It took me sometime to leave this review. But, I have to give credit where credit is due. I was on the fence about moving companies but Hawaii Moving pros made me believer. I got a quote from Jerry Love He always was available to answer any questions that I had. The movers showed up and move very fast and they were polite. I highly recommend using Hawaii moving pros for your next move. Ask for Jerry or Michael two of the best at what they do. I will be using them again on my next move. Thanks Hawaii Moving Pros.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8750

Do not use this company if you value your stuff!! Moved from San Leandro to Hilo. Company hounded me to get me to use their company, many emails and calls. Finally after giving me a very small discount if I delivered my boxes to San Leandro and reassuring me that my items would be safe, I decided to move forward with them. ( I should mention that there were two other business names that were involved with was very confusing) After mix ups with the delivery dates (Their mistakes) and dozens of calls to get me to buy the additional I insurance coverage my items were at the San Leandro storage facility, in front of me they taped up my black storage bins and assured me that they’d be safe. Being very nervous about theft I went ahead and purchased the additional insurance at that point. BUT after charging my card they told me “oh no it only covers 100% loss, meaning if the container falls off into the ocean”. My items arrived in Hilo two & half weeks later and were delivered to my new home. The crew carried in the containers, multiple containers had all of the tape ripped off. When I complained, the delivery guy said there’s nothing they can do about that. Not being able to go through all of the boxes before signing off, the guys were rushing saying they’ve got to go. I reluctantly signed just happy to see the items. Once I had a chance to go through the boxes I realized that over $3k in items had been stolen out of multiple containers!! I called Hawaii Moving Pros and was passed around on hold for 30 minutes, I sent an email to the main contact person, Micheal with no response! I then sent a second email to the insurance contact person that processed the additional insurance. I called again the next day only to be put on hold for 45 minutes. Clearly they don’t give a CRAP about their customers and their satisfaction! Extremely disappointed in this company and would never recommend them to anyone in the future.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2250

The only limitation of my comment is ghe communication preceeding the move. The packing and loading of the house was otherwise made by a fantastic crew having Carlos as a foreman. He was excellent in his communication witv us and his team, was very much attentive to our questions or requests, and his team was extremely cautious re the card of our goods, the respect of distanciation. They were all very polite,kind and respectful and it was a remarkable experience for us. I wish for them to be at our destination for the unpacking. Ghey worked very hard, in tough weather, but remain calm and smiling all along. They were the best part of the house sale and move. They are true professionals!! I hope they will be given a chance to see ghis review as a boost. They definitely deserve it. Tons of respect on our end for their behavior. We wish more people would have their commandable attitude. The administeative staff for the move in NJ was equally responsible and pleasant. Kuddos to All.

I read the negative reviews on this company and decided the positive outweigh the negative. I was wrong! I discovered that companies actually pay for positive reviews.

We decided not to ship in boxes and used heavy duty totes instead. This company still managed to break multiple lids and actually bend and break totes. We received damage items and more importantly they "misplaced" our expensive synthesizer.

Customer service will not return calls or emails at this point. Jazmine and Carly was very professional and polite until we made the final payment.

Fortunately, I did not sign their agreement to settle for sixty cents per pound if something is damaged or missing. I have no choice but to pursue legal actions.

Do yourself a favor and find another company.

Run the other way. They broke approximately 29 items and lost a lot more. We had packed totes and they were crushed and torn apart and so many heirlooms were lost on the way over! Only gave one star because some of our things arrived. They did not transport the vehicle according to contract, left e house we moved from with much damage and ripped wires from house and drove away. Police had to be called about damage. This was in July and still has not been rectified. I had such a horrible expience that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Cannot express the devastation we experienced from this company.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE! Didn't tell me my pick up time/date until 24hrs of my move! And on day of they were late 3 times! First it was scheduled for 9-11am, then 11am-1pm, then 3-4pm, and finally 6-8pm, WHICH THEY ENDED UP COMING AT 8:30pm!

Also Hawaii Moving Pros contracts a lot of their moving services to other 3rd party contractors on the mainland. The headquarters is not even in Hawaii as they are not a local company but on that operates out of California. They are simply a middle main who profits from their dispatch service. After some questioning I found that City Moving (1968 Williams St. San Leandro, CA 94577, 888-794-8808) would be moving my stuff. When the movers arrived a totally different branded truck arrived! You really have no idea where your possessions truly are as they are being transferred to different handlers.

After countless back and forth email they agreed to a discount which I really had to fight for and when the final invoice came they charged an additional amount instead of subtracting. This whole process just to get a $100 discount on a $3000+ order took almost a week. The are extremely unresponsive and often after your items are picked up will not reply back or pick up your calls.

Overall the biggest headache of an experience while moving at not at all worth the cost.

TLDR: They were late 3 times, middle man who uses 3rd party movers, invoice ended up higher after agreeing to a discount.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3000

From the very beginning this company was awesome. They were super helpful and communicative, and I was able to easily reach my contact person by phone and email. They always responded to my emails quickly, and returned my phone calls quickly as well. I was quoted eight weeks for my goods to arrive from California to Kauai, but they arrived in four weeks. I was also able to bundle my two vehicles in with the move, which saved me about $1000. The door to door service was awesome, and everyone from the coordinators to the movers were super friendly and great. I would highly recommend this company, and use them again.

Salesman was very attentive and easy to reach. Once I scheduled my move and made the deposit that was the end of the good service. Could never reach my move coordinator, didn’t get confirmation of move date until 3 days before the move. Even though I made an inventory, the packers that showed up with a truck to small for all my stuff so I had to lose $2k in kayaks, a garage shelf and a luggage rack for our car. We were given a very unrealistic time from which was missed. Almost two months later we were told our items were arrived and given a 5 day delivery window. I prepared for the move and scheduled leave. Our items were finally delivered two weeks after the window after several excuses.

Upon delivery the truck showed up 3 hours late with our stuff stuffed in it like a teenagers closet. Broken mirrors, crushed filing cabinets, missing hardware, broken dresser, and a wrecked motorcycle is just a small list of what was ruined. We were told they would offer extra insurance on pick up which they never did. If offered I would have bought it since they only pay $0.60 per pound for the item that is ruined. I paid $500 for my motorcycle to be crated and they paid me $420 for the $2,600 damage they caused on it. Over $4k in damage total and they wrote me saying how bad they felt about everything and they were going above and beyond to make it right.

These guys hire the worst movers and don’t care about your items, do not use them!
