Long-distance move from Nevada to Pennsylvania

Avoid!!

When I first purchased the moving company, the price was $1098.00 on September 5th 2012. The price for packaging the tv's were included in the price per Justin Claus. When the movers came, they stated that the packaging was not on the work order and that they would have to charge it. We had to sign the document for them to move. I called Oasis moving almost everyday for 2 weeks trying to get the price where it was suppose to be. After speaking with the Supervisor Morgan she requested the email that stated the price and I sent it. The next day she told me that the final payment of $498.00 is due instead of $657.00. She has told me this price on a number of occasions. I even had someone from the company call and leave a voicemail stating that a man was trying to call and get the final payment price which happened to be the driver, and she said it was $498.00. When the driver got there he said his paperwork said $657.00. He waited over 5 hours for someone from the company to get back to him. At this time I called Morgan several times until she finally called me back. She stated she told me that she never said it was $498.00 and that I need to pay the whole amount or they will keep my things and I will be charged extra. I never had that conversation with her!! And how dare them threaten me about keeping my things!!

Oasis Moving and Storage.

I had a horrible experience with this moving company.  They were supposed to move half of my furniture and boxes into storage and the other half into a house.  I labelled all my boxes for them and told them that only the ones labelled "storage" should go into storage.  They ended up moving ALL of my boxes, regardless of their labels, into storage.  I couldn't get the boxes back out on my own because some of them were tucked tightly in between furniture, and when I called customer service, after passing my phone call around several times, someone ended up telling me that it was my fault for not overseeing the move and that they would have to charge me again for fixing the problem. So yeah, my advice:1) Don't use them.2) Don't use them.3) If you must use them, don't assume your movers can read.

Delivery.

Don't use this disonest company. Very bad communication, won't return phone calls, full of excuses why they can't deliver (on time). They held our delivery hostage for additional fees before they would release it. We are suing. The only thing that they have is a great sales team. Don't be FOOLED! If they had a negitive rating system, they would earn it hands down!

Long-distance move from South Carolina to Texas

Worst moving company! Scam!

The story which was already explained to by Robert in customer service to a dispatch manager. He is stating that I will be getting back 90% of my money that I have already paid to oasis moving. Considering that I booked to schedule for a specific day, it should have already been assigned, scheduled, and ready for pick up. That did not happen that way. The move was for a Tuesday afternoon. Dotty had called on Monday and begged to see if they can come on Wednesday to have them come pick it up. I agreed re-scheduling mine and other people's schedule. All day Wednesday I waiting for the moving company or even someone to call me about a moving company picking up my stuff. Nobody showed up. Nobody called. I called twice already to see when they will come pick up my stuff and dotty had informed me that she will call dispatch and someone will call me back. Once again, nobody called. This was getting ridiculous. I called and canceled my order. Dotty says that she will help me find a moving company to pick up my stuff. That is not my responsibility, that is oasis' responsibility! I said to cancel my order again and she said that she has canceled my order and said that I should receive the payment back to me within 1-3 business days depending on my bank. Well, it is already been a week and still, have no received any refund. I called Robert and he explained to me what the dispatch manager said and I was not allowed to talk to them. And to my shock, I am being charged $150 for a "Rescheduling fee. "I never rescheduled! This is beyond ridiculous! Nowhere in that invoice is there stating that I am being charged $150 for deposit. I was never stated there was a booking deposit when I originally booked it nor does it say that anywhere in my estimate invoice email. If you look back at it, it states that I will be charged "A $150 rescheduling fee for moves being scheduled without a minimum of 7 business days advance notice. "I never rescheduled so I should not be charged for anything! This is not at fault to me, this is at fault to oasis. The company itself should have been more prepared for a cross-country move. Do not do business with this company! They will try to take every penny you have!

London and Robert.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced.  I will be sure and contact the BBB and all other website I can post negaitve reviews.  Estimate was not near the quote!  Charged ridiculous amounts for supplies and was a surprise after all my items were on the truck.  Told the movers to consult me before using supplies and they didn't.  Movers were left trash all over my home and outside my home.  Paid 40 dollars for a TV box and my 55 inch TV had multiple cracks!  Insurnace was never discussed up front if I knew my things would be covered at 69 cents per pound would have gotten more insurance.  The awesome thing they have you sign something from the mover who can barely speak English about insurance as your stuff is already on the truck!  Of course your going to sign!  Awful company!!

Unloading.

The minimum I paid for unloading my rental truck of household items into a storage unit was 3 hours I got 2 hours of service and the storage unit was full to capacity. I asked if they would move the 6 large desk pieces to another location less than 4 miles away. I was told no because I did not have cash. No other options were offered. I was left with my items sitting in a Uhaul storage unit driveway to move it myself.

I had to leave my 12 year old grandson alone to sit with the items while I moved one load by myself (a single 56 year old woman) and had to hire 2 workers from the street curb to help finish the job.  There Customer Service did not give a RATS A_ _This was unexceptabe service and not what I paid for. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  .

Poor business practices.

Pickup and Delivery Coordinator: Maya Sharif Executive  Relocation Consultant: Robert Schrader move from Tempe, Az to Lawrenceville, GA Pick up date: July 24, 2013 Delivery date: August 30, 2013 original estimated price: 1,831.50 actual Order total : 2,628.70     Oasis failed to provide weight tickets for my delivery. I had to constantly contact them to figure out what was going on with my shipment. I was told, up to the 17th business day, that my delivery was scheduled to be delivered within 18 business days from the pick up date. My household goods sat in Las Vegas until "a truck headed east was available". I was never given an accurate estimated delivery date until the driver called me with a 24hr notice. My delivery showed up in a truck marked "Smooth Moving" when its advertised to be delivered in an Oasis truck. My delivery was delivered after 8pm. The drivers refused to reassemble my desk.

Omg!!

OK.. Saying these guys sucked is an understatement. They arrived on time, with a great professional attitude and a beautiful company truck. We thought we were in good hands. They loaded in a timely fashion and they were on their way. Our delivery was set for 10 days after pick-up. That was great being that we were driving the whole way with kids and cats. We knew it would take time to get to where we were going.
On our trip, we got 3 phone calls on updates as to where they were, and every time they called, the price had gone up $200. Needless to say, the delivery date came and went and I was on the phone everyday pestering them about where our stuff was. I was on the phone so much that I went over my minutes with T-Mobile multiple times and every time, they gave me 1000 minutes free. They were awesome!
Finally, 30 days later, they delivered our stuff in a beat up, run down piece of crap trailer. 2 problems, they broke our headboard, and our mattress and box spring were missing. This was yet another nightmare. Thirty or so more phone calls, and thousands of more minutes later, we finally got our bed after their truck broke down and had a third party truck come to their rescue. Upon delivery, Oasis called the driver saying we had to pay $500 more for the delivery of our bed. They driver said absolutely not and hung up on them. In the end, we paid our originally quoted price of $1686.
Lesson to be learns here, you get what you pay for. Oasis is a ripoff. Their customer support is nonexistent. Use a reputable company. The good reviews on here are either miracles or lies. Don't go off of those reviews and hope you get the same service. It won't happen.

Yes.

People do not communicate with one another. They tell you one thing and then they change. They don't write down notes or lie if they are there. It took over 6weeks to get my belongings. They said it would take 4 days They said they would work with me, they never did. The worst company to deal with. Things are missing screws because I found them on the floor when they left.  I have never written a review, stay away from this company read all the reviews, trust the people who move.. Even the lady I started with has quit this company.

Long-distance move from California to Tennessee

Oasis-horrible service.

A letter to Oasis- I thought you should know about what happened with my move.  I'm extremely disappointed  with you, your company, the moving men, the delivery truck driver and the claims company you use.  My things were not delivered as you promised, they were put in mice and rat infested storage somewhere.  You told me that my stuff would be on the road that same day.  When I arrived in at my location and my things weren't "right behind me" like you promised, I called your office and  had to practically beg someone to look in to where my stuff was.  And when they said they didn't know, and then figured out it was put in long term storage, I had to beg again to someone to get my stuff sent here.  Since you told me that my stuff would be 'right behind me' on the road, I only packed enough of my belongings to last exactly how long you told me it would take for my things to arrive.  I left my location on 9/10/14, arrived to my location on 9/15/2014 and my things didn't get to my location until 10/12/2014.

First, your quote you so aggressively competed with other moving companies for (even me using my own U-Haul) seemed like you really cared about helping me get moved, safely.  But, by the time the packers packed everything up, the quote you gave me was nowhere in sight.  By the time the packers added all kinds of extra charges for whatever they were doing, the cost was WAY over what you bid. You did not disclose that they would add extra fees for all the things they were doing, nor was I asked during them loading my things if these things were okay to do and what the fees associated with them would be.  Once they had my things in their truck, the leader demanded a deposit, my signature on the contract, and he was not nice about it. I was cornered and trapped with all my personal possessions being held hostage.

Obviously by what I said above, my stuff didn't get here when it was promised.  The delivery man called to set up delivery and couldn't speak a lick of English.  He was four hours late, and finally arrived at 11pm at night.  He had no clue as to where my belongings were in this truck and kept opening the trailer and saying 'this you?'.  When we finally found my stuff, it was all thrown in to the trailer like someone just tossed my things in there, haphazardly.  Nothing was stacked nicely, and my boxes labeled fragile were on the bottom of the pile.  The driver refused to take cash for delivery, until I finally begged him to please let me have my things and that the agreement was C.O.D.  When I took a picture of the mess pile of my things, he closed the doors and threatened to leave with my money and with my things.  All of a sudden he could speak English ok at this point.  He had no crew to unload my things, so three of my family members had to unload my things.  The driver did lend a hand, until he broke my 52' plasma tv right in front of me.  It was laying stacked up on the top the 13 foot pile of my belongings and came crashing down to the ground when he was standing on my box of Waterford China moving things around.  This was the tv you convinced me to pay extra for special boxing to protect it from damage. The driver continuously stood on boxes labeled fragile and when I asked him what he was doing, he acted like he had no idea that he could not stand on them. This encounter was horrific, and I felt like I was dealing with a mobster.  He had my things all jumbled together with other people's belongings inside of his trailer, and was going to do what ever he pleased with it.  That was clear, despite the language barrier.

During my unpacking, I found that most of my fragile items were broken.  These items were heirlooms my ancestors have given to me in their inheritance.  Things that are irreplaceable.  This broke my  heart and still does to this day when I think about it.  Some of my things have been in storage, and when I go to look for them..they are just not there.  I am missing belongings that I am still finding out about to this day.  I will also add that the packers used tape all over my belongings and it ruined many of my belongings.  Why would someone put packing tape on hand carved maple and mahogany pieces of furniture?  The sticky stuff will NOT come off!  I spent a lot of money on packing materials (rolls and rolls of bubble packing, peanuts, packing paper and extra strong boxes), so how they could have had thing shattered on the inside reveals to me that my things were not handled the way you promised by a long stretch.

I placed my claim with your claims department for the broken items and for what I knew at the time was missing.  I spent a lot of time doing the work, taking pictures, and trying to look up what the value of these irreplaceable items was.  It was all done in vain because the claims company came back saying that they would send me $72.60.  What an insult!  Even though I provided a copy of the receipt for my plasma tv, the company will not reimburse me for it.  Not even in GOOD FAITH did your company or the claims company offer to cover the cost of the tv.  I half expected at least to be reimbursed for the expense of the 'special packing' I paid you to protect the tv.  But to no avail.  To this very day, I have not even seen the $72.60, even though I had to jump through hoops to get my claim filled out, filed with in a time frame, and notarized for payment.

Bottom line-half my things were shattered and/or broken when they arrived, my furniture is ruined from tape residue, mice and/or rats were living in my boxes, so most of it had to be thrown out; the things I had to pay to have moved, didn't really arrive, in essence.  You know you have your customers over a barrel when you mislead them with your quote, the packers come and add all these extra charges all the while people have a move out date deadline, and can't very well back out of the deal.  Your company held my things hostage, forcing me to pay WAY more than I agreed to, threatened not to deliver my belongings on more than one occasion, and when the things finally did arrive disheveled, broken and otherwise unusable, offered nothing to compensate for the losses and ruined items.  My belongings were all special to me, otherwise, I would not have moved them with me.  There was a specific reason I trusted you to handle my move - because you told me your company would handle my belongings with care.  You lied to me, and your company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.  Words cannot describe effectively the amount of disappointment I have in you for what you have done.  Making a commission or a salary in NO way should ever compromise humanity and integrity.  Why did you fight so hard to out-bid every other company, if you had no intentions of providing excellent customer care to me?  When I tried to reach out to you while on the road during my trip, you refused my phone calls and kept referring me to your sorry excuse for a customer service department.  You played an integral role in the cold-hearted way I was treated once the sale was done.  You didn't care one bit about me once the sale left your desk.  Prior to that, you treated me like a personal relative or friend.  Based on the way I was treated during this whole situation, you and your company are an absolute disgrace. I regret that I ever associated myself with you and your company.

Oasis Moving and Storage---FRAUD ALERT.

This is the WORST moving company. I moved across the country. They quoted $2890 and than after they started putting things on the truck, they wanted another 1000 Dollars. The movers arrived with no tools and stole the ones I let them use and from the ones they took from my car.

Once the shipment arrived in the new state, nearly everything was damaged. It did not arrive in the truck that it went out on either.

The driver tried to get me to give him another $1800 stating that his employees contract wouldn't allow them to walk 200 yards to put my belongings in my storage shed in my back yard even though I had arranged for it..

One of the guys than told me that the driver was LYING AND there were no professional movers. The driver had tried to solicit people from Craigslist but none had shown up. The driver had saw one of the guys moving his mom in a uhaul around the corner and offered to pay him. The other was a neighborhood CRACKHEAD who he allowed in my home under the vise that he worked for Allied Transport, which was not true.

Though I paid for 5000 Cubic Feet, the driver said that my move was less than 4000 Cubic Feet.

Items were missing, completely broken including my Big Screen TV. My leather sectional was broken in three places. The parts to my bedroom sets, missing. An entire Large Box of Towels, missing.

Even though I paid for assembly, the driver dumped most of my belongings in my driveway in he middle of the night and took off when the Police arrived to ask him to park his truck in my yard and not on the street. Instead, he took off with some of my things still on the truck and didn't even pay the Crackheads.

My items were left unassembled, mostly broken. I caught the Crackhead go through my suitcase etc.

Please watch out for this company. They do sneaky things like putting the claim tags on top of the packing material instead of the actual item. After the police arrived, the driver took the packing materials with the claim tickets on, which were mines because I had paid over two hundred dollars for them.

The FEDS really need to check out this company. Very deceptive business practices. A crackhead is not a professional mover and they refused to give me the name of the driver or a Claim Form..

Don't use them.

Long-distance move from Utah to California

Charged my card a fraudulent $989.

After a poor performance on the move its self (lots of broken stuff), these crooks charged me an extra 989 dollars to releases my stuff. My move was based on weight, they couldn't prove the weight with a post pick up weight ticket (they had a pre-pick-up weight ticket). After 7 calls to customer service I was forced to charge back through my credit card. My credit card awarded me my money back. Oasis moving provided my credit card company with a copy of the invoice I signed. With one difference, they wrote right over the total price, and filled in a section that was blank with a higher price. I had the original invoice copies to prove they forged them. The seriously just scribbled over the price and wrote a new one. All the other price had my intitals and their new one didn't, they didn't even try to make it look passable. So not only did they try and screw me out of $989 dollars, they literally committed a crime to try and keep the money they shouldn't have charged in the first place. .

You will get charged more then you expected if you use oasis.

Please Do Not use this company. Really do your research on company's reputation.  They give you a low price quote and then charge you a ton for materials. I specifically told brian that I don't need wraps or other packaging materials and got charged $60 for shrink wraps,$21 for tape. I only have a 5*10 storage stuff to move. I also told him there is an elevator where they pick up my stuff and still got charged $70 for that.  Worst part, they don't give you your furniture if you don't pay what they request. You as a customer only have one option left. Pay the amount and congrats, you got robbed. You cannot even negotiate the arrival time with the delivery guy. They say 8-10 and it has to be 8-10. other wise you will get charge $500 for re-delivery, this company should be out of business. .

Worst Experience Ever!!

Worst Moving Experience Ever!! I share my story to save anyone else from the nightmare we lived. We hired Oasis Movers based on a recommendation of a friend who had moved cross country prior to us. We were moving from Seattle area to Orlando, which we had done 2 years prior with no issues.  At first we spoke to a very nice agent who gave us our quote and set everything up for us.  We confirmed the move for July 31, 2014 and paid the required deposit.  We were told they set up your pick on a 3 day window of time.  We confirmed the dates would be July 29th -31st, we had to vacate our apartment on the 31st so the dates worked well for us.  They told us the driver would contact us 48 hours before the pickup and as of July 28th we hadn’t heard anything from the movers.  By the end of the 28th I called the company due to concern.  I spoke to the same agent I had previously and as always she was helpful and apologized that the driver had not contacted us.  I was given our drivers phone number and called him right away he said he would arrive on the 30th at 6:00pm to pick our stuff.  The driver also let me know that we had been on his schedule for pick up on the 29th and had disappeared from his schedule then  reappeared for the 30th at 6:00pm, he was concerned that he wasn’t going to have time due to his work day being too long.  I found 6:00pm to be a very strange to time to load our apartment and unprofessional.  Since most apartments do not allow moving after business hours.  After this call everything went downhill and the nightmare of this company began.  The next call was back to the main office where I no longer was given any clear answers.  I explained what the driver had told me and was then transferred to their dispatch department.  They told me it appeared the driver was behind due to his recent drop-off having issues.  I then again explained that we have to vacate out apartment on the 31st.  They told us to feel free to call the driver ourselves for updates.  We never spoke to the driver again.  For the next 4 days we got his voicemail and no response.  By the 30th we were panicking, we made multiple calls to the office and was told don’t worry the drive will be there on the 31st to pick up your things.  The 31st he never showed we called Oasis multiple times and was given so many different excuses I can’t even remember them all.  At one point when we called it was going to random voicemails, obviously ignoring our calls.  My husband finally called from his cellphone and some picked right up.  The last 3 calls we were told the driver wasn’t going to come and he would be there the next day, we told them we can’t stay in our apartment what are we supposed to do.  They told us we are sorry but there’s nothing we can do, that this wasn’t a normal situation for them.  What kind of an answer is that! One woman told us they weren’t coming and I started to cry and she said” Now I see why I was told to make this call.”  She had no idea what the situation was and even told me she was just told to call me and say they weren’t coming.  Words can’t not describe the anger and fear we felt.  We had nowhere to go and a house full of boxes.  Thank goodness our landlord let us sleep in our apartment under the condition we had to be our early August 1st.  They had new tenants moving in August 2nd and need to fix the place up.  My husband then called Oasis back and told them fine come August 1st however it has to be early in the morning.  They of course said sure thing he will be there by 9:00 am, once again we tried the driver’s cell phone and straight to voicemail.  The morning of the 31st around 9:30 no one called and no one showed up.  We were forced to get the last U-Haul in the area and rent a storage unit.  At 11:00am my husband called and cancelled the Oasis movers.  Sadly they actually sounded relived.   The best part is a 1:00 the driver called to confirm we had cancelled.  Why hadn’t he every responded to us prior, hmmm makes me wonder.    The added expenses were not cheap and the stress can’t even be described.  We had to leave our belongings in Seattle for 6 months before we were able to hire the best moving company Mayflower.  The best part is after this awful experience I contacted Oasis for a refund on my deposit, since they never did their job and was told they don’t give refunds.  However she would ask her manger if we could get a refund given the situation.  Once I heard back from her via email (which I have) she told me they would issue a 50% refund.  We said fine just to have this nightmare behind us.  To this day we never received that refund.     My advice is to never ever us this company.  It felt like a complete SCAM!!  I have never been lied to or treated so absolutely poorly by a company.  .

Poor communication.

Set up our long distance move date for Aug 30, 2016. Ok with next day but they missed that too. The foreman (hispanic) gave me several different times and then lied about it. Driver actually came on the 3rd day, alone and spent 6 hours wrapping and loading. Julio was fabulous. After complaining to the office about several issues ,(charged for tape twice) delivery went much smoother. The actual workers were great but communication needs improvement overall. Will not use them again.

Worst Customer Service!

Paid for the entire move up front despite Oasis asking for half on pickup and half on delivery. Pickup occurred on 7.25 .. it is now 8.16 and I am STILL waiting for my things to arrive. It has been 4 weeks since pickup and 2 weeks past the 10 business day time frame I was given. I have called on several occasions inquiring when my shipment will arrive and no seems to know. Last week I received an email (prompted by my many phone calls) stating that delivery would take place between last Tuesday (8.9) and Saturday (8.20). This week they tell me the same thing.. "They'll be shipped between this Tuesday and Saturday". Each person I have spoken to has been rude and disrespectful, each worst then the last. Never again!!

Their new tactic is to threaten that they can take up to 30 days to deliver my items. I have searched through all the emails and documents I have .. no where is this listed in my documentation.

Save yourself the hassle, DO NOT do business with this company. They will take your money and run. You may never see your belongings again.

Oasis moving and storage is doing fraud.

Hi Team, This is in regards of fraud being done by Oasis Moving and Storage (2915 Coleman St, North Las Vegas, NV 89032).
Issue Description:- I have moved from Phoenix, AZ to Des Plaines, IL because of my job change. I was waiting from last 2 month to get my items delivered.
They were not answering when they are going to deliver. My order number is 380882 for the movement of household items.
Its been almost 50 days they did the pick up. But still they haven't delivered it me.
Whenever I was talking to them they were just saying we are working and we don't have any specific time frame when we are going to deliver.
I did talked to their delivery manager and customer services but nothing is working all are saying we don't know when it is going to be delivered.
Every time they keep saying next week we will load it to truck but next week never came.
On 08/02 they told me that your items has been loaded and will get delivered by 5-6 days and later on 08/04 they told me that its not loaded yet and they will inform me once it will be loaded.
I am finding this company is doing fraud and fake things.
After several follow up I didn't received any update. On 08/09, I gave them the options that if it is not possible by you then you can send it through other movers in your circle or at-least send the essential item which are boxed and bags through FedEx/UPS/USPS and later you in a week you can send sofa, chair and matteress, this will atleast give something to live my life in somewhat normal way.
On the next day they told sending through is costing more for them and cannot make profit for this move.
After that I keep requesting them and asked them that I will file a complaint and I filed the complain with BBB. Later on 07/12 they are saying that the items are stolen/lost from the storage and they don't have any thing to track how it happened.

Why didn't they informed me earlier if the items were stolen/lost? Why all of sudden after when I filed complaint then only it went missing, why from last 2 months they were saying it will be delivered next week and we are working on your request?
How come items can be stolen/lost from the storage, it should be done by their workers only and why there is no video recording and guard was available at the storage.
How all of sudden items went missing if they tried loading it on 08/04 and keep saying it will be loaded next week.
I think they are doing fraud because they are not making good profit for it. So they are saying it lost/stolen and can sell the items outside and have more money than giving through claims as they knew that I didn't purchased additional insurance.
Why they didn't filed any report if items stolen/lost from storage?
I don't think in a company this type of things can happen where it has camera security and guards available to protect the storage.
If somebody is not taking additional insurance then for those order they can easily say that items are stolen/lost and they know items worth is much more than what they will reimburse in case insurance is not purchased.
So in my view just to make more profit they are creating fraud.

I am totally frustrated by chasing them to get my items delivered but no where I am seeing any hope.
I cannot explain my frustration and mental harassment I am suffering from their services, behavior, answers and not having my belongings with me.
I tried all my ways to have some solution but not seeing any hope.

The items contains 8 medium boxes, 2 large boxes, 3 suit cases,1 mattress, 1 TV, 2 small cases. These many items cannot be stolen/lost from storage without any notice. It did contained my valuable items and copy of personal documents for me and my family.

I did contacted to the storage representative and they are not aware of any such incidents and no one reported such issues of broken storage or lost items. So I want to get it investigated.

Long-distance move from Arizona to Tennessee

Moving Services.

Worked with a branch of Oasis moving company in Arizona and then in Tennessee. Honestly I found all of their employees to be barely professional and less than competent. Contrary to claims on their website, their moving trucks were old and clearly second hand. The truck that dropped off my things was so old the driver could barely get the latch open to open the door because it was so bent and rusted. Literally the driver kicked the latch until it opened. The whole scene seemed like something out of a cartoon. Also contrary to their website's claims their movers hardly seemed very careful. They destroyed five large items I had simply because of the way they were packed and loaded onto the truck including an entire bookcase. In general their movers could barely speak English and certainly the one I worked with in TN gave almost no regard to my concerns or things. He clearly just wanted to get my stuff off his truck and go though I can't say I blame him that much since he was by himself. I have never heard of a moving company only sending one person to unload things but it happened with Oasis. Suffice to say don't use this company. Their website is a lie. Their family first values are a lie and if they are not then they are not being imparted to their employees at all. Frankly the whole thing is a mess and I implore you to go find another moving company because these folks are simply a waist of your time and money.

Long-distance move from Reno, NV to Oak Harbor, WA

Oasis Moving and storage.

Do not use this company, or their alternate named company (United Moving and Storage). They don't take any care to avoid damaging your items when loading and hire goons off the street to unload. They are not honest about their charges and wait until your furniture is hostage on their truck or in their warehouse to tell you what the true cost will be. They destroyed an heirloom desk by trying to shove it through a doorway on muscle power rather than rotate it on its side to fit. Many of the boxes were crushed, most of the plastic bins were crushed. One of the wardrobe boxes was delivered upside down. Please explain how someone could think a wardrobe box could hold hanging clothes when it is upside down. It just is not possible to be this bad accidentally, it requires effort to mess this many things up. And the telephone customer service was condescending and rude. The worst moving experience ever.

Long-distance move from California to Pennsylvania

Rip off merchants!

Positively the WORST experience of my life!
I moved my entire home from the UK to California with no issues whatsoever - but the company I used was not Oasis Moving and Storage.
When I moved from California to Pennsylvania I did use this company and what a nightmare it was.
They turned up to pack the stuff and immediately denied the original quote, instead changing to a non-binding estimate that was a thousand pounds (in weight) more than the original quote.
When they got my stuff back to the hub they weighed it and decided that my 5,000 Lbs of stuff actually weighed 6,400 Lbs - and attempted to bill me on that number (quite against the law incidentally).
I insisted on a back weigh when the truck arrived at my new home, and lo and behold they had 5,200 Lbs of belongings.
As a result I paid an extra $1000 dollars for belongings to be transported that they either lost or had fraudulently billed for. Furthermore a lot of my personal belongings were badly damaged in the move.
Finally - and this is the best bit - they tie you up for years trying to resolve you issues directly with the company (you never seem to get the same person or story twice) so when you do finally lose you patience and attempt to sue, there is a clause that says you can only do that in the state of Nevada.
Do not go near these rip off artists!

Long-distance move from Montana to Wisconsin

Do Not Hire Them.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.  They were the subcontractor's from another company and they do not care about the customers.  The other company was paid and they held my furniture hostage until they were paid AGAIN.  I requested my things and over 30 days later they still have not gotten me my things.  My things were finally delivered and because the other company had not paid this subcontractor, the subcontractor refused to deliver my things and rode away with them.  I had to call the police. They also charge you for things that they should not.

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Lakewood, NJ

You would be hard pressed to find a worse mover.

Simply put, these people are dishonest, lying, sleazy crooks. Horrible packing, major damage, and they overcharged us about $8000. They lied about the cubic footage they loaded (it was a large cross-country move) on 3 separate pick-up truckloads (they lied about the capacity of the pick-up trucks), but when it arrived on one large truck, it magically shrank by 2100 cu ft.

To add even more insult, the driver had a dispute with the unloading crew, and they left early, leaving us with a complete mess, and broken stuff and miscellaneous parts strewn over the front lawn.

Trying to resolve this with them was an exercise in futility. They just keep lying. We have filed Federal and State complaints (NV will not get involved in an interstate move). Our only recourse now is to sue, which we are still considering.

They should be out of business, and in prison. Use them at your peril, and don't confuse them with other movers with similar names that have good reviews. These people are the absolute worst of the worst.

They WILL give you the lowest quote, though, and make it tempting. PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THE SCAM!

Also, if you have been scammed by these sleazeballs, please file a Federal complaint. If they receive enough of them, they will investigate and take action.
