From the start, dealing with the main office was great- they gave me a fair deal and were a pleasure to deal with. They were very careful with the furniture and other items, and went beyond what they were required by dropping off a couple large appliances at a second location. They moved our very heavy sofa bed without a word of complaint. Nothing seems to have broken so can't complain about that. Would absolutely work with them again and recommend them to others.

Thank you to on the outstanding move they conducted for us last week. They were strong, willing and exceptionally able. They took great care with our items and when we forgot to seal a box filled with Jewellery and laptops, they were quick to seal it and pack it carefully. Nothing was damaged or broken even though we were on a steep hill in a double storey house. I cannot recommend this team enough. They were patient when we couldn't decide where to place our furniture, they were very entertaining and complete gentlemen. Thank you for outstanding customer service and excellent pricing. I would not hesitate to use Metropolitan Movers.

Last week, your company moved us from Toronto, ON to Vancouver, BC. Your employees did an outstanding job. They worked non-stop loading and unloading and were the hardest working people I've seen in many years - I was impressed! They were very accommodating, willing to make any changes we wanted, were very careful and thorough. All in all, they made this move a much better experience than we expected! These guys really busted their butts and are a credit to your company, employees you can be very proud of! Thanks, and please pass this along to their supervisors and other appropriate folks in your company.

While the 2 movers were friendly and efficient, I discovered damages to my furniture upon unpacking. I also sliced my finger open on a wrapped glass picture frame that was broken inside a box. I submitted pictures of the damage to the items in question. I was advised by a Customer Service Manager that since I had signed the completion form when the movers left they are not responsible for any of the damage. I explained I didn't find the damages until I started unpacking. The Manager told me I should have unpacked my entire belongings prior to the movers leaving then. Seriously!?!? That is a completely unreasonable expectation. Their website states "Best Customer Service in the Business!" Not at all..furthest from the truth!

I would not recommend this company based on their deplorable customer service. Once they get their money they don't demonstrate professional courteousy or responsibility.

Used them 2 years ago - excellent, put plastic down, nothing damaged.

Used them again, the movers walked with their shoes on my off white carpet, took chunks out the walls, scratched the front door and concrete with the treadmill, both damaged. No plastic were put down. The door frame is also scratched and damaged.

The movers even mentioned that me and my husbans could move some of the boxes later ourselves (to save time). Sorry buddy, that's why we hired a company..

The last thing you want to do when moving out of a rental, is spending more time and money by fixing walls and painting doors.
Nothing I can do about my damaged treadmill or the door frame..

Also, when it came time to pay, the mover insisted that I pay the $45 that was WAIVED at the time of the quote for the treadmill. I paid not knowing about the damage yet - and even gave the movers a tip. Needless to say, we are not impressed.

I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of work and care of the guys from Metropolitan Movers. I got a phone call a day before the move with the reminder and one hour window for guys to show up. They were very careful and thorough packing stuff. They had to disassemble a lot of furniture, which they did very fast and professional. Guys moved all the stuff without any marks on the walls.

Overall I was very impressed by their work and I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have help moving.

Best guys and really hard workers! They were worth well more than I paid them! They made our move so much smoother and I'm very grateful that I hired them! We moved from Vancouver to Toronto, and the experience was great. The crew, which was a three-man-team, was fast, efficient, and careful. They were all very pleasant and courteous people who got the job done better than any other moving company I've had to use. I have already recommended them to a friend of mine who will be moving within the next 60 days. There was nothing unexpected with the pricing, the people were honest, and we got everything done right on schedule.

From the beginning, it was a straightforward process. Received an email quote. No harassing phone calls. No sales pressure. Received the exact date and time I requested. The pickup crew was great. They were very personable, took the time to explain the process. Packed everything up with care. Even the furniture was shrink wrapped. Cleaned up afterwards.


They were extremely courteous and took great care and pride in their work. I would highly recommend using this company based on my experience.

I have moved many many times in the past several years, and this movers were the best of all that I have ever hired. They were extremely organized and efficient. They kept me updated via text msg when the movers were on their way and went they got to the new place. The guys were super fast during the move and had extra tape/ blankets available.

I would not hesitate to rely on these guys again & would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs to move.

This was the worse moving experience I ever encountered. First of all they scheduled me for a 11:00 move but didn't show up until 5:30. Then two men without uniform and looking quite thuggish get out of a truck that doesn't have the company name on it. These two men moved so slow it was ridiculous. The dispatcher Jacob was rude and was not helpful. Needless to say what should have taken 4 hours took 8 hrs. They charged me $900.00. Luckily my mom had the money for the extra $$ or the police would have been called. Run away quickly.

Used metropolitan movers for a move from a condo to a townhouse within Calgary. They arrived 30 minutes late. Two men, one who knew what he was doing the other a rookie. On the move they broke a metal leg to one of my dresser's which the veteran fixed with a screwdriver that I gave him. The leg of the dresser was not in the same place but it worked. They also dented another heavy bookcase that I had moved. Otherwise the move was uneventful. The move was 4 hours and cost me 550$. I guess you allow for human error?

Be aware. I received my bill before the job was done and noticed extra charges on it. When I asked I was lied to saying that they charge into the next 1/2 hour. So I paid not realizing this. When I checked the contract after, it said "The hourly rate is charged in ½ hour increments, and ten minutes into the next ½ hour the Company will round to the next full ¼ hour". So I called the crew manager and he told me I was charged an extra 25 minutes because when I signed the receipt they still had 25 minutes of work to do.
They also came into the first house with dirty shoes and walked all over my 1 month old carpet. They did not put blankets or runners down throughout the house. After noticing dirt all over the carpet I asked a crew member to put a blanket down and he said ok. Near the end of the move I noticed he never put a blanket down and the carpet continued to get dirty. After talking to the franchise owner he claims I never asked anyone to put carpet down. This was one of the most frustrating experiences. I was mislead multiple times and was charged for things that were not stated in the contract.

An extraordinary move. Efficient, professional. Every person played a pivotal role in securing a smooth and seamless process. There was no wasting of time. Extremely energetic, and well prepared and equipped for the job. Every piece of furniture was meticulously wrapped and secured. Every box was carefully picked up and placed on the truck. They loaded and unloaded two trucks, and not one item was broken or damaged. The services were also very reasonably priced. We are still talking about their exceptional work. I would recommend to anyone.

Do not use this company. They were almost an hour late. And the three young men that showed up were not professional movers at all. Hardly spoke English and were not wearing proper clothing or shoes. They had no idea what they were doing. They had to rearrange the truck 3 times to fit things in. I had to help move things because they were so slow. One of them stood around several times and when he did carry things he carried one tiny item at a time. My 11 year old daughter could carry more. Once we got to the new house we had to help them put furniture back together. They broke a leg off my ottoman and left muddy foot prints throughout entire house. Then when it came to pay they charged way more than quoted. I called to speak to a manger ( he also did not speak English well at all) and kept making excuses. He offered to waive a fee I was never even supposed to be charged. I would not recommend this moving crew or company to anyone. Terrible experience!!

Metropolitan Movers doesn't even do the moving job, they contract it out to local companies. As far as the actual move went, I was very satisfied. However, moving day was very emotional for me as my husband and I are splitting up. The mover took advantage of that and ended up overcharging me by $500. I followed up with Metropolitan Movers and was given the run around. Then I had to follow up directly with the moving company (Maple Green Moving and Logistics in London, Ontario) to request a refund. I was told they would be launching an investigation and would let me know the outcome. It was very clear that what my contract stated was very different from the invoice. Maple Green had copies of both items, so they should have been clear on the extra charges. Apparently I signed up for additional insurance on the day of my move, which was not made clear to me by the mover and was charged for additional line items which my contract covered. It took almost a full week of me calling and texting every day followed up with a threat to sue them. Then miraculously $400 was e-transferred to me (minus the insurance fee). Do not use either one of these companies!

Worst service I’ve ever received. Movers complained all day about having to move heavy objects. There were 4 guys, supposed to quicken the move, but after 11 hours they still weren’t done moving into my new home, they didn’t put back together any of the 3 bedrooms, they left my couches in pieces and didn’t put a desk back together. My 72 year old father had to help them move many objects and was left to put together what they did not. Not to mention, they left a bunch of dents and marks in my walls. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. Completely awful and nobody at the main office cares about how their employees treat their customers.
