AnyVan

I used Anyvan in June 2015 to move a large kitchen table and some other furniture from N Worcs to my daughter & son-in-law in Milton Keynes. At first, everything seemed fine as the quote was good and the mover (cericeri aka Ceri aka Gary) arrived promptly as promised to collect the furniture. However, the mover turned up without any help and looked as if he might have dragged the table across the ground to get it to the van. Then, afterwards, my son-in-law reported that the table had "a few new long scratches and some fraying to the edge .. there seemed to be a bit of dragging" I passed this on to Ceri and, at his request, provided photographs too. I also agreed a a reasonable compromise with him to supply a small tin of good quality wax polish like Briwax to avoid any ongoing dispute. There then followed delays, excuses, promises to turn up with the agreed tin of polish that never materialised, and now a complete lack of any communication whatsoever despite numerous reminders - and it's now October. Anyvan have been no help, and have refused to take any responsibility for suppliers, so I will never use them again.

If you are indifferent to agreed pick-up times, happy to deal with a rude driver, and content not to be able to reach Any Van Customer services, then this is surely the company for you. My courier service had to be achieved on a certain day, but it was clear that the driver had taken on too much previously and would not arrive until the early hours of the following day. This was not convenient for the lady from whom the item was to be collected (ill, a cancer victim, about to go on holiday the next day). So my object for collection, bought and paid for on eBay, will probably now be written off. DO NOT CONSIDER FOR A MOMENT USING THSE PEOPLE.

I made order to remove 2 fridges and a cabinet on 05/07/2017. But their staff sent wrong order to driver. Therefore driver refused to return goods. I asked Anyvan to refund my money but they refused to refund. So I decided to take action and asked them to send an email mentioning that why you cannot make refund. Now 2 weeks passed. They did not send any emails. Very cheating.. why cannot they send email? Now Citizens Advice directed me to small claims and Trading Standards. I won't allow anyone to cheat me.

Any Van use contractors, if you’re lucky you get a good one we didn’t!. They rushed & dropped two of our items. Never took any care with removals just desperate to finish. They told us they broke the hall light in the new house and we noted they’d ripped our mattress after they’d left so took a picture & tried to claim from any van. The contractor then blatantly lied & said they took the pic of the damage before they moved it & sent it to us!!. We have proof we took the photo and when. Any Van mis sold us their basic insurance without making clear it didn’t cover breakages, which is the main cover needed, though it does cover theft & lightening!. We’re now trying to claim on the contractors goods in transit insurance though we already know they are liars so don’t hold out much hope. This made a very stressful house move far worse.

When your using anyvan as a customer please get a second opinion from driver in relation to what Anyvan put in their statement to you. Anyvan makes it look like the driver is getting some if not all of the deposit that they quote when in reality they keep the whole amount leaving the driver to quote as low as possible. Nick O'Leary has endorsed this method to create a wealth for nothing for Anyvan whilst the driver does all the hard work for peanuts. My recommendation is that you avoid this bogus website and look on facebook fer better LOWER FAIR deals.

This company have no concern for customers. I have been let down twice by them for one simple job - of collection and delivery of a butchers bike. I went on their site chose my day paid the price, and arranged for the person at the collection end to wait in for Anyvan. Both myself and the seller of the bike waited in all day from 8am - 6pm and no collection was made. It was down to several calls on my part to find out that the diver couldn't make the pick-up. Fast forward to the next arranged day 5 days later and a call the day before to say AGAIN that there would be no driver. Their attitude is harsh, like they just don't care, they just want your money. They take your money and your time in advance and play you like a fool. So a whole week after I first booked collection and paid the cost I still do not have my item. I had to ask for a refund which I was told would take up to 78hrs to show in my account. I couldn't even talk to a manager. I will never use Anyvan again and I strongly advise others to think twice before using this very ugly company. NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

Following their advice I booked a Friday pickup and a Saturday delivery to take stuff to my son's house that he hadn't moved into yet. Friday pickup was OK, on Saturday their driver texted to dsay his van had broken down and he would deliver Sunday, my son texted back saying OK but after 1 pm. there was no response, when my son work up at 9 am on Sunday morning at his current address 5 miles from the new place, he discovered a text from the driver timed at 6 am stating delivery would be between 8 and 10 that morning and was inflexible on the time. I mean who takes text messages at 6 am on a Sunday morning. My son had no option but to divert the delivery to his old address and cough up £40 with another outfit to move it later. All driver communication was by text, their customer care consisted of an online chat service, no resolution, just fobbed me off. Lucky to get one star, Cowboys. You know the old adage if you pay peanuts!!
