This company helped me move to RI. They picked up my things from a storage site in CA and dropped them off at our new house in RI.
My main issues are: 1. They use shady temp people to load and unload.. trucker placed a craigslist ad when he arrived and that attracted the scum of the earth into our home. 2. I discovered about $5k worth of power tools have been stolen out of our things. Not surprisingly, as they use the scum of the earth.
No exaggerations or anger here.. just completely disappointed with their business model and I wish I had used a more reputable company!

STAY AWAY! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO ACCOUTABILY FOR DISHONEST PRACTICES!! The five star reviews here most certainly are not real, but I can assure that the 1 star reviews are very real being that I have had, and am still currently having a negative experience dealing with California Relocation Systems. I should've believed everything that the negative reviews have stated.

On March 4, 2019, I contacted CRS and spoke with Tom regarding moving from California to Maryland. He excitedly provided a quote of only $1916. I asked him at least 3 times over the phone if that is an accurate amount, and he repeatedly assured that I wouldn't be paying over that amount pending that I do not add any large/bulky items like a “PIANO”. LIE NUMBER #1. I paid my deposit and never heard from Tom again, even when I needed his help with the movers. We arranged a pickup date of March 13th, they arrived the next day. The movers loaded the truck, then provided a quote of $3200. Keep in mind that my initial quote included a 4 chair dining room set, which was not even loaded onto the truck. This was substituted by two boxes, which should not have changed my quote by much, especially not by $1300. I immediately attempted to get on the phone with someone at CRS, which is painfully hard to do unless they are trying to make a sale. The lady that I spoke with (can’t remember her name) was extremely rude. She kept explaining that “my items aren’t a perfect square” so they take up more space than initially quoted. She even had the audacity to tell me that I should’ve known the quote wouldn’t be accurate, even though it is their software that spits out these phony quotes and the salesperson is assuring that it is accurate. After going back and forth with her for about 30 minutes, she finally put someone else on the phone who was able to reduce that amount to $2600. I was still upset at such an inaccurate quote, but at this point my stuff was on the truck and I had to relocate in the next 2 days. I spoke with Dawn to set my First Available Delivery Date at April 17th, due to me being out of the country for 3 weeks. I understood that there is a lag in delivery from the available delivery date to the actual delivery date. They claim that long distant moves can take 3-21 business days. LIE NUMBER #2. It is now May 15, 2019 (20th business day) and I have no idea where my things are. The only way I can seem to reach Dawn “Customer service” is via email. I have had to email her on numerous occasions to get a status. All she has been able to tell me is that “the warehouse hasn’t called her back and she will follow up with me later.” LIE NUMBER #3. She never follows up, and I am having to keep reaching out to her to find out why I still don’t have my things a whole month later. I can only look forward to not having my things for another few weeks, and they will probably arrive broken and damaged like everyone else’s has. SAVE THE HEADACHE AND STAY AWAY FROM CALIFORNIA RELOCATION SYSTEMS! FAKE REVIEWS! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! NO ACCOUNTABILITY!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2600

I met with the movers at my storage unit, they loaded the truck completely then came to my car and handed me a form to sign - the form indicated that the price I agreed to of $4800 door to door was being changed to over $12,000!!

I told them absolutely not, and spent close to 2 hours arguing with them, and dispatch on the phone.

I finally told them to unload the truck and put everything back in my storage unit.

At this point they agreed to only charge $700.00 more because I had an extra sofa and chair at my nearby house I needed them to get. I agreed.

We got to my house they loaded the sofa and chair, and then tried to say that the extra $700. Wasn’t enough, they wanted $2150 more. I refused and again told them to meet me back and the storage unit and unload everything. After another hour I told them I was calling the police. They finally got in their truck and just drove off.

The delivery was supposed to occur within 7 days, after 2 weeks I called (Which was a challenge in itself because the number they gave me went to voice mail and never got answered) and they indicated that my furniture was still sitting in California, they promised it would leave by the end of the week.

I called a week later - same story, at this point I got my attorney involved.

After over a month they said my furniture was finally leaving California. All total it took nearly 5 weeks for the delivery that was promised within 7 days. They said it wasn’t their fault that no one wanted to drive to MT!!

When they arrived at my ranch in Montana they refused to drive down a road that heavy equipment and huge trucks drive down every day - so my men had to hook up 2 trailers and drive 5 miles to the end of the road load the furniture and drive it to our location.

There were 2 broken pieces of furniture - we are going through everything today to confirm we have everything that is ours.

I think the only reason I got my furniture is I got my attorney involved and started writing bad reviews which they told me they wanted me to take down.

These people are con artists and Bullies!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4800

Pack up date got moved several times, movers showed up late (around 8 pm). I moved out of Los Angeles March 7, and moved to Rhode Island - It is the middle of June and my stuff "still isn't loaded and it will be 5-7 days to get my stuff once it does get loaded." I requested on May 20 to have it shipped so I could have it at my apartment June 3. It's June 14 and it will be late June at the earliest before my stuff arrives. I would love to have the service provided that we paid for. Thanks!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3200

We are initiating legal action against this company and the individuals it employs (including [NAME EDIT]) for willfully and knowingly damaging and taking property and/or employing individuals who they knew to have damaged and stolen customer property, as well as violating a number of FMCSA and DoT regulations. We have thousands of dollars in damaged and missing property as well as property of high sentimental value that cannot be replaced. We have been patient with this company and given them ample time to respond to our claim (as well as providing all documentation for our claims that they requested, in some cases twice since they had lost the first submission). Our aim is to prevent this company from preying on consumers and we are willing and able to put forth the financial commitment to see it through.

We are currently gathering as much information from as many victims as possible so we can deliver a case that is inclusive of just how predatory this company is with the aim of preventing this type of behavior from this and other companies.

California Relocation Systems:
After hello, their every word is a lie. They quote the move, then double the charge AFTER your stuff is loaded ! Next, they hold your stuff in storage searching for someone to make the delivery. In my case, it took over 2 full weeks to deliver a 6 hour relocation. They hide behind contract clauses, “so-called” DOT regs and a ready assortment of excuses to cover their fraudulent ways - and they lie so freely, truly amazing. True to form, when my stuff finally arrived, here comes the missing & the damage. Any positive review is most certainly bogus. Run from these lying thieves. If ever a business deserved to be shut down - it is this one ! They are the very definition of mover fraud described on the FMCSA website.

I loved my experience with California Relocation Systems! They were very professional and knowledgeable regarding long distance moves. They take all the necessary precautions needed when performing a long distance move.

They carried out my move meticulously by keeping my things protected during the entirety of the move. Thankfully, my things arrived intact and I didn’t have to worry about anything going missing because the movers were really accountable. They were pleasant to deal with regarding any questions I had. Working with a group of professionals was a serious blessing!

Compared to the last moving company I used, these guys are studs! They were able to professionally orchestrate my long distance move from LA County to St. Louis. If you’re thinking of hiring this company, but don’t know what to expect,

I’m here to tell you that you can expect great things from them! They exhibit quality moving traits during each phase of the move and it never falters, which is extremely important! I recommend them if you’re planning a move out of California.

I want to thank California Relocation Systems for giving me peace of mind during this moving process. They presented all the information I needed upfront, so there were no surprises later on in the move. The contract outlined exactly how much I’d be paying, how my belongings are insured, and when they would be dropped off to my new home. They did not fall short of the expectations they established in their own contract, which is a positive sign that they are a great company. I would strongly recommend this company for your next move!

This was a brilliant moving service that was reliable, professional and completely in tune with what we were looking for. Most moving companies lack empathy and that’s what I consider a flaw right away. The Cali Relocation team was very empathetic and personable.

Because of this, they were much more understanding and worked towards satisfying our criteria throughout our move. Please do yourself s favor and go with these cross country movers simply because they care enough to communicate regularly and deliver your things in the timeframe they promise and without any damages!

I had reserved for them to come move my house from California to Arizona. I was expecting a slight change in the cost but when they arrived they over doubled my quote. On top of that the original time they were suppose to arrive was 11am - 3pm. Then it got pushed from 4-6. After 6 when I still hadn't heard anything I finally called and they said it now wouldn't be until 8 pm! Then when they over doubled the cost I told them I couldn't afford the new cost and would have to use someone else. Now they refuse to refund my deposit. I knew the cost could change but not by $2,500! They get your deposit and then once they are at your house they up the cost and hope you'll just pay it. Lesson learned! Dawn was so rude! She hung up on me multiple times and had an attitude from the beginning.

I’m Deborah and I recently received my delivery of furniture from the driver Yaisdel and helper Alisha. They both did such great job moving the furniture into a two bedroom house in Montana. They were able to take heavy furniture upstairs which was amazing. Yaisdel kept in contact with me until arrival time. They even set up the furniture that needed to be put together so we wouldn’t have to do so which was also amazing of them. I would like to also say that Jim and dawn also kept me informed with all the details of the delivery which made me feel much comfortable with California relocation. I would much recommend this company to my friends and family and others. Thank you so much making this move easy for me.

This company cracked the moving code! I honestly felt like they were completely in tune with our needs and made sure to keep our things fully protected throughout the entire move. Most movers I’ve heard stories about do not properly secure their customers things, so this was already s good sign from California Relocation Systems.

Their communication is the next thing I can point out. It was consistent! Never had an issue getting a question answered or confirming a general timeline of delivery. This was a well executed move, where we received our belongings without any hidden fees or gimmicks.

Wonderful experience with California Relocation Systems. They agreed to move us last minute from our home in San Jose to Pittsburgh. The move went incredibly smoothly. It was organized and the movers were careful. All of our things were handled with respect and diligence. The pick up and drop off times were performed in the proper timeframe. We just received our things today, exactly as planned. This is a moving company that can not only plan out your move seamlessly, but they can also make sure all of your belongings arrive unscathed. Impressive!
