I was told multiple times, verbally and in writing, that my items would be delivered within 5-6 days from pickup. They were nearly 4 weeks late, multiple delivery dates passed, many items arrived damaged, boxes crushed, and missing furniture. Jennifer, the logistics person, would ignore my calls, tell me delivery dates that had already passed, change delivery dates, and refused to tell me whether my items were in storage or in transit. The mover (one guy) they hired locally was the slowest person ever. My boxes arrived crushed, re-wrapped, covered in boot prints, and a bookshelf is missing. They disassembled the beds and put all the screws into a general holder, and then did NOT reassemble the beds per contract. They increased the price at pickup AFTER they loaded the truck, asked me to sign AFTER loading the truck (both violations), and only then said they weren't going directly to my new state but to a hub - and still insisted it would arrive in 6 days (it did not). The owners and managers refused to call me, refused to address the situation, and then argued against giving a discount EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE LATE, and this was all before I found many items broken and crushed. I now have to file multiple claims with their insurance, multiple violations with State and Fed transportation boards. Entirely unprofessional, misrepresented multiple things, and damaged my items. Do not use them.

Great movers and very impressive customers service. They were awake and packed my items with care. We've moved a lot in the last 5 years but we had terrible experiences with movers, so we were very worried but this company was really ensured that everything went smoothly. On the moving day. They worked so hard to wrap and unwrap everything carefully, we didn't have a single thing. They were able to move our big and heavy things out through the balcony, without any scratches.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2330

They lied about everything related to our move, from when they would arrive for pickup to when they would drop everything off. Yes, they legally met their obligations, but the lies weren't necessary.

For example, I was told on Wednesday that our stuff wasn't even on the truck and wouldn't leave until the upcoming Sunday. Then they showed up on Saturday without warning and were pissed no one was there. And it took me 3 days to get them to 'confirm' that our stuff would be coming down starting on Sunday and that they would tell me on Monday when to expect shipment. They obviously knew our stuff was already in transit, so why lie?

Per federal law, when they couldn't get their truck into the apartment complex, we should have only had to pay 15% of their $515 charge, but they said absolutely not and said they would simply drive away or, worse, dump our stuff and leave. Customer service??? I think not.

Everything showed up damaged.

Do Not USE this company.

I recently used Northern Elite Van Lines for my long-distance move from a 5-bedroom home, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience! From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, honesty, and care.

My sales rep Clark was incredible—he took the time to explain every detail of the process, answered all my questions patiently, and made me feel completely at ease. He was transparent about pricing, timelines, and what to expect, and everything went exactly as planned.

The movers were punctual, careful with our furniture and boxes, and extremely efficient. They wrapped and protected everything with care, especially the fragile and oversized items. The delivery was right on time, and not a single item was damaged.

Moving a 5-bedroom home is no small task, but Northern Elite Van Lines made it feel easy and stress-free. I would absolutely use them again and recommend Clark to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy moving company.

I don’t normally write reviews, but after the incredible experience I had with Northern Elite Van Lines, and especially with my sales rep Sam, I felt compelled to share. Moving a 5-bedroom home across state lines is no small job, and like most people, I was stressed out, overwhelmed, and honestly didn’t know where to start. That all changed the minute I spoke with Sam.

From our very first conversation, Sam was honest, knowledgeable, and extremely patient. He didn’t rush me, didn’t give me a hard sales pitch instead, he took the time to actually listen to what I needed, explain the process clearly, and walk me through every single detail. He gave me a realistic timeline, broke down all the costs with complete transparency, and even shared tips on how to prep my home efficiently before moving day. I’ve dealt with other companies before that made empty promises or hit me with surprise charges — this was nothing like that.

Sam kept in touch the entire time from booking, to pick-up, to delivery and was available whenever I had questions (even after hours). I never once felt like I was just another “job” to him. He truly cared about making sure my move went smoothly, and that level of customer service is rare these days.

When moving day came, the crew arrived on time and ready to work. They were professional, respectful, and handled everything like pros. They carefully wrapped and packed each piece of furniture, including my antiques, large sectional, and expensive gym equipment. Not one item was scratched or broken. They worked tirelessly and even asked me multiple times if there was anything else they could help with before leaving.

Delivery was just as seamless. They communicated ahead of time, showed up when they said they would, and unloaded everything with the same care and attention. We have moved many times in the last three years. They has delivered by far the great service I've ever seen. They worked so fast and they were all so nice. Everything was perfect where I needed it. They even moved stuff around when I changed our mind about how I wanted it set up. Throughout the whole was great. They handled our furniture and belongings with the extreme care and attention to detail. Their method of protecting our items was truly impressive. Highly recommended.

A great moving company. The team arrived on time and They packed my items quickly and efficiently. They wrapped some things in plastic to prevent damages. They were wonderful and it was absolutely beneficial the time and money. Wonderful business to work with, and the small problems were taken care of quickly. They moved things a few times in our master bedroom to make things perfect. Great customer service. We do not know where they got such a nice guys. Highly recommended.

They were great and responsive team starting from the first call all the way through the move. The whole staff was hardworking and efficient. They moved our objects with care and attention to detail. Their pricing was good and reasonable compared to other places. These movers were wonderful, Fast, professional, very friendly. This team made moving so much peaceful. They were amazing. Extremely experienced and moved quickly. They did a great job at wrapping, protecting packing, and moving the items out of old place and into my new place. They unwrapped and rebuild items, got everything located in the correct rooms and made sure to clean up after themselves ensuring everything went smoothly. Great job team. I've recommended them to everyone of our network because of their good service. We will always use this company for our moving require.

Conversation was great, retaining was idiot-proof, specifically if you are prepared with the accumulation. Once the deposit is pick up, they will send a testament. You will also receive a commemorative a day prior to the move. We used a three man service for a 3 bed 2 bath single family home. Three crew turned up on time and ready to go. They packed evacuated items and managed all the items with care. Preparatory to girding and packing, if they watched any marks or screech, they made you conscious of it to show that they did not tinkle your furniture. Once the very big truck was full to the max, they will leave and meet you at your new location.

The team reached on time and carried it getting everything arranged. They wrapped objects, took extra care with delicate pieces, and made sure to ask us query as they loaded whenever they needed to. They were crucial, forward-thinking, and expert in their planning of space. The team was prompt, never stopped, and lifted furniture that would have taken a small uplift. They were careful coming in and out of rooms and I didn't see any scrapes when we did a walk through. Very professional team.

This a horrible company to use. The salesman Chris is a smooth talker and tries to persuade you his company is good by referring you to the DOT website and the amount of miles his company trucks have logged. This is just a ploy as they use subcontractors to move your belongings.

Chris also told me that my household belongings would be picked up in a company truck with their name on it. He never mentioned that Northern elite vans was doing business as Wrap and Tag who to my understanding subcontract out all of their shipping of individual’s household belongings. He also lied about the amount of time his company would store my belongings. This lead to a dispute at the pickup location after the truck was loaded. The driver provided me with a predetermined cost for the storage before the truck was even loaded based on the 1300 ft.³. How would they have known the amount of belongings until after the truck was loaded.

The company was to give me a couple days notice as to when they were going to arrive to pick up my belongings. Instead the owner called me at the last minute around 3:30 PM and ask if their driver could come by if they were there in an hour and pick up my belongings. I greed but it was a mistake. They arrived around 7:30 pm that same evening and was there for several hours.

The truck was partially for when they arrived. When they loaded the truck they stack it in a manner where they started out low and raised the load so when they got to the end of the trailer the trailer looked like it was packed fullI. They stretch out the load to fill the remainder of the truck and claimed that my belongings they picked up was equaled to 1300 ft.³ of household belongings. NOT TRUE.

I had them delivered to an extra storage space in Florida which was a 10 x 15 x 8‘ tall storage bin which is equivalent to 1200 ft.³ The storage bin was barely half full which means that there was only approximately 600 to 700 ft.³ of household goods that they shipped. NOT 1300 ft.³ as they claimed at the pick up point.

When I tried to contact the shipping company once my belongings were unloaded they refused to take my call until I persuaded the truck driver (a subcontractor) to contacted the shipping company. This was very difficult to do as he didn’t want to get involved since he was a middleman. I was overcharged by $2800. It took 2 hours of augmenting with the moving company once the driver got the moving company on the phone to get back $1000. This was still short of the $2,800 I was overcharged. This was after the driver measured the space and sent pictures of how empty the storage bin/space was. I’m working on disputing the funds I have on my credit card in hopes to recouping my deposit monies to help offset the amount I was over charged. I’ll still be overcharged by $680 if I get back my deposit monies.

The moving company (Northern Elite Van) uses subcontractors to pick up and deliver my household belongings.This leaves the customers in a bad situation as they are dealing with a subcontractor not the actual shipper. This shipper will do there very best to avoid you once you have paid the final payment.

NorthernElite Van has in their contract that you must pay cash or money order prior to being able to have your household belongings unloaded.

They do this because they are stealing from you and you have no recourse once you hand the cash to the driver unless you do as I did and get the driver to get involved in resolve the problem. I suggest even though they charge you an additional 5% that you should pay as much on your credit card as possible which will allow you some leeway to disputing any claims you have of being overcharged. The only way to verify the amount of household belongings being shipped is to put in in a confined space so it can be measured. I also suggest that you stack your belongings in the space to get an accurate understanding of the amount of belongings shipped.

Please let all of your friends and neighbors know about this company through social media and any other method you can to avoid this company Northern elite vans DBA as (Wrap and Tag) from taking advantage of any more people who need to move.

MOVING IS VERY STRESSFUL AND NORTHERN ELITE VAN IS AWARE OF THIS AND TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE CUSTOMER.

Otherwise you will mostly likely be taken advantage of and overcharged as they did to me.

They damaged some of my belongings and I am going to have to dispute this with them on top of the $2800 that they have overcharged me.

I hope this message reaches as many people as possible so that this company is forced to change their means methods of operation or are ran out of business as they are nothing but crooks based on my experience and l’m going to say they more than likely take a vantage of every individual who’s household belongings they move.

I was so confident that I invested hard earned money to hire the best moving company I could find. After doing a lot of research and listening to Chris Hall, Senior Moving Consultant sell me on why their moving service is the best I paid my deposit. Unfortunately I was unaware of mymovingreviews.com website until after I saw the damage after delivery. The only good thing I can say-the guys who moved my belongings were professional on both picking up and dropping off. What happened in between baffles me! My unpacking was a nightmare because well packed, valuable items were damaged. Double boxed and bubble wrap did not save my fine crystal. Do they use a wobbly conveyer belt when unloading customers belongings in the warehouse? My loaded two drawer file cabinet was completely disheveled. A castor is missing from a piece of furniture, causing me to spend money on a new set. What gives when you spend several thousand dollars for professionals? Seriously do your research and DO NOT HIRE NORTHERN ELITE VAN LINES!

Absolutley awful moving company. Here's the short version.

1. Charged us 2k more than contracted for.

2. Lied about when they would deliver

3. Kept calling and putting us off for 1 weeks before delivering.

4. Did not "stage: our new home when delivered. Simply dropped everything in the front room and left. Did not assemble anything or complete inventory.

5. LOST a third of our belongings.

6. Driver told us it would be ANOTHER 2K to do invenotry or put boxes in correct room

7. Compnay would not deliver our "found" belongings because we are "too out of the way".

8. Contacted by company saying that we needed to meet the driver 2 hours away to take possession of our belongings becasue we are too out of the way for them to deliver again. And that if we did not, then we would not get our things back. Enter lawyer!

9.. 2 weeks later and a lawyer hired, they finally "Delivered" our belongings TAPED TO THE BACK OF A CAB OF AN 18 Wheeler. YES You read that right it was OUTSIDE in the rain and taped to the back of a Cab. NOT IN A TRUCK! see pictures.

9. LOST our son's bed. And now will not longer communicate with us to refund any more that they agreed on.

10. LAWYERS are now invloved because they keep.

SUmmary. 8300 dollars later, we have a Bed that was dragged through the mud, An antique hutch broken, a Lost bed, 2 broken bookcases, and a company that will not communicate because they are shady as heck. So RUN!! Far away and DO NOT use this compnay.

The NORTHERN ELITE VAN LINES company business model is to verbally gather all the information they feel is necessary and prepare a contract, which the customer is then requested to electronically sign. Their pricing is unit priced $7/cubic. During a preliminary call I explained the furniture and belongings were for several months temporarily stored in two (2) 8 ft. x 10 ft. x 10 ft. climate controlled storage units (1,600 cubic feet). Within a few days following this brief telephone call the marketing representative emailed me a single page contract with terms and conditions for my e-signature. I secured the contract with a credit card down payment of $1,568, leaving a contractual balance of $4,704. On November 30, 2021, I was called by the moving crew foreman while in South Dakota. After carefully listening to the foreman speak I came to the realization the volume of goods assigned to the contract (800 cubic ft.) was woefully underestimated. I reluctantly agreed to the higher cost being “over a barrel” which fits their business plan to a “T”. On December 1, I once again spoke with the same customer service representative I had spoken to on November 29th. I expressed my dissatisfaction about the inexcusable, substantial increase in contract costs because of a prolific underestimation made by the marketing professional (and admittedly signed off upon by me, the customer) who had firsthand knowledge of the volume of goods based upon the volume in the two storage units. The company did not call or communicate with me in any fashion for another fifteen days despite my obvious dissatisfaction over the completely avoidable increases. On December 8th, I took the burden upon myself to mail (next day priority) them my personal check in the amount $4,234 based upon anecdotal information provided by the pickup crew foreman. The check posted on December 14th, the third business day following their receipt. Lacking communication by the company I booked a flight to Rapid City South Dakota arrival due at 9:42 am Friday, December 17th. I did not feel the need to call and remind them that under contract they had until December 21 to make the delivery. During the late evening of Wednesday, December 15, I received three consecutive telephone calls; 8:07 pm, 8:07 pm and 8:08 pm. There were no message(s) left, just three vacuous calls. Thursday morning I was again called, this time from a different telephone number (a 551 area code in Bayonne NJ) by “the moving crew”. The crew was in Minneapolis and would be making delivery to the South Dakota residence that same day. I explained my circumstances to the crew member who told me he would need to contact Bayonne for further instructions. When Bayonne called me, it was the same defensive, attitude-challenged customer service representative I had had the displeasure of speaking with on prior occasions. She stated matter-of-factly the company had made their decision to deliver my goods on the 16th and there was nothing that I could do about that! This time I held ground, indicating that it was impossible for me to be there before about 10 am the following day. Her impassionate reply was that company policy is to call the customer within 24 hours of delivery; the travel distance involved was irrelevant. My “red-eye” flight leaving out of Hartford on December 17th arriving in Rapid City at 9:42 am MST was significantly delayed. I did not reach the house until 6:30 pm local MST on Friday, December 17th. Also on this day, during my transit, there were numerous, tense telephone calls from the same unfriendly customer service representative and someone identifying himself as the “Owner”. Obviously they were panicking; they needed to insure payment to their subcontracted crew upon delivery!! The crew foreman had the audacity to ask my 83 year old neighbor if there would be a gratuity offered the crew. The carnage they left behind in the house would suggest more a need for jail time than a gratuity; my furniture and other belongings were literally dumped in the front room of the house. I have numerous photographs of the horror I witnessed when I arrived. At least four articles of broken furniture, beds and small tables not reassembled per contract and smashed boxes resulting in broken glass and ceramic goods. There was a sixty (60%) percent increase in total cost to the customer based on a 79% increase in the volume of goods. This was completely avoidable if the company had submitted a “good faith bid” based upon the detailed information provided to them. This company called me less than 24 hours before their planned delivery despite the distance. Articles of furniture, glass and ceramic goods were left broken or shattered. The crew left me with their “dirty dishes” piled on top of boxes several feet from the front door as if to “rub insult into injury”. In a perfect world this company would have its DOT permit revoked or suspended depending further investigations.
