AnyVan

I used AnyVan after being referred through a friend. All I had to do was enter my removal details and what I needed moving and within minutes I had 10 quotes from different companies to choose from. I ended up calling in about a company EasyMoves and spoke to an incredibly helpful gentleman in the AnyVan office who answered all of the questions I had about the website and the day itself. I ended up booking once he had confirmed with the driver directly that everything I had needed doing was in fact going to happen on the day. I paid the deposit and was instantly sent conformation details of my move and the driver (mobile number and email!). I paid for the rest of the job once it had been completed which I thought was a really good idea as it meant that the job was done effectively and properly (not that I had any doubts). I have seen a review about someone complaining about the deposit going straight to AnyVan, but I would much rather pay that and have a good service with recommended companies than traipse through the yellow pages to use someone I knew nothing about!
All in all a fantastic service and I would not hesitate to use again.

I don't know that I can even give this service one star, as this company have been unable to provide me with any kind of removal service.

The website very much gives the impression that this is a guaranteed service and that your driver will contact you 24 hours before the time slot. You pay an upfront cost. On the day my mattress was meant to get picked up I had to call in order to be informed that no driver had been allocated. This came at huge inconvenience to myself as I was then stuck with a £500 mattress + moving out of my house the next day,

As well as this, if you want to talk to someone on the phone it will take >30 minutes. If you do get through to someone they're frankly not very helpful with appalling customer relation skills.

I have complained directly to the company and yet to hear anything back.
**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY**.

Had a job accepted to move a sofa. Paid just under £200. On the day before delivery was advised that no driver had yet been allocated but that one was being sought so didn't worry too much and took the following day off to wait in.

On the day itself the hours rolled by with no driver allocated whilst being assured they were "doing their best" to find someone. Needless to say this didn't materialise but they only admitted this far too late in the day to make alternative arrangements.

Had used before and found to be a good service but when things go wrong don't expect any customer service.

Having read positive reviews about AnyVan I decided to book and pay online for a removal service for my elderly Grandmother to save her any hassle. Unfortunately the company decided to charge her an extra £60 on the day for moving a chest of drawers instead of a wardrobe - despite there not being any problem with room in the van or lifting the furniture. This caused her distress and confusion, the team were unhelpful and did not offer any way of resolving my complaint. I'd be better off using a local no thrills cash in hand removals firm next time.

I would give zero stars if I could. After being messed around with drivers cancelling at the last minute, and arguing with the new driver via text over whether I really needed a VAN like I ordered, he showed up the next day with a HONDA CIVIC HATCHBACK, which is in no way a VAN. The call centre rep refused to send an actual VAN without charge and wanted me to pay again. He had no intention of assisting me. All he wanted was to rip me off again. He got very uncivil. After long discussion with the call centre, they told the driver to unload the vehicle and leave, and told me that they will not refund for that. The driver left and I had AN HOUR to find another mover. I called the company I previously used, and they provided a van, as I asked. Anyvan made my move super stressful, nightmarish and ripped me off for a service that was not provided.

Beware using their services.

I booked my house move and after having paid the "deposit" to book the driver - I was told he's not available after he admitted to just accepting a job for someone else on the date I requested. He then said I booked a different date (which I'm 100% sure I didn't) and he would put the job back on the site. I then called Anyvan and asked for the correct details as I requested initially. I did ask the driver and staff member if I would get the deposit back on my card fully refunded which they both said it would be no problem. In the end I had to book another moving company and now I'm not able to get my deposit refunded back to my card as promised! They offered me credit - which after my experience I would not want to use Anyvan in the future if they were the last moving company on earth and the cheek of them sending me and email to recommend them to friends and family and win a bottle of champagne! We should start an online campaign against this company and possibly programs like "Fake Britain or Panorama". I am looking into legal advice in my case.
