Los Angeles Transfer and Storage

This company failed to honor their contract with us. On the day our goods were delivered their driver told us he was waiting for his "guy" to arrive and help him unload our goods. This is when we found out they only send one person from their company to deliver and unload. They use local movers to assist. When a local professional moving company arrived, they could not come to agreement on their fee, and they left. To solve this, Los Angeles Transfer and Storage hired two people from Craigs List to unload our goods. Unfortunately, the employee from Los Angeles Transfer and Storage got hurt on the job leaving my husband and I to unload our goods with two people hired from Craigs List. We paid for professional movers to deliver, unload and reassemble our goods. That is not what happened. We informed our moving broker who hired Los Angeles Transfer and Storage, provided details, photos and text messages of what happened, the broker immediately sent a request to Los Angeles Transfer and Storage requesting they reimburse us for the delivery portion. We made several requests asking for reimbursement, went through their CSI claims and the BBB. In the end, all we received was, "they were sorry for what happened." No refund!! All we asked for was a partial refund against the delivery fee. We thought this company was a professional service and would honor our request. We were wrong.

When I found out I had to move I was worried among many other things. I've heard horror stories of moving companies and how they treat their customers and their belongings. When the guys of Los Angeles Transfer and Storage showed up, my worries were put to rest. They were very professional and friendly. All my belongings were handled with the utmost care. My furniture and major appliances were carefully wrapped and moved out gently. All the fragile items were handled very gently as well. I am very pleased with my experience with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage and will recommend them to everyone I know!

Use Presto Moving & Storage instead.

We previously used Presto for our move from CA to FL without any damages to our items. Fast forward two years later for my Mom's move from CA to FL. We opted to go with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage because they were slightly cheaper. This was a costly mistake as all four dining chairs had paint scraped off, one caster leg on a desk chair broke off as did one of the wooden legs on an antique chair.

We filed a claim for damages. After several phone calls and emails, reimbursement for damages was only $177.00. This was based on which box was checked and signed for on the contract. It was true that she 'signed' for limited liability however she did not check the box for this option.  There is a difference between signed and checked.  The rep, David, put an X next to three places where my Mom needed to sign.  One was 'Form of Payment at Delivery'.  Another was 'To Be Signed Upon Pickup'.  The most crucial was 'Option A: Limited Liability'.  The box for that option was not checked.  Instead of giving my Mom an option of selecting Option A or Option B which was Replacement value, David put an X next to where she was to sign for Option A.  There was no discussion about the options.

At the time of this transaction, my Mom was a single 80 year old woman preparing to move from California cross country to Florida.  The process was overwhelming for her.  David preyed upon her vulnerabilities by not taking the time to explain the options to her.  It is very sad that an individual would do this.  I doubt he would do this to his own mother.

In addition, they stole a full bottle of Valium from her medicine cabinet.

We had been looking for good and reasonably priced vendors for quite some time and Los Angeles Transfer And Storage met our basic requirements and some of the more demanding ones.We found that they operated as promised in their marketing.They performed much better than another vendor we used that had larger team,but took a lot longer to ramp up on the project.I'd recommend these guys to anyone.In terms of service,Los Angeles transfer and storage has been a reliable service provider.

I've had terrible past experiences with moving companies (things damaged, broken,etc.) huge mess so I was worried about my move again. Communication was on point as they were on time and available to help me. Not only was everything handled in a respectful and professional manner but the price was in my budget. I called many moving companies and shopped around. I usually don't write reviews but I guess after having terrible experience and then doing business with Los Angeles transfer and storage .. I would highly recommend it to anyone that's planning to move. Will use in the future!

David at LA Transfer and Storage was great. I had planned to go with another company but he was so honest and helpfull than I changed to his truck. The packing and loading took over two and half hours. We packed 65 boxes ahead of time. David and his crew packed the HDTV, Stove, Refrig., tables, chairs, lamps, mirrors, dressers sideboard and the rest of the furniture.   At the delivery in Alabama the truck arrived at about 6:30pm. It was close to midnight before all the items were unloaded. Everything was in great shape. We are very happy that we went with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. There were no hidden charges. We paid the amount that was quoted to us in LA. These guys are for real!!

I never use moving companies, but when I found a job in AZ, and had to relocate from CA in a fairly short time, I needed to find someone ASAP--with a reasonable price, and reliability. A friend told me about Los Angeles Transfer and Storage, but I still did my due dilience and price shopped. In retrospect, I may have wasted my time with compairsons, because Los Angeles Transfer and Storage truly stood out in a positive way. Their timliness and competence enegendered trust, and all my items were delivered on time, and within a reasonable budjet. I would strongly encourage anyone who has to move their possessions to use Los Angeles Transfer and Storage.

L.A. Transfer is an excellent moving service that I highly recommend. They moved my furnishings over 12 rooms, from the West Coast to the East Coast in less than 5 days. They were very professional, from the sales representatives, to the packers, and loaders, to the driver, they all did a great job and exceeded our expectations. L.A. Transfer did Everything they promised they would do. They were very efficient, and unbelievably fast. Our items were packed and loaded with great care. The driver was in touch with us via phone throughout his trip. Our furnishings arrived in great condition. Not one item damaged. They unloaded our furnishings in our new location in less than 3 hours, putting everything in their specified rooms. The staff was very friendly, particularly the packers and loaders. They did a great job loading, making sure we did not incur any additional cost from exceeding our allocated space. After reviewing over 15 rate quotes from 15 different moving companies, L.A. Transfer was the lowest of them all, and provided a great service, by great people.

I would recommend LA Transfer and Storage and would not hesitate to use them again if needed. We used them twice last year.  The first time to arrange the transport of our car from the west coast to the east coast.   The second time was for the moving of our household furnishings.  Everything went very smoothly.  Everyone I dealt with from the office to the delivery of our furniture was professional and couteous.  Pickup and delivery was on time.  Communication was excellent with all involved.  Very positive experience.
