We put a down payment for a move with this company but cancelled within the allowed period. They agreed to refund our almost $5000 deposit (in writing( but eight months later we still have not received it. We have called them frequently but each time get a different excuse as to why we are not getting our money back. This is FRAUD!!!! We are now pursuing legal means to get our refund. Recommend you stay away from this company.

I put a deposit down in 2020. I canceled my move the next day. They gave me a refund authorization and never sent my refund. I spent a year calling and emailing for my refund. I reported them to BBB and gold standard claimed that there financial department were tied up with legal matters. Here it is 2 years later and no one has reached out to me. I would not recommend or trust this business.

GS Moving and Storage took our deposit $1890, then no-showed on moving day. They rescheduled for a later date and no showed again. The second time, they emailed me and said the job was cancelled. Really? My move can’t be cancelled because our house is sold and the new owners are staying at a hotel on my dime.

Total crooks. I’ve never had any business experience this bad with any company.

Still Waiting for the Refund

We filled out an online enquiry form on a moving search web page. Gold Standard called within a minute and came up with a selling proposition that required an immediate $3,150 deposit. We became suspicious and canceled within the cancellation window and were promised a full refund per their policy. Still waiting after 20 months. In my opinion this amounts to a fraudulent operation.

A few days back, I was asked by my boss for a immediate shift to MD for some official reason. I booked the mover's company on a very short period and that’s why was worried with the booking. Not only were they exactly on time, also all the things were shifted with no breakage. Professional bunch of people.

Really friendly service, from start to finish, lots of communication and very accommodating from re quoting for my extra items to helping me pack my last few bits, plus the packaging of things were eye openers. My moving crew Lewis and Ryan, arrived early and completed my move before time and below budget. This was my first smooth move. Nothing was damaged. I never would have imagined that that a move could go this perfect. These guys moved a 3 bedroom apt to a 4 bedroom house with ease.

They made my move so seamless. They will always be my first pick from now. The guys were great, very careful and efficient. My furniture was packed, loaded and unloaded in the new space in less than 2 hours. They took the time to wrap furniture and secure box seat. They were vigilant and on toe for everything which was needed.

Moving is usually a stressful time, especially for someone that's 5'1" with too much furniture. But this time since I was moving an hour away, I needed help and was referred to Gold Standard Moving and Storage services by a friend who had their help before. They really impressed me.
