Having posted the horrendous experience of having used anyvan.com on Trustpilot website, now see that anyvan.com have responded with a tissue of lies to cover their own back, saying that their driver had broken down and that they had sent another driver to collect and deliver. Total fabrication! How can a company be prepared to LIE on a PUBLIC FORUM, just goes to show how awful they are. Anyvan.com did NOT pick up the items that they were booked and paid to collect. Anyvan.com CANCELLED the pickup only 30 minutes before they were due to be there to collect! They are total liars. We had to personally hire a van ourselves and collect the items ourselves the next day due to Anyvan.com cancelling the booked job with them. Utterly useless company. Avoid like the plague unless of course you enjoy stress, disappointment and lies. Crap firm that lies to their customer and a total let down. will never ever use them again. Don't deserve the price of a postage stamp let alone the price they charge for non-existent delivery service!

I used Any Van to move a sofa from Derby to London . I used the flexible option thinking that it meant sofa would be picked up and delivered same day just with the flexibility from 14th-16th May Flexible actually meant they picked sofa up 1 day ,kept for two nights in a warehouse and delivered 2 days later. I would advise anyone to be wary of using flexible and to go for the specific day option. The service apart from that was excellent the delivery driver was the most polite I have had from a delivery driver .Sofa did arrive in one.piece . Would use aagin but not the flexible option.

First time I had used this company to collect and deliver an oak table to me which I had purchased .. never again! Driver never showed up to collect the item, despite us having phoned him earlier and said he would be there to pick it up at 3pm. Had a call at 3.45 to say sorry they could not make it today after all due to extremely delayed previous job, although they made no mention of this when I spoke to them earlier. This was on the Thursday and I needed the table they were picking up for the Saturday. At considerable extra expense I had to arrange a private removals firm to pick the table up at short notice. The AnyVan driver did offer (through his partner/wife who made all the phone calls on his behalf) to do the job on the Sunday but by then it would have been too later and I had lost all confidence in them anyway. I have yet to receive my refunded money from AV and they made no offer of any compensation for the extra money it had cost me. Terrible service, DO NOT USE!

My Mother and Father in Law just had the worst service from AnyVan!
I recommended AnyVan to them and I feel embarrassed that I ever did. They sold their property so they had to move out on a specific day and this was then arranged with AnyVan more than a month prior to this date. The night before the big move AnyVan told them that they can't help them anymore due to a shortage of drivers. They are both in their seventies and felt very stressed and vulnerable and when they asked to speak to a manager, they just said that the manager won't be able to assist as he will just tell them the same thing. They were left feeling so Angry with the lack of communication and with their resistance to deal with their complaint. An absolute Joke of a company to do this and they should really be ashamed of themselves to do this to such a lovely old couple at the last minute. Stay Far Away will be my advice to anyone! Thanks to M&P REMOVALS who saved the day!!

We paid extra to have the vehicle collected in the morning. This didn't happen. The first contact we had from the driver was late morning to say that they were stuck in traffic. As the day went on the ETA got later and later and the lies we were being told got more and more complex. In the end the vehicle wasn't collected until nearly 6pm. At various points throughout the day we were told that it wouldn't be collected at all. Absolutely unacceptable service! We put our trust in Any-van to help us get vehicles delivered to a trade show in Birmingham. At times we thought a £30,000 trade show wasn't going to take place because our main exhibit (the vehicles) were stranded. Their failure to deliver the service we booked put massive stress on various members of our team and no-one at Any-van took responsibility in the situation. This was just one of two collections you messed up in the same day. Get a grip! The service they're offering isn't a service at all. This business is a sham!

Most inconvenient service ever!!

The booking process does not highlight or warn users of all the important bits such as:
-When your stuff gets to you. Be careful, you may have to wait an entire day for your stuff to arrive.
-What the "insurance" covers. My TV was damaged during transport, and guess what? No one cares or will do anything about it!
-The Van people will prompt you to negotiate with them for anything they consider is an extra item. So warning: the driver will ask you for a direct payment to him. If you pay, then he'll still break your stuff and you won't get any compensation.

This service is all around terrible. Don't be seduced by the easy booking process! Just look for a man and a van in Gum Tree!

I used AnyVan for the first time to deliver a new sofa I had purchased from a store.
I booked 7 day flexible window Monday-Monday. I was told the driver would collect on Saturday. At 4pm on the Saturday I was contacted by the store to say no one had shown up to collect the sofa, nor had the driver called me or the store to say he wouldn’t collect. I tried to call the driver twice, he never answered so I ended up calling customer services. They said they would try to get hold of the driver and call me back. I never received a call back. On Sunday I decided I would chase them up again and called customer services again, I was told the driver would collect it on Tuesday as the store was closed on Monday. I told them this was unacceptable, I booked for it to be picked up and delivered to me (250 miles away in Scotland) by the Monday and that Tuesday was later than the slot I’d booked. They said they would try to get someone to collect it on Sunday and call me back. Again, no one called me back. On Monday I phoned customer services yet again (each time costing me money on my phone bill as it’s a 0300 number, also shouldn’t have to be chasing up a service that I had paid for particularly when I’d been told by two people they’d call me back) I told them the store had decided to open on Monday. I was told they’d try to get someone to collect it that day but if not then they guaranteed it would be collected at 10am on Tuesday morning. Unsurprisingly I wasn’t called back. Again. I assumed given that two people told me it would be collected on Tuesday that it would be sorted then. It got to Tuesday lunchtime and I spoke to the store who said no one had turned up. So yet again I called customer services and was told there’s ‘no way’ it would be collected on Tuesday and that it would be collected on Wednesday. I expressed my frustration and was told it would be passed to a manager who would contact me once the sofa had been delivered. Not only had AnyVan seriously frustrated me, but also frustrated the store. Finally on Wednesday it was collected and I received the sofa on Thursday (3 days after my initial booking). The sofa arrived in plastic wrapping which had been ripped around the legs, all the legs were twisted and the wrapping had been ripped on top and the back seat cushions pulled out; which were lying loose in the van. After the driver left, taking all paperwork with him, I went to straighten the legs and move the sofa into place when I noticed all the legs were scratched and chipped, the fabric ripped in 4 places and the back frame dented. I was assured by the store it didn’t leave them in this condition and was in brand new condition when it was collected and that the plastic wrapping fully encased the sofa, including all the legs and the back cushions so they just have been removed during transportation. Thankfully I took our fully comprehensive insurance but now I am having to deal with them. I have paid money for a brand new sofa which is damaged and I have no idea what’s going on with it, wether it’s going to be replaced/re upholstered or refunded. What should’ve been a simple delivery has ended up in weeks of absolute hassle and nonsense. I called AnyVan again and said I was waiting in a managers call back to be told that this wasn’t noted down. I eventually spoke to a manager who explained they don’t normally refund the delivery because ‘the job has been completed’ even though it was completed out of the time frame I booked it in. I was given 20% back but still paid £96 basically for someone to damage my new sofa then walk off as if nothing has happened. If I’d chosen another company I can almost guarantee I wouldn’t be sitting on a damaged sofa and could move on with redecoration. However with it being so damaged I feel I am in limbo with regards to finishing off my living room. Not only was my sofa damaged but I feel I received bad customer service. I was told umpteen times I’d be called back, I never was, I was given wrong information and I was the one having to chase them up for answer instead of them contacting me to let me know what was going on with the £115.60 order I had placed. I will not be using AnyVan again.

Got a reply from AnyVan stating issue has been resolved, this is in reference to the measly 20% refund I was given. As said above I’m still £96 down from using AnyVan and not happy with my experience at all.
