Local move within Texas

Bad experience with Across USA.

Don't ever trust these guys..I would love to give zero starts if there is one such option.

I booked their service to move one BHK from Dallas to Utah for ~1750$. It turned to be 2500$ while the move completed after 1 month.

First thing, seems they don't own trucks and so they look available trucks on your route. If they get one immediately, you are lucky. Otherwise, you end up waiting for month like me. A month after repeated follow ups and phone calls. God knows, if I don't follow up how long would it take. Not to mention, for items in their ware house beyond one month, they charge you as if it is your fault.

Second thing, seems they have ware house only in Dallas. So, if you happen to book any where else, they store your items in Dallas only until you are ready to pick up your items in destination. If you happen to be my case where you are moving to a new city and need to look for apartment after reaching destination, then you can't load your items on truck. They don't keep your items in any storage area at your destination. Either you have a residential address or end up keeping in storage area.

Third thing, they send your items to destination only on 18 wheeler biggest truck on the road. Don't be surprised if the truck won't maneuver to your apartment complex and you end up paying another 300$ for shuttle service. Btw, they won't let you book shuttle from UHaul for 20$ rather they would do it and charge 300$ from you. Also, the driver won't even make an attempt to maneuver the truck into the apartment complex. He would simply say "I know my truck much better than you man!". In spite of my apartment authorities saying that they never had problem with any truck maneuvering the complex, the driver din't make an attempt. Why would he? Who doesn't want additional free money?

Finally, the moving coordinator talks very lovely and promises that she won't sleep until my items are shipped. Don't believe them. All lies. After you book the moving service, she rarely responds to your call/mail and even if it would be a customary standard response.."I am working on it and you will be loaded into truck as soon as possible. Apologies for inconvenience". But they mean none of it.

Stay away..You are warned..warned..

Long-distance move from Texas to Georgia

Crappist move ever.

Having been moved around the world, literally, while serving in the u.S. Armed forces  I have experienced every kind of move possible. The move from Houston tx to Georgia in November 2013 was entirely nothing but pure crap. As I was recovering from major heart surgery. I could not be present when my household goods were picked up. I learned during delivery in January 2014 that two of the three-man crew packing us out were high on oxytocin and one gentleman even said to my wife, that, when asked her if she could pick them up something to eat was told, "No thanks it will ruin the effect of the oxytocin". This gentleman was the leader of the crew packing us out. Upon delivery, the first item off the truck was a wooden custom made headboard. It had deep scratches in it. The corresponding footboard was so damaged that boards were falling off the foot board.  Every major piece of wooden furniture had damage of some sort.  Legs broken off, crowns broken off, deep unsightly scratches. The Maytag washer had the selection knob broke off, which requires a circuit board replacement to make the machine serviceable.  We shipped a three door refrigerator. They did not remove the shelves inside nor tape them down, resulting in a broken piece of glass, estimated at $265.00 to replace. I urge you do not use this company! Se the photo of how the truck was packed. The flat box in the center is one of three flat screen TVs we shipped. Almost every box had damage.

Long-distance move from Texas to Nevada

My moving experience.

This company is located in Dallas, Texas. The address is 10480 shady trail 75220. The lady that processed my original quote was Tamra. she was very polite and answered all my questions. The quote was very reasonable for an out of state move so therefore I proceeded with the contract and with this company. I feel like I made a good decision. my pick up date was on July 14 2014. Charles came to my door on time and introduced himself as the team leader. He introduced his movers Jacob and Joseph. All three of these guys were very polite and worked very hard. Charles was extremely polite and professional. He gave us great advice on how to protect certain items. He explained how he could pack and protect it a bit more than what I originally did so I wouldn't have any concerns on my stuff being delivered damaged or broken. They were prompt and organized. My husband and I are very pleased with the work they've done. We would definitely recommend Across USA to anyone. We want to request for Charles Joseph and Jacob to deliver our stuff to Nevada.

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Terrible!! do Not Believe Fake Reviews.

Let me start with saying that these guys are scam artists, they litteraly kidnap your goods!! they under quote you to engage you, then they show up on their own time and charge you for half of the original estimate(with a purpose, I will explain latter) after they have the money they review the goods and strike with a new cost, in my case over 80% more, they originaly quoted 3577 and it end up being 6541, at this point they ask you to pay the additional amouth to cover for the 50% of the cost, if you don't agree then you will have to pay it anyway because on the original estimate it states 50% charge for same day cancellation. According to my wife the crew that showed up was profesional and very respectful. I just hope my good get delivered safe and sound!!
CAN ANYONE HELP STOP THIS COMPANY?? I will call a lawer but if only one person does it is not going to be enough!! please join me if you had a bad experience qith this thieves.

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Very Bad Experience with Across USA.

The worst ever moving experience with Across USA. Probably the worst shipping company.
Never get into Across USA with any business.
Across USA will start with a sweet quote and there you fall prey.
Stay away from this company. Else you will go through several agony dealing with them and regret later.
I shipped my items from Texas to California.
Below are my feedback and How I was treated by Across USA:
1. Discriminated, by refering my financial status and Mr. Yair mentioned  for the money you paid, you donot deserve a prompt delivery, Else pay $1500 for a guaranteed delivery
2.Intentionally delayed - Inspite of several requests to them to arrange for proper delivery without delay , they intentially refused to deliver it on time.
3. Tried to charge more by delaying and pressurizing the customer - This company intentionally delays and when you keep following they say we have a guaranteed expedited delivery option and for which you will have to pay $1500
4.  Tried to charge 100% of the total amount with false commitment on delivery date by sending an credit card authorization over email and phone calls even before the items were delivered, while 30% has been committed to be paid only upon delivery
5. Trust Reviews from other customers, who have passed through the same phase and got the same treatment. You would find a list of other customers on Yelp who have gone through the same tortures. This company is a very bad example of treatment to customers. And this will spoil any trustful mindset in customers mindset.
I want to keep it short. I have more than 100 email followups and several phone calls with the CEO, Customer Support Manager of Across USA before my items were delivered. Finally  after 35 days of pickup my items were delivered with damages. For the damages they came out with $66 compensation and $120 for delay.
And You have to sign a form to receive that, I did not sign the form, because its like writing a will for them. And below is the extract from the form::
"I hereby release, acquit and forever discharge ACROSS USA MOVING & STORAGE, and any of its agents and affiliates, of and from any and all loss or damage to my shipment, premises at both pick-up and delivery locations, overcharge, delay, late delivery, and/or service related complaints. I further agree not to file or continue any previously filed claim, complaint or take any action including any State, City, Federal, Government, Insurance, Subrogation, Consumer, Public, Media, Internet, Arbitration, or Credit Card agency. "Complaints NOT including damage or missing items as noted on inventory at time of delivery. I further agree not to file or continue any previously filed claim (not related to damages or missing items)"
Beware and Be prepared for this if you are using this company for Shipping
Trust other 1 star rating and you will be saved. FMCSA suggests to go with the review before deciding on the mover. I have two cases filed, one at BBB and another at FMCSA against them. .

Long-distance move from Texas to Nevada

Wonderful Moving Experience !

A wonderful moving experience thanks to Across USA. I got a job in Connecticut and my family had to move quickly from TX to the Stamford, CT. Daniel came to our house the day after we called him and gave us a reasonable quote. The day before moving they sent four guys to pack up the house and on moving day 5 showed up to pack up the trucks. All they guys were friendly, efficient, and careful with our belongings. They drove their truck up and did a two stop drop off - one to a storage unit and one to our rental home that had 35 stairs just to the front door! Again they guys did a great job, good attitudes, no complaints and no damage to our belongings.

Long-distance move from Texas to Oregon

Very late. Horrible experience.

Wow.. Unbelievably bad experience. They were 22 hours late (from the latest time they gave me in the window) after promising me hour after hour they were going to be in an hour or two. Stayed up till midnight waiting eventually finding out they would be there "first thing in the morning". Which turned out to be 7pm. Missed my flight the next day waiting for them.  Was promised a call from a supervisor to make things right. That didn't happen. I called and spoke with someone and told them I was tired of dealing with their process and was just going to leave my reviews online. He said "I don't want this to sound like a threat, but if the company sees you slandering them online we can just leave your stuff wherever it is in the country and tell you to pick it up." I told him that definitely sounded like a threat and that I had no intention of slandering them. Only posting 100% accurate reviews. Oh, and they added $390 to the quote after everything was loaded. .

Long-distance move from Texas to Oregon

Poor communication.

So my fiancé and I had to move from Fort Worth Texas to Portland Oregon March 17th, called lots of moving companies to get quotes, and Across USA were the one closest to our budget after discounts. Ragan the sales guy there was great and lots of help but w´very pushy, we were told the movers were their own and so was the truck drivers and the ones supposed to help with the delivery. Feeling happy with the amount of service the moving started and we were told that the truck would leave the same week -  so we planned our trip to Portland to fit that schedule.

The movers came and were amazing, and while looking through the paper work we noticed the first flaw which send off all the bells ringing. The quote we had discussed was for a little over 800 cubic feet and the paper work showed 700 cubic feet. I assume this is how they lowered the estimate to fit our budget WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE.

Lucky for us we had thrown some things away and amazingly with the amazing packing crew everything now fit with the new ´"estimate".

Now since the new apartment was located downtown Portland we needed to give notice of when the movers were arriving so we could contact the HOA to get the permission required for the move. (they need a 7 days heads up). A couple of days later we call to check up on the truck all to find out it had left without our things, and no one could tell us why. After several calls to Jasmin, and no one calling back, we kept trying and were redirected to Anthony the operating manager who never called back and never answered any emails. We Finally got hold of Jerry the VP and we were assured that our things would be on the next truck out, however they could not give us a delivery date, but we would receive an email with the drivers number so we could coordinate everything.

Needless to say we never got an email.
Towards the end of March, I had to travel and we still did not have a delivery date. After calling Across USA for an entire day Jerry finally called back, and explaining the situation he reluctantly gave us 1 hour labor service to help my fiancé unpack once the delivery was made. I was also reassured that we would be told a delivery date so we could coordinate with the HOA for the approval .

Couple of days go by and we hear nothing, we try to call Jerry is not available but we can leave a message. 1 Week pass by no one calls, no emails, no communication. Meanwhile we are still sending emails and hearing nothing.
We check with the HOA and we cannot receive delivery after hours. We call, and we email to tell Across USA. Suddenly April  4th at 5 PM we get a call they are ready to come delivery. Apparently no one read any emails or picked up their phone, or checked their voice mails..

So we talk to the driver, beg the HOA and the delivery can be made Sunday 6th of April. 20 Days after the pickup.

6th of April they show up with the paper work - Saying we have to pay for the unpacking despite Jerry the VP assuring us that they would assume the cost due to the delay in delivery. Not only that but the Driver and the help are not even employees of Across USA but a completely different company, despite Ragan the sales guy telling us that they were theirs, that did they background checks, and only used their own guys for the ENTIRE MOVE.

To top it all off, once the delivery guys were there, they had been given the wrong number to call my fiancé to let her know they were there..

So in short:
They manipulated the cubic feet to give the illusion of a better price
Promised 1 hour free labor for unpacking service and lied.
Promised the details of the driver to coordinate delivery date and never send them.
Promised that it would be their own employees delivering and driving the truck and lied.
Fail to keep up communication throughout the move to keep us informed.
No one calls back, or responds to the emails.

I don't know how these guys got good reviews, but suddenly Im seeing bad reviews flying in from just the past couple of months. And really wish I had known earlier.

Long-distance move from Texas to Oregon

Horrible Company.

This was the most unprofessional, dishonest company I have ever dealt with.  They came before their window off time so I was not home.  They had my husband who was not familiar with any of the details of the move give them his credit card.  When I called home and found this out I talked to the movers and told them that this was already paid in full on another card.  They said they would check with the office.  I called Kenny who verified it had been paid for.  I than spoke with Jasmine and Daniel who apparently handle billing.  I was told no problem we will correct it when they return to office.  They billed it for half of the move and the other card for the full move.  They never gave us a delivery date and would not return calls or would put you to voice mail.  After two weeks they said they had not had the authorization paper for the credit card that my son gave them for the full price of move signed by e-sign. It was billed though and the transaction had gone through.  They than wanted him to resign another one.  We told them they already had that money and had not credited our account.  My son who had moved from Texas to Oregon was eager to get his things and we could not get a delivery date. They had already emailed me confirmation that they had credited the account but had not. We were than informed that they would credit the money for the account that they were not supposed to even have, and could set up his delivery if he signed.  They again sent an email that they had credited account so he signed.  What they did was to recharge the card again and than reverse that charge within minutes of each other. They never credited the one form two weeks prior.  At this point the credit card company called and talked to another manager,Mr.Levy Gamlieli who insisted it had been refunded. The bank explained it had been billed again and reversed but the original charge had not been refunded.  He insisted it had and our bank must not have posted it yet.  I asked for and he sent another email confirmation that the amount billed two weeks before had been posted to our account.  My son's things arrived 23 days after they were loaded . They were on a semi which is not allowed at the apartment building as it was downtown.  We had paid for a shuttle and also elevator charge.  The driver was not made aware of this and had to park away from the building and do a long haul.  We are still in dispute over the credit as they have not refunded the charge.  My son is glad to have his things , I am glad they actually made it there.  Avoid this company at all costs it was a very difficult and stressful time and I have moved dozens of times across multiple states and never had any of these issues. Beware. .

Long-distance move from Texas to Ohio

Moving mom home.

Nick, Joey, and Ramon were very polite and professional. If it weren't for them double checking with me on some items, I would have forgotten to have them pack them. So thanks Guys. Only thing that could have been done better was for them to bring extra packing materials and boxes. I had to give them a couple boxes. Other than that, the moving team was excellent.  .
