Long-distance move from Orlando, FL to Alexandria, VA

Great long distance move.

All went well with my daughter's move by 24/7 Logistic Services from Florida to Virginia. The quote was accurate; the movers on time and very careful with her belongings. We did a full service move and all was wrapped and packaged securely. Nothing was lost and there was no damage to her items, which included a fish tank and many sentimental ceramic items. At delivery, the delivery guy T. did a careful job placing things where she wanted them and reassembling the piano, desk and other items. The company also was very responsive and flexible when we needed to adjust the move dates. Overall, I'd definitely recommend to a friend or family.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. I would not give any star at all for this moving company. In fact, if there is a negative star then they deserve it. The 1 star they got is for the way they wrapped my belongings ( I meant this in a nice way.) They packed my belongings very nicely and that was it.

I searched on BBB to make sure they are an accredited BBB company that they are not a brokerage company and they got nice reviews so I trusted the reviews and called them up. This started my nightmare with them.

First of all, the sale rep was very nice and knowledgeable, she said that they have their own trucks and she is quoting me with discounted and additional cubic feet.

Oh boy, the whole situation changed when I am passing the point of cancelation.

The truck showed up (not their own truck like the rep said) really late to pick up my belongings without calling or notifying me, I had to be the one who did all the calling to track the truck. The sales rep at this point pretty much left my phone calls unanswered or replied back with very vague responses.

The driver showed up and without looking for the original contract, he walked around my house and came out saying that the original estimate is not correct and he jacked up the price to more than $1200.00 quoting that the people at the office didn't know that they are doing and he is here with his 5 years experiences and if I don't agree with his new estimate he would take off and I would lose my deposit.

At this point, I had to agree with the new contract. You see, they lured their clients into a position of no return. I would have to take it or lose my deposit.

I called my sales rep at this point she would not do anything to help.

So I signed the new contract knowing that I am being ripped off but had no point of return.

But the nightmare did not end there. It took them over 2 months from the day they picked up my belongings to deliver my stuff. That is 28 days late from the day they must deliver my belongings according to their contract.

When the truck finally showed up for delivery, they damaged my belongings, missing items, and delivered the wrong box (that belong to the next stop)

The driver gave my personal number to the person that missing that box without my consent or knowledge and pretty much left the matter for us to deal with. That was when I found out that the customer had when through the same nightmare I went through with this moving company.

I filed a complaint with the BBB but the BBB did not do much, they just let the company and me using my words against their words fighting kind of thing.

I could write more but afraid people would not want to read the whole thing so I will stop here. As of today, the company is still holding the contract that the driver wrote as a tool to defend their wrong business practices as if it is my fault that I signed for that contract. They are mocking at all their clients for trusting them so easily.

Long-distance move from North Fort Myers, FL to Middletown, NY

Stay Away!!!

So not sure where to begin but by far the worst moving company I have ever dealt with!!! Be prepared to be bumped and they prey on people. On the day of the move my wife called me in tears as the bumping began. The movers did not know what they were doing and absolutely were the thief's. All my tools were stolen and we didn't realize it until the mover got us unpacked. Speaking off that when our furniture arrived at the house only one guy came. So a 4 bedroom house was unloaded by 1 guy!! My son and I had to help otherwise it would have taken 3 days to unpack. What a mess this company was. David the guy who originally took the initial order was no where to be found. Just took the money and ran. What a sad place to do business with. Obviously there is nothing I can do but just hope someone reads this and they pass on using this company. My only goal is to protect people from having to go through what we went through..

Official company response

Hello Mr. Nelson, We are sorry for any inconveniences. We don't understand what you mean by bump as you paid exactly the estimate given to you and not a penny more. We are very sorry for the mishap on delivery in NY. Unfortunately in certain states, we have had to deal with helpers calling in sick due to Covid 19. We gave you the claims information for you to see if we may be able to compensate you. Please reach out to the main office if you would like that information sent to you again. Thank you.

Moving Nightmare

I really wish Google and all other sites would allow for 0 to Negative stars to be given for reviews because this moving company was the WORST, and we were active duty Military for 20 years and did 9 moves. So trust me I know what I am talk about in THE WORST company.

They promise to come on the specific dates you ask for, our were 12 July 2021 thru 13 July 2021. They didn't come on the 12 has stated in he contract and told me they were professionals and would get full pack and load all done on the 13 of July. TAKE SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR CONTRACT, They will alter it without you knowing. The movers showed up after 0930 on 13 July 2021 and didn't leave until AFTER midnight. They use volume instead of weight to calculate the cost of your move. No matter what your estimate was, they will pack it such that they get more out of you. The packing was the worst I have EVER seen, EVERYTHING was packed in wardrobe boxes which created more mass.

Then they transfer you shipment to another truck so ALL of your stuff is moved to another truck and everything get RUINED, please see all picture attached. The office will NEVER give you an update on your delivery because they are CLUELESS. Our driver called us the day before delivery and said he will be there at 0800, after calling the driver NUMEROUS times he finally called us back and stated he over slept and would be there in an hour. Driver didn't show up until 1345 (1:45PM). Furniture broken, glass lamp globes broken, boxes crushed, picture glass broken.... I could go on but I will let the pictures do the talking.

I will be filing a claim, along with a laws suit against this company.

Long-distance move from San Diego, CA to Panama City Beach, FL

Worst Company EVER!

This is the WORST company I've had the displeasure of hiring. They talk a big talk until their movers get to you home; then they start telling you "it won't fit in your reserved space" but when you ask them to show you the size of the container you reserved; they can't. They stuffed 3 families into the same truck; they had a month to get our belongings to our destination. We waited; they never called us. When we called them they said their truck broke down; when I asked where it broke down they said they can't release that information and were unable to give us an arrival date. I took off work two weeks waiting past our contract arrival date. When our belongings finally arrived (two weeks late); they had broken several pieces of furniture, two glass tops missing, two huge boxes of my kids clothes missing, 4 wetsuits missing and to top it off their driver left someone else personal box of family pictures at my house and the diver wouldn't come back to get it even though I called him within 2 hours of him leaving. Every time I called their representative, he kept trying to blame it on Covid; refused to make any adjustments to the contract; Threatened " No refund if I called the BBB". Then they told us we'd have to file a case with CSI Pros (must be their insurance company) to TRY to get reimbursed for all there broken and lost items. Still haven't resolved anything as of 12/24/21. Save yourself a con job and don't use this company!!!!!!

The Best of the Best

Very professional from the beginning to end! Each representative was knowledgeable and easily accessible at all times. The movers where thorough and careful with all of our items. Moving across country can be stressful but having 24/7 Logistics on our side made the process a good experience.

I Highly recommend to anyone seeking a mover to choose 24/7 Logistics and look no further! Great service, unbeatable prices (I got estimates from over 10 companies) and quality care.

Long-distance move from Homestead, FL to Dothan, AL

Great Service

Very Satisfied!! First contacted 24/7 for a quote in Jan. 2022. I was not ready to move at that time, but Chris Lake promised to follow up close to moving date. He did right about the time I was going to move. I have already called close to 10 companies who were charging close to double of 24/7 fee. The staff picking up my boxes were super careful with the contents, even tape-reinforcing my boxes when necessary. They worked in a very fast and organized manner. I was moving from one state to another. Once I reached my destination, I was called a few times with updates on delivery. Driver called me a few times when on it's way giving me updates on arrival time so that I could have plan myself accordingly. I work from home, so that was important to me. Delivery of my goods went flawless. All my belongings reached in great shape. Nothing was broken or scratched. The gentleman doing the unloading put all my belongings where I indicated with no complaints. The company still followed up with calls to inquire of my satisfaction with the service. I will used them again. Thanks 24/7

Long-distance move from Oakland, CA to Boynton Beach, FL

Calif to Florida move

Here is my experience with the company:

After researching many moving companies, I decided to go with 24/7 logistics for my move from California to Florida. About 5 weeks before the move I contacted them with a list of everything that was to be shipped, including all furniture items, even the sizes and quantity of the boxes, I wanted to overestimate the job, so I added about a dozen extra boxes of each size, as I still had a few things left to pack, I had also planned to sell some of the larger pieces of furniture before the move. Katy quoted me a price of $9499.19, which seemed reasonable., I About 3 days before the move I contacted Katy again and informed her that I now had a complete and total count of everything that was to be moved, I had in fact sold several pieces of furniture, including 2 large entertainment/display cabinets, a file cabinet, TV stand and a few other items, I also had about a dozen less boxes than my originally quote,

Moving day came and 3 guys showed up in a truck with no LOGO or name, I asked if they were from 24/7 logistics, they said they were. The guy in charge said he needed to do visual inspection before he moved anything. I After about half a hour the head guy came to me and said he had a final count of my Items, he then told me that it was going to cost an additional $1000 dollars to move. I have less to move than I had originally quoted them. He told me that they always add an extra 10% to the load, but If after loading it look like there was less, he would adjust accordingly. They finished loading the truck and of course there was not going to be an adjustment to the price because he had determined that is was in fact correct.

I had been in Florida for 2 weeks and had not yet heard from anyone, so, I contacted 24/7 logistics and spoke to Liz from dispatch, to ask if she could give me an idea of when to expect my things, she called me back several hours later and told me that everything was still in the warehouse in California and she would notify me when it was being dispatched. Several days later, Liz called me and said that my Items were being loaded that day and should be in Florida by the end of the week. Well, the end of the week came and went and stills no sign of my stuff and not a word from 24/7 logistics, so I called them to find out what was going on, Liz told me that it would now be there on Monday between 9am and noon. By 1pm on Monday there was still no sign of my things, and again, no word from 24/7 logistics. I called Liz again to ask, what was going on? She said she’d get back to me, several hours passed and Liz called back to say that the truck had broken down and my things would not be there until Wednesday or Thursday, well, guess what, still no truck, no call from 24/7 logistics, so I called again, several hours passed, no call from them but I did get a call from a company named Atlantic movers, saying they had my stuff and would be there on Friday between 9am and noon. I was confused because 24/7 logistics had told me that they were the ones that handle the move from start to finish and that they did not sub-contract out to other movers, that’s one of the reasons why I decided to go with them in the first place.

Atlantic movers did show up on Friday and on time but when they opened the back of the truck I was horrified to see everything literally just throne in there, I knew this wasn’t going to be good, I could also see that many of the items that they were unloading didn’t even belong to me, so we had to sift through everything to find my belongings. All the boxes were crushed and piled on top of my furniture; they started to pull out the things that belonged to me while they piled someone else’s stuff onto my garden.

I immediately contacted 24/7 Logistics to let them know that there was a problem, Liz told me that she was very sorry and that this never usually happens, I have my doubts about that!!! About 10 minutes later I received a phone call from Scott, the manager for 24/7 logistics, he told me to let the guys finish unloading the truck and to take pictures and document any missing items, which I did, he then sent me a link to file a claim.

I spent the weekend unpacking my things, there was hardly an item that didn’t sustain some kind of damage, furniture with dents and gouge marks, broken pictures, smashed mirror, torn mattresses and box springs, all of the boxes were crushed and items that are missing, it was clear that no care was taken with any of my possessions. It took 32 days for them to deliver my things, I think that’s unacceptable!!

Moving is stressful enough, no one should have to go to through this and I would strongly suggest that you do not use this company

Brokers, and they charge hidden fees

If I could give a negative review I would. Never use these crooks

They find a way to charge you more on the days leading to delivery. They could help you ask the right questions, but they don't. They charge shuttle service if an 18 wheeler can't "fit" down the street. They consolidate your stuff with other people's stuff. They charge fees wherever they can. Do not use, they are the worst.

You can do better

I called in June '23 based on the Consumer Affairs recommendation and after an hour Zoom to survey the size of the move, I was given a 'binding' estimate of about $10k. I was assured that we would be given a single truck to our load and it should go direct to the destination. Our move date was still TBD but we tentatively set it for 9/1 and I paid a 25% deposit payment. My builder updated my close date for the new house and I called 24/7 and updated my move date to 9/21 on 3 Aug.

On 13 Sept 24/7 'Quality Assurance' called and redid the Zoom call to assess the size of the move. The date is important, since the deposit is non-refundable if the move is cancelled within 10 days of the move date. And they hadn't mentioned any "Q/A" call when I talked to them on Aug 3rd. After a 2 hour Zoom going room to room, my bill of lading estimate was increased by ~60% along with an increase in the deposit required. I felt trapped, since if I didn't sign the new contract, I lost the $2500 deposit and I had to find a new mover in less than a week. I signed the new bill of lading. During this Q/A Zoom, the rep also said that the signed bill of lading was only an estimate of final cost and could be changed by them at any time to reflect the actual cubic feet and materials used in the pack. The only person bound by their contract was me.

I rationalized the price as being a better reflection of the actual cost, so there would be less chance of a surprise later.

It also is important that any potential customer understands 24/7's 'payment plan'. They require 25% up front and will accept a credit card for that. After pick-up, they require 60% of the balance to be paid. They will accept a credit card for that with a 4% 'convenience' fee, but in their contract, they say "I also understand that I may not enact a charge back as a means to resolve an issue with my moving Carrier if for any reason I am dissatisfied with the services I have received including but not limited to: loss or damage of items being shipped, late delivery, property damage at points of service, disputed weight or volume charges, disputed packing charges, or services contracted and not received. I understand that a charge back is not a valid means to remedy any dispute with my moving carrier, 24/7 Logistic Services LLC, and that as a party to a legally binding contract I must adhere to the contract terms and federal regulations ... Collection costs may also be assessed (where applicable) if a charge back is processed." So use of a credit card will not protect you from 24/7. Finally, before they will start delivery at the destination, the remaining balance must be paid in full and they will only accept cash, a USPS money order, wire transfer or Zelle. Basically, to get your stuff, you have to give them money that you will never be able to recover.

So, the move was scheduled for 21 Sept. The mover called and said "we'll be there about 11 AM", so I immediately knew they could not complete the pack and load on the 21st and we were going to be at the old house an extra day. They also used 2 trucks filling each one about half full. They finished loading the second truck on the morning of Friday the 22nd and I paid with a credit card, since the price changed yet again and I had to sign a third Bill of Lading.

The packers were very fast and since I knew never to trust a mover with anything of great monetary or sentimental value and had removed that stuff, the pack went without a hitch.

The first load showed up at the new house on the 25th, but had to wait until 10 AM while I went to the bank to get cash. Out of about 130 items on the manifest, about 20 were missing or had lost their labels or were on the second truck. So I paid the outstanding balance and signed for a partial delivery and started to wait for the rest of the load.

24/7 called on Sept 30th and said they would consolidate my load and ship it soon. At this point I looked at the contract and realized they were not required to deliver until Oct 25th, a month after the first delivery date.

I called them on Oct 9th to get an update and was told I was in luck, it was in the process of loading and should be at the destination in a few days.

The second truck came on Oct 12. There was only the driver and I helped him unload the truck into the garage. It only took about an hour, but the driver did not offer a manifest to check off items, nor did I have to sign anything. ??? On the way out he drove on my lawn and over the Water Works access hatch. My builder told me not to do that again.

If you've read all this, I can only say, 24/7 is expensive and not customer driven. The guys who do the packing and loading are okay, but not special. Find someone else. You can do better.

To Consumer Affairs, how could you have recommended these guys ever?
