Horrible.

The person who came to give an estimate was a sales person, like a used car sales person. It seemed as though this company would be awesome, and unfortunately I fell for it. He showed a video and stated they were the only licensed movers in our area. (That was lie number one). He assured that his company could get the job done, including moving a hot tub. He stated the company moved hot tubs all the time. We were required to get 3 estimates and this company gave the highest cost to move our 2500 square foot house to another the same size 280 miles away. We went with them because the "sales person" told some good lies. He said they would have 7 movers and 2-26 foot trucks at our house at 7 am. He said they would be finished in 5 hours. We packed everything prior to their arrival. The evening before the scheduled move, the operations director, called and confirmed the same thing, 7 guys, 2 trucks, 5 hours. He stated that they would start driving when they were done loading the trucks and drive as far as they could for a 12-14 hour day.
Moving day arrived, they were 2 hours late, with 2 movers and 1 truck. The two movers had no idea what they were doing, it was one of thems first day. They said they were just going to start figuring out how to load the truck. They stated there was no another driver for the other truck so they were going to have to load the first one and then drive it back to their office, and pick up the other one truck and bring it back. About an hour later 2 other guys showed up and started packing the truck. About 8 hours later, 3 more movers showed up. The packing of the truck took 11 hours, and there were never 7 movers there. They did not adjust the cost, so we paid for 7 movers. The movers refused to move the hot tub. The manager and sales person conveniently were not available. They also did not adjust the price for that. They were supposed to leave for the new house the next morning at 7 am-we received a call at 10 saying they were on their way.
As they were finishing unloading, one of them brought the final bill. They had added an additional $300 to the bill for supplies-which we had not used. The operation manager stated over the phone we had used the items, so I talked with the actual guys doing the moving, and the one in charge stated we used only tape and plastic wrap. He was able to talk to the operation manager and get that charge removed. When they retuned with the final bill, they had added another $1400. The operation manager stated that the contracted amount was just an estimate, and could go up based on how long it actually took. We argued our case and he did not care. They were rude and unprofessional after they received our business. Once they have your stuff in the truck, you really don't have much leverage, basically if you want your stuff unloaded, you have to pay what they say.
My husband was able to convince the owner of the company that our estimate was for 7 guys, 2 trucks, and included the moving of the hot tub, and that we should be credited for the company not completing the job they were contracted to do. Bottom line, there was no reduction of the contract price of over 5k. The owner did remove the extra $1400, however it was not easy to get him to do the right thing. This was the most painful experience. The sales person and the operation managers are liars and have no clue as to how the guys that are actually moving the stuff work or what they can and can't do. They were not there and still tried to raise our cost twice. They lied about start times, about the second truck being on the way, about how many movers were coming.
The guys that came to move the stuff were very professional and did a great job. One of them was a bit disrespectful, however the others were great. They packed 2-26 foot trucks and only broke 3 glass Pyrex bowls. I will never never again use this company or recommend them to anyone.

All My Sons Moving - GA - Horrible Movers.

Like others who have reviewed, I simply cannot believe how horrible these service was nor express my regrets for not checking out these reviews prior to selecting this company. Having said that, where do I even start. They did not show up until 4:30PM on the day I had to be out. Even prior to that, I had to call them to confirm that they were even coming. Once on their way, the movers got lost and had to call me three separate times for directions and the address again (GPS anyone?). The movers showed up and had no moving pads (claimed some other moving team took theirs) and no tools (simple Allen wrenches were needed to take apart my bed and the mirror off my dresser). As I had already moved all my boxes myself including my tools, I had to run to Home Depot and get tools for them! Their only offered solution was to leave the furniture behind and get it later! They even charged me for the time to Home Depot and back. Once at the new sight they put my bed back together wrong and (it fell apart when I placed a box on it) and there were substantial nicks, scratches, and dents in my mostly new furniture. The move itself had to be one of the easiest ever. It was only furniture from a one bedroom apartment with no appliances, electronics (thank goodness I moved those myself) and no boxes. They charged me $550 and then got mad when I would not give them a tip. This was the craziest, worst customer experience I have ever had and the first time in my life I have been angry enough to write a review. DO NOT USE this merchant. Terrible, terrible experience.

Damaged and not much help.

My air hockey table (that I've had for over 5 years that survived a move across the country with another company) was not wrapped or protected in any way was of course damaged. I got the air hockey table as a Christmas presents years ago. The company wanted me to go to a notary with proof of purchase, when it was purchased, and the price. In return they wouldn't even give me 50% of what it's worth. What they ask for is unrealistic and a waste of time.

Unprofessional Behavior!

This was one of the scariest and most threatening experiences.

Upon meeting the moving crew Friday morning, the lead mover pulled me aside to let me know that they "accept tips". Thinking this was unprofessional and uncalled for, I called the sales rep and was informed that they've had issues with this particular mover and asking for tips.

The truck arrived at the destination 3 hours later than expected. The lead mover kept arguing with me about where items should go. About an hour into unloading the truck, the driver yelled at me that he was hungry and wanted to use my microwave. I informed him that I had ordered pizza which arrived shortly thereafter.

The big shock and scare occurred when they were completed and the truck was empty. The driver presented us with the bill and we paid with a credit card. Then the driver told my brother that I had promised him a tip. (I had left a few minutes earlier to pick up equipment from a store that closed at 3:00 pm).

My brother had approximately 10% of the move cost with him as a tip and he told the driver he had the tip but, before he gave it to him, he would appreciate it if they would take some of the empty wardrobe boxes with them. The driver refused and said this was not part of the deal. My brother said that the box removal was part of the tip. The driver insisted in "seeing the tip". My brother pulled out one of the $100.00 bills and upon seeing this, the driver became totally enraged and began making threats. He grabbed the $100.00 bill from my brothers hand and ran to the truck to "retrieve" something. The other crew quickly threw the boxes into the van. My brother, fearing for his safety, closed the garage door and locked the doors. The van left. We called the police to report the potential threat. We contacted our security department in the community and filed a report to ban this company from coming into our community every again.

I reported the incidents to the moving company, and was told it would be dealt with, but have no assurance that this guy won't be vindictive. Hence, we have hired legal counsel to consider what actions we should take against this moving company.

Moving and storage.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. They had to move some stuff from our our house to an apartment then store the rest. Well, throw the quote out the window, everything was "this was not included" and then to store the rest was going to cost extra and each storage had to be loaded which was more and this kept going. When I finally got my stuff out they charged me to get the units down, unload them, unpack some stuff that was their packing and charged me to stand there and watch the other movers load. This was this biggest rip off and they are the ones that gives movers a bad reputation.

Be Careful If You Use All My Sons Movers.

I moved several weeks ago and was extremely disappointed doing business with All My Sons - Nashville, Tennessee. The primary problem was the unexplained, unexpected costs. They charged me for 4 hours of over time when I wanted to stop and finish the next day. I had to pay time and a half, but no one told me it would be extra. They used packing materials without asking me and these appeared on the bill. We ended up having to finish the next day and they charged me $125 to keep my things overnight. I was told there would be no "fuel" charge or travel time the 2nd day, but there was. My complaint is that no one explained or estimated the costs ahead of time. I did not know until the bill was presented. I would never use this company again, nor would I ever recommend them. I sent 4 complaints and one was answered. They offered a token refund. When I sent a counter offer I never heard from them again. BEWARE of the hidden costs.

What a big disappointment and ripoff.

It took All My Sons (Miami) 7 hours to move my mom from a small one-bedroom apartment to a one-bedroom condo two blocks away. The company charged me $1,000 after sending two unqualified workers to do the job. If it wasn't for my brother, sister and niece who were there to help these people do their job, it would have taken them 12 hours. One of the workers could barely lift any weight. I will never never never again use All My Sons. When I reached out to the owner to express my disappointment, he said he was very happy with his team. I can see why.. the two people made him a lot of money today. Very short-sighted management. He will be out of business soon. Please, don't hire this company unless you want to be ripped off. All My Sons can do that very well.

Very Easy Move.

I selected this company because it was close to RI where I live and their moving quote was less expensive than many other moving companies. My only complaint is that I asked the person who I was first working with to fax an insurance contract to my property manager and that never happened. Otherwise, the movers were there on time and moved me quickly with no damage. They were all very nice and helpful. I would definitely use them again.

Never again.

Our move with All My Sons did not go well. Let's start with the day of the move. Horrible rainy day. I get it. But, I was told movers would be there between 12:00 - 4:00. At 2:00ish, I called to get an ETA and was told that the weather had moved the schedule back, but someone would be there before 4:00. At 3:50 when no one had called or shown up, I called back and was asked to do the move the next day. We could not do that, so I was told that the dispatcher would be out to do the move soon. We made the decision to do the move on Saturday due to the rain and not wanting to ruin our belongings. The lack of communication was disappointing. Had someone called earlier in the day, arrangements may have been made so the move could have been done the next day. No one from the company called me; I had to do the calling. This does not qualify as great customer service.

A move that should have taken 2 1/2 hours took 4 hours. There was no sense of urgency from the crew. They spent a lot of time wrapping items; about an hour and a half. That seems excessive for four or five wrapped items. They did not have tools. We had to go buy screwdrivers. The Dispatcher assured me this wasn't company policy, so I guess it was negligence on the part of the crew. Either way, it was unprofessional. They did not know the best way to get the furniture down the steps, nor did they investigate to see if there was a better way. There were two entrances to the apartment. The front stairs are much more conducive to taking furniture in and out. (I would have explained that had I been there when they arrived.) A 50-year old man and a 60-year old man helped move that furniture up the two flights of stairs quicker and without damage to walls or furniture. The same cannot be said about the AMS crew. Don't get me wrong - very nice gentlemen, but not seasoned movers. And, we paid the price for that. I called to complain about how slow they were moving, so the dispatcher came out to check. It was amazing how much quicker they were after his visit.

There were three dressers, one TV stand, one mattress and box springs, two-piece sectional, ottoman, two night stands, two bar caddies, small kitchen table and four chairs, an upholstered chair, and a TV to be moved. There truly was not that much to move. The amount of furniture moved would have gone into a truck a fourth of the size of the one that was sent.

I was quoted $350 and paid over $500. I did not get my monies worth. I have an antique cherry dresser that has marks on the top from being bumped down two flights of stairs on a dolly and now has a huge gash down the front from when it fell off of the dolly and hit the railing. Even if it is repaired, the damage will show. It's an antique, and the gash is deep and long. Again, there was no damage to the dresser when it went up the stairs. The very first piece of furniture that was moved into the new house was put down in such a way that it gauged the wall. No apologies from the crew about any of this.

I have communicated this to the sales person and the consumer care person. No response nor an apology from anyone. Again, not very professional.

Bottom line; we expected professionals and a quick move out of a one-bedroom apartment. That is not what we received nor experienced.

Extremely poor/unacceptable moving service.

I called All My Sons to move the heavier items out of our condo as well as a storage unit into a home nearby. Since these guys charge by the hour, I was told it would take less then three hours to complete the job as all we had them move was five dressers, two couches, a chair, a treadmill, an armoire, and a dining room table and china cabinet. The house is only 1.7 miles from both the storage unit and condo, so the drive time was minimal, but this job took a team of three over five hours. They scratched the wood floor. They snagged the carpet in two spots. They placed the armoire in it's spot upside down (yes, upside down). In one instance, when they were carrying an item down the steps, one gentleman dropped it. The other helper said be careful. The comment from the guy that dropped it was, "oh well". Since they charge by the hour, they wrap everything with about an entire roll of plastic wrap and blankets. Protecting the items is great but the pace is slower than turtle speed. Just a miserable, costly experience. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! THEY ARE A TRAINWRECK and your furniture and home will be too if you rely on All My Sons for your move.

Corrupt and unethical.

Never give an accurate quote. Do not show up with proper equipment and will not return deposit. Managers use foul language never on time and they make up stories to try to make it sound like it’s the customers fault. Tried to double charge me before I sent them off the property. DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS MOVING. Well go ahead if you wNt to get screwed over and possibly never get your stuff until your double quote is paid. CRIMINALS!!

Great moving experience!

I'm extremely happy with how All My Sons handled our move from the Charleston, SC, area to the Raleigh, NC, area. My husband and I have moved many times, and this wound up being one of the most positive experiences we've ever had. The salesman came to our house to give us a binding estimate that wasn't the cheapest or the highest estimate we got .. but it was what we considered a fair price. We chose All My Sons because they followed up, didn't pressure us, and answered all of our questions in a patient and friendly manner. The owner followed up with a phone call a few days later to make sure there were no unanswered questions. The movers arrived ready to work. They wrapped everything and loaded the truck very carefully to make sure nothing shifted. Another one of the many things I liked was the fact that the lead person was so proud of his work he wanted us to see what he'd done after it was all on the truck. Our daughter was at the other end of the move to show them where to put everything. She said they were friendly and did an excellent job of placing all the items. I would definitely use them again!

Bait & Switch Company!

On May 11 I was quoted $139/hour for a 2 hour, 2 man move within my town. Three business days before my move All My Sons changed the rate to $179 per hour for a 6 hour, 3 man move. According to the company, my initial quote was given by an inexperienced employee. With only 3 days to go before my move, I was unable to find another mover. Therefore, I was forced to pay the $179 per hour for 6 hours.
Do NOT book your move with this company that employs bait and switch tactics!

Cancelled an hour before my scheduled move.

Booked moving for 9/1 on 7/28 - scheduled for morning move. Got call 48 hours before move stating all was set, movers should be here on date of move between 8AM and 9AM.

On date of move, 9/1, after 9 AM I called to see what was going on. Was told I had been scheduled for 1PM - 4PM. Okay.. that was the first problem.
Around 1 I got a call stating that they would not be able to come me on the day that was booked over a month in advance. I was called about 30 minutes before their adjusted move window, mind you. Was told I could get moved on 9/4.

I was left high and dry, and my only consolation was a $20 per hour discount., meanwhile all of our things remained packed and time wasted.

Avoid at all costs, unless you like last minute cancellations.

Do Not Use!

Do Not Use! Do Not Use! Do Not Use! Do Not Use! They charged me $1600 to move me 15 miles and didn't even get everything. They damaged $300 of my stuff, damaged $500 of walls and baseboards, stole my granddaughters PS4 ($400), $300 cordless drills and batteries, $700 chainsaw, and charged me for bubble wrap and tape that was very unnecessary. They also damaged the door of the climate controlled storage company and I caught them breaking some of my stuff and trying to stuff it back in a box and hide it. However, they did it all with a smile. Filed a claim and never heard back from them.

Do Not Use Ams.

To start, our movers were VERY unprofessional. Two of them were making loud inappropriate noises as they went up and down stairs in which I could hear them from inside the apartment with the door closed. Also, they took at least 5x 10-minute smoke breaks while I was paying ams hourly. I will NEVER use this company again. In addition, the movers managed to damage about 50% of the items that they touched. I have a new dresser and new table set that was clearly dropped and not properly protected. They both have gaping dents in them. Also, my other dresser is completely destroyed from them dropping it.Management should be ashamed of what I experienced last weekend. Please save yourself the heartache and DO NOT use ams unless you want the worst possible service and most of your stuff damaged.

All My Sons Moving Company.

I thought this move was going to be easy. I packed everything myself all they had to do was move my belongings from my house to a storage unit bout 1.4 mlles away. I was told $150 an hour and that was it. At end of move I was given the price which exceeded way more than the $150 an hour. Come to find out I was charged $205 for packing materials. I packed my own things, didn't ask them to do nothing extra especially without telling me. They put what I packed in there bigger boxes, like why are you packing what's already packed? Then once they was "so called" done I was told everything isn't going to fit in my storage and they filled it up all the way to the top. They left my things that didn't fit sitting there, said goodbye and left. When I went in m storage they filled the front all the way to the top to make it look like it was full and once we moved that stuff there was clearly room left. When I moved all my things out of storage there was a tv missing the book and remote was there but no tv. And of course they was so in a rush to leave the truck was already closed up so I didn't get a chance to make sure everything was out. The guy in charged stayed on the phone with personal calls, the new guy was just lazy and the third fellow was asking for things I was throwing away. Guy in charge also offered me side job when I was ready to unpack and move to new home. I filed claim and of course they offered me $30 for the loss of the tv. 60 cents per pound. This is unacceptable! I didn't even want money they could have just got me a new television. I want o pursue this further but don't know how or if its really worth it. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if it was one of the tvs that I bought but this was a Christmas gift from my son.

Lost a Box of Family Photos.

I had a short, simple move that involved 4 heavy boxes and household furniture. The boxes were loaded first then all the furniture. Drove the goods less than 10 miles to new home. They unloaded the truck and it appeared everything had been unloaded. These four boxes where to be brought upstairs and upon reviewing the room they appeared to be all there but since I had moved other boxes into that room it wasn't clear until I unpacked that I was missing one of the boxes they moved. One week later when I finally unpacked this area it was identified that one box was missing that had inside it 3 large photo safe boxes filled with family photos that are not digital. I immediately called the movers and explained that I was missing a box. They stated they didn't have them and the truck was empty. I asked them to interview the three crew members that handled the job as they should know where the box is. They all deny that a box was left on the truck. I believe they have thrown out the box but I have no proof other than I am missing this very important family information. Jenson then Ops Mgr was terrible and dismissive about my concern. When I finally spoke with Paul the General Mgr he seemed more engaged to solve the situation but upon doing his followup had no solution to the situation. Do not use this company they can't be trusted!

The worst move of my entire life!

All My Sons moving and storage was contracted to move a two bedroom apartment fifteen miles down the road. The estimated completion time was 2:45 pm. I was being charged by the hour for this move. During the move, the employees handled my belongings carelessly and damaged several items. At approximately 4:30 pm I inquired about the delay, at which point two of the three employees became verbally abusive to me. Additionally, they began throwing my belongings off off the truck into the yard and yelling profanities at me. I believe this company was attempting to cheat me by using stalling techniques and displaying blantant negligence in the handling of my belongings. Adding insult to injury, I am a disabled individual and had great difficulty in moving my items left in the yard I am horrified and in disbelief of how I was treated by All My Sons Moving and Storage.

Taylor Seal.

I called to get a quote and I was told that I would be charged $109/hr and that would include mileage and any sort of materials such as mattress pads and such. I wasn't sure on if I wanted to use them, so I told them I would discuss it with my roommate. From that day, up until I booked them, I was berated with text messages and calls three times a day. I even told them once that I was insanely sick and that they would get a call from my roommate. They continued to call and text me thrice daily.

One the day of my move, the movers were late. They called me fifteen minutes after their two hour window had passed, letting me know that they were just now on their way. Once they arrived, we had nothing but trouble. One of the guys was always missing and the other guy spent the entire time complaining about anything and everything under the sun.

It took them two hours to get only HALF of my two bedroom apartment in the truck. The one guy complained the entire time about us moving to a second floor apartment and told us he'd be taking a break to get a drink.

Once we got to our new place, which was ten minutes from our original one, my roommate and I had to wait half an hour for the movers to actually show up. The movers were given specific instructions. All of my boxes had my name on them, and the rooms were also labeled and all they had to do was match up the room and put the boxes there. This was apparently too difficult of a challenge for them.

They told us that they would need another guy to help move my roommate's bed up the stairs and into the apartment. I will admit that my roommate's bed is large and difficult to move. The other two movers showed up and they were the ONLY two who moved the bed into the apartment.

When they finished, the man who kept disappearing gave me my quote and it was $300 more than what I was quoted on the phone. There were many hidden fees that we were not made aware of. We were charged for their fuel, an extra half an hour that they didn't work, as well as packaging materials (which once again, I was told was included in the original quote).

Originally, I told my roommate that we would unpack a bit before I called and had a conversation with management to get a partial refund. Both of us we went to start unpacking before we realized that none of the boxes were in the appropriate rooms. The movers had just given up and had left everything in the living room. They had even ignored the boxes that were marked fragile, and stacked various boxes on top of them.

I instantly called to complain and was put on hold twice before I was given to the director of this team. I explained my situation and he called me a liar. He said 'that this highly unlikely, since he had sent out his best two guys and they were highly experienced.' I even explained that the crate that had my video game consoles had the top shattered and many of my games were bent. My demand for a refund was ignored and instead, I was told I would receive a packet within 24-48 hours to receive some sort of reimbursement. This was two weeks ago and I still have not received said packet.

When I returned to my old apartment, we found out that they had damaged the walls as well as hidden about twenty small boxes in my roommates bathroom so they didn't have to move them. They caused thousands of damage to our belongs and we still have not received compensation and their movers and management are entirely unprofessional.

Long distance moving.

They were five days late from promised and checked on  delivery date which caused us huge added expenses and much stress us all but especially to the 95 yr old woman whose furniture this was. This was due to truck breakdown, but instead of renting a truck and continuing to haul the load (other companies said this is what they do), they let the trailer sit around for three days in southern GA while waiting for a part. They were very unresponsive to our complaints.  I would never use them again and would advise using almost any other company.

We originally hired All My Sons for a large move from our seven room home with garage to two locations.  One stop was to an apartment two streets from our current home and a second stop was to a storage location in a nearby town.  We were quoted $135 an hour for a three man crew, including a one hour travel fee.  When Al at the company called to confirm, he quoted me $140 an hour for the three man crew.  When I began to question this, he quickly went back to $135 an hour.  The crew showed up about a half hour late, which I was not too concerned with, especially after we saw that once they got to work, they worked in earnest loading the truck with boxes and furniture, only stopping when we suggested that they stop for some lunch, which we provided.  The furniture and boxes were delivered and the crew was paid about $1500.  After about a day, we needed to have some boxes and miscellaneous items moved to a storage unit in the next town.  I spoke with a lovely woman (I think her name was Jennifer.) at the company, who told me the size of the job warranted a two man crew.  The cost would be $120 an hour, plus travel.  The day and time was set.  The day arrived and I received a call from Al who told me he was sending a three man crew. I told him I arranged a two man crew with Jennifer for the move and unless he was eating the cost for the three man crew, I did not want a three man crew.  He told me he had a crew on the road that was ready to come.  He did not want them to have to drive back to their headquarters to drop off a guy so I could take it or leave it for another day.  I told him that was not acceptable.  I couldn't wait for another day.  The move could not be put off and this was not a good way to do business if he wanted to keep his customers.  He said take it or leave it.  I asked him what choice was he giving me.  He said take his crew today at $135 an hour, plus travel or schedule a 2 man crew for another day.  Since I had to move the stuff that day, I did not have an option and I told him that.  I told him this was a crappy way to treat his customers.  He yelled and screamed at me and told me he was giving me options!  I reminded him I already gave him $1500 of our money and we would need a moving company in September for another big move and if he wanted our business, he should think about how he was treating me.  He just continued yelling.  I had no choice but to take his three man crew.  They came and worked hard despite having already put in a full days work elsewhere.  I was charged the full $135 an hour, plus travel for a total of $464 for a tiny move to a storage facility (ground level) in the next town.  You should also know that they charge a 13% fuel surcharge.  The next day I was sent a survey via e-mail about the service provided.  I spelled out the whole experience for whomever would read it.  It is supposedly a family run business.  The blurb the person who answers the phone (Jennifer) gives you is very convincing about how they "care."  It has been over two weeks and I have not received an e-mail or phone call from them acknowledging what happened.  Nothing to indicate that they "care."  I strongly advise against using this company.  In closing, they have a strange payment policy.  The movers arrive and ask for your credit card.  You give it to them and they immediately charge your card the estimated amount they think the move will cost.  When the move is over, they calculate what it really cost and credit or charge your card more.  In both cases, our card was credited.  GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR MOVING NEEDS.      .

The Grinch That Stole Christmas.

Another moving company moved us 123 miles in six hours. The quote was right on the money and the movers were professional in every aspect. That was NOT the case with ALL MY SONS. They did not keep the original appointment and made me re-schedule for earlier or later. The end price was $978.73 before they would unload the truck. Initially, they were covering everything and using excessive tape. When they realized I was upset about the amount of time it was taking, they quit wrapping things. I ended up with scratched furniture and they were rough with my appliances. When I complained to Joe, the manager, about the excessive charges, he took off $78.73. We had no funds left to buy anything for our grandsons for Christmas and barely enough for gas and groceries for two weeks. ALL MY SONS ARE SCAM ARTISITS. BEWARE!!
