Long-distance move from Reno, NV to Grants Pass, OR

Robbed my Mother.

This company was a scam from the get go! My mother who was moving from Reno, NV to Grants Pass, OR was charged double for what she was quoted, and even worse she was charged even more when they finally arrived with her stuff almost a month later. Over half of her stuff was wet, broken, or missing. Thankfully another customer who got a box with our family stuff in it tracked us down and gave the box back. My mom is still trying to track her stuff down over a year later. Moving Pros. does not care what happens to your stuff once it’s in the truck. Good luck trying to talk to anyone on the phone they do not care either. Hopefully someone with financial backing can get a class action law suit going soon!

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Florida

A job well done.

I recently used Moving Pros to move from Newy Jersey to Florida. Every team member exceeded my expectations. I couldn't believe how many differnt companies called me once I put my information online to request a quote. I was highly stressed.. so I selected Moving Pro's based i=on my gut instinct. I felt that Matt (my sales representative) was more thorough than anybody else Ispoke with. The estimate was a bit higher than others, but I was assured that I had I was given a firm bid. Fortunately Matt over estimated a bit. So when the movers arrived my price went down 120$ because they didn't use all the materials that I was originally quoted. Marvin and the guys worked very hard. They were in and out within 2 hours. I asked them to hold my stuff for two weeks while I waited in Fort Lauderdale for my lease to start on Dec 1st. They told me it could take up to 7 days, but my stuff already arrived TODAY. The day I moved in. It couldn't have been better timing. I'm so happy that I don't have to sleep in my new place without furniture even one night. Awesome job guys. Definitely recommend.

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Florida

Scammed, overcharged, broken furniture :(.

Please don't fall for the trap I fell for. They are charming and approachable so I went with their company. The day of the move when I had no back-up option, they said I have to pay DOUBLE the agreed upon price. Then the movers bullied us into tipping a lot otherwise "there are more fees we could charge". But what's worse is when the furniture arrived to a storage facility I checked later, my beautiful dining table was broken (3 out of 4 legs broken completely off), my side table's door was broken and the top of it broken off, the other side table is missing a leg, one of the dining chair's legs was broken off, broken side table, squished lamps destroying the lamp shades. In addition, there were numerous scratches, chipped off edges, etc. I had to throw away most of my furniture. I complained but they did not care or help, just made excuses. I wish I was exaggerating but have more pictures upon request.

Long-distance move from New York to Massachusetts

My Mover To Move.

We don't do this a whole lot. This was actually our first interstate move. We were pretty nervous that things might not end well but I suppose we’re just naturally nervous about everything. Moving pros but our nerves at ease. They promised us “a complete point a to point b move”. And they sure delivered on that promise. The crew who came to our house was amazing. They stacked everything so precisely. We just arrived our goods 3 days ago and I wanted to wait to finish unpacking before writing a review.

These movers are honest.

Sammy at moving pros was the BEST! He warned us about the other companies out there and showed us why their company was the best. If I didn't know any better id say Sammy was the owner, that how much faith he has in his company. He was always there to answer questions and his movers were top notch. The last company I moved with sent guys that didn't even speak any English. I had no idea what the were saying. Sammy’s guys were great!

Long-distance move from San Francisco, CA to Philadelphia, PA

They are just dispatchers and lie to you that they're a full service.

Lies, lies, lies. Don’t believe what they sell you. You are going to pay $5.25 per cf and they are still going to dispatch your stuff to a larger truck just like all the other companies that charge $4.3/cf do.

I hired a company to move my stuff from San Francisco to Philadelphia, but had to cancel it because they wouldn’t be able to deliver on a smaller truck and to schedule the delivery ahead of time. Those were requirements of my new building and there was no way to work around them. So I called many different companies and Moving Pros was the only company that promised me to schedule pick up and delivery, and also promised to take care of all my furniture. I asked the sales rep if I had to continue disassembling my cabinets and he said I should stop and let the movers do the job, or else Moving Pros Inc would have to hire me as a mover.

Hired moving pros Inc for 2 main resons: first, because the sales rep guaranteed that I would be able to schedule the drop off in advance with a smaller truck, not a 53’, which is a requirement of my new apartment complex. Second I was told on the phone by the sales rep Larry that they would disassemble all my furniture, and I asked specifically about all cabinets and other pieces of furniture - he guaranteed that they would do the job and I shouldn’t worry about doing it myself.

Long story:
A truck driver calls me saying that he’s going to be here next morning with a 18-wheeler truck. I told him that it was impossible to steer a big truck here and that I needed a schedule in advance, just what I contacted Moving Pros for. I had previously hired a company caller Blue Sky Van Lines, which told me that they couldn’t deliver with a small truck and they also couldn’t schedule delivery, so I cancelled them and hired Moving Pros because of what Larry, a sales rep, told me.

Feels like he just told me what I wanted to hear in order to get me to sign the contract!

During the pick up they only disassembled the bed and the couch. All the cabinets and bed drawers were taken as they were, which just DOUBLED the final price. One of the movers, a Jordanian guy who said he had just moved to the US a few weeks ago, could barely explain to me how the process would work.

For the pick up, they called me on May 10 to tell me that the movers would be at my place on May 11 between the 3 and 6 PM. I cancelled all my daily activities to wait for them, and around 3 PM one of the movers called me to tell me that they would arrive around 5PM.
5:30PM I called them back and he said it would take them about 1:30 hours more, so they would be there at 7PM. I asked them if they could go the next day at 6AM because my building wouldn’t allow them to move things out after 7PM, they confirmed availability for next morning 6AM.
6:30 AM next day I called them to ask where they were and the mover told me they had a mechanical issue with the truck and he had no estimate to give me, so I called their help desk to reschedule and they told me they could be at my place by 9AM
10:00AM I call them and ask where they are, they were just arriving and that’s when the move began.

Both the 2 movers were very nice people, tagged all the boxes and started carrying them downstairs. One of them was a illegal worker though.

For my surprise they didn’t have all the tools needed to disassemble the furniture, so I had to run around the block to find a alley wrench for my sofa.

They took all my boxes and I was inside the bedroom with my wife and kid so I wasn’t actually supervising them. For my surprise, when the final price came it was 2x higher than the initial price, and when I asked why one of the movers told me that it was because of the drawers and cabinets, WHICH I WAS ENCOURAGED BY THEIR SALES REP NOT TO DISASSEMBLE because the movers were going to do that. Also, they charged me $75 for ‘long distance’ and $75 for ‘elevator use’, WHICH I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE SALES REP AND HEARD FROM HIM THAT THEY DON’T CHARGE THAT.

Not done yet - my furniture arrived 21 days later. 95% of it went straight to the trash. My furniture was either broken or soaked and could not be reassembled. Clothes and shoes were molded, my wife’s purses were full of mold and turned into garbage. My newborn son’s gifts including books and toys were destroyed. Wife’s sewing machine was broken. TV was soaked. Glasses came all broken - ALL OF THEM, not a single one left. Plates chipped. Tools missing. Sofa soaked and stinky, with missing legs.

I am very disappointed and sick of being sold on what I ask for just so they can lock me in and charge me whatever they want once all my stuff is already gone into the truck.

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Baltimore, MD

They are con artists.

I recently moved from NYC and they smooth talked me into using their services. Not only did they charge double, but they destroyed by flat screen TV. When I called to complain they were unapologetic and said maybe it was broken from before. Seriously?!?! I tried filing a claim but after many hours and back and forth over weeks I just gave up.

They are scam artists. Watch out!!

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Port St. Lucie, FL

2 months still no resolution not even a promise or call.

What a disaster!! I have never been more disappointed in a company in my life. I used this company to move me to Florida. When I purchased my space I upped it to make sure that when they got here I wasn't part of the horror stories where they say you need more space and now since it's last minute you have no choice but to pay the additional amount. I paid the money and waited for my furniture. Two weeks later my furniture shows up I am missing boxes and have damage on almost every single item that was shipped. Not to mention while bringing my bed down the stairs from the pick up location they ripped the packaging off of my bed by accident. I was told once they got it on the truck they would repackage it. No when my bed got here they threw it on my dirty driveway. From the move my bed was completely filthy and I would never sleep on it. Everyone of my items is damaged. Maybe I wouldn't be mad if it was not brand-new. Not to mention the guy in my house told me just get the basic insurance we are carriers we protect and take care of your belongings. Now I will get $.60 a pound for all of my belongings by weight. Do not I repeat do not use this company. I can see if one of my items were damaged accidents happen. But everything but one item was damaged on its way to me. It was a disaster my stuff looks like it was in a car accident. All my boxes were broken. Everything is filthy and that is the stuff that gets here. ALSO if anybody is missing what looks like expensive artwork they offered it to me and asked me if it was mine. I am honest and said no but I'm sure many people would have taken it. Not to mention while placing the claim. They make it so hard that you want to give up. Everything is through a computer website and there are no people to speak to. The website keeps deleting all of your items that are damaged or lost so you can spend three hours placing a claim. This pick up was on JUNE 24th Today is August 23rd and still no talks of resolutions they say we must wait for the claim that can take up to 120 days but yet still not a call from anyone and I was promised managers would call me back and work on it. NOTHING till date to let me know how this will be fixed. I will keep you all posted how this works out and you can expect to see reviews on every platform I can possibly think of. I work in retention management so I can I sure you it will be on every platform. I know every website there is to report this nonsense. These reviews here must be fake because the person who brought my stuff looked at me like this was all normal. THE LEAST THEY CAN DO IS GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK BEING AS THO ALL I GOT BACK WAS DAMAGED ITEMS AND I AM MISSING EXPENSIVE BELONGINGS. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY NOW TO REPLACE EVERYTHING.

Long-distance move from Plano, TX to Rensselaer, NY

Moving Pros is Worst - Stay Away.

WORST MOVE ever (Michael Edward Howard 646-849-3864) was the person who gave me estimate. Moved from Dallas to NY, I was 7 months pregnant under stress of move. I was given estimate of around $3K. Pick up date was 2 days before my flight. Movers did not show up on day they supposed to pick up, they called and said have some truck rental issues so they cannot come and will come next day. Fine - Movers came next day, before loading into truck they started saying estimate is going up, surprisingly it was more than double of initial estimate, no change in inventory for a small 1 bed apartment (we packed boxes & all stuff). Whole thing looked pre planned, these guys ask when is your flight on a friendly note & they come just a day before or same day of flight so you are under stress and have no time to deal with stuff & just agree to whatever amount they quote for. Person who gave us estimate & promised the $ won’t change has’nt come into contact from the day of move. Other person contact from that point onward, and says oh that guy is new he did not know how to quote, we are going to fire him for giving this wrong estimate. ALL THIS IS A SCRIPT THEY PLAY WITH EVERY CUSTOMER.
During drop off, guys were high school kids who can barely lift box. My husband did major work. Movers did not even had a tool box to assemble bed or table. My husband has assembled everything. Finally two boxes were missing, mattress’s have dirt stains, book cases came broken, bed frame had all scratches. Man this was a DISASTROUS MOVE. Tip I can give is there can be little trust for the movers who actually come home look at your stuff & give estimate. I did claim for damaged items with CSI and they settled the claim for $81 which is ridiculous & said if I accept the $ I have no right to write a review about the MOVING PROS, which sounded brutal. I have not taken settlement $ just to write this review.
PLZ STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOVING PROS COMPANY.
NEVER TRUST ESTIMATE GIVEN TO YOU ON PHONE.

Long-distance move from Granite Bay, CA to Manhattan, KS

Don't use this moving company.

Broker company, bad estimates given. Contracted packers out of Sacramento, horrible, no experience, damaged several of my items. Two deliveries for my furniture, boxes etc. 3 weeks apart. 2nd delivery had my mattresses so had nothing to sleep on for 3 weeks. Status not available unless you call. One excuse after the other. Filed claim, they never paid, they offered less than $300 for about $1500 worth if damage. Take out extra insurance if you still want to use this company.

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Saint Louis, MO

Overall horrible experience.

My husband and I moved from a 500 sq. ft. studio apartment in Manhattan, New York to St. Louis, Missouri. Our boxes were picked up on a Friday morning and shipment arrived the next week on Tuesday night. Prior to this move, we had not moved across multiple states so maybe our expectations were too high. You can be the judge. I hope this review is helpful to those of you who are in similar situations!

1. CON - Total cost more than doubled our original estimate

When we originally called to get a bid for the move, we listed out the type of furniture and amount of boxes over the phone. The sales guy quoted us around $1,700 for the move. Once the movers came and packed everything in the truck, the estimate came out to over $3,200 not including tip. It might have been a rookie mistake on our part, but I highly recommend you book a place that does in-person evaluations. And do not trust over the phone estimates. By the time we got the confirmation of the $3,200 total cost (we were told our stuff took up 700 cu. ft. of space), all our boxes and furniture were in their truck and it felt like there was nothing we could do but pay.

2. PRO - Movers showed up on time and were quick to pack everything up

The movers who came to our apartment were right on time, packed everything up within an hour and did a great job.

3. CON - Movers could not give us an estimate when the shipment would arrive

Once our truck left, we were told to contact the movers the next day for confirmation if our boxes were loaded onto a different, larger truck that will be driving to St. Louis. We contacted the movers the next day but no one could confirm for two days.

4. CON - When the movers arrived in our new location, they were 2 hours late

We were told our shipment would arrive later in the week, no one could provide us with an exact date. On Tuesday morning we randomly received a call from the truck driver. The truck driver said he could get to our place Tuesday night at 9pm. We told him we could wait until Wednesday morning but he insisted on delivering everything that night saying we were doing him a favor. Although this was really late, our new building approved the move time of 9pm. The truck driver did not arrive until after 10pm. At that point we had to apologize to the building and our new neighbors for moving furniture and boxes until close to midnight.

5. CON - Movers damaged the EXIT sign in our new building

The movers who came to our new building ran into the EXIT sign in our lobby area so the following day we had coordinate with Moving Pros, our building management and the insurance company to get the cost sorted out. Moving Pros ended up sending a check to our building for the cost of the damages but overall it's just annoying to have one more thing to deal with.

6. CON - Damages to two pieces of furniture

There was damage to our TV stand, night stand, and several glasses. The TV stand had a panel that fell off on the back and the night stand was in worse condition with damage on the bottom panel and inner shelving system. Again, we'll need to deal with the insurance company to get this all sorted out.

Long-distance move from Massachusetts to California

Awful service and possibly fake reviews.

The initial contact was great. Matt was super helpful and things seemed fine. That all changed once things were finalized. I had already moved so my family was taking care of meeting the movers. Not once was it mentioned to me that there would be paperwork to fill out so my family was thrown off when handed the paperwork. I later was informed that this is typical and everything that is agreed upon beforehand must be written the day. Makes sense, but added a level of anxiety that was unnecessary because I couldn't prep my family and they didn't know all the answers. It was worsened by this being on a Sunday when the office is closed. (The truck broke so it didn't make it on Saturday like it was supposed to). I later was told that the movers should've been able to reach a supervisor, even though it was a Sunday. That whole day was a mess. Matt was not very helpful when I called to discuss what had happened on that day either. In addition, something was written incorrectly on the paperwork during pickup so I wasn't sure of the timeframe for when my stuff would arrive. I understand why they can't tell me what day my stuff will arrive, but they should be able tell me what state the truck is in. The first time I asked what state, I was given an answer about being unable to tell me more than what was already listed as the timeframe for travel. That was through email. The second time I said something was through phone call. Matt seemed to understand I only wanted to know what state the truck was in. I never received an email or call back about what it. The third time I tried to find out was through email and I received the same ridiculous answer so I clarified again that I only wanted to know what state the truck was in. I finally got an answer, but it was wrong. I received a second email with the correction a couple hours later. Thankfully, my roommate was home because I was out of town the day my stuff arrived. The number of items were correct, but when I got home I found two boxes were not mine. I emailed as soon as I noticed. It's been three weeks and the boxes are still sitting in my place. So someone else somewhere is also upset. Or maybe they were never told that the boxes were found. This also means that I am missing two of my boxes. Matt was not helpful with contacting me about this either. He only sent an email saying that I needed to file a claim because my stuff wasn't found after I sent an email asking for an update more than a week after I originally let them know about the mistake.

I researched quite a bit before choosing a company and going through with this process. I couldn't find anything that concerned me about this company. When I came on to this site now to write this review, the top of the site had a warning that several of the reviews were from the same IP address. Wish that had shown up before I went through all of this.

Long-distance move from Pointblank, TX to Concord, NH

Terrible experience..

TL;DR - Moving Pros, Inc. is a bait-and-switch scam with absolutely dreadful and dishonest customer service. STAY AWAY.

My family and I moved from Texas to New Hampshire and decided to go with Moving Pros Inc. after fielding quotes from several different companies. Our salesman, Michael (who also goes by Ed) quoted me a price of $2549 for 600 cubic ft. Since this wasn't an in-person walk through I knew my total cost would rise but I was OK with that and I went ahead and booked for our backup date of July 1st, as my initial pickup date of June 30th had become unavailable. Michael also told me that while our contract stated 14-21 business days for delivery that their crews moved quickly and our belongings would be delivered in approximately 5-6 business days, regardless of the July 4th holiday.

On June 30th, I received a call from Tim who told me that my original date of July 1st had become unavailable and that I would have to be moved back to July 2nd. I told him that this wasn't possible as my schedule wouldn't allow me to wait in TX and Michael and I had already agreed on using the backup date. Tim told me that he had another job in the area that day and agreed to honor July 1st. He gave me a five-hour window in which the truck would arrive. I started to doubt my choice in movers at this point..

The crew arrived on the 1st (in an empty truck - other job?) and did their walk through of our belongings, which aside from large furniture were already packed. The number of boxes we had exceeded what Michael and I had discussed and our crew leader told me it would be an extra $600-700. Since I had anticipated this, I agreed and the crew began loading up. I will say that the three gentlemen who handled the loading were polite, professional and did their jobs well. Once the truck was loaded, I was told that the cost of my move had increased by $1900, not $600-700. I was furious but also on a schedule (that was made only because of the time frame I was given by Moving Pros) and the truck had already been loaded. This is the moment that I knew I was dealing with a bait and switch operation and that I had made a terrible mistake hiring this company.

Once we arrived in NH I called Moving Pros to try and determine where our shipment was located and when it might arrive. I was told after repeated calls to their receptionist that messages had been left with logistics and I should expect a callback within 24hrs. When the call didn't arrive, I called Michael (presumably my rep within the company) who seemed confused as to why I would be calling him about my issues. After lodging complaints about the amount of price increase and the company's lack of ability to ballpark when my belongings would arrive he had no answers for me, only reassurance that he would look into it and call me back. I never expected that call and have predictably not received it. I had at this point also yet to hear from the logistics dept. Later that day, I received a call from Ryan who is a supervisor. I repeated my complaints and he told me he'd spoken to logistics and that my shipment was scheduled to be delivered on the weekend of Saturday, July 8th. He also offered a $150 discount on the money I would owe at delivery. Yay. Whatever - I got a time frame.

On July 7th, I got another call. This time from Tommy in logistics. He was sincerely apologetic and told me that I had been given bad information. My belongings were NOT scheduled for delivery this weekend, they were scheduled to be shipped. He told me he would do everything he could to prioritize my shipment.

I've just finished a call with the shipping company who told me that my shipment was being loaded today, July 10th. When I told him that Moving Pros had informed me it was shipping this weekend, he told me that the warehouses are closed on weekends. Another lie from Moving Pros. I was told that my shipment would arrive sometime either late this week or this weekend and that no firm date could be given. I'm writing this review in hopes that not only will people avoid adding more stress to their lives with this company but that maybe someone who works at Moving Pros and has at least one honest bone in their body might contact me and try to resolve this situation to my satisfaction.

To sum up, my family's been moved for a week, we're still sleeping on air mattresses and I'm left hoping my new boss will give me enough leeway to handle this and still have gainful employment when it's all over.

Long-distance move from Massachusetts to New York

I am returning customer.

The reviews from previous customers are what ultimately won me over to use Moving Pros. I take everything from sales representatives with a grain of salt. They’re paid to talk themselves up. But when hundreds of customers spend time out of their day to go online and say they're a great company, I’ll surely trust that. Our move was quite the task. We had a two 10x15 storage unites completely full. Sammy quoted us assuming they were both full and gave us a price. I don't think ever used a company that the actual bill comes out to be less than the estimate. Moving pros delivered just that. My move ended up being only $5,400.00 rather than the Estimate at &5,550.00. I was happy to say the least!

Long-distance move from Connecticut to New York

Gave me a good price.

I contacted Matt at moving pros based on information I found on the internet. Matt asked me for some basic information on my move and asked for me to walk through the house and tell him what I was moving. At first I was a little hesitant but Matt assured me everything would be okay. After going through everything matt estimated a box count and gave me a total cubic footage for my move. He gave me a price and wasn't really pushy about me booking right then and there like the other guys were. He sent me some reviews and testimonials on his company and encouraged me to do my due diligence. After a couple days I decided to call him back and get everything scheduled. He was available for questions the entire time my items were in their possession too. I liked how he didn't push me around to different people. The movers themselves were splendid too. Very hard working.

Thanks moving pros.

Moving Pros Inc. got me an excellent service for an excellent price. They were very thorough from start to finish and didn't play games with us. We were promised the crew would arrive at 8am, they arrived at 756. They spent three hours loading everything and making sure it was secure. They then drove DIRECTLY to our new home and got everything prepped. We were completely moved and comfortable in our new home before the day’s end. Really cool. Thanks again moving pros.

Local move within New York

Good price.

If you've ever moved before you know how terrible it can be. We had a friend that used moving pros before and recommended we use them to move our storage unit. Being we knew the storage unit was 10x10 it was very easy for moving pros to give us a price without having to come and see everything. They price their jobs out based on volume so we knew what our max price would be. They gave us a “worst case scenario” estimate based on max volume of the unit. When everything ended up being loaded onto the truck our final price was much lower than the estimate cost. We just didn't have as much stuff in there as we remembered. Overall the guys were a pleasure to work with and we were happy with the price.

Long-distance move from New York to Connecticut

All items were delivered without damages.

I still believe in communication for making any dealings between a business and a client convenient. As a businessman, I have heavily invested in the same. I found the same when dealing with moving pros. That was indication enough that they cherish their clients and want the best for them. It all started with the support staff who gave the details about commercial relocation that the company was offering. I was then transferred to the coordinator who would oversee my move from start to finish. He was asking the right questions, and I did my best to give the right answers. all my items were delivered without any damages.

Moved from CA to South Dakota.

Talked really good, quote was great!! Told me my stuff would be at new address within 10 days of my expected delivery date. Lies, our stuff ( what they delivered) got here on the 21st day ( told me that they had up to 21 days to deliver). I bought all new boxes when I packed, they came broken, opened and retaped! Had items in boxes in zip lock bags in large boxes with clothes that were gone through, nothing in small boxes, nothing left in the zip lock bags. I feel so violated!! Personal items were stolen. Several items never made it. Several kitchen boxes never made it. Showed no real concern for my complaints about things gone through or missing items. Then it cost twice as the quote, kept telling me you know that your moving to the middle of nowhere South Dakota. Don't use them!!

Long-distance move from Nevada to Colorado

No Bad, Really Bad!!

Trusted Moving Pros to move me from Nevada to Colorado. Initial quote was low but doubled when they finished loading. Huge upcharge for packing supplies including no credit for supplies that I provided. Upon receipt of shipment we found that nearly every piece of furniture they moved had been damaged in some way and my Honda Goldwing Motorcycle had been dropped on it's side causing significant damage. They failed to share with me that they intended to move our entire shipment to Sacramento, CA - unload it to a warehouse and then reload it again when convenient for them - both unload & load where I couldn't possibly supervise. Had I been aware of this, I would have certainly purchased more insurance. Upon delivery was advised by the driver that they don't do re-assembly. After I pointed out to the driver that this was agreed upon with Moving Pros he made a VERY limited effort to re-assemble (about half an hour). Much of my unassembled belonging I assembled myself or filed a claim for as hardware was lost and I couldn't re-assemble. I communicated this and all issues to them and received no response. I filed a BBB complaint and they refused to answer the BBB complaint. It's no wonder that they are rated an F by the BBB.

Long-distance move from Connecticut to Tennessee

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Unresponsive, disorganized and way too cost.

My daughter and her boyfriend were planning their move to TN and called a few moving companies that quoted her $4000-$7000 to move their few belongings. Joe from Moving Pro made such a big deal about “I want your business! I’ll beat any other company’s price”! When confronted about the negative comments all over the internet, Joe, in an email stated that there are more positive reviews, you are just not seeing them. Then he stated that customers misjudge what they need moved or try to lo-ball the company to sneak more stuff onto the truck..$1889 was the quote for my daughter’s things. Moving day: movers were supposed to be at their house between 1-3pm. Multiple attempts were made to call and find out where they were and when they were coming. At 7:25 pm, the movers called to say they were 20 minutes away. We told them no, we must do the move tomorrow or forget it all (I so wish they had canceled!). So the movers showed up the next day, moved my daughter and bf’s belongings from their house then came to our house to get the remaining furniture. They showed up in a Budget rental truck claiming it was a shuttle that will bring the belongings to a warehouse then transferred to the larger truck with other household moving to the same state (a “piggyback move”), there were three guys, the main guy was very friendly. They did not use a computerized system to keep track of each item and I did not see any stickers. The receipt indicated: box, box, table, tv, box, king mattress (too thick so it took up more cubic feet), queen mattress, box spring..etc. I was very concerned because knowing the truckload was going to another location then onto another truck with other people’s stuff, how could everything be accounted for? Then the main guy presented the actual bill. $5500+! Um, where was the $1887? My husband was beside himself! He did yell at the guys because it seemed like the company was taking advantage of our daughter. They went on to state that the dimensions of some items were over the normal size - mattresses, dog cage, etc. So instead of taking up 300+ cubic feet, they were using much more. Basically blaming us for underestimating and trying to get a cheaper price. The original estimate is just an estimate. They suggested taking some items off the truck or we could unload completely. It was evening by the time they finished loading. Despite our protests and trying to call the main office, which was unresponsive, they wanted the full amount by check or cash. No credit card. Finally, knocked the price down a little but my daughter had to shell out over $2000 then we paid $1000. Upon delivery, my daughter had to pay $1200 BEFORE they movers would take their belongings from the truck. My daughter is missing five boxes in total, with all of their winter clothes, a bridesmaid dress that cannot be replaced and other things. She said that the movers just took stuff off the truck and that the receipt listing the contents of their items did not match up with their things so they did not realize until a few days later that they were missing the boxes. They have tried to call the company with no luck. No return calls, Joe’s (the first scammer) voicemail is full. She wants to bring a lawyer in to sue the company. From reading reviews here, it looks to me like there are many, many people who might consider the same! So, lesson learned: DON’T USE THIS COMPANY, don’t trust any mover who doesn’t come to your house to look at your things to give you an accurate and final quote. Make sure the moving company is tagging every piece of your stuff and has an accurate and complete method for keeping track of your belongings, as well. WHY AND HOW IS THIS COMPANY STILL IN BUSINESS??

Frustrated and angry.

Do not use this company!!
It's a total scam, we had a horrible experience that ended up costing us another couple thousand. On top of that they broke our tv, lost or stole a bike, and broke a chair. Our stuff ended up taking the entire two weeks to be delivered, I called them daily asking when our stuff would arrive and was told it was still sitting in the warehouse in Sacramento. Then after two weeks of being told it was still in the warehouse, I received a call at 6pm saying the driver was an hour out, it then took another two hours for them to finally show up. They had lost some if the parts to put our stuff back together with, but at 10 they finally left.
Once I was able to go through my stuff I found one box that had gotten wet and everything was moldy inside. We also turned on our tv only to discover in the middle of the tv there was a huge crack where it had been dropped or something had been banged into it. I called my quote person to tell him what we had discovered and was told to place a claim, so we did. I then read the fine print and discovered what they'll give you back is only like .40 on the pound, so I again called back to voice my complaints and was told the company takes into account what the item was. That's a lie because I just got my quote back and it was .40 on the pound so in total they're only giving us $45 back, the total cost of all things damaged, stolen, or lost was $2,000.

Do Not Trust Moving Pros Inc!

As other reviewers stated, this company is horrible, and they are running a total SCAM. Please avoid them, unless you want months of hassle. First they use a bait and switch scheme, by giving you a super low-ball estimate, and then jacking up the cost once they pick up your stuff. The cost of our move DOUBLED, from estimate to final cost. The movers at pickup scratched our couch AND the door frame on the way out, and completely broke my headboard. The foreman in charge of pickup then scammed us by saying he was giving us a discount on packing materials, and that we owed him a CASH commission of $70. UNPROFESSIONAL. When I questioned the company about this later, they quickly refunded the $70, and said they were going to "reprimand the foreman". If he was already a problem, why is he still working for your company? When I asked the foreman to break some chairs down so they would fit better, he said "Oh we don't break furniture down; it would take too long". This was after the company had told me that the movers will break down and reassemble the furniture. The foreman at pickup then kept increasing the square footage calculation, until it was DOUBLE. My mistake, I should have gone out there with a measuring tape to check, and take photos. When I questioned the company about this doubling of the square footage estimate, they give a ridiculous explanation about how they calculate the square footage of the items. If your items don't stack perfectly like uniform-sized boxes, they are going to take up more space. So essentially, they are charging you for all this dead space in the van. I did not expect that it would be exactly what they estimated. But I thought at most, maybe $1000 more. It ended up being $2500 more.

Long story short, our items then took weeks longer than they estimated. I called them many times in between, and found out that our items were just sitting in some warehouse somewhere, waiting for a driver. They claimed they didn't have enough drivers, as if this is my problem. Don't offer long distance moves, if you don't have enough movers willing to do them. When we finally got our stuff, there were multiple scratches, a CRACK in the wooden part of our beautiful couch, two lamps broken beyond repair, one bookcase broken, and the other bookcase straight up MISSING. When you call the company, they give you some garbage about "we'll try to negotiate with you directly, to settle on an amount to cover the damage". Fast forward to FIVE WEEKS LATER, and have not heard from anyone, and no one has responded to my multiple emails. I come to find out, that no claim has ever been reviewed or filed, with their claims company, "Claims Service International". Now I'm told that I should file a claim with their claims company, which they should have done 5 weeks ago. I'm really disappointed in how much a company like this is taking advantage of consumers. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A GOOD MOVING COMPANY!

Beware!!

DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!! WARNING!!
Moving Prosinc estimated my House Hold Goods 'Move' for $2,800 from Dallas to Connecticut but when the truck got home to pick 'Move' my stuff, he estimated double the amount with no change in the list of items estimated.

Ultimately, they refused to transport my goods and I had to rent U-Haul along with their helpers to get my movement done.

I paid $742 as a booking amount to Prosinc on 29th Sept. Called them up, sent repeated mails but till date 23rd Jan 2018, they have neither responded to my calls or mails nor have refunded my booking amount.

TERRIBLE!! BE CAREFULL!!
