Very helpful and courteous.

The guys from All My Sons did an excellent job! They took extra care wrapping my furniture and getting things in place. They even carried a dresser I was giving to neighbor to her. The washer and dryer were a struggle due to the door entrance size to the laundry room; they picked it up over the bathroom counter to be able to squeeze into the laundry room. It was amazing. And they were funny and had a positive attitude the entire time. Moving was actually a fun and efficient experience.

Bad moving company.

I had All My Sons move my belongings on February 9 to a storage facility 2 miles from my house. I sold most of my furniture so didn't have much heavy stuff. I was charged $600! They broke the wheels off one of my favorite things. Even after I had told them to take the baskets out before rolling the cart. At storage they rolled the cart down the ramp and broke the wheels right off! This value was about $150. They finally after 2 phone calls emailed me a claim form which I had to print out and use my ink. I sent it in and never heard from them until I called not only once but twice. They said it was in the process. The last time I called Brandon said it is in the process and that I would hear from them by March 14. As of today March 28 nothing. I called today and Brandon was very rude. That is all I ever got out of them! I recommend when you need a moving company to get someone else that will make things right when they break your belongings.

Do not use All My Sons.

Initially seemed so good but ended up being a nightmare. Wish we'd checked reviews first. Found out at last minute quote didn't include boxes. Driver arrived with no pen and had to find him one to sign initial papers. 2 of 4 guys were great and careful. Lead guy/driver was unorganized, slow and wasted time but spent whole time griping at his crew. While crew was unloading 1st load went back to old house and discovered several closets not packed and misc. items in several rooms not packed. We packed the rest up to try and save time. At new location discovered boxes not labeled because driver didn't have a marker. They bashed in a bull nose corner in our newly constructed home and wanted to 'take care of it by sending driver back the next day to fix it because "he is a drywaller". Final bill was much higher than 'worst estimate' quote. Tried to charge us for using all boxes they brought even though not all used because we provided most of our own. Driver repeatedly said he thought they were all used though I told him repeatedly I had seen them stacked at old house. Had to argue with 'owner' at main office and return to old home to get their unused boxes before amount was reduced.

Horrible.

The person who came to give an estimate was a sales person, like a used car sales person. It seemed as though this company would be awesome, and unfortunately I fell for it. He showed a video and stated they were the only licensed movers in our area. (That was lie number one). He assured that his company could get the job done, including moving a hot tub. He stated the company moved hot tubs all the time. We were required to get 3 estimates and this company gave the highest cost to move our 2500 square foot house to another the same size 280 miles away. We went with them because the "sales person" told some good lies. He said they would have 7 movers and 2-26 foot trucks at our house at 7 am. He said they would be finished in 5 hours. We packed everything prior to their arrival. The evening before the scheduled move, the operations director, called and confirmed the same thing, 7 guys, 2 trucks, 5 hours. He stated that they would start driving when they were done loading the trucks and drive as far as they could for a 12-14 hour day.
Moving day arrived, they were 2 hours late, with 2 movers and 1 truck. The two movers had no idea what they were doing, it was one of thems first day. They said they were just going to start figuring out how to load the truck. They stated there was no another driver for the other truck so they were going to have to load the first one and then drive it back to their office, and pick up the other one truck and bring it back. About an hour later 2 other guys showed up and started packing the truck. About 8 hours later, 3 more movers showed up. The packing of the truck took 11 hours, and there were never 7 movers there. They did not adjust the cost, so we paid for 7 movers. The movers refused to move the hot tub. The manager and sales person conveniently were not available. They also did not adjust the price for that. They were supposed to leave for the new house the next morning at 7 am-we received a call at 10 saying they were on their way.
As they were finishing unloading, one of them brought the final bill. They had added an additional $300 to the bill for supplies-which we had not used. The operation manager stated over the phone we had used the items, so I talked with the actual guys doing the moving, and the one in charge stated we used only tape and plastic wrap. He was able to talk to the operation manager and get that charge removed. When they retuned with the final bill, they had added another $1400. The operation manager stated that the contracted amount was just an estimate, and could go up based on how long it actually took. We argued our case and he did not care. They were rude and unprofessional after they received our business. Once they have your stuff in the truck, you really don't have much leverage, basically if you want your stuff unloaded, you have to pay what they say.
My husband was able to convince the owner of the company that our estimate was for 7 guys, 2 trucks, and included the moving of the hot tub, and that we should be credited for the company not completing the job they were contracted to do. Bottom line, there was no reduction of the contract price of over 5k. The owner did remove the extra $1400, however it was not easy to get him to do the right thing. This was the most painful experience. The sales person and the operation managers are liars and have no clue as to how the guys that are actually moving the stuff work or what they can and can't do. They were not there and still tried to raise our cost twice. They lied about start times, about the second truck being on the way, about how many movers were coming.
The guys that came to move the stuff were very professional and did a great job. One of them was a bit disrespectful, however the others were great. They packed 2-26 foot trucks and only broke 3 glass Pyrex bowls. I will never never again use this company or recommend them to anyone.

All My Sons Moving - GA - Horrible Movers.

Like others who have reviewed, I simply cannot believe how horrible these service was nor express my regrets for not checking out these reviews prior to selecting this company. Having said that, where do I even start. They did not show up until 4:30PM on the day I had to be out. Even prior to that, I had to call them to confirm that they were even coming. Once on their way, the movers got lost and had to call me three separate times for directions and the address again (GPS anyone?). The movers showed up and had no moving pads (claimed some other moving team took theirs) and no tools (simple Allen wrenches were needed to take apart my bed and the mirror off my dresser). As I had already moved all my boxes myself including my tools, I had to run to Home Depot and get tools for them! Their only offered solution was to leave the furniture behind and get it later! They even charged me for the time to Home Depot and back. Once at the new sight they put my bed back together wrong and (it fell apart when I placed a box on it) and there were substantial nicks, scratches, and dents in my mostly new furniture. The move itself had to be one of the easiest ever. It was only furniture from a one bedroom apartment with no appliances, electronics (thank goodness I moved those myself) and no boxes. They charged me $550 and then got mad when I would not give them a tip. This was the craziest, worst customer experience I have ever had and the first time in my life I have been angry enough to write a review. DO NOT USE this merchant. Terrible, terrible experience.

Damaged and not much help.

My air hockey table (that I've had for over 5 years that survived a move across the country with another company) was not wrapped or protected in any way was of course damaged. I got the air hockey table as a Christmas presents years ago. The company wanted me to go to a notary with proof of purchase, when it was purchased, and the price. In return they wouldn't even give me 50% of what it's worth. What they ask for is unrealistic and a waste of time.

Long-distance move from Florida to Virginia

Unprofessional Behavior!

This was one of the scariest and most threatening experiences.

Upon meeting the moving crew Friday morning, the lead mover pulled me aside to let me know that they "accept tips". Thinking this was unprofessional and uncalled for, I called the sales rep and was informed that they've had issues with this particular mover and asking for tips.

The truck arrived at the destination 3 hours later than expected. The lead mover kept arguing with me about where items should go. About an hour into unloading the truck, the driver yelled at me that he was hungry and wanted to use my microwave. I informed him that I had ordered pizza which arrived shortly thereafter.

The big shock and scare occurred when they were completed and the truck was empty. The driver presented us with the bill and we paid with a credit card. Then the driver told my brother that I had promised him a tip. (I had left a few minutes earlier to pick up equipment from a store that closed at 3:00 pm).

My brother had approximately 10% of the move cost with him as a tip and he told the driver he had the tip but, before he gave it to him, he would appreciate it if they would take some of the empty wardrobe boxes with them. The driver refused and said this was not part of the deal. My brother said that the box removal was part of the tip. The driver insisted in "seeing the tip". My brother pulled out one of the $100.00 bills and upon seeing this, the driver became totally enraged and began making threats. He grabbed the $100.00 bill from my brothers hand and ran to the truck to "retrieve" something. The other crew quickly threw the boxes into the van. My brother, fearing for his safety, closed the garage door and locked the doors. The van left. We called the police to report the potential threat. We contacted our security department in the community and filed a report to ban this company from coming into our community every again.

I reported the incidents to the moving company, and was told it would be dealt with, but have no assurance that this guy won't be vindictive. Hence, we have hired legal counsel to consider what actions we should take against this moving company.

Moving and storage.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. They had to move some stuff from our our house to an apartment then store the rest. Well, throw the quote out the window, everything was "this was not included" and then to store the rest was going to cost extra and each storage had to be loaded which was more and this kept going. When I finally got my stuff out they charged me to get the units down, unload them, unpack some stuff that was their packing and charged me to stand there and watch the other movers load. This was this biggest rip off and they are the ones that gives movers a bad reputation.

Be Careful If You Use All My Sons Movers.

I moved several weeks ago and was extremely disappointed doing business with All My Sons - Nashville, Tennessee. The primary problem was the unexplained, unexpected costs. They charged me for 4 hours of over time when I wanted to stop and finish the next day. I had to pay time and a half, but no one told me it would be extra. They used packing materials without asking me and these appeared on the bill. We ended up having to finish the next day and they charged me $125 to keep my things overnight. I was told there would be no "fuel" charge or travel time the 2nd day, but there was. My complaint is that no one explained or estimated the costs ahead of time. I did not know until the bill was presented. I would never use this company again, nor would I ever recommend them. I sent 4 complaints and one was answered. They offered a token refund. When I sent a counter offer I never heard from them again. BEWARE of the hidden costs.

What a big disappointment and ripoff.

It took All My Sons (Miami) 7 hours to move my mom from a small one-bedroom apartment to a one-bedroom condo two blocks away. The company charged me $1,000 after sending two unqualified workers to do the job. If it wasn't for my brother, sister and niece who were there to help these people do their job, it would have taken them 12 hours. One of the workers could barely lift any weight. I will never never never again use All My Sons. When I reached out to the owner to express my disappointment, he said he was very happy with his team. I can see why.. the two people made him a lot of money today. Very short-sighted management. He will be out of business soon. Please, don't hire this company unless you want to be ripped off. All My Sons can do that very well.

Very Easy Move.

I selected this company because it was close to RI where I live and their moving quote was less expensive than many other moving companies. My only complaint is that I asked the person who I was first working with to fax an insurance contract to my property manager and that never happened. Otherwise, the movers were there on time and moved me quickly with no damage. They were all very nice and helpful. I would definitely use them again.

Never again.

Our move with All My Sons did not go well. Let's start with the day of the move. Horrible rainy day. I get it. But, I was told movers would be there between 12:00 - 4:00. At 2:00ish, I called to get an ETA and was told that the weather had moved the schedule back, but someone would be there before 4:00. At 3:50 when no one had called or shown up, I called back and was asked to do the move the next day. We could not do that, so I was told that the dispatcher would be out to do the move soon. We made the decision to do the move on Saturday due to the rain and not wanting to ruin our belongings. The lack of communication was disappointing. Had someone called earlier in the day, arrangements may have been made so the move could have been done the next day. No one from the company called me; I had to do the calling. This does not qualify as great customer service.

A move that should have taken 2 1/2 hours took 4 hours. There was no sense of urgency from the crew. They spent a lot of time wrapping items; about an hour and a half. That seems excessive for four or five wrapped items. They did not have tools. We had to go buy screwdrivers. The Dispatcher assured me this wasn't company policy, so I guess it was negligence on the part of the crew. Either way, it was unprofessional. They did not know the best way to get the furniture down the steps, nor did they investigate to see if there was a better way. There were two entrances to the apartment. The front stairs are much more conducive to taking furniture in and out. (I would have explained that had I been there when they arrived.) A 50-year old man and a 60-year old man helped move that furniture up the two flights of stairs quicker and without damage to walls or furniture. The same cannot be said about the AMS crew. Don't get me wrong - very nice gentlemen, but not seasoned movers. And, we paid the price for that. I called to complain about how slow they were moving, so the dispatcher came out to check. It was amazing how much quicker they were after his visit.

There were three dressers, one TV stand, one mattress and box springs, two-piece sectional, ottoman, two night stands, two bar caddies, small kitchen table and four chairs, an upholstered chair, and a TV to be moved. There truly was not that much to move. The amount of furniture moved would have gone into a truck a fourth of the size of the one that was sent.

I was quoted $350 and paid over $500. I did not get my monies worth. I have an antique cherry dresser that has marks on the top from being bumped down two flights of stairs on a dolly and now has a huge gash down the front from when it fell off of the dolly and hit the railing. Even if it is repaired, the damage will show. It's an antique, and the gash is deep and long. Again, there was no damage to the dresser when it went up the stairs. The very first piece of furniture that was moved into the new house was put down in such a way that it gauged the wall. No apologies from the crew about any of this.

I have communicated this to the sales person and the consumer care person. No response nor an apology from anyone. Again, not very professional.

Bottom line; we expected professionals and a quick move out of a one-bedroom apartment. That is not what we received nor experienced.

Extremely poor/unacceptable moving service.

I called All My Sons to move the heavier items out of our condo as well as a storage unit into a home nearby. Since these guys charge by the hour, I was told it would take less then three hours to complete the job as all we had them move was five dressers, two couches, a chair, a treadmill, an armoire, and a dining room table and china cabinet. The house is only 1.7 miles from both the storage unit and condo, so the drive time was minimal, but this job took a team of three over five hours. They scratched the wood floor. They snagged the carpet in two spots. They placed the armoire in it's spot upside down (yes, upside down). In one instance, when they were carrying an item down the steps, one gentleman dropped it. The other helper said be careful. The comment from the guy that dropped it was, "oh well". Since they charge by the hour, they wrap everything with about an entire roll of plastic wrap and blankets. Protecting the items is great but the pace is slower than turtle speed. Just a miserable, costly experience. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! THEY ARE A TRAINWRECK and your furniture and home will be too if you rely on All My Sons for your move.

Never give an accurate quote. Do not show up with proper equipment and will not return deposit. Great moving experience!

I'm extremely happy with how All My Sons handled our move from the Charleston, SC, area to the Raleigh, NC, area. My husband and I have moved many times, and this wound up being one of the most positive experiences we've ever had. The salesman came to our house to give us a binding estimate that wasn't the cheapest or the highest estimate we got .. but it was what we considered a fair price. We chose All My Sons because they followed up, didn't pressure us, and answered all of our questions in a patient and friendly manner. The owner followed up with a phone call a few days later to make sure there were no unanswered questions. The movers arrived ready to work. They wrapped everything and loaded the truck very carefully to make sure nothing shifted. Another one of the many things I liked was the fact that the lead person was so proud of his work he wanted us to see what he'd done after it was all on the truck. Our daughter was at the other end of the move to show them where to put everything. She said they were friendly and did an excellent job of placing all the items. I would definitely use them again!

Horrible Quality Move.

I was recently moved by All My Sons in Las Vegas.  The manager who assisted coordinating the move, Walter, was extremely difficult to deal with - rude and accusatory in his manner and behavior.  I left EXPLICIT instructions with Walter on how to pack the items to be moved and NONE of those instructions were followed.  The quality of the packing was the worst I've ever seen - I have been moved across this country 4 times plus have had experience with interstate moves 3 times and not once did I ever see anything that approached the horrible level of performance executed by All My Sons.  Several items were damaged and the company actually requested that I sign an indemnification excusing them from liability for damage BEFORE I had a chance to inspect my property.  I was threatened by the manager that I would receive NO SERVICE or assistance with making corrections to the outrageously poor job done by the packers unless I signed the indemnification.  The communication I received from Walter was very unprofessional and definitely not customer service oriented.  The movers who packed my property apparently swept books and other items from shelves where they were stored into a wardrobe box - who in their right mind fills a wardrobe box with books?  It actually looks as if the items were just tossed into the boxes.  I received 4 large wardrobe boxes packed in this manner.  I needed a forklift to move the boxes they were so heavy!  In one of the wardrobe boxes, I found rock specimens, books, and other items piled on top of an inkjet printer.  What was strange about this situation is that I had the original box and packing for the printer and had instructed the movers to use that box for the printer.  The packers apparently don't follow instructions, or maybe they just don't know how to read.   Items I specifically requested receive special packing and handling received none of the special packing I requested.  I had numerous framed photographs hanging on the wall that required special care in packing.  All the photographs were jammed together in one mirror box - no padding, paper wrapping, or other protection.  The mirror packing box was crushed and torn and I'm extremely surprised that the contents weren't destroyed.  Each photograph, in its frame has a value of $500-$1500 - the careless treatment of my property is inexcusable.  The replacement value of that one box alone is in excess of $6000!  My personal property is not garbage, but it certainly looked like the packers thought it was.  Household trash gets treated with more respect than my personal possessions received by the packers and movers in this company.  I will never recommend this company to anyone.  This move was paid for by the Federal Government and my recommendation carries significant weight for any personnel moving into or out of the Vegas area.  I am extremely dissatisfied!

Bad movers, stolen items.

The mover make all the ways to steal from you, I lost a router. Luckily I taped all my boxes and lock all the suitcases. Never Use.

Had to use 1 star because no stars was not possible. DO NOT USE! 6.5 hours to move a 1 bedroom apt. across town I whole heartedly would not recommend this company. They are SLOW, took way to long to load and unload. When I called, I was told that they were going DOWN stairs and had three rooms of furniture. I don't know about you but a table and chairs does not make a room full of furniture! nor should it take more than 6 hours to move a one bedroom apartment! And then wanted to charge me almost $800 What a RIP OFF! And you have to pay or they won't unload your stuff. Highway robbery. They claim to be family owned and treat their customers right. Yeah, just try and complain and see what happens. Rude is what you get., The workers , till were expecting a tip!, Here's one, work faster and you might get one. .

Do NOT use this moving company!

I had a move scheduled on the last weekend of the month which I hear is the busiest moving time. When the 3 men arrived they walked in and the "leader" immediately said "This is going to take longer than 4 hrs to move". This before even viewing the house and other rooms. Next, he viewed a front bedroom that I had recently keep a foster dog and her 7 puppies. The room did have a slight "doggie" odor and the "leader" immediately stepped back out of the room and said "Oh, what IS that smell?" I then said, "Well, not that I should need to explain myself to you this is where I recently kept foster dog and her puppies". He then said "That is a health hazard and we can't do this move". No discussion was offered suggesting that they at least do the rest of the house as scheduled and leave that room for me to pull things out of.  The three left the house and sat in their truck in my drive way, so I called the person who scheduled the move and explained what had just happened. He then spoke to the "leader" on the phone, then call me back to say "Well, he is refusing to do the move. Im sorry". No offer to send another crew or anything! II scrambled to find another moving company on such a busy weekend and luckily Buget Movers came through for me and did an awesome job for $50 less an hour! And the move took 3 hrs, NOT over 4 hrs. The bad company doesn't waste your time with them!

Small San Antonio Move.

Movers were great.  Professional, courteous, careful, on time etc.  Small move in San Antonio, Texas - took less than 2 hours.  Said upfront two hour minimum at so much an hour.  No problem there. However, will not use this company again nor refer to others ever soley due to hidden fees not informed of upfront.  Had 2 man team quote for two hour minimum - fine.  Called later and said they needed a three man team and increased the cost.  Two would have been plenty.  Once there then added $38.00 surcharge for who know's what. Then added another hour for "travel" for a total of three hours charge which is horrible  - 50% increase in quote.    Bottom line it cost almost double what they quoted.  Again great guys that moved me but beware of hidden costs.  Felt ripped off. I needed this small job fast but have a huge job in a month.  That business will go to their competitors for sure. They may have picked up a few extra dollars by their gimmicks but will lose a lot more in future business and referrals. $38.00 fee was waived but still the extra guy and the extra hour for travel left a bad taste.  .

All My Sons Moving..HORRIBLE.

They are liars.  They called back to confirm and they moved the move time to the afternoon and raised the price by 20%. When I argued, they refused to do the move.  They argued with me and made it out that somehow I was to blame.  It was my fault for booking late.  They were concerned that I would abuse their drivers or movers or something.  They are liars and cheats and I want everyone to know it!

No customer service, no movers at all.

Customer service setting up the move was friendly and communicative. Even the confirmation call led us to believe it would be a good experience. Moving day came and the three-man crew showed up at the very tail end of the time slot (8-10am). We had discussed the situation at length with dispatch and let them know that the area was an old downtown with small parking spaces. We also informed them that the apartment required a ladder for some aspects of the move (as we had experienced moving in) and they assured us none of this would be an issue. The crew apparently disagreed. After showing them what was to be moved (about 8 pieces of furniture, that's it) and explaining how we recommend they move it (loft area, stairs, etc), they talked it over before letting us know that they'd like to get a smaller truck so parking would be less of an issue. We had no issue with this, as we were in no hurry, and they suggested that it would only take about an hour for them to return. An hour later there was no sign of them. We weren't too concerned at that point, obviously there are complications that arise. Two and a half hours later, however, we began to get concerned. We called dispatch and there was no answer. Called the number he had used to call us -- no answer. Finally, an hour later, a friend called dispatch on our behalf and was able to talk to someone. They said the crew just got caught up with another task and would be at our door in about 45 minutes. You can probably guess where this is going -- 45 minutes came and went with no word. We called again, repeatedly, to no avail. Our friend was once again able to get dispatch on the line, however it was someone in Texas who had no insight into our situation. He promised to have a local dispatcher call us as soon as he could. A half hour later we received a call from a local dispatcher saying the crew would not be returning and refused to assist with our move. He said the crew informed him that they told us this when they left and that they don't have any other sizes of trucks, so it became clear that the "different truck" excuse was simply that -- an excuse to leave. I have no issue with them not wanting to do the move, that's fine. But wasting an entire day of time before informing us of this was awful. We're now in the process of renting a UHaul and calling friends to help out at 5pm. Under no circumstances would I recommend these movers. The inability to contact anyone for support once the crew left is appaling and their customer service skills are lacking in everywhere other than reservations.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!  I was promised the cream of the crop and got the polar opposite.  One of the workers moved my son's dresser from upstairs on a dolly without strapping it.  From the first step of 24, the dresser came tumbling down damaging the wall to the tune of $1,500 and a completely destroyed dresser.  I have not been compensated for either!  Because we closed on the house that week, I had to take a broken dresser with me to my new home over 400 miles away.  The crew manager got into an argument with both my husband and I about how slow they were at packing and blamed me.  Stating that they were only there to move things, when clearly it states two men were there to pack and two were there to load.  ON TOP OF ALL OF THE ABOVE, the same crew member that dropped the dresser, was caught by the POD professional smoking on the side of my POD and leaving cigarette buds all over my property along side of my POD!!  I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!  I have yet to see or hear from a manager after several attempts to have this matter resolved.  DO NOT USE THEM!!  You will be disappointed.

Office management.

I am posting this to warn others of their business practices. This is a copy of the email sent to the Titusville franchise. "I used your company to move 4/16/14 and was contemplating not writing because the moving crew (especially the driver) was good and professional. However, the more I though of how I feel I the estimator's representations were made up/wrong, I am concerned others will also feel they were lied to about your services and pay hourly costs over the competition's costs as I did.       These are the issues off the top of my head:       1. Several items would not fit on the truck so I had to leave them plus one very large desk I decided the night before not to move. Therefore the truck would have been about 5 feet short with the left items and the desk if I took it.   2. The estimated weight was 6,000 lbs. The items were bulky but not nearly 6,000 pounds. I am not sure if that bad estimate effected the price.   3. There were documents that were used showed $109 and the contract $119 per hour, as a matter of fact the estimator gave me both numbers while he was at my house.   4. The movers were seasoned professionals with years of experience but two fo the three were new   5. It was a 2 hour drive each way and yet it was 1.5 hours to get there and an hour to return to Titusville.   6. The main reason I chose your company and paid hourly rates over and above all competitors was Steve (the estimator that came to my house) said everything would be Saran/shrink wrapped (though only 100 mile move) with examples like the leather sofa, table and leather chairs, TVs and all of my pictures. He said don't worry about wrapping the pictures as they will saran wrap them very, very quickly, as they are pros. This alone convinced me to pay the $20 ($109) or $30 ($119) over the competition.       The reason I chose your company was primarily due to the claims and representations the estimator made. He either needs to be trained or he just out right lied. The worse part, is based on the other estimates I received, I paid a lot more an hour based solely on his claims of services you would provide. So overall I was stuck paying 20 to 30% more than any of the other movers' estimates based on his representations and I find that unacceptable."       One of the operations managers called me (I was driving at the time) and said they would train the estimator but he did not address any of the other issues I listed or rate discrepancies. The move cost me $300 more than other company's estimate for no different service as promised.
