DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. They are state sanctioned con artists as they are not registered with any regulatory bodies and do not have to give you a refund of your deposit.

I paid £110 DEPOSIT OF the £329 job cost. I cancelled the job less than 24 hours later.. They said they won't give me a deposit back in physical form but would keep the money on thier system! I told them it's due to personal circumstances.. And that I need those money as I have two small children and pregnant. And they point blank refused and said I need to provide proof!

They have no one you can talk to.. No supervisor.. No complaints procedure. I even called trading standards and I was told there is nothing they can do because they wrote it in small print terms and conditions!

You would think that they would tell you such an important information before you make a booking.

I WONT BE GETTING MY MONEY BACK.. IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOURS DONT BOOK WITH ANYVAN ! ALSO READ OTHER FRIGHTENING REVIEWS FROM CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE HAD THE COMPANY has Sent OUT THIEVES AND ROBBERS TO STEAL FROM YOUR HOUSE! And you won't get refund, compensated or anything.

WHY DO I SAY THIS? - because he did not turn up as arranged.

I booked through Anyvan to avoid any hassle and stress !!
Based on good reviews I accepted the bid, paid my deposit, made special recommendations and spoke with the removals directly. The time booked was mid morning 11 am on 28 October. I was told it may get to lunch time as there was another job that morning first thing.
At 1.15pm Removals had not turned up and not answered their phone. NO COMMUNICATION FROM REMOVALS. I had to contact Anyvan who got him to telephone me and he said he had been delayed and would be with me in one hour.
One hour passed, then two, then three, then 4. In between these times I was desperately contacting Anyvan for updates. I was given apologies and told the removals would be with me soon and not to worry. The removals made several excuses - stuck in traffic etc.
The point came where I decided enough was enough and I contacted Anyvan to say I was NOT prepared to be moved in the dark into the night. I was told by Anyvan that I had to contact the removals myself to cancel even though Anyvan agree that the way I had been treated was totally unacceptable.
I sent a text message at 4.55 pm to cancel and guess what the removals telephone me straight away saying they had been messed about by someone else and they were on their way.
Yeh right - like I was told at 1.15 pm. As if I was going to be prepared to be moved in pitch black till all hours.
I was so stressed, upset and emotions running high - my husband and I had taken a full day off work for absolutely nothing. He was waiting at the old house and I was waiting at the new house. I was in a position where I had to find removals to move me the following day which cost me more money. I had to chase up with Anyvan and complete a refund form on line to get my deposit back. I requested a formal complaint and the totally unacceptable matter to be looked into.I RECEIVED A REFUND BUT IHAVE NOT HAD ANY FURTHER CORRESPONDENCE ON THE MATTER - only asking me to review my experience.

My family had to sleep on the floor that night.

What a fantastic service - great guy, friendly, kept in touch - took great care with items - Brilliant service - and very reasonable price - highly recommend anyvan -

Nb had to put £100 in this review as system wouldn't allow me to put just 2 digits - items were moved for £60 - worth every penny -
Haven't used anyvan before, but definitely will in future.

I chose this company because they seemed professional on the internet, they were not the cheapest by a long shot. They make you think as does the driver that your items will be collected and delivered on the "SAME DAY". I chuckled writing that as I will now impart to you. This was a journey for expensive garden furniture to be collected from Bedford and Delivered to Stirlingshire, the drivers job sheet said to collect between 8am and 6pm on a specific date. After numerous calls from myself and from the Bedford address the driver disappeared from being 45 minutes away (at 6PM!!) and turned up UNANNOUNCED at 10.10PM. I had a text from them stating that he took no due care and attention to the furniture and chucked it in the back of the van and left. The company staff all throughout this debacle were less than useless, never returning calls and actually one of them had an outrageously bad attitude as if we were putting her out!! Roll on the day after and after my wife taking ANOTHER DAY OFF WORK to be there for the delivery which was 1pm then changed to 3pm and eventually turned up at 6.50pm because he had more business in Edinburgh!! Its now dark and we cannot inspect the furniture correctly. TAKE MY ADVICE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST AND AT LEAST A "MAN WITH VAN" WILL TAKE MORE CARE AND ARRIVE WHEN PROMISED. THIS COMPANY DID NOTHING TO ASSIST NOTHING!!

Definitely not a 5* service, 0 star service would be generous! Charged £417 on the day after quoting £288. Van arrived 4hrs later than booked. Refused to take things that were mentioned when booking and although they still had space in the van they refused to take some extra boxes that were packed after booking, was asked at booking to give an “estimate” of boxes. Men with van were rude and unreasonable. Ridiculous price for an awful service and was only offered £30 refund today! Avoid this company and arrange with a independent man with a van or hire a van, will save you a lot of money and stress!

Have been trying to arrange a booking with this company for a week ! I have had 4 different qoutes , can never get through to customer service , was told off and patronised by a rude domineering sales man who told me to go elsewhere because I asked questions and changed my inventory list ! I was originally qouted 250 but it ended up at £570 !' Of course I cancelled and am now moving with everything being done for £300! Do not be fooled by this arrogant company !

AVOID! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! We arranged to have a fridge freezer transferred, they arrived at 1pm and didn't drop the fridge off to the new address till 7pm! In the process they damaged our fridge freezer, the driver messaged us to inform us that he'd damaged it. Upon opening the fridge, all the shelves were broken and it was beyond economical repair. Anyvan did not pay for the replacement of our fridge despite them accepting liability and proof of costs. They will be reported to trading standards and I hope no one makes the mistake of hiring them at an already stressful time.

TRANSPORT OF GOODS FROM UK TO PORTUGAL. I required 5x small boxes, less than one half a cubic meter and weighing 65 Kgs to be transported from Hastings UK, to the Silver Coast, near Lisbon Portugal. First estimates from several firms were in access of £200, which were totally non cost effective.  From the Internet I located Anyvan with surprising results and communicated with Dave, who was remarkably helpful.  At first I suspected him to be too good to be true, he was prompt efficient and his quotation was one third of my previous one.  Truthfully, I thought that I was taking a chance in accepting his services.  I was very relieved by the prompt arrival for collection,  together with the courteous and helpful services of the driver Trevor. Having placed my order, I was in constant contact with Dave and was even sent a photograph of my boxes secured and sealed on a pallet, prior to being loaded.  I was informed of the departure date from UK and the arrival date in Portugal.  On the  date of arrival, I was informed by agents in Lisbon of the precise time of delivery to my home in Foz do Arelha.  My boxes arrived on time, still sealed on their pallet.  The driver assisted me with carrying the goods into my home. I cannot speak highly enough of the speed and efficiency the transportation of my goods, in fact I have placed a further order for a 40inch Tv plus other fragile items to be transported to Portugal.
