Good Greek Moving and Storage

From the moment we met with Richie at our home for the guaranteed estimate, we knew we were in good hands. Was Greek the least expensive quote we received? No, but the quality, professionalism, and peace of mind was well worth every penny. The closing on our house was pushed back a week and with one short call to Richie our moving date was changed.

When Alex and his exceptional crew showed up the morning of the move, they were friendly and very professional. They respected our property, moved everything with care. Packed our TV and pictures perfectly. In 2 and a half hours had out 2nd floor condo and storage unit on the road to our new home.

Upon arrival at our new home (250 miles away) Alex and his crew unloaded everything with the same care and professionalism as when the loaded. Everything was put in it's place and arrived intact and unharmed.

We highly recommend Greek Moving & Storage and will be advising all of our family and friends who are in need of a moving service to consider no one else.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3001

I was foolish enough to believe the guarantees Richie made at his presentation of provided services at my move. Moving is stressful enenough without more aggrevation. The fellows who moved us were not at fault. We just weren't given in the move what we were promised. They wouldn't move our lamps,pictures,mirrors without bubble wrap. We were never told to provide supplies. We pointed out to Richie all that we needed move and he said no problem. One price and we guarantee the move. The system of leaving the drawers in and wrapping them with the furniture created enormous problems. When I opened the drawers everything fell down inside the back of the drawers and stuck every drawer. He said they would move the grill but never said not the tanks. Not happy!!I felt I was provided a fradualnt bill of goods.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1575

I was quoted a flat fee of $159, plus, $75 travel because I was so close to their facility?? and an additional 10% for fuel. I was required to put down $100 deposit as well. We had 1 1/2 bedroom sets already completely broken down, a box spring, a sofa, dining table and 6 chairs (my husband helped) and a few boxes. The night before my move, I received a call stating that I was to pay $159 "per hour" at a minimum of 3 hours. I declined stating that I was not given that quote and it was incorrect and was told that it would be waived because of the few items I had to move which should in no way take 3 hours to move 5 minutes away. The day of the move, it still took 3 hours to move which they charge for each hour plus additional fees (over $600). We were not charged what we were quoted at all. The movers are required to call the office to get the amount to charge. I will be requesting a refund off all the additional amounts they charged that were not agreed to.

This company is a rip off with dishonest employees. I am very disappointed.

I recently moved and used Good Greek. From the moment I called and talked to David McLaughlin, I felt this was the right choice for me. He was welcoming, friendly and answered all of my questions. I got a quote that I was very happy with and he made it very easy to schedule the move. When I called back to inform him that I had to reschedule the move for another day, it was no problem. On the day of the move, three gentlemen showed up and were punctual, which is a huge thing for me. I pride myself on always being on time and hope others do the same. They definitely did do that. They were very friendly and got right to work. They worked efficiently and took great care with all my furniture and belongings. They wrapped absolutely everything, so as to protect it all from damage. I have a 150 year old china cabinet that is very delicate and they treated it with kid gloves. When they got to my new home and I asked them to move the furniture around several times, they did so with smiles on their faces and absolutely no question. I am extremely happy with my entire experience with Good Greek, from David to Lele (who called me to make sure everything was going well on moving day and that I was satisfied with the service), to the three men who handled my belongings as if they were their own. I would recommend Good Greek Moving to anyone who needs a good moving company. Excellent job, everyone! Thank you all so much!!

From the morning Jack came to our house to provide an estimate, we knew we were in great hands. He provide a guaranteed estimate before leaving which kindly and respectfully included a Veterans discount to honor of my father who served in the USMC and had just passed away.

The day of the move, the team arrived right on time. They were kind and professional to me and to each other. I was impressed with how well they worked together. They used a wrapping method with padding to ensure everything was securely transported. They worked diligently and carefully until every item was on the truck.

When we arrived at our new home, 10 hours away, they carefully unpacked and placed everything exactly where we wanted it.

The exceptional service we received made our move a smooth transition and we couldn’t be more grateful!

We just used Good Greek to move our belongings from Coral Springs to Coconut Creek when our house sold quickly. we have always moved ourselves in the past but too old to do that anymore. We were truly apprehensive having heard all the horror stories about movers. But we were thrilled with our experience with Good Greek. The team that showed up were on time, courteous, fast, receptive to change (when storms were rolling in & I was hesitant to move furniture in rain) and totally professional. We decided on day 1 to break up the move into 2 days (because of the approaching storms) which actually worked out better for us. Thanks to Chris, Carlos, Horrit (?sp) and Kevin. When we complete our move to Georgia (retirement) we will definitely call Good Greek.

Everything regarding my move was great! From meeting with Michael and getting estimate, arranging move, and signing contract to Stanley and crew moving me was smooth. Just as Michael said, the crew worked hard and was very professional. They were there on time at 8 am and had me loaded by 9:30, dropped off my piano at my son's house and had me unloaded and set up in New home by noon. They bubble wrapped my furniture and everything handled with care. They knew what they were doing and placed everything where I wanted it. Thank you Michael, Stanley and crew!

Don't believe the hype and the commercials. Same typical moving nightmare stories with a bigger marketing budget to be on TV. They never mentioned I was on the second shift until the day before the move and that is only because I called to confirm. Obviously it was too late to hire someone else so I said OK. If I was told that from the beginning I would have hired another company specially since my wife and I took the day off from work. Anyways, I was told the crew will call me by 9 am to let me know how long the first move was going to take. Never received that call. I called at 10 am and spoke to Shane and he said approximately around 1-3 pm. I explained to him my situation with the HOA in the new place all commercial vehicles have to be out by 5 pm. I called at 4:15 and he said they were stuck in traffic and will be there by 4 pm. It is 4:30 pm. and they have not shown up. I'm ex military and war veteran and the owner claims to have been part of a SWAT TEAM. Brother if you know anything about punctuality you know that if you are on time you are actually late. Stop misleading and lying to customers and run your company the way you would like to be treated. I would give you a ZERO but that's not an option. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

I've moved many times over the years and have had some good moving companies and one AWEFUL moving company. I highly recommend this company because we had the pleasure of using Good Greek Moving twice this year in March and July 2019. The first move was to and from two places: condo to storage facility to remove items then to new condo. From Jack who provided the estimate to the packers and moving staff were professional, courteous, knowledgable, and well versed in every aspect of their specific duties. The care and concern shown for our possessions was remarkable. No damage, scratched or broken items. Any questions or requests I had were answered promptly and professionally. Anything that required my attention was brought to me immediatly. When moving items from the storage unit a mover notice that the glass on a picture which had been wrapped in a moving blanket was shattered. He took time to remove the broken glass and package the picture in a box so I could safely take it to have the glass replaced, He apologized for the damage even though it was not his fault! Profession staff and honest employees who express care and concern for your possessions is an excellent combination. My recommendation to everyone moving is to use Good Greek Moving & Storage.

I would not recommend this company at all. I would have rather moved myself after this experience. I found the damaged several items, including a TV. The reimbursement for damages is based on weight in some cases. Think about that when you move expensive items that don't weight a lot. The also estimate when they deliver your items how long it will take to unload everything. Regardless of they end early, you are you charged for the estimated. I attempted to dispute this and they even accepted the fact that the team got done earlier that what was estimated. There was even proof of building cameras when they arrived and left and still I was not refunded the amount I was overcharged. It's another shady Miami company.

The men who came to prepare my belonging seemed quite efficient. We agreed that delivery could be delayed 10-14 days. Then the problems began. I never received a count on the number of boxes taken although I called a couple of times. Quite a few of these boxes had been clearly marked FRAGILE. At delivery several boxes had been tossed carelessly including the fragile ones. Many Irreplaceable Limited Edition items had been shattered. I filed a claim w/pictures. They offered me $25. for my "ornaments". Of course I refused. I tried again w/more information.

They have not replied to any emails nor any phone messages. I would not recommend this company at all. Very Disappointed!!

Florida to Georgia

We were very disappointed with our move. It started out great with the estimate and the move out. There was an issue with them sending a truck too small for our move. They had to return the next day to pick up the rest of our things, which meant transferring our belongings to another truck. The good experience all ended when we arrived at our destination. We purchased a new home and the movers damaged a lot of the trim. There were pieces missing, and I saw it happen. Luckily my husband speaks Spanish, as they sent two men I could not communicate with. They could not understand what rooms I wanted the boxes in. When I unpacked there were over 20 pieces broken, two were pieces of China and two were expensive Lladros. The company never contacted us to see how our move went. We would not recommend Good Greek Moving and Storage.

Disappointed by Good Greek Moving. I chose Good Greek because they are the official movers of several organizations in South Florida and because they have a focus on hiring veterans. I was treated really well and promptly at the beginning of my interactions with them, but that fell away over time. My move was across the country, so they let me know that my delivery window would be between 4-30 days.

A few days after pick up, I received notification that my stuff would arrive in my new home within 48 hours. I frantically found someone to help with the delivery as I was not planning on moving so quickly. Once I had everything sorted, Good Greek let me know that they had made an error and that my stuff would not be arriving as they had said.

Because of the 4-30 day window, I began calling around day 26 because I had not heard anything from GGM. The team began dodging my calls, not responding to my emails, and not calling me back when I left voicemails. Eventually, they said to me that it was supposed to be 4-30 BUSINESS days rather than actual days.

This made me so angry because all of the written documentation clearly said 4-30 days, NOT 4-30 business days. And when I began seeking retribution for my delay (the move came about 2 weeks after the 30-day limit), I kept on being ignored.

Eventually, I had to email Spero, the CEO, himself to let him know of my problems. He of course fixed it immediately, but this was several months into the ordeal.

I would not recommend Good Greek Moving. Find yourself another company that would actually respond to its customers in a timely and professional manner.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

The pickup was ok, and it looked like they had a system, they numbered all items with stickers and had a list.

My items were in storage and I actually had them there for 2 more months than I originally had planned, for which they charged me handsomely..

When my items came out of storage is when it all went wrong, they really have no system, there were numerous items and boxes missing and quite a few items broken. We received boxes that were not mine and it took them 2 weeks to collect those and deliver some of my items they found in the warehouse?? For the other boxes I am missing I have now been waiting 4 months and no word. I have called repeatedly and they always promised to call back but never do. I guess their view is, “getting 90% of your items is not bad “ It is obvious they don’t care, they have your money and their incentive to serve you is completely gone.

They even charged me for storage when my items already were no longer with them, upon confronting them about that charge they promised to look into it, needless to say I had to put in a dispute with Amex to get that money back.

Keep you hard earned money for somebody who knows what service is and cares.

After they reviewed my estimate, they began packing and moving my items. They brought lots of moving blankets, tape, and extra boxes just in case. They wrapped my furniture really well and loaded everything efficiently. Before leaving my apartment they did a final walk through to make sure they didn’t miss anything that was on my list! When they got to my new apartment they asked me where I wanted everything and then placed & unwrapped everything with caution. None of my items were damaged! I would highly recommend Good Greek Moving!

Excellent moving experience! I would highly recommend them to anyone. From the beginning , the estimate from Billy was both informative and accurate. I knew exactly what to expect. The office staff was helpful throughout the entire process. The crew showed up on time and with a very clean truck and plenty of new blankets to use for wrapping of the furniture. My beds and desks were not only disassembled but also reassembled perfectly on the other side. The crew was extremely polite and courteous throughout the day. Just an overall great experience, Kudos for the effort. I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them.

Phil, VP of sales was very explanatory and worked with us to come up with a very fair offer.

They were timely, efficient, thorough and came Back after about 20 minutes when I noticed they’d forgotten a large lamp. No problems at all.

Later at 11pm, I noticed a box was missing from our car, which mistakenly had been picked up and put on the truck to be taken back to storage. My meds and toiletries were in the box! Being that their warehouse is open 24 hours a day, we called and spoke with @SantiagoCaballero, #SantiagoCaballero who was working the night shift. He went out of his way to find the crates that held our boxes, sent me pictures to see if I could identify, and Found the important box to give to my husband that drove there to help! Kudos to Santiago! I’d Highly Recommend this company, and I have No Concerns for the next leg of our journey: when they drop off at our new home.

This company false advertise and over charges. They are a complete rip off.

After a conversation with one of there staff we received an email with a quote which we all estimated that it would probably cost us about $500 to move from one side of Miramar to the next 15 mins drive the most. We were told we had to pay $200 deposit to lock in the date and time which we did. We were told the guys would get to the house at 10 am they came at 8 am, when they got to the house they were not wearing gloves or mask which they currently advertise, we offered the guys mask two of the 3 took it the third refused to and while we were on the phone trying to speak to someone from the company about this they just left without saying anything. We finally got through to someone and were promised they would try to get another crew out to us. They guys came a little after 1 pm, after the wrapped and packed and got to the other location the driver came with a bill and said my balance was $1100 plus I almost had a panic attack I was in shock, they said yes they charge for material 15% fuel charge for the total move and we had to pay for an additional 3 hours and if they finished before we would get a refund and I had to pay this before they took our stuff off the truck we were also promised a $50 discount for local move we never received that either. Can you see how dishonorable this company is. They bully their customers to over pay or they won't release your stuff from the truck. Also keep in mind it was a two bedroom and dining and boxes and they only assembled the the dining table and one bedroom. They are unfair and this company is no good. Still haven't heard anything on my refund because the guys didn't work for all 3 extra hours. I wouldn't recommend to my enemy. And now they are trying to tell to tell they can give me a discount of $300 when they charged me for 7 hours didn't refund me the extra hours. That's not a discount that my money you over charged me, I would like the other $200 please. You guys are the worse now saying giving me back $500 out of my $1388 that I was charged would be a full refund. What about the promotion for $50. No good Scam company.

This is the WORST company I've ever dealt with.

We hired Greek Moving to move from Florida to Georgia. A Greek Moving employee came to our home to see our items and provide a quote. He told us that artwork and other framed items should stay on walls and would be handled by the movers. He promised that special boxes would be provided for this artwork, which included some large oil paintings. The contract thus specified “7 mirror cartons included.” We also had lots of clothes on hangers. We were told that we should not buy wardrobe boxes and that they would also be provided. This was also in the contract.

We were promised that 24 hours before the move, we would be given a call to advise us of a couple-hour window that Greek Moving would arrive the next day. No one called. Toward the end of the day, we called the office and were told we could not be given a window (despite prior representations), but that they would call the next day “before noon” with a window. The next day, still no one called. We called several times, and no one could give us a window.

Despite knowing that we were driving to Atlanta, Greek Moving overbooked multiple local moves to do first and scheduled ours last. They did not even give us the courtesy of telling us that, and we sat and waited for hours for them to show up. After many phone calls, they finally arrived around 5:45 p.m.

But the movers did not have the wardrobe boxes or the mirror cartons that were expressly agreed upon in the contract. When we called the company, the representative we spoke to (Shane), was rude and dismissive and refused to send someone with the proper supplies. He said that they were “busy” (which was entirely their fault for overbooking) and that we should think of alternative solutions. He told my wife she was acting like a child for worrying about the paintings and demanding that the supplies be provided. Even Shane, however, agreed though that the movers should not wrap oil paintings in blankets, which he agreed could ruin them. Literally as he was telling me this, Greek Moving’s untrained and incompetent movers were wrapping the paintings in blankets, and I had to tell them several times to stop. Shane also said that the clothes would be hung in wardrobe boxes once the truck arrived back in the warehouse, which was one of many of Greek Moving’s lies.

Hours later and after many calls, we were told that a truck would be coming to provide the supplies that were contracted for. While several mirror cartons were brought, not enough were brought and the movers triple-boxed paintings and other framed items together with no protection. Also, the wardrobe boxes were brought without bars, making them useless. The movers just dumped our clothes in the boxes, ensuring they would be end up wrinkled. We were again told that the clothes would be properly hung when the truck arrived at Greek Moving’s warehouse. That was another lie.

When the movers arrived at our new house, I told them the walls were just painted and to not lean anything against the walls. But they still did. And despite certain boxes being labelled “FRAGILE!," the movers repeatedly put multiple heavy boxes on top of fragile boxes.

The movers damaged a large, expensive buffet. I did not see other even larger damage on the other side of this piece until after they left because they placed a bunch of boxes in front of it to cover it up. And when I tried to move the piece, I discovered that they also caused the bottom to be loose and it will now collapse if moved, which the movers also hid from me. The movers also damaged the back of my desk. Again, they did not say anything and pushed the desk against the wall to hide the damage.

When one mover was bringing a file cabinet upstairs, I noticed he was holding it improperly and that the drawers could swing open. I told him this and asked him to be careful. He ignored me. Sure enough, a drawer swung out and fell, causing it to be permanently dented. When moving items to our basement, the same mover stepped on a light bulb and caused broken glass to go everywhere. He ignored it and did not say anything or clean it up.

When we unpacked, we found that a diploma frame I just purchased still in its original box was missing. We also found the wardrobe boxes still without any bars and with all our clothes crumpled at the bottom.

We also found a box that contained our microwave, our large Keurig on top of the microwave, and a small oil painting all loose, unwrapped, and unprotected in the same box. Miraculously, the painting was not damaged despite floating around unprotected with a microwave and a Keurig. But he microwave was dented and damaged by having a large Keurig idiotically placed on top of it.

I could go on with other things, such as how they left multiple screws loose when putting together a crib. But I don't have enough characters left for everything.

We told Greek Moving all of this. They never responded. They don't care. DO NOT HIRE!

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE! I hired Good Greek Moving to help me move based on their reputation in the South Florida area; however, I got absolutely SCAMMED. I was originally quoted $150/hour for my move (one bedroom apartment’s worth of furniture), 7 miles away, which they anticipated would take 2 hours. With materials, I expected to pay around $500, which I thought was reasonable. After the movers got the largest of my furniture into my new place, they showed me the bill, which (to my surprise) was $1200. I needed help understanding HOW the bill was so high, so I spoke with the manager on the phone, who informed me that the labor for the move began “when the movers leave their homes.” I was then told that the movers had travelled over 40 miles to get to me (despite Good Greek being located in the same city as me), which meant I owed money BEFORE MY MOVE EVEN BEGAN. I attempted to reason with the manager on the phone; however, he was inflexible, unprofessional, and threatening – informing me that my only option (other than paying the $1200) would be for the movers to return everything to my original place, which I obviously didn’t want, since I was at the end of my lease. I felt absolutely trapped, misled, and coerced into paying an obscene amount of money for the move, which ended up being 6 hours-worth of labor (3x what I was originally quoted). All in all, I was THOROUGHLY disappointed with Good Greek Moving and would implore you to SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE – ONE STAR!
