Hi everyone. Have just completed my move with City Removals and all I can say is what a fantastic job they have done. I choose them after a friend recommended and what a good choice. It was a pack and move in the same day with a very early start(06:00 AM).They arrived on time and 5 hours later all my contents were packed and loaded in the truck(2 bed flat).They sent a 4 man crew. Incredibly hard working and polite. No stress at all throughout the whole move. They used covers for all the fragile furniture , sofas and mattresses. Will recommend them to anyone without a doubt.

I moved from London to Halifax and city were about in the middle of the cost range.
They put up with all my changes of dates and finally we locked down on monday of this week. They arrived early but said they could wait if I wasn't ready. I was in fact ready so started off. The only criticism of the move out was one of the guys accidentally walked some mud into the house as it was raining outside but he tried his best to clean it up. I would recommend you advise them to place blankets rather than expecting them to naturally do this. They moved all my belongings out in 3 hours and then into storage.
I did have to pay extra again (£35) as they underestimated the storage and they did want this additional money in cash but as they didn't tell me this until one hour before the delivery, I wasn't able to get to a bank so advised them Id transfer the money afterwards. They accepted this but I did think a bit of forward planning could have removed this stress.
Moving in they were very quick, put blankets down and didn't complain when I stated I wanted all the boxes to be put in the upstairs room so I could hide them away until I wanted to unpack.
I guess I was a little unsure at first as they seem to be relatively new business but absolutely made the right choice - nothing was damaged, they were very courteous and the 2 guys who did the move were quite laid back which made the removal nice and easy.
I would certainly use them again - especially as the more well known companies who Ive used before provided an equal service but at a premium.

City Removals were one of only two companies (out of 7) to offer a free site survey. The surveyor also directed the job on the day, providing excellent continuity of care. The price quoted of £1,200 to include full packing service was very competitive and after reading very positive online reviews I decided to go ahead. I am very glad we did. City Removals arrived the day before to pack our three bed flat in London, before loading at 7am on the day of the move. Everything was packed properly and labelled, our beds and furniture dismantled and reassembled on arrival, and a bulky bunk bed we didn't want, they dismantled and took away. Nothing at all was damaged or broken and all fragile or heavy items were wrapped in specialist covers with straps. The team of two on the packing day and the team of three on moving day were friendly, courteous and very professional - and they worked very very hard. All from Romania, they demonstrate the superiority of the Eastern European work ethic. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Booked two removals with City Removals and pleased with how both went. Removal guys were pleasant and very helpful. Nicola who came and did the quote was professional. First was a small removal for about 3-4 hours work (Epping to London SE1) and the other other was a full day about 10 hours (Epping to Middlesex). Smooth from start to finish. Total cost was about £900. We did packing ourselves. Felt the cost was competititive as the quote was about what was I was expecting compared to what I had paid in the past with other companies. Will use again. Thank you City Removals.

We have moved numerous times over the years, but City Removals we by far the most efficent, professional and all round good guys.They arrived early, and once we told them what was to go, they efficently got on with the job. We loved the idea of the online quote, once we knew what we were taking, we listed it all and they got back to us within a few hours with a great realistic quote. Even when we thought they would struggle with our large sofa's they amazed us with the ease they got them out of the old place and into the new place. We will certainly be using them again! and recommend them to friends and family.

Very very impressed with the service.I just can not say enough about how good the service was.Throughout the move I felt like they really cared.Nicola the lady who did the survey at my flat was extremely nice and polite.The move lasted 2 days .Choose them after I was impressed about their reviews on this website .
Very quick responses to my queries and also came on time in both the packing and the removal day.
The 2 men that did my move were also very polite and professional.Everithing seemed easy for them.No damages to anything whatsoever.
The move day was quite long , but the lads(nick 1 and nick2) never complained and kept on working.I was quite stressed on the day but one of them explained me what was going to happen on the day, roughly how long he thinks the job will take and reassurred me that everithing will be all right.This has helped me quite a lot to calm down.
Have to say that their price was a bit more expensive than others but also not the most expensive.I can now say how happy I am I choose them and that it was worth every penny.
So people please do your research as moving can be so stressfull if you chose the wrong guys.Do not chose your company solely on the price as doing this is quite tempting but can get you in trouble.Very glad I found this website.

I used City Removals to move a 1 bed flat from W1 to W9. The final price £995 included: packing services (including materials), the removal, unpacking as well as two professional cleanings (the old flat and the new one). The company not just met, but well exceeded my expectations in terms of service, punctuality, professionalism, staff friendliness and communication. They did what I thought would be impossible: taking the stress out of moving! The two crews (one for moving and one for cleaning) arrived on time, were very polite and spoke perfect English. While the one team was packing the old flat, the other team was cleaning the new flat. I only had to show them once what things were going to stay in the old flat, and they made no mistakes at all. When in doubt, as I told them, and same with unpacking, they called me to make sure they got it right. All in all, for any of my next moves or for any of my friends or colleagues, I would recommend City Removals with absolutely no hesitation. They are simply the best moving company I have ever, and probably will ever use. All my stuff arrived safely, very well packaged, was unpacked very efficiently, even without my direct guidance, and once completing the unpacking, they were kind enough to show me around the flat, and explain where they put my staff. They did an absolutely fantastic job! Thank you guys!
