Broken TV, open boxes - no compensation.

Most inconvenient service ever!!

The booking process does not highlight or warn users of all the important bits such as:
-When your stuff gets to you. Be careful, you may have to wait an entire day for your stuff to arrive.
-What the "insurance" covers. My TV was damaged during transport, and guess what? No one cares or will do anything about it!
-The Van people will prompt you to negotiate with them for anything they consider is an extra item. So warning: the driver will ask you for a direct payment to him. If you pay, then he'll still break your stuff and you won't get any compensation.

This service is all around terrible. Don't be seduced by the easy booking process! Just look for a man and a van in Gum Tree!

Won’t be using again.

I used AnyVan for the first time to deliver a new sofa I had purchased from a store.
I booked 7 day flexible window Monday-Monday. I was told the driver would collect on Saturday. At 4pm on the Saturday I was contacted by the store to say no one had shown up to collect the sofa, nor had the driver called me or the store to say he wouldn’t collect. I tried to call the driver twice, he never answered so I ended up calling customer services. They said they would try to get hold of the driver and call me back. I never received a call back. On Sunday I decided I would chase them up again and called customer services again, I was told the driver would collect it on Tuesday as the store was closed on Monday. I told them this was unacceptable, I booked for it to be picked up and delivered to me (250 miles away in Scotland) by the Monday and that Tuesday was later than the slot I’d booked. They said they would try to get someone to collect it on Sunday and call me back. Again, no one called me back. On Monday I phoned customer services yet again (each time costing me money on my phone bill as it’s a 0300 number, also shouldn’t have to be chasing up a service that I had paid for particularly when I’d been told by two people they’d call me back) I told them the store had decided to open on Monday. I was told they’d try to get someone to collect it that day but if not then they guaranteed it would be collected at 10am on Tuesday morning. Unsurprisingly I wasn’t called back. Again. I assumed given that two people told me it would be collected on Tuesday that it would be sorted then. It got to Tuesday lunchtime and I spoke to the store who said no one had turned up. So yet again I called customer services and was told there’s ‘no way’ it would be collected on Tuesday and that it would be collected on Wednesday. I expressed my frustration and was told it would be passed to a manager who would contact me once the sofa had been delivered. Not only had AnyVan seriously frustrated me, but also frustrated the store. Finally on Wednesday it was collected and I received the sofa on Thursday (3 days after my initial booking). The sofa arrived in plastic wrapping which had been ripped around the legs, all the legs were twisted and the wrapping had been ripped on top and the back seat cushions pulled out; which were lying loose in the van. After the driver left, taking all paperwork with him, I went to straighten the legs and move the sofa into place when I noticed all the legs were scratched and chipped, the fabric ripped in 4 places and the back frame dented. I was assured by the store it didn’t leave them in this condition and was in brand new condition when it was collected and that the plastic wrapping fully encased the sofa, including all the legs and the back cushions so they just have been removed during transportation. Thankfully I took our fully comprehensive insurance but now I am having to deal with them. I have paid money for a brand new sofa which is damaged and I have no idea what’s going on with it, wether it’s going to be replaced/re upholstered or refunded. What should’ve been a simple delivery has ended up in weeks of absolute hassle and nonsense. I called AnyVan again and said I was waiting in a managers call back to be told that this wasn’t noted down. I eventually spoke to a manager who explained they don’t normally refund the delivery because ‘the job has been completed’ even though it was completed out of the time frame I booked it in. I was given 20% back but still paid £96 basically for someone to damage my new sofa then walk off as if nothing has happened. If I’d chosen another company I can almost guarantee I wouldn’t be sitting on a damaged sofa and could move on with redecoration. However with it being so damaged I feel I am in limbo with regards to finishing off my living room. Not only was my sofa damaged but I feel I received bad customer service. I was told umpteen times I’d be called back, I never was, I was given wrong information and I was the one having to chase them up for answer instead of them contacting me to let me know what was going on with the £115.60 order I had placed. I will not be using AnyVan again.

Got a reply from AnyVan stating issue has been resolved, this is in reference to the measly 20% refund I was given. As said above I’m still £96 down from using AnyVan and not happy with my experience at all.

Incompetent and uncaring.

On moving my piano, it fell over during transit causing severe damage. Response from their Customer Care Department - not our problem - you need to take it up with our sub-contractors. Two months on, I am still waiting for them to settle the repair claim. The attitude of ANYVAN staff is clearly set by the CEO, Angus Elphinstone, who does not bother to respond to customers concerns. Be aware if something goes wrong, you will get no interest from ANYVAN.

Excellent Service!

I booked Anyvan for the first time last weekend to pick up some furniture and was so glad that I did. The driver was friendly and very professional and texted me in advance with a drop off time. He also contacted the seller of the item to arrange pickup and was very punctual. This was far better than having a 3 hour window and enabled me to do other things and not just sit and wait. The price was competitive and it was extremely easy to complete the entire booking online. I highly recommend Anyvan and would not hesitate to use their services again.

Excellent service.

I had 3 big bits of furniture moved from Devon to Liverpool via AnyVan. The driver was in regular contact with both myself and the people he was collecting the furniture off. The weather caused a 1 delay however he kept us all informed as to the disruption and the new expected arrival time. The furniture all arrived and they helped to put it in the right places.
An excellent service and I will be recommending and using again.

Terrible service.

I booked with anyvan due to excellent reviews on trustpilot. Received 2 calls before they booked date to say the driver would be with me around 1400 with a call beforehand with a definite ETA.

On the day I receive a text from the driver at 14.01 to say he has been delayed and would be with me between 16.30-17.00 and would call with an ETA nearer the time. At 16.35 I had not heard from the driver so text to ask when I could expect him to which I got a reply saying he would be at least 1hr 30 more (in a location at least 30 minutes away from my address) but was near my address the following day if that worked for me?

I had booked for a pickup between 08.00-18.00 on my one day off between working day shifts and nights shifts and so the following day was not going to be acceptable.

I was incredibly disappointed with this service and called customer services to see how they were going to deal with this situation. The gentleman who took the call was very pleasant and tried to contact the driver however had no response. I was told I would be called back shortly once they had contacted the driver and he would discuss with his manager regarding what they could do about the inconvenience caused.

I did not hear back shortly from them and had to get back in contact with them. I was told the driver would contact me shortly with a time he would be arriving. I received a short text that said ‘I will be with you this evening’, no time frame given.

Customer services offered to refund me £15 for the inconvenience.

I am very disappointed with the service provided and would not recommend this company.

Booked this company 3 weeks in advance, to be called the day before and told that the driver had pulled out and they needed to find another driver. They also said they couldn't guarantee that the delivery would take place tomorrow as they sometimes work over 2 days. Also note stated at the time of booking. Said they would call me back about a driver and I haven't heard anything. Upon looking online I can see in the reviews this has happened to most people! I wish I looked it up before. I only read the reviews on their website Via Trustpilot which are more than likely rubbish! Have phoned my bank for a full refund and would never ever deal with this company again. BEWARE!!

Avoid this company for moving.

Please think twice before using. They have left me very disappointed with the failed move of my piano. Happy to take the money right away, but due to 'missed information' are refusing to give me my money back. Only options are to accept £200 loss or pay an extra £280 to get the move re-arranged!
Most frustrating thing is it says on the website that if they can't move the item you get your money back - realized they find every excuse in the book rather than admitting their faults.
Don't get lured in my the good reviews, most likely their own input!

Horrible customs survive.

I try to book online and can’t do the payment. Then I call them to make a payment then they said need to pay extra for one men help which it’s free. It’s CHEATING . Afterward I call to customs survive said can I refund that extra £10 . The men said if you think pay through phone is expensive why you need to do. WTFFF is that what customs survive do. Also really unacceptable for the prise. Only two mike and it toke me £61.

Anyvan can be great but when things go wrong you're on your own.

I agree with previous reviews. Understand the limitations and do not think Anyvan will help when things go wrong. Nice people, poor processes for users. They certainly seem to be going the same way as Shiply. A supplier *GER2009 caused thousands of pounds worth of damage. Anyvan called GER2009 A man called MARCIN STEPKOWSKI (actual a scrap recycler and not a remover) which has done nothing and Ive had the supplier screaming at me on the phone and offering £100 for a claim of £2,000. Anyvan say they don't see what they can do. The company GER2009 and Marcin Stepkowski is still on Anyvan site.

Excellent Service from Start to Finish.

I discovered Anyvan via Internet searches and my goodness me I am so pleased I did!
They have a fantastic online tool which was easy to use and straight forward options! I was so pleased as well that they provided insurance in their quote it made such a difference to find a quote that was all inclusive! Plus great communication from their team which really put my mind at rest during a very stressful time!

Anyvan.

We urgently needed some valuable and fragile goods transported from our base in Gloucestershire to central London. The driver was polite and well turned out and his vehicle was spotless. He took care with the goods and they were safely delivered well ahead of schedule to the complete satisfaction of the recipient.
The service was easy to arrange, reasonably priced and ran like clockwork. Vert impressive and highly recommended!

What a Complete Disorganised Shambles!!

This company took my money, did not pick up the bike on correct day! 24 hrs later turned up in a battered old transit, had no straps, blankets or any experience handling motorcycles! Looked on companies house website and there 2.5 million pounds in the red! Contacted the CEO through Linkedin, poor excuses ,appalling customer service. The company is a complete disgrace. Do not use these cowboys. Please check these people out on companies house website. You have been warned.

Very professional and courteous.

We had an excellent experience getting our couch delivered from a shop. The delivery was scheduled for the snowy week at end of February and the staff and drivers did an excellent job keeping us informed and even managed to get the delivery a day early to beat the bad snow. The drivers were very nice and brought the couch around to the back door as it won't fit through the front. No issues at all. The couch, whixhnis a very light fabric, was in perfect condition on arrival. Will definitely use AnyVan again.

Guildford to London.

Booked van and man for a partial move, paid extra for a specific 4hr time slot. 2 days before the move, the company contacted me to ask whether the date I requested for the van was flexible which is strange but that was sorted. On the actual day, my driver didn't show up within the time slot I'd booked for. I was able to contact the driver who told me he had not been updated with my specific time slot, even though I paid extra. Luckily for me, I was next on the list. Contacted customer service regarding this and they refunded me the cost for the time slot. My items were delivered in time and all in one piece. Apart from having to wait longer for the driver to arrive, I have no complaints really.

Recently used Anyvan for our move from Ash, Surrey to Overstrand Norfolk. The on-line chat operators were very helpful and efficient. The two man team arrived at 7:50am, were loaded and left Ash by 9:0am. They arrived Overstrand unloaded, put everything in place for us including our washing machine and were on their way back to base by 1:15pm. They were friendly, efficient, polite, careful and professional, what more could you ask for? well done Anyvan team and a big thank you for helping to make our move a little less stressful.

Collection of french doors bought on ebay.

After much deliberation about how to describe the item to ensure they sent the right vehicle. I rang them had a chat on their website and double checked again then booked for a collection today and paid extra for a time slot between 12 and 6 p.m. The guy turned up to collect at 10 a.m and then decided that his van wasn't big enough for the item even though they knew all the sizes and it was listed on his collection sheet plus they had a description on the Ebay ad. Having phoned the boss Tony he apologised and said it was totally out of order and would make sure the collection took place this afternoon so in good faith I rang the seller apologised and sent through a BACS payment to him, Three hours later the boss rang me to tell me they are not collecting the item and have no other plans to do so and would issue me with a refund. Not one offer to help or compensate even though the seller waited in and wanted the item off site that day and the fact it was in Guildford and I live in Swindon and it measured 3mts x 2mts very difficult to get collected in that short notice. I have since had a good cry about it all but nobody at Anyvan cared about that and now have arranged for someone else to collect tomorrow at a great deal more expense. I just thank goodness that the seller was a very nice person when he understood how upset I was. Their customer service was terrible and they should have gone to another company to shift it and paid whatever the difference was as I wouldn't have know the difference and they wouldn't be getting this review now. My conclusion is if you book they might decide its to difficult and leave you high and dry at the very last minute just great !!

Piano move.

Subcontracted to local firm, to move a piano, to whom they paid half the price charged, according to subcontractor, but the job was not done the as householder selling the piano would not sign a waver in the case of damage to his property. Since removal companies are insured then this should not be necessary; the piano had, according to the property owner, been moved through same doorway by another firm with no problems. There was no refund at all.

Moving.

Good price and good service. The guys arrived on time, and did a dismantling job at no extra cost, they worked hard and fast. I have used AnyVan also with our business and were very pleased with them. Will definitely use them again. But what I didn't like is that you cannot change or edit the booking once its locked online. In this instance it is very rigid system. I prefer more flexible approach. And also changing times of pickup and delivery shouldn't be charged extra.

Communication was not great.

The actual removal of the furniture by the two men was good, however after booking my removal a week befor, I was supposed to get a phone call they day before the removal from the driver. This did not happen and I ended up phoning the customer services and they said there was a problem with a shortage of drivers and would it be possible to reschedule. I said no as I had taken the day off work. They did come back to me eventually that evening and say they had sorted it. On the day I received a text from the driver to say it would bertween 2.30 and 4.30 p.m. but the delivery came at 7.30 P.m. Altogether unsatisfactory communication!

Great service, would definitely recommend.

The easiest way to move by far; coupled with amazing service from my driver who did everything for me (from loading, unloading, and then positioning everything in my new house)!!
Driver showed up well presented, and couldn't do more to help when bringing all my items down two flights of stairs and into the carpark of my old property where he had parked his Anyvan van
Never use a standard moving company again - Anyvan for the win!

Avoid like plague.

Get the removalmen ombudsmen contact details as if you use these jokers you will need it. Held me to ransom over my item and demanded more money as apparently the van they send wasn't big enough for my item. Had stressed that it was a LARGE heavy fish tank multiple times and said it was 5x2x2ft for the tank alone. They turned up took 1 look at it and said it's not a fish tank it's a vivarium and then said they couldn't move it and to ring customer services and they will send a bigger van free of charge. They then jumped in van and went. Rung customer services said the driver had said the job was complete and they had to be paid. I asked for my money back and was told no so I had to either lose the £80 altogether or pay an extra £30. Like a fool I paid the extra but stressed the previous owner was only available that day. Quick as they could they took my money and said we will try get a driver for you but no guarantee. Thing is the driver I had and his wife told me they had already turned down other jobs before mine too while still getting paid for it.. turns out I measured my works van and the tank broken down and laid side by side would have fit in the van comfortably but seems Ian and Terri of Huddersfield pick the easy jobs and avoid ones that involve effort while still getting paid. The working space of the transit is 1700mm wide and the tank side by side would only be 1300mm and that's allowing space for protective packers. Any how back to it. So now I'm £110 down and it gets to 6pm which is when they stop and still no driver so had to hire a man and van and move it in a transit funnily enough.. although any vans members say it wouldn't.. So I rung and said you didn't deliver on what you agreed and then charged me extra for to which they said as I had it moved myself I then owed them more. Now Sunday and they have the cheek to have a driver call me and say I will get the item now. What part of its the only available day did they not understand.. as I say I urge anyone else with problems to get intouch with the ombudsmen and draw attention to how this company operates. It doesn't ask no particular dimensions but they use that to try say it's the customers fault even though you describe the item as large and heavy.. how they operate is disgusting although they are great till they have your money then hold you to ransom to pay more or lose everything.best bit is when the customer services say try what you want you won't get a refund and hang up on you. Totally abysmal company and as I say all other people ripped off with them please contact the ombudsmen as it's not fair practice what they are doing.

AnyVan - Shocking Service.

I listed the items to be moved, they quoted and I accepted the quote - it seemed reasonable. When the driver turned up on the day of removal, he started to load the van and then made it very clear that my TV would not be insured and that he could not take my dining rom table, garden table and wardrobes (all were in the original quote). he was just going to take some of my furniture and leave the rest behind. I had to stop him and have my furniture unloaded. A second trip was an option but AnyVan said I would need to pay again for something I had already paid for. To summarise they had sent too small a van. The job was then cancelled by AnVan and they refused a refund. I then had to find another removal company and am presently trying to get my money back - avoid these people!

Appalling service.

Booked a specific date for a collection. Even though confirmation email stated driver would contact us prior to pick up, wasn’t too concerned he didn’t; I should have been! Not only did driver not complete the pick up as arranged, he was not contactable throughout the day. Raised with Anyvan who, on the face of it, tried to rectify by arranging another date. However when I then decided to cancel (as I no longer had any trust in them) tried to tell me a driver had already been reassigned and for that reason they wouldn’t be giving me a refund. What I find most upsetting is the company’s persistence in telling me I was aware of the reassignment BEFORE I cancelled which is not true. In effect, calling me a liar which I find the most upsetting. What professional and respectful company takes that stance with their customers? Terrible service and lack of customer support; I would never use again and would encourage others not to. I cannot praise the local ‘man with van’ companies enough for trying to help me after being let down by Anyvan. I should have used them in the first place.

Unprofessional scammers.

I had a bespoke kitchen made which needed to be collected by a certain date to avoid storage charges and gave Anyvan all the paperwork directly from the manufacturer: all weights, dimensions,
packaging and numbers of items (which they prepare for all removal services). I also paid Anyvan additional fees to define a morning slot and date for collection. Their man arrived just before
closing 17:00 pm and then refused to take my belongings (I was later told by the men at DeVol that he had his van filled with motorcycles). I was charged over £100.00 for the late storage.
AnyVan tried to blame me but as I had email correspondence with them showing every exact figure, item, dimension and weight which they quoted for they rushed to give me my money back
saying they'd get a driver there in two days time. They then charged me £90.00 more than the original quote. This is an online scamming company that is as unresponsible and unprofessional as you can get. I would never recommend or use them again.
