Los Angeles Transfer and Storage did a great job on my move from California to New York. Jennifer gave me the right price and guaranteed my belongings when it was needed. She was available anytime I had any questions and followed up with me throughout my move. I had four estimates prior to booking these guys and all the other companies gave me ridiculous prices. The staff was very professional and fast pace. I was very satisfied with my move and want to thank you guys for the wonderful work.

I was very hesitant when the movers arrived because I heard a lot of horror stories from friends about the moving experience with other companies.  Although I felt a little confident because it was a referral from a friend, in the back of mind I was still worried.  They came in the morning exactly on time.  I spoke with them and expressed what I wanted moved and how and they were very responsive.  As they started loading I went to the room to box some personal things.  When I want back to the living room the couches, coffee tables, side table, entertainment center and TV were already professionally packaged and ready to load.  I was amazed how quickly and professional they were.  Moreover, they took apart my bed which was very complicated with lots of screws and bolts.  They worked very fast loading a huge truck full of boxes.  When we arrived at the destination they loaded everything quickly listening to where I wanted everything placed.   They also successfully assembled my complicated bed.  I was so pleased I can't explain   If you are moving I highly recommend them.  Do yourself a favor during the stressful time and onuh get the to do your moving. .

In the past few years, I have moved 3 times and I used this company all 3 times. I have moved with other companies in the past, but in all honesty, this company's reliability, professionalism, and quality service is unmatched. All 3 times, everything was done hurredly in the last minute, and they were so helpful in giving me the dates I had requested. There were no "surprise fees" or damaged objects whatsoever. Very polite, understanding, and helpful from the first phonecall to the last box. The team was very professional and operated quickly yet carefully. Carrying heavy things through tight spaces and up/down stairs, they made sure everything was packaged properly and ready for transfer. The supervisor was very helpful, and made sure everything was sent to the right room in the new location. I was personally behind schedule, but with many thanks to these guys I was right on schedule by the end of the move. This is the most definately the best moving crew there is. See for yourself! .

EXCELENT, WOULD USE THEM AGAIN (In fact I am for my boss)  Recenly I accepted a position in the New York area so I needed to move from LA to NY.  I put everything in storage and headed east to deal with the move later.  Later I contacted Allied Van Lines at Beverly Hills Storage, sent a deposit and chose a date for the move.  Then I flew back to Ca two days early for the pick up.  Once I finally reached a person at this Beverly Hills Storage, no one knew what was happening. I fired them and was stuck as by now I had one day until I had to return to work.    Late that afternoon I went on line and found LOS ANGELES TRANSFER, called and spoke with Mary who set up an apointment for me at noon the next day.  At that time I met with David Hirsch who areeded to pack and wrap up all the items necessary the very next day and clean out my storage facillaty (which saved me another months rent)  He then was to transfer it all to his warehouse and hold it until a truck was comming East.  All of this for a very REASONABLE PRICE.  I gave him the required deposit, the keys to the storeroom and left everything in his hands.  The next day I received a photo via Text of the storage facility's  temination papers. The delivery in New York went as promissed and as easily as the pick up in California.  I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFULL TO LOS ANGELES TRANSFER FOR TURNING A BAD SITUATION INTO A POSITIVE - STRESS FREE EXPERIENCE    .

It's hard to say enough good things about Los Angeles Transfer and Storage! David did my initial intake ~ he was polite, attentive and had a very good attitude overall. I was given accurate information, an estimate that came very close to the actual price ~ we didn't have enough time for someone to come out and give us a free estimate ~ and still the price was within the range we expected!! The items packed by them came through WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE at all ~ AND the delivery date was EXACTLY when they said it would be delivered!! The absolutely best moving experience I've ever had ~ it was awesome! I'd hire them again and I highly recommend Los Angeles Transfer and Storage to anyone looking for an honest, reliable and conscientious moving company!! When I first read their online reviews, I thought they'd written the reviews themselves ~ after this move, I know better ~ these guys are the best!!

Worst experience in history. David Hirsch lied about not sub-contracting moves.  They do sub-contract. The truck carrying all of our household goods from California to Florida was impounded by DOT for operating on a suspended license. LA Transfer would not allow us to have another mover retrieve our belongings from the impounded truck even though they had been paid in full for the move. We had to wait over a week for them to pay a $10,000 fine to get the truck out of impound. When the goods arrived there was extensive damage. They agreed to pay us $400 in late delivery charges, but then refused payment unless we signed a release of all claims against them.  DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY! They also operate under the name of Budget Express Moving and Storage, Inc. Also, don't let them arrange to ship any cars.  That's an entirely separate nightmare we experienced with them. Don't believe anything David Hirsch tells you or says about this situation.   Also, they do not have multiple locations as they advertise.  All of the phone numbers forward to their one office in San Fernando.  I went to one of their listed locations and it was a strip center with no business there under their name..unless they operate out of a liquor store or Mexican restaurant.  These guys are dishonest.

I didn't expect this to be so easy. I moved from Florida to San Francisco California. My girlfriend lives there. We met on a cruise ship. The long distance just wouldn't work so I made the leap and moved. I had nothing but perfect service with David on time responsive honest. What else can you ask for. Not like these other companies here on yelp buying. There online representation this company is legit. Thank you again, David and the movers at Los Angeles transfer.

I have been dealing with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage for almost 2 years.  They have been very helpful even when I changed my mind several times.  They made a pick up and I was able to utilize their storage.  They even sent an email when I needed it for business purposes.  I really appreciate their personalized customer service when I call.   I have a personal go to representative, David.  If I call and he unavailable he will respond to my message and give me a return call. This move was longer than anticipated but I was still treated with dignity and true customer service.   I would recommend this moving company because from the very beginning I had a very good experience with my moving process.   LaVera M.

I lived in Burbank for about two years, and I've learned to love it, but I currently have a more solitary lifestyle as my roommate and I wanted to split up.
LA Transfer and Storage were critical to my move and were able to help me relocate in just a week. I was able to store my valuables with them while I made so last minute adjustments with banking and other personal accounts.
I highly recommend their services for anyone, especially if you're only moving from city to city.

From the beginning to the end the service was great there were no questions unanswered and the crew that came to my home was very helpful. I can honestly recommend this moving company to anyone and I'm glad that I chose them for their service. My delivery was a smooth process we received our items in beautiful condition and thanked the delivery guys with a hard earned tip and a pizza. Thank you LA transfer and happy new year.

I hired them for two short moves as I just got married and we lived in two different apartments. One move was from Studio City to Valley Village and the other was from Encino. We did it over two days. They were prompt for both moves and actually did the moves in about the exact time that I estimated based on previous moves. The foreman of the three man crew was excellent and moved very quickly. Even with a very long haul from the loading dock to my apartment, the move went quickly. I would recommend them for this type of short move.

Very competitive rate. They called prior the schedule date to confirm the time and they arrived at the time scheduled. The person in charge took the time to go over all the paperwork and answered any question I had. He provided a contact number as well. Their movers were careful, fast and organized. Everything was done well within the expected time. My move was out of state and when I was called them with my new address. They arrived on time and unloaded my stuff in a record time.Overall, Los Angeles Transfer has: very competitive rate, professional movers and excellent customer service that work at making sure that everything goes smoothly.Thank you.

This company really lives up to their word. I did an online search and saw what people had to go thru and how other companies charged them extra money. I was a bit hesitant since it was my first time moving and decided to book them based on the great words others had to say about them. I had an original quote and it was a hundred dollars more than another company I saw (keep in mind I got 4 quotes). I was planning on booking the other company but after reading the reviews people had to say about the other company I decided to go with los angeles transfer and storage. Everyone said that they ended up charging them much more for every little thing and that the move ended up costing a lot. After reading what people had to say about other moving companies I hoped that this would not happen to me even though they were a bit more expensive. The original quote they gave me they stuck to. I had 20 cubic feet over my original quote and they still did not charge me a penny more. They did a full packing move for me and not damage a single item. I am so happy I came across this company and will book them on my next move. Thank you Lisa for helping me throughout my move.

Use Presto Moving & Storage instead.

We previously used Presto for our move from CA to FL without any damages to our items. Fast forward two years later for my Mom's move from CA to FL. We opted to go with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage because they were slightly cheaper. This was a costly mistake as all four dining chairs had paint scraped off, one caster leg on a desk chair broke off as did one of the wooden legs on an antique chair.

We filed a claim for damages. After several phone calls and emails, reimbursement for damages was only $177.00. This was based on which box was checked and signed for on the contract. It was true that she 'signed' for limited liability however she did not check the box for this option.  There is a difference between signed and checked.  The rep, David, put an X next to three places where my Mom needed to sign.  One was 'Form of Payment at Delivery'.  Another was 'To Be Signed Upon Pickup'.  The most crucial was 'Option A: Limited Liability'.  The box for that option was not checked.  Instead of giving my Mom an option of selecting Option A or Option B which was Replacement value, David put an X next to where she was to sign for Option A.  There was no discussion about the options.

At the time of this transaction, my Mom was a single 80 year old woman preparing to move from California cross country to Florida.  The process was overwhelming for her.  David preyed upon her vulnerabilities by not taking the time to explain the options to her.  It is very sad that an individual would do this.  I doubt he would do this to his own mother.

In addition, they stole a full bottle of Valium from her medicine cabinet.

This was the worst move ever. They sent packers one with ankle monitor for a gun charge who asked if I would get him a pistol the other who could not write on the boxes. I provided a detail list of items from united moving was quoted 9900 for 2100 cu feet and when they had the truck half loaded said it was 2500 cu feet and 1500 dollars more. now we are over 11500 dollars I felt highjacked and bullied but paid s I had to be out of my house the next day. Fast forward stuff arrives late thrown in truck like a 5 year old packed stuff damaged I have pictures and guess what it was only 1800 cu feet. The driver says cash before I can even see but I have pictures. Never use this company they are not honest and my stuff is missing and scratched and smashed.
