Booked to remove small amount of property from OLDHAM to Exeter.Thought every ting was fine booked date.Inwanted a collection of about 10 am.I advised Inwanted this time as I had to travel 90 miles to get to the property.Agent suggested 10 to 11 but would be extra cost to the slot offered on line of £315.She said it was now £332. I got the confirmation and saw a That they had given a collection time of between 8am and 6 pm.I would never agreed to this timing as the departure property is empty.I telephoned to advise of the mistake and was told I would receive a call after they had spoken to their agent.
I received a call to say that the manager had listened to the telephone call and that no mention of 10 am or 11 am had been recorded.I asked to speak to the manager but she was not available.I said to get the manager to re listen to the call but was told that the result would probably be the same.I told the caller to cancel my order and refund immediately I would give no stars.

Paid for a premium service but received the opposite!
Not only was the van late almost 2 hours, the driver tried to coerce additional cash from me due to # of boxes and when I refused they became irritated and aggressive. After packing only 2/3 of my belongings into the van, without notice they simply packed up and left leaving my belongings on the street. I had to organise a 2nd emergency removalist the following day at my expense.
I complained to AnyVan however no responsibility is being taken as the driver was a subcontractor of an outsourced agent leaving me to raise the matter further with the ombudsman
Avoid AnyVan!!

My entire experience from start to finish was a disaster. I was charged cash in hand on top of the removal cost. I was hit on very inappropriately by the removal man who quite forcefully kept insisting he had my number and wanted to come back and help me after as I was a young single mum.. He certainly wasn't being charitable. Additionally I have ended up with a smashed television, broken lamps, cracked drawers and bedside tables, and now anyvan aren't taking responsibility and compensating me despite claiming their insurance policy.

I am currently in the process of taking this up with the ombudsman as after 3 weeks of investigation, I have been left with broken items and out of pocket.

Stick to the more legit firms who use proper removal firms rather than these who source anybodies for their removal service.

Due to a booking earlier this week, a job that was quite frankly unworkable I have been left to sort out a dreadful problem caused by AnyVan. Their CEO has refused to assist me in the financial recovery of this expensive job. The whole problem has occurred due to greed. Their staff booked a group of three men to pick up and bring back a kitchen from hundreds of miles away and bring it back the same day. The Lead driver was so exhausted that he fell in to arms and cried. I have MS and this expensive job has caused me further damage to my condition. It is my duty to report this to the Dept of Transport as there is a serious Health and Safety issue. I will ensure this company is fully investigated.

If there was an option for zero then they'd get zero. Paid for a collection online only to be cancelled with less than 24 hours notice as they couldn't get a driver, rebooked for the week after. The driver then contacts me in between and throws dates around, ignoring the fact I'd said these certain dates were a no go for me as I work. The booking for the week after was then cancelled again with less than 24 hours notice with the same excuse. Awful company, avoid.

As a previous transport provider for Anyvan please be aware they have changed everything. You used to be able to place a job and get quotes where you read feedback and choose your provider BUT you have to pay Anyvan a large percentage “deposit” first. This option is still available but now they have a new preferred system. You PAY IN FULL a price decided by them and they allocate your job to a provider of their choosing, you have no choice who moves your items, if this provider doesn’t want the job, it goes onto their main site for other providers to book the job based on a price determined by Anyvan, again you have no choice as to who carries out your move. They take such a large “cut” that jobs for example like moving a chest of draws 20miles down the road would have cost you previously approx £30 to the provider and £20 to Anyvan it is now more like £15 to the provider and £50 to Anyvan. That is if you are lucky to get your job completed at all as most providers are now unwilling to accept the “book it now” jobs because it isn’t worth the fuel or time to do it! Providers are banned from giving out their business cards or promoting their own business in any way. If you still wish to use Anyvan please don’t pay in full, list your job asking for quotes and ALWAYS read the providers feedback.

They don't allow a minus score here - if they did I'd use it. Unfortunately, you have to put one star to register a review..they don't deserve even that.

I booked their service, and checked with them the day before my move that they had everything in hand, as I smelled a rat. They said it was all sorted.

They sub-contracted to another company who turned up on the morning of my move with a truck 25% of the size I needed. There then ensued a to-ing and fro-ing between them & their sub-contractor about who's fault it was, with each blaming the other. Eventually, it became clear that AnyVan's website is unfit for purpose in assessing the amount of stuff needed to be moved .. eventually the argument culminated in AnyVan declaring that the whole situation was too difficult for them, and they wanted to wipe their hands of the whole thing, cancel the contract and return my money - leaving me with 3 hours to move AND NO REMOVAL TRUCK!! It cost me a fortune, untold stress and worry for my family.

To make matters worse, they tried to lose my.complaint afterward, refused to give me the name of their CEO + generally made every effort to squirm out of their responsibilities - and the matter is still on-going.

The moral: find a local company who will come and assess what you have & turn up on the most stressful day of your life with the right equipment. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!

WARNING: Booked house move with anyvan with collection between 9-10am.
By 1005 no one had arrived so I called them to find out when the driver would arrive, only to be told they had no driver!! We have to vacate the house this weekend and now, no removal company!! I had confirmation of the booking and arrival time and anyvan had my contact details. So why not contact me? So use this useless company at your peril - totally unprofessional with little concern about the impact on thier customers
if they breach the contract. Luckily I have managed to find another company (local) who told me they had previously had to bail out other anyvan customers! Your choise, your risk!

A big Warning if considering Anyvan.com
If you are moving furniture or items long distance your items are likely to be part of several loads that particular driver is doing that day and they will be loaded with other people's goods.
In itself this is not a problem but it significantly increases the chance that something can go wrong
Your goods are extremely unlikely to be collected then delivered by the shortest route. Because drivers have a schedule they seem to stick to ridiculously tightly and they will load as much aspossible you are likely to see yout tracked items going from Maidstone down to Brighton to Reading to London then Nottingham to Penrith to Glasgow to Motherwell to Edinburgh when the obvious route is just onto the M25,A1 and Edinburgh.
They are also likely to be unloaded from one van, stored and then loaded onto another van with yet more peoples goods.
Again, in itself these do not make Anyvan rubbish but they also increase the chances of something going wrong.
The drivers seem to be outsourced to another company reducing the control you or Anyvan have over them.

The drivers are in my experience not that intelligent, by chance happen to be not so conversant in english and in one part of my experience deviously attempted to clak that they had delivered everything when one rather large piece of furniture had manifestly not been

Their customer service callcentre are not much use and try to fob you off into negotiating with the drivers as to when your stolen items can be returned rather than chasing it up themselves and making serious efforts to push them to put something right.
For example when a large piece in my order had been delivered to a house in the east midlands they were happy to believethe driver was going to the door and not finding anyone in-as though that on its ownwas sufficiently serious attempts to retrieve something all the calamitous nature of their delivery made practically inevitable ( something going "missing").
It took a lot of phoning, several times being "accidentally" cut off and then no call being answered for ages and a crime report to the Metropolitan Police (their main office is in London) before they got their act together and started taking the need to do something seriously.
So would I use them again.
Absolutely Not. Do not touch them unless you are content for things to go missing and you have to make all the effort to get them back.
A seriously poor service and a threat to the security and undamaged condition of your goods and a customer service which is shamelessly mendacious. At the last minute they will also try to change your order with some rubbish about their driver having "viehicle problems" when they just don't fancy taking the job
Disgraceful company.
