So if I could give zero stars I would. I have called the USDOT and California Consumer Affairs office which stated the company has an interstate license but no intrastate license listed with them. Consumer Affairs will be following up on that. The USDOT will investigate only if they deem it proper and the company doesn't follow established Federal Regulations for Moving and Shipping companies. So lets say if you get [NAME EDIT] as your sales guy he is the biggest [EDIT] I have ever talked to. So after your loaded you will never hear from him again, he will be in a meeting, away from the office or on another call. He will refer you to [NAME EDIT] who is a piece of work herself. She will promise to get back to you but never does and you have to try and continually text both parties since you never will talk to a live person once you are loaded. So I have gone down to the Hollywood Police Station and talked to office LU who stated that I probably should fill out a police report since his investigation shows no real phone number, google only, they never responded to his inquiries, and [NAME EDIT]'s phone number has someone named [NAME EDIT] on it with a full mailbox.
So my experience mirrors all other negative reviews. [NAME EDIT] called and called to earn my business. I finally looked at the their website(all [NAME EDIT] by the way) and said to send a Foreman and worker out to my place to look it over and then report to [NAME EDIT]. Then [NAME EDIT] gives me a $4000.00 quote, sound familiar to other reviews!? Upon loading the truck my quote goes to $7000.00 for a 1 bedroom apartment. The workers were late, the foreman, [NAME EDIT] had a bad knee. I had two shelves to pack in the kitchen so I left him to it, to my surprise I find broken pieces of my grandmothers dinnerware all over the floor after they left. Then a friend of [NAME EDIT]'s shows up and doesn't follow the order of the move, I had labels for everything. They also ran out of supplies for a 1 bedroom apartment. According to [NAME EDIT] this was his best foreman.
So times goes by and after the 18th I never hear from anyone again. Oh [NAME EDIT] will text with no answer and she will says its all my fault(sound familiar to the other negative reviews)?! I have the $3000 in money orders from the USPS waiting but I probably will never see my things again or as previous reviews mentioned it will be all broken and scratched or missing tvs and appliances like on the BBB website for April.
Please contact me if you need further information about this company. All the bad reviews are true. I wish I had seen them, down in LA. $7000 dollars later.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7000

I had to move to NY with short notice and was nervous about hiring a moving company, since I've never used one before. Jim was the representative that I spoke with and he explained the moving process and things I should expect. He also told me that it would take about 2 weeks for delivery. There were some complications with scheduling times, but they stayed in communication with me and were able to get me loaded in time. Dawn and Cindy really went out of their way to help make this move happen. Because of my situation, I didn't have time to get a couple of items I needed to pack some valuable pieces in and the guys had special boxes/wrapping on the truck and did it for me. I was expecting 2 weeks to get my things and they arrived in 9 days!! There were a couple of boxes that had minor rips at the top, but nothing inside was damaged and all of my furniture was in good shape. One dresser drawer handle had a small crack, but nothing major. I really appreciate all of their efforts. It wasn't perfect, but my overall experience with California Relocation Systems was very good and I would definitely recommend them to others!!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $6800

Moving can be very stressful and after looking at many moving companies and their reviews, I finally settled on California Relocation Systems to help with my move from California to Florida. Their quote seemed reasonable and the customer service was extremely helpful, answering any questions that I had. They were very receptive and responded to all my questions in a very efficient and timely manner.
The movers that picked up my furniture were very professional and on time. They were well equipped and they packed all my valuables within 1 hour.

When I received my furniture the driver was professional, courteous, on time and very efficient. Your team made it possible! My sincere appreciation goes to George and Dawn. Because of them, it was possible to move in a stress-free manner. Thank you so much. I would recommend California Relocation Systems for any long distance move. You did everything that you said you would and the whole relocation process turned out amazing.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5891

This was a very straightforward experience with California Relocation Systems which is refreshing considering most moves are needlessly complicated and lengthy due to involuntary actions and mistakes made along the way. Sometimes those mistakes and actions are voluntary.

With the California Relocation Systems team we were fortunate enough to witness a well orchestrated moving process that was thoroughly planned frommthe time they picked up our belongings in Santa Monica, until they finally dropped them off in Florida.

I was very impressed with their knowledge and experience throughout this move. It really showed that they cared about the condition of their customers belongings as the move went on. The final results were favorable.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5500

This company helped me move to RI. They picked up my things from a storage site in CA and dropped them off at our new house in RI.
My main issues are: 1. They use shady temp people to load and unload.. trucker placed a craigslist ad when he arrived and that attracted the scum of the earth into our home. 2. I discovered about $5k worth of power tools have been stolen out of our things. Not surprisingly, as they use the scum of the earth.
No exaggerations or anger here.. just completely disappointed with their business model and I wish I had used a more reputable company!

STAY AWAY! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO ACCOUTABILY FOR DISHONEST PRACTICES!! The five star reviews here most certainly are not real, but I can assure that the 1 star reviews are very real being that I have had, and am still currently having a negative experience dealing with California Relocation Systems. I should've believed everything that the negative reviews have stated.

On March 4, 2019, I contacted CRS and spoke with Tom regarding moving from California to Maryland. He excitedly provided a quote of only $1916. I asked him at least 3 times over the phone if that is an accurate amount, and he repeatedly assured that I wouldn't be paying over that amount pending that I do not add any large/bulky items like a “PIANO”. LIE NUMBER #1. I paid my deposit and never heard from Tom again, even when I needed his help with the movers. We arranged a pickup date of March 13th, they arrived the next day. The movers loaded the truck, then provided a quote of $3200. Keep in mind that my initial quote included a 4 chair dining room set, which was not even loaded onto the truck. This was substituted by two boxes, which should not have changed my quote by much, especially not by $1300. I immediately attempted to get on the phone with someone at CRS, which is painfully hard to do unless they are trying to make a sale. The lady that I spoke with (can’t remember her name) was extremely rude. She kept explaining that “my items aren’t a perfect square” so they take up more space than initially quoted. She even had the audacity to tell me that I should’ve known the quote wouldn’t be accurate, even though it is their software that spits out these phony quotes and the salesperson is assuring that it is accurate. After going back and forth with her for about 30 minutes, she finally put someone else on the phone who was able to reduce that amount to $2600. I was still upset at such an inaccurate quote, but at this point my stuff was on the truck and I had to relocate in the next 2 days. I spoke with Dawn to set my First Available Delivery Date at April 17th, due to me being out of the country for 3 weeks. I understood that there is a lag in delivery from the available delivery date to the actual delivery date. They claim that long distant moves can take 3-21 business days. LIE NUMBER #2. It is now May 15, 2019 (20th business day) and I have no idea where my things are. The only way I can seem to reach Dawn “Customer service” is via email. I have had to email her on numerous occasions to get a status. All she has been able to tell me is that “the warehouse hasn’t called her back and she will follow up with me later.” LIE NUMBER #3. She never follows up, and I am having to keep reaching out to her to find out why I still don’t have my things a whole month later. I can only look forward to not having my things for another few weeks, and they will probably arrive broken and damaged like everyone else’s has. SAVE THE HEADACHE AND STAY AWAY FROM CALIFORNIA RELOCATION SYSTEMS! FAKE REVIEWS! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! NO ACCOUNTABILITY!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2600

I met with the movers at my storage unit, they loaded the truck completely then came to my car and handed me a form to sign - the form indicated that the price I agreed to of $4800 door to door was being changed to over $12,000!!

I told them absolutely not, and spent close to 2 hours arguing with them, and dispatch on the phone.

I finally told them to unload the truck and put everything back in my storage unit.

At this point they agreed to only charge $700.00 more because I had an extra sofa and chair at my nearby house I needed them to get. I agreed.

We got to my house they loaded the sofa and chair, and then tried to say that the extra $700. Wasn’t enough, they wanted $2150 more. I refused and again told them to meet me back and the storage unit and unload everything. After another hour I told them I was calling the police. They finally got in their truck and just drove off.

The delivery was supposed to occur within 7 days, after 2 weeks I called (Which was a challenge in itself because the number they gave me went to voice mail and never got answered) and they indicated that my furniture was still sitting in California, they promised it would leave by the end of the week.

I called a week later - same story, at this point I got my attorney involved.

After over a month they said my furniture was finally leaving California. All total it took nearly 5 weeks for the delivery that was promised within 7 days. They said it wasn’t their fault that no one wanted to drive to MT!!

When they arrived at my ranch in Montana they refused to drive down a road that heavy equipment and huge trucks drive down every day - so my men had to hook up 2 trailers and drive 5 miles to the end of the road load the furniture and drive it to our location.

There were 2 broken pieces of furniture - we are going through everything today to confirm we have everything that is ours.

I think the only reason I got my furniture is I got my attorney involved and started writing bad reviews which they told me they wanted me to take down.

These people are con artists and Bullies!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4800

Pack up date got moved several times, movers showed up late (around 8 pm). I moved out of Los Angeles March 7, and moved to Rhode Island - It is the middle of June and my stuff "still isn't loaded and it will be 5-7 days to get my stuff once it does get loaded." I requested on May 20 to have it shipped so I could have it at my apartment June 3. It's June 14 and it will be late June at the earliest before my stuff arrives. I would love to have the service provided that we paid for. Thanks!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3200

We are initiating legal action against this company and the individuals it employs (including [NAME EDIT]) for willfully and knowingly damaging and taking property and/or employing individuals who they knew to have damaged and stolen customer property, as well as violating a number of FMCSA and DoT regulations. We have thousands of dollars in damaged and missing property as well as property of high sentimental value that cannot be replaced. We have been patient with this company and given them ample time to respond to our claim (as well as providing all documentation for our claims that they requested, in some cases twice since they had lost the first submission). Our aim is to prevent this company from preying on consumers and we are willing and able to put forth the financial commitment to see it through.
