Paid a deposit but cancelled an hour later. But they wouldn't refund my £90.00p. I checked to see whether the driver had lost any money but he assured me that he didn't. Very unfair way to trade, taking money while not earning it. Scammers!! Can anyone out there help me spend this £90.00P credit?? I wanted to transport my Citroen car that I bought at an auction. That was another mistake because you are not given the chance to test the car by driving it before. I am trying to use up the 380 word on this and it's not proving very easy. Agnes.

This company should be given a wide birth.
Needed a car moving on saturday so I booked in on tuesday. Was told that's not a problem.
They then rang me on the thursday to get some more details to give to the driver.
Now I looked at the conformation email and it said I should receive comms from the driver 36hours before the job so when friday came about 16:30 and I hadn't heard from them I decided to email. A phone call came later saying that they didn't have a driver and had to cancel tomorrows agreed move. Now im out of pocket as the engine will have to be stored at the garage until I can arrange something else with someone else as I can't stand dealing with liars.
tomorrows the only day I could do and at this time I cannot arrange anything else
as mentioned above if you really need something moving use someone else. Theres cheaper companies.
I should have realised they weren't honest when it says 'no hidden costs' slots that aren't all day are chargeable and they try sell you more insurance for extra coast.

I was satisfied on day of the removal up to the point when the removal men mentioned "wait time" between finishing the collection and delivery to the new address. It is impossible to know exactly when it will be able to pick keys to a new property and unfortunately there were delays in the chain for my move and I did not get the keys until late afternoon. FYI ANYVAN charge £48 per man per hour for wait time between collection and drop off - for me this meant an additional £264 charge which doubled the quote. Wait time was never mentioned at time of quote or by any of the staff I talked to. The Ts & Cs state they wish to be "transparent" but the clause I was directed to for this issue (2.5) is very vague so please be sure you ask about wait time and what it entails if you decide to use ANYVAN so that you don't book the collection too soon and can budget for that. FYI mine was a relatively small move and maisonette is not in the dropdown menu for "moving size" in this review sheet I moved from a 2 bed garden maisonette (no white goods, no wardrobes or bedsteads or chest of drawers or display cabinets) . ANYVAN should include wait time specifically in their T&Cs since waiting for keys to be available down the chain is usual practice and an "unknown" on moving dates. I challenge anyone to read the T&Cs and understand the potential charge for wait time and there is no charge rate given for "additional" costs either. It is not acceptable that clients are not made aware of additional charges - I was advised verbally on the day of removal only.
As I say the removal men did their job and I was happy in that respect. Just remember to ask about wait time when booking ANYVAN for a removal. The cost listed includes the £264 wait time.

Like everyone else , mover accepted the quote, then the day before we were moving called up and demanded more money or wouldn't do my house move, which was only the large items in the house, and worked out around 1 luton vans worth, which had only 6 miles to move.
When I refused to pay it, he accused me of shouting at him and saying he won't be spoken to like that! Never happened !
I then called any van who offered to re list it and get a new mover, and the same driver again accepts the quote !
By this point I am fuming I don't want this lunatic anywhere near my furniture , who would trust someone like that ? And want them to move them ? So I spent a further 2 weeks trying to get deposit back threatening them with trade and standards and rendered a Luton and moved ourselves !
Used the previous move and the previous movers demanded money in the day to, hense to say they never got it either ! Never again, absolute con men looking to rob innocent people them drivers, don't bother !

I have used Anyvan before which is why I came back as it has always been a useful and good service. For this job they got me five quotes to move two pieces of furniture which were all very competitive. There was a problem with the me accepting the quote I wanted and then I accepted another one by mistake. The lady on the end of the phone was very helpful and sorted everything out. The company that completed the work were very respectful and cared about the furniture being moved. There is a lot of history behind one of the pieces. I will certainly use this company again. IT cost me £59 in total not bad.

I used anyvan for a move travelling a fairly large distance (Edinburgh/Glasgow area to Yorkshire). The move went great and the removal company were very professional. I used a company that had over 700 reviews and anyvan are very good at getting you a quote at very little effort and no haggling required. It does have some downsides, there are some bad companies on the site so be careful and I believe anyvan can do a better job of removing these companies.I used anyvan twice, firstly the removal company didn't turn up & 2nd time the removal company were amazing.

I have however given 5 stars as anyvan deserve a high rating then they currently have; they can really get you a great deal due to their bidding program.

BEWARE of booking Anyvan for a long haul delivery.
My son was moving his things from Edinburgh to Cheshire. The initial driver failed to turn up and his phone was switched off. The 'so called replacement' driver promised to come the following day but kept changing his story of when he would arrive. He then turned abusive using language I cannot repeat here. Even if he had turned up he would not guarantee the day, YES DAY that my son's things would arrive in Cheshire!!
Anyvan's customer service was very apologetic but are at the mercy of the drivers who obviously call all the shots. They offered to refund the deposit but made no gesture for the inconvenience caused.
In the end my son and husband had to drive up ((9 hour round trip) to collect the stuff and there were all sorts of unwanted 'knock on' effects such as inconveniencing flatmates in Edinburgh and a new tenant moving in etc etc not to mention the stress and hassle caused.
