The Worst Company-don't Use Them Ever.

The reviews on YELP say it all!  Oasis is a nightmare--they took our property and never responded to our request for a delivery date.  Only got our property after contacting the government: protectmymove.com, then we finally got our furniture after 56 days.  It was mostly damaged--broken pictures, dishes, furniture bashed, scratched, dented, a box was missing, furniture and lamps were  bent or broken and were unusable and these were newly purchased items.  Later we learned that we could have upgraded our insurance, but we were never offered the option--instead only .60 per pound(!?) and then stuck with their arbitrator who offered us $126 for our loss--it was a joke!  This company should not be allowed to operate. Their quote was reasonable compared to other companies, but if you consider the damage we lost thousands of dollars at the end of the day.  I highly recommend that any customer review the BBB posts, Yelp and do an internet search--be careful of their bogous reviews that give 4 stars--how can you see so many 1 stars and then somany 4 stars without wondering why their are NO in between reviews..very suspicious!  I do not trust Oasis after what we have been through and that they signed our name on the waivers. BEWARE!!

Oasis Moving and Storage.

First off, after paying a deposit we were forgotton about and at the end of our four day window no one had shown up to pick up our stuff.  I called everyday and was assured someone was coming.  Finally, they said they could come 2 days after our window ended.  We had an international flight leaving and that was unacceptable to me but was the only thing they could do.  Why give a 4 day window if you still cannot make it sometime during that time?  Also, beware of the sales tactics.  I did research but not enough.  Oasis said they do not sell off their bids. Ever.  Well the company that showed up was not them but someone they contracted out.  They promised the guys shirts and truck would say Oasis.  It did not.  Nor was their an explanation.  Second, Brian and the other salemen sound super good on the phone but they screen their calls.  As soon as moving day came, it is impossible to contact them with questions or complaints.  Your call (they have your phone number) goes right to their complaints/law dept to a mean guy who makes you sound like the idiot.  They quoted me at $1600 for 3500 lbs.  We had a moving company come in and quote us as well as to weight.  It was accurate.  Oasis's contracter showed up and said it was $2400 for the cubic foot needed.  Brian promised it would not go up but maybe $100.  Oasis insisted I had to have added things to my account.  I did not.  Brian underquoted me to get my business and then the other company did not honor the "binding" estimate.  The only thing that matters is your cubic foot rate.  Get the lowest possible quote.  Finally our expensive dresser was missing the boards to attach the mirror.  How you lose those I have no idea.  They unassembled everything and reassembled it so we had no idea where they put them.  It also looks like they rummaged through our packed drawers during the move..Strange.  Believe the other reviews.  They are a very shady company that hires salespeople that are super responsive until moving day.  Then you are stuck and have to pay whatever they say.

Long-distance move from Utah to Georgia

Poor.

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DELT WITH IT TOOK 35 days for our furniture to arrive with excuse after excuse. When it finally arrived ,several items were damaged ,the assambly screws were all missing, we still sleeping on the floor on our matresses. They droped my Plasma TV and cracked the screen NoTV either. They never steped up to the plate rather they pass you around like a rug with no concern and no information what so ever each one of the people 5 of them we talked to us lied and told us false stetements on our delivery. The only time they were promt was when they were asking for deposits , and money for pick up, they  were also very sure to tell us they would not unload unless you pay first.   So we are stuck with a mess and still trying to put a claim together to try and recover our losses and No one has called us or return our calls.

Long-distance move from Nevada to Illinois

They did the job but..

As they don't physically come give you an estimate expect the final cost to be more than they tell you on the phone unless you have the abiluty to weigh everything youself. Also beware that the cost of their boxes is pretty high. If your boxes aren't all uniform in size they will make you buy their boxes to consolidate the little ones, amd if you tvs and mirrors aren't in boxes they will do the same with those. They charge you for packing tape even if you have everything taped up as they use it to secure the id stickers to everything, which would be fine if they didn, t use 15 rolls of it and leave half used rolls all over your hiuse. Watch them move everything as they damaged the house I was leaving and as I didn't see them do it, they wouldn't acknowledge it. It seems there are several subs taking over throughout the move as the delivery company was not Oasis. Like I said they did the job, minor damage to one table leg, mattress wasbpretty dirty when it arrived but that is about it. Read every word of your contract and budget for more than they tell you. Delivery was sooner than I expected, which was just awesome. I would give them "use with caution".

Long-distance move from Nevada to Virginia

Never ever again! In life!

On 07/01/13 I spoke with Justin, sales guy, to arrange a move from las vegas to Virginia. Like everyone else has previously stated, they are more than accommodating and nice as pie before they get your deposit/money and your items! So I explained to Justin that the "Latest" I needed to have my things in VA is Aug 1st since I work from home.  Without studdering. The "Typical" response from the shark was" Oh no problem. We have a 7 - 12 day delivery time and can definitely handle that but we'd have to pick up your items by the 22nd at the latest in order to get your stuff to you by Aug 1st." so, I agreed to the 22nd pickup date. We went over a complete item list from room to room and he booked me for 442 cubic ft at a quote of $1400. I put up a reservation deposit of $140.  Then Justin tells me he can guarantee my Aug 1st date if I pay another $400 and I tell him straight out "No" and why would I need to guarantee it for another $400 if it's a 7 - 12 day delivery time (shoulda ran then!).  Anyway, on the 22nd they sent 2 guys to come load my furniture in their truck and they also were nice as pie.  However, once again. As everyone else has stated, my load goes from 442 cubic ft to 650 cubic ft equalling an additional $736, so my total move cost immediately jumps from $1400 to $2136 for a 2bd apt.  The driver told me I would have to put at least $900 deposit down that day. Which I did grudgingly.  It was so last minute and I had already given my 30-day notice to vacate so I felt stuck between a rock and a hard place.  After loading my things on the truck he told me to put on the contract the first available deliver date July 22nd and that would guarantee that my stuff would leave their warehouse within a day or two.  So, that's exactly what I did so they could get my stuff their by Aug 1st.  I flew to VA on July 27th, a Saturday, and called their office first thing on Monday, the 29th.  The delivery lady, Maya, started giving me a bunch of fluff and run around by immediately telling me that according to my contract they had 18 days to deliver my things and that their scheduling someone that day to transport my things.  So, I tell her what her sales rep oral agreement was, 7 - 12 days, and she repeats herself again as if I didn't hear her the first time. She did this a 3rd time and I told her I don't know why she thinks I didn't hear her the 1st two times and that all I wanted to know plain and simple was if my stuff had still been sitting in their storage for a week now and had not even left vegas. She hesitantly said "Yes" and then repeated to me that they were working on scheduling my things to be transported to Virginia.  I asked to speak to Justin and she said: "Justin can no longer help you with this matter"! I was like wth!  So, of course, I get off the phone with her and call back several times to speak to Justin and to no avail. He pulls the "Disappearing act" better than David Copperfield himself!  So, of course, I get Maya again and I tell her Justin offered to guarantee my move by Aug 1st if I paid an additional $400 and that they needed to guarantee that date without me paying any more money becuz I feel like I've been totally misled by their sales rep becuz I had to have my work their by that date.  She tells me she has to talk to "Upper mgmt" (some made up bs becuz you will never get a name associated with "Upper mgmt" no matter how hard you try) to see if they can expedite my move and get it there by Aug 1st.  She doesn't call me back, but is brazen enough to send me an email stating they can expedite my move for an additional $1500 on top of the remaining balance of $1136 I owed left on my contract!  At that point, I wanted to buy another plane ticket back to vegas just to go to their dam office and get in their face! Then I go look up their company and see about 200 - 300 negative reviews total on about 2 or 3 different websites from 2008 til now!  The horror stories are all true and I cannot believe this company is still in business! So, when I call her back and let her know I'm not paying them another dam dime she sends me to their "So-called" customer srvc mgr Robert. Who has gotta be the most condescending, rudest, obnoxious customer service rep I've ever talked to in my entire life! Needless to say, this man used every excuse in the book why they are not responsible for the mess they created and told me they had 18 days to deliver my items and that I would not get my furniture until  the week of Aug 5th - Aug 9th becuz their company would not be able to tell me exactly when they will be able to ship my items! I told him that I thought customer service reps are supposed to "Help" resolve situations. Not hurt them and make them worse! Of course, he didn't like this but at this point, I could care less!  I told him I would look into finding a relative that evening to come get all my things out of their storage by the following day and cancel the contract and call him back.  Now I called back right at 5 pm closing.  Even crazier, their delivery manager answered the phone, told me everyone already left for the day, and tried to hassle me for the additional $1500 expediting fee by telling me he had a truck leaving next Tuesday, Aug 6th and could have my stuff to me by Aug 9th or 10th (notice how apparently no one except the delivery manager knows when a truck would be leaving out(total bs!). I told him why in the heck would I pay an additional $1500 for that delivery time when that would put me at the 18 day delivery time stated in the contract anyway! Basically, my stuff was going to be scheduled to be on his truck with or without the additional $1500 expediting fee! When he figured out I had his number he then tried to change his story very quickly and started telling me not to pay the fee, but I had already called him on his bs!  So, I was more determined than ever to get my furniture out of their storage asap no matter what the cost!  On top of the circus ring, they already had me in just from the "Start" of this. I did not want to risk what others had experienced at the "Back" end as well. Broken furniture, things missing, dirty furniture. Etc! So, I immediately called my family in vegas and had a Penske truck reserved for the next day. My step-dad and cousin went to their storage first thing on July 30th and picked up all my items from their storage. Of course, they found a way to keep my total deposit of $1040 at storage cost of $100 and $940 for a 2-man moving crew for 3 -4 hours and bs packing material (all my things were boxed and packed already except the large furniture. Couch, love seat, glass desk, 2 headboards, 1 footboard, 2 nightstands, 2 dressers, a 4-drawer file cabinet, and a 2-drawer file cabinet). All just to transport my things 10 miles down the road at their storage facility.  None of these expenses was stated in their contract of how much they would charge! The accountant mall could not even give me a breakdown of the costs, and to this day I have yet to receive an itemized bill for the $1040 deposit I put down. In the end at an additional $2000, my things are now in a Penske truck on their way here to VA via my cousin and his friend and will be here by Friday, Aug 2nd. I am definitely taking them to small claims court for my deposit becuz this was the most unprofessional rip-off transaction I've ever encountered in my entire life! Run-run-run for your life if you ever even consider this company for a move! (I can say a lot more regarding this nightmare but truly I'm tired of typing. Just heed the warning please!).

Long-distance move from Utah to Wisconsin

Overall good!

Oasis was really good to work with premoving with planning and scheduling our move. We were frustrated when they changed our move date 3 times on us, and were late! However I was pleasantly surprised that the price ended up really being what was quoted to me which is great! And I was very impressed with the delivery men and very few items being damaged. My husband and I joked and betted on what things would break, figuring it would be inevitable. But the only thing that broke wwere one glass cup and one plastic tray..both of very litle value so it was great! Overall good service, but be flexible with pickup and delivery time.

Awful moving company, do NOT use them.

Absolutely horrible moving company.  DO NOT USE THEM!   They charged me $500 more than the original quote, picked up my furniture June 6, and today is 7/3 and the furniture is still in Las Vegas.   When I contact them they only give me a huge runaround "It should be there soon".  We can't guarantee anything."  They have blatently broken their contract which states 14 business days is the longest they will take to deliver.    I hope to someday see my belongings.  Meanwhile I am submitting my honest review to every website and forum, as well as contacting my local TV news channels.  I hope to prevent this from happening to someone else.

Local move within Nevada

Misinformed.

My original quote from Brian stated there would be 3 professionally dressed men with a 24 ft. truck.  I was told the travel time fee of $110.00 would be waived.  I specifically asked Brian what this was and he said it was from point "A" which was where I was moving from to point "B", where I was moving to.  Travel time was waived.  This was the ONLY reason I went with Oasis was because this fee was waived.  Never was I told travel time meant when the crew left Oasis to when they arrived at my place to load my things up.
I had everything boxed and in the garage ready for them to load into their truck.  With the exception of an entertainment center, everything was wrapped in plastic.  Out of the 3 men that showed up, none of them could hardly speak english and they were the slowest movers I'd ever seen.  My brother and I loaded all of my belongings a year ago in an hour and that was just the two of us doing it!  These men took over 2 hours to load my things up and the so called "travel time" was a trip of 22 miles, and even at the worst time of day, takes no more than 20-25 minutes.  It took them 45-55 minutes to finally arrive to my new place.

Before they unloaded the truck, one of the crew insisted I pay right then and I told him no because they hadn't even started to unload the truck and also because I was told the "travel time" fee was being waived, I wanted to speak to Brian before paying them anything.  Once I finally spoke to Brian, suddenly, the definition of "travel time" had changed and now meant something else.  I ended up paying them for 4 hours when it could and should have been done in 2 maximum.  I am on a very fixed and tight income budget and Brian knew this from the beginning, simply because I told him so.

The crew weren't dressed professionally or in any sort of uniforms. The simple fact they didn't speak english was a problem and I found it rude of them to speak their language in front of me.  They were, in my opinion, intentionally slow.  They broke a couple of planters right off the  start ad were just rude all the way around.
DO NOT use Oasis Movers for anything.  I'm still trying to find a way to figure how to pay bills and eat after the ordeal with them.  I'm very bitter and very angry!

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Oasis hijacking.

Let's begin with the quote given for the move , original quote tripled so I canceled the move and that was after they were a 2 days late . So Robert in management called me and now I'm at work and says we can go with original quote and the paperwork could be emailed no probem. Yes problem . Theyhad my 14 year old daughter sign contract to move my items from California to their storage in Las vegas instead of houston. They refused to respond to my calls and was just downright nasty to me after they basically tricked a child that is unable to sign any contract anywhere . After all the lies and unprofessional ism I decided I need to get away from this place and paid for my belongings which at that time meytal said they would tell me the location of my furniture in houston . To date still unable to reach the moving Co r and let storage since then , in addition to I Google company name and they did not have any records of my move. Now meytal is no longer there, wonder why and Luna sends me an email. Now they are communicating requesting 840 and guess what Robert in management said we will tell you then where your furniture is at. I cannot begin to tell you the stress this has created in my life. First they hijack my things and now I can't get them back. I suggest anyone even thinking of using oasis don't you will be very sorry. If anyone out there interested in filing class action please reply to email. This place needs to be shut down so that there incompetent and obviously uneducated staff can learn that without a customer you do not have a business. I too will be contacting U.S. Dot in addition to BBB and the recommendations given by another victim of Oasis as well as filing court papers for the unauthorized move of my belongings to Las Vegas. This behavior is unacceptable anywhere and for sure in the United States.
