies from ripping off people. If I had known Oasis Moving and Storage was being used at all I would have never contracted with Connected Van Lines. The reviews of Oasis Moving and Storage on this website depict this company as criminal.

Long-distance move from Tucson, AZ to Port Orchard, WA

Do not Use!

I recently relocated from AZ to WA and against all advice, used a broker company due to the good quote they gave me (US Standard Moving Storage Corp). They sent out movers from Oasis, who promptly stated that my furniture was too bulky and that an extra fee of $2100 was needed before they would transport it. I was allowed to pay half on the spot and the rest later. Being in a time rush I paid them. I only received my furniture 17 days later, when the driver called me up on New Years Eve and stated they were coming! When they arrived, another persons stuff (headed for Spokane, WA) had to be offloaded onto my driveway in order to get to mine. I incurred a lot of damage to my furniture. Most of my furniture was very new, and high end. The drivers also left a package of the other peoples things in my garage. After unpacking fully, I realized I was missing stuff. I had filled out a claim beforehand from all the damage, and was told that because I already filled out a claim there was nothing they could do. They were not interested in the other persons belongings in my garage (Spokane delivery). This has been the worst move I have ever experienced in my life, and I have moved many times. Avoid both companies. I do NOT recommend.

Do not use this company. They stole or lost a box of my heirloom sterling silver. The damage to my glassware, bicycle, furniture, heirloom china, framed pictures was shocking and very devastating after waiting in my apt for 6 weeks for delivery. Customer service was rude and unhelpful over the phone. I read all the reviews and agree with others that this moving company should be put out of business.

Do not use this company.

Please for the love of god do not use this company. Use any other moving company. I’ve been looking on yelp to leave a review but this company doesn’t show up on yelp.

I’ll try to keep this short for those who will read this in the future. Everything about this company is shady. The day of my move they showed up 6 hours late, and after going over my quote and deciding to add on a few things I really didn’t want to leave behind, I ended up getting charged double the original quote price (originally was around $1,200, I ended up getting charged $3,165 before they would deliver my things). I was young and alone, and the movers extorted me for money saying they’d “take care of my things as long as I take care of them”, which scared me and it was late at night (because they were late showing up) so I had to go take money out to tip them each $25. They lost one of my most important boxes which had a few hundred dollars worth of electronics in it and they didn’t care, and after I spent days driving across the country and got home I had to wait over 4 weeks before they delivered my things. I kept calling and asking and they kept saying they were waiting for a truck, so my things sat in a warehouse for about a month.

So please, please choose any other company. I hope this one goes out of business.

Zero star review...years later

It has been a while but after realizing all the things I'm missing I'm beyond upset. I moved from AZ to OH. Had a quote for 1400, paid it up front. A month later we got a call the truck was coming with our stuff. The only catch was we had to come up with another 3800 THAT MORNING, OR THEY WERE KEEPING OUR POSSESSIONS. Luckily my dad came through. Should've called the cops. Met the driver in aparkinglot before he would come deliver. And we had to unload the things with little to no help. My brother actually injured his back unloading someone elses table that was on top of our stuff. In the end I saw another box of mine that included my coin collection on top of another persons possesions. I told him it was mine as I recognized it. He claimed it wasn't. I took it down and told him what was in it, at which point he agreed it must've been, although it was open and half of the contents were missing. We went over the list of boxes missing and he tried to remedy this by giving us another persons couch, literally. Their operator or whoever picked up their phone at the time did not help at all. Again, should have called police and filed a lawsuit but it was already so upsetting. Boxes of baseball cards, coins, sentimental items I don't even recall, all gone. Nothing but threats of retaliation and keeping YOUR belongings. We were on the phone with the operator telling her of our issues when she called the driver and told him to leave after we paid him and were unloading our things. Absolutely insane. Never use them. Move it yourself. This business should not be allowed to operate.

Lost & missing items

I would give them negative stars if I could!!! They are very incompetent, either they lost a lot of our things or someone from their company stole them. The list of damaged items is long and detailed. They wrapped packing tape around our things on bare wood and on the TV screen, they said it would come right off. It did and so did the finish. I had a brand new compound sliding miter saw never opened. I did not make it to my new location. They opened our boxes and went shopping. They took items of sentimental value that can't be replaced. Cost way too much money and too many things were lost or stolen. DON'T use these people!!!!

This is absolutely beyond a doubt the worst moving company! It's been three years and they still have not found my safe. It was covered with moving labels with my name and new address! SCAMMERS-DO NOT HIRE

This moving company is apart of an elaborate scheme that operates off of deceptive business practices. I hired Move Smart, out of Boca Raton Florida, who made out like I hit the jackpot. Their prices were $1000 less than other companies, and they talk so sweet and amazing on the phone, it reminded of a timeshare salesman. You are rushed through signing the contract and paying a deposit to reserve this incredible price. Our deposit was $2400 for a $3650 move. This was the contract I signed. Three days before the move, quality calls from MoveSmart, and despite taking off many items from my original inventory, they add $1000. Then the day of the move, Oasis Moving and Storage shows up with a brand new contract on the spot, tacks on another $1000, and tells you to sign it or they aren't moving your stuff and you lose the deposit. What choice do you have at that point? As a lower middle class family in a pandemic, we had no extra money to hire new movers last minute. The cherry on top, they request the extra payment in cash or money order. I have filed a police report against both companies in both states and lodged formal complaints with the DA in Florida and Nevada. I have also reported this company to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. I will have a sheriff come out tomorrow when my stuff is here and file a police report in my new state as well, if they do not release my stuff. What a nightmare....Oh and forget customer service after you pay a deposit, it is non existent. Don't believe, search Move Smart and Oasis Moving and Storage and look at the hundreds of reviews. After all the money they tacked on, I could have hire Colonial or Allied. Live and learn.

First DO NOT GO THROUGH A BROKER they don't tell you that they pawn your move to these PEEPS. Costing me $30,000 to go from MInden NV to Missouri. Holding my furniture hostage in LV and wanted to charge $2800 per mo. to store my furniture. Madeline who works for them let me know that just two weeks before the free month is up. Now scrambling to get my furniture moved to another Storage in Missouri. Why has someone filed a lawsuit for bait and switch. The company I thought I was getting was Empire Interstate Movers. They are just a Broker. Hell how am I to know if they don't tell you. Stay away from Empire and Kyle. Rip Off.. Thought my move would be around $15000.00 now $30,000.00

BEWARE Do Not Use

Do NOT use this company. I would give them negative stars if I could. They do not keep your items together. They pack everything horribly. Most of my items are damaged or lost. They do not give you 72 hours notice to deliver, rather a few hours then do not show up or even have the courtesy to call you to let you know. Horrible, horrible movers ruined many of my items, left trash in my home, refused to let me count my items, lied about me having all of my items, tried to keep some furniture on the truck (I had to go onto the truck and get it myself), refused to give me boxes I identified as mine in someone else's pile of things, were rude and left without my consent that I had everything delivered.
