Long-distance move from Syosset, NY to Manassas, VA

Illegal money grabber.

I received competitive quotes from this organization, and initially signed up with them. I paid the deposit, but within the contractual 72 hours, cancelled and notified them. No response. I emailed the sales rep, Dave, who was so friendly when he was trying to establish the deal, but got no response. I called when my credit card bill came due. Dillon assured me that the cancellation and refund would be processed within 72 hours. But nothing happened. When my next credit card statement came with no credit, I contacted Dillon who said that they would now mail me the check, but there would be a two week delay since their CFO, who alone approves the checks, would be out on vacation. Four weeks later and still no check. Now when I call their "24/7" support line at all kinds of hours, all I get is voicemail saying they will get back to me within 1-2 business days. That's not really support is it? Sounds more like they are trying to filter my call. This company is unreachable and will do anything it can to grab as much of your money as it can without providing anything to you in return. Best advice is for you to avoid this company or have a really good lawyer ready.

Bad company.

Don't waste your time and money. This company is a broker that hires other small companys. They don't even own a truck. They raised the price 3 times increasing the price from $1780 to $3000 dollars. I asked for a weight ticket and I was told the driver forgot to get one. My furniture showed up 8 days late and if I did not pay the driver the amount they wanted they would take my furniture back and charge my storage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Richard,

I apologize that your experience has not been up to par of your expectations. The only time that a customers cost will ever increase is when a client or customer has added any additional services or items to be shipped that was not included on your original order. Our office calls every client that we have 48-72 hours prior to pickup to confirm the items that were being shipped. If at that point you add more items to be shipped or any additional services then your cost would be adjusted and you would be informed prior to the staff arriving on site. If make an adjustment you resign off on a new inventory list for a binding cost on that shipment. Now the only way that you would see another adjustment to your cost after this is if the staff arrives and there are even more items to be added which would give you a 3rd adjustment in your price. we know that it is very hard to capture everything and have everything in order when our clients are making their arrangements. Thus the reason we have the second follow up call 48 prior to pickup.

Please contact our office and ask for the Quality Assurance Department for any other Questions or Clarifications.

We are more than willing to overlook your file and make sure that all charges are correct and in order with what services that you received.

Thank You,
New Frontier Van Lines.

Great Company.

It was a pleasure doing business with New Frontier Van Lines. Although, our move was not big, we had a lot of fragile items that needed extra TLC and they got our move done without breaking or scratching any furniture which is impressive.
We received a lot of quotes and New Frontier was priced a little higher than some of the other companies but there reviews says it all and we were happy to pay a little more for the level of service we received.
Everyone we worked with was very professional from our relocation specialist Michael to the moving crew. I would New Frontier Van Lines Movers to anyone looking for a dependable company that you can count on.

Moving company.

**CAUTION**THIEVES** This is not a moving company they are brokers and they brokered all of my belongings to a company that they say is “American Eagle Moving LLC”. Two months ago I watched all of my stuff get loaded into a box truck and “ its 3 days from delivery” every time I call. They have no idea where in transit my things are and have no way of telling me exactly when I will get my belongings. We are currently opening an investigation towards this company. This is the biggest scam of a company that has free will to exist under our constitution. That was everything I owned and cared about which was robbed from me and family.STAY AWAY FROM NEW FRONTIER VAN LINES.

Long-distance move from Georgia to Washington DC

Do NOT Recommend.

Moving is never fun, but I don't actually have words for the incredible incompetence and lack of professionalism demonstrated by New Frontier Van Lines on my moving day. I do have a genuine goal of deterring others from using this company for their move, so here is my best attempt.

I spoke with Jackson leading up to my move and he helped me understand the process, conduct a basic inventory of items, get a quote, etc. My particular move was quite simple; I was moving from a 1BR in Atlanta to Washington DC. My only request was that half of my items go to my new house, and the remaining half to a storage unit 3 miles away. Jackson assured me that this was no problem and would be done at no additional cost. I was also told that the quick verbal inventory conducted over the phone needed only to be an estimate, and that I could add a certain amount of weight at no additional cost. Great! I paid my deposit of just over $300 using the credit card I had on hand, and confirmed with Jackson that it would be okay to use a different credit card for the remaining cost of the move.

It's moving day, and the movers were scheduled to arrive between 8-10am. They called after 10 to say they would arrive at 11. I lived in a high rise and had to book the elevator for a certain shift, which ended at 11am. We manage to shuffle things around, but not without added stress and delays. The movers who showed up were unpleasant, unprofessional, and borderline aggressive in their efforts to squeeze every penny out of me; the power dynamic of them knowing I needed my items moved urgently translated to my consenting to substantial additional costs that I was not prepared for. Three things became clear almost immediately: 1) Each item I wanted moved that was not mentioned in the initial phone call would cost an additional price; 2) They could NOT drop off at two locations, irrespective of proximity and what they agreed to previously, and 3) Payment was only acceptable in cash or Postal Order, which meant I had to run to the bank. Also, when I inquired about which day my items would arrive, they said 10-14 business days, in sharp contrast to the 2-3 business days I was told over the phone. I expressed my feelings of outrage, and the movers encouraged me to call New Frontier Van Lines with my complaints.

I contacted Emily from customer service, who was apologetic and assured me my concerns would be escalated to management immediately, and that they would review the audio from my calls with Jackson. They would call me back later that day to discuss more. Not only did I never receive a call back, but my attempts at contacting them over the next 2 days were unsuccessful with my calls going unanswered. They screen their calls, and were clearly not able to handle the situation appropriately, so they chose to avoid it completely. I was surprised to receive a call from the mover on the next day saying he would be delivering my goods by the following morning; once again a call was promised with an ETA, which I never received. My family who needed to receive the items were forced to reschedule work activities on multiple days to adjust to the constant confusion and misstated delivery times.

The ending is happy in that all of my items arrived two days later and appear undamaged, but I strongly encourage anyone considering this company for their move to go ahead and look elsewhere.

Official company response

Julie,

I am terribly sorry to hear that you have not had a 5-star experience with our company. I have read your review and also conducted some investigation internally to see exactly what had gone wrong. Reviewing your original order from the point of reservation it consisted of a specific amount of items that needed to be moved. There was an outline of an additional dropoff location that was within our mile radius of being a free extra dropoff. The additional drop off location was not provided to our company on the day of your reservation. The address was given though to the driver by yourself on the day of pickup. The reasoning for the additional cost for the drop off was because you were requesting for a pickup in one state a delivery in 2 separate states totaling 3 states of service. It is against USDOT Regulation to deliver the same customer one shipment in more than 1 state. There can only be a service of one state to the other. Also, our company provides an estimate based on the inventory that is provided to us over the phone. If you did have more items that you provided us when you made your reservation then, of course, it would cost more money. When you make your reservation you do sign off on the confirmation of the inventory you provided on the phone with our agent. If you had noticed that you were missing items that you discussed or mentioned we would have had them added during reservation. We know that no one could ever be perfect and we would like to help or make this right in any way. Again I truly am sorry that you are not satisfied with our service. Please Call Our Direct Line 833-851-3035 and ask for Retention Department to solve any outstanding issue or concerns you may have.

Stay Away.

I THOUGHT I did my research before hiring someone to move me from CO to VA. I chose New Frontier Moving based on thier reviews. I had NO idea, they would contract my shipment out to a bunch of thieves who refused to communicate and held my stuff for randsom TWICE. The entire time I thought I was working with ONE company, giving New Frontier a $2150 deposit. When it came time for pick up was when I was told I needed to give AM MOVERS LLC $1794 Who the heck are AM Movers LLC out of Denver CO.. I didn’t hire them. I called New Frontier I thought it was a mistake. NOPE,
I totally understood ESTIMATED” based on inventory. I gave away half my house the night before and still ended up with a total amount due to AM Movers $3280.00 ( for additional “ supplies” ) DOUBLE my original quote. At this point I assumed 1/2 on pick up 1/2 on delivery right.. NEVER assume anything! they took my stuff and I get a call the next day, they wanted $2496.00 to put my stuff on another truck and if I didn’t pay, they would not put it on the truck. ( ransom #1. . I was already locked in , they have my stuff and I am on the road to Virginia. My total move.was at the end of this nightmare was $5;430.87
So now, Fast forward two weeks, YES two weeks after I was told pay this money or we don’t deliver, numerous emails and phone calls later asking where’s my stuff?. I am thinking it’s being sold on eBay at this point. All I was getting was , they will call 24-48 hrs in advance. They gave me FIVE (5 )hrs notice. I was attempting to get the last and final payment in cash from ATM and had a limit. Oh NO, now what?? was told if I dId not give them cash, they will take my stuff to storage. ( randsom #2) I tried to tell the driver that New Frontier and AM Movers said I could give as much cash as possible and charge the rest. His exact words.”I don’t work for either one of them, I just delivery guy, I was hired to deliver only, no cash, no delivery I will take your stuff to storage”. I borrowed the rest. Needless to say, when they showed up here my boyfriend asked me to leave because I probably would have been arrested. I come back half way thru, and “delivery guy says to tells ME to,take the blankets and wrapping off my furniture. I am thinking now, this guy has a death wish..At this point I’m so angry I took all my aggression out ripping thier tape and blankets off I wanted them gone AND they still had half my stuff on the truck, already had thier money, they could just leave, with my stuff. They refused to set up anything, dropped everything ( including three boxes that aren’t mine) . Damaged my brand new washer and dryer. Rude, unprofessional thieves. And in my opinion are a direct reflectionion of New Frontier, which is sad because II did have faith in New Frontier. Do yourselves a favor and STAY AWAY!

Long-distance move from Kennewick, WA to Knoxville, TN

Second part of first review two weeks later.

We still don't have our things and Casey Taylor at New Frontier Van Lines has failed to get us in contact with a supervisor and owner a manager or anyone up the food chain. She has absolutely no compassion and she keeps reiterating that they have fulfilled their part of the contract. Their contract was the first contract in the only a contract we ever intended to sign it turns out there was a long line of Brokers that pad their pockets for to be exact what should have been a $2,000 move is an $8,000 move with tons of headache heartache and constant runaround. Despite what Casey at New Frontier Van Lines has to say their contract has not been fulfilled by them until we receive our things and we get our weight ticket and we get our reimbursements for of the overages.

Long-distance move from Liverpool, NY to Hardeeville, SC

Worst Moving Experience Ever.

Sadly I found New Frontier Van Lines, while looking for assistance with a long distance move, and found they had 4 1/2 stars. I read a few reviews that were glowing so contracted with them. If only I had read on.
I was quoted based on moving a 3 bedroom ranch at $5400. I put half down and was instructed to pay next 1/4 in postal money orders at pickup and last 1/4 in postal money orders at delivery.
Specific dates were promised by sales agent which worked with my house closing and the start of my new job.
From there it was all down hill!! I did not know they subcontract with movers and have little control from there. Communications broke down throughout the rest of what was a nightmare!! My furniture was to be picked prior to my house closing but they never came until the day after closing. You can imagine the trouble that caused with new owners and my delay in leaving to drive to South Carolina.
Delivery was to be 3 days later to work with my new job starting the following Monday. As I am a widow, my brother and wife followed me down to help me settle after the delivery. Sadly they were home almost a week before the movers arrived. At that point I had to take a day off from my new job at no pay. What’s worse the promised delivery time of 8-9AM but did not arrive until 4PM and I could have worked most of the day.
The most distrurbing part of this terrible experience was when the movers’ dispatcher called the day before demanding an additional $1493 in CASH for supposed square footage overage which I protested. I reviewed an item check list with the sales agent when I signed the contract and there were no additional items at pick up. The dispatcher said either I had the cash or the items would be put somewhere and not delivered. The other requirement was the cash had to be handed to the movers before they would off-load.
I now know why, as I started to see the damage to several of my new pieces furniture. The scratches and dents to my dining room table top and legs, in addition to a wooden computer desk and chair and antique headboard made me sick to my stomach. They were unable to reassemble my bed that they disassembled 2+ weeks before.
I reported the damage and cash demand to New Frontier Van Lines customer service and the response was they would email a claim form and requested pictures, but no reaction to the cash demand. I took many pictures while the movers were here and they knew how upset I was. I was told the claim process would take 45-90 days for arbitration. Seriously? I’m considering contacting my attorney anyway with these same details and damage photos.
I’ve learned a lot from this terrible experience and going forward will take the time to read all reviews not just the few glowing ones!

Long-distance move from Midlothian, VA to Scottsdale, AZ

Horrible company that doesn’t keep its promises.

I would give zero stars if possible. We were first lied to about the cost, ended up being double what we were quoted even though we were assured that there was no way we would be over that amount.

We were also told that we would have a trailer to ourselves and that our stuff would be delivered to our new home on the 19th or 20th at the latest. We just found out that they put someone else on the truck with us.

When we received no call on the 19th we called them and were told they would check and call us right back. Two hours later with no call we called them, only to find that the person that we talked to left for the day and now the dispatch was closed and they would call us tomorrow. Once again without a call we called them and got the run around without any real answers. Two days later in the am (Dec 22nd) we were told that our stuff would be delivered on Sunday (Xmas eve). That same evening we found out that it would actually be December 26th. All of our Christmas gifts for our two children are on that truck since we were told it would be here before Christmas. So we now sit here, paying hotel costs and having to eat out every meal for an extra 6 days without them even talking about absorbing any expenses. We also had family that was planning on coming down who now paid for plane tickets that will not be used due to us not having any of our items.

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Georgia

Keep Looking.

After reviewing several moving companies my husband & I chose this company for our move from St Paul, MN to Gainesville, GA. In the beginning our sales rep was very nice and gave us a reasonable quote for our one bedroom loft at about $2600.00. I paid $900 to hold the reservation. They require a 48 hour window for pickup but assured me the day I requested would be the day they would send the drivers. We get a call a day before the truck was to arrive and told they would be at our place Dec 20th between 8-10am. I had requested Dec 21st so this threw a big wrench in our plans but we made it work. The morning of the 20th the driver called me at about 8:45 am (our p/u time was 8-10am that day) letting me know they had me on the schedule the next day (Dec 21st) between 8-10am. I explained there must be a mistake because our pickup was on the 20th - that morning. He told me dispatch must have messed up and gave me the wrong day. Being our belongings were all packed up needless to say that was a long day of just waiting. The following morning I hadn't received any calls letting us know the driver was close so I called customer service and received no answer. My husband then proceeded to also call customer service with no answer. A girl from home calls me back yelling at me for calling her back to back while she was on the other line. Yelling at me!! After explaining our situation she said she would check into it and call me back, meanwhile our truck driver called us and said he was still about 5 hours away and had a drop off along the way. So now our pick up time was pushed back until between 4-5pm. Never received a called back from customer service or dispatch. What a joke. The only person who truly kept in touch with us was the truck driver. So a day and a half later our truck finally got there. It took the guys about 5 hours to load our place. Ofcourse the weight ended up being over what we were quoted and a long haul fee was added bc they had to walk through a garage to get to the truck so we ended up almost $1,000 over what we were originally quoted and required half the money right then. We only had what we were Originally quoted so we had to fumble and figure out how to give these drivers and extra $500 right then. The drivers finished up around 11pm and we started the long drive to GA. The morning of the 27th our driver (same driver from our pickup) called and said he was 30 minutes away. We never received a call from dispatch letting us know what time or even what day to expect the truck. We just received a 30 min heads up from the driver. They unloaded in about an hour and was on their way. In conclusion, dispatch and customer service was awful, we were never updated and had to call them for the info. Our sales rep should have explained there was a good chance the weight and space could be over and to be prepared for that as well as the long haul fee. This was no where near a smooth move. These guys are brokers and only hire other companies for your move. The only good thing I can say is that our truck driver Dray with Direct Vanlines was an amazing guy and the only one who made this move bareable.

Long-distance move from California to Utah

Overpromise and undeliver.

New Frontier has managed to internally streamline the message to their customers, that what they say and what they actually deliver is exponentially different.
What I confirmed during bidding phase:
Yes, we can deliver in 2-3 days of pickup
What was reality:
Delivery 9 days later, after numerous ridiculous, unfulfilled phone calls that promised delivery.
What I confirmed during bidding phase:
Price to move was just under $1725
What was reality:
Total of $2615. According to the crew that picked up shipment, I took up double the original shipping space. I completely admit to the idea of estimation being $100-$250 off, but not certainly by almost $1000.00. A few items I did not remember were in storage, but can testify that what was left out, did NOT take up additional double the space.
The estimator exponentially undersetmiated the freight on the bid, in order to have the ability to essentially charge more and use the on site mover as proof.
What I confirmed during bidding phase:
We only contract with 3 movers..Puma, North American, Giovanni.
What was reality:
None of those companies showed up. A company called Cobra Van lines with employees I was not made aware of, nor given noteice about, showed up in a unidentified generic box truck that you can rent from most any truck rental company.
What I confirmed during bidding phase:
Your stuff will be put on a truck and combined with other shipments to new location but will charged for space on the truck to be able to properly charge for room taken up.
What was reality:
The company that picked my stuff up in fact didn’t need to even use a truck to pick up my stuff. Their storage unit was in fact located in the same storage complex as my stuff. Literally was less than 50 yards distance from unit to unit.
What I confirmed during bidding phase:
I will be charged by weight.
What was reality:
I was not charged by weight. I was charged by space. There were no appliances, no mattresses, no vaults, no major rooms of furniture, nothing of significant weight. They capitalized on the space and not the weight factor, which was a bait and switch incetive for both the sales and packing side of things.
What I confrimed during bidding phase:
They will take credit card as payment. They will deliver when it is convenient to the customer and accommodate their schedule.
What was reality:
If you in fact want to pay by credit card, you will be charged an additional 4%, essentially stating you will pay for their charge fees, plus more, so they can make money.
What was reality:
I was told they wanted to deliver on Christmas Day or New Years Day..UNACCEPTABLE. But because I refused to accept delivery on those days, my delivery to my place would be delayed and if it was on the truck and in transit and I declined delivery, I would be charged a storage fee.
Overall: Cutsomer service will say what you want to hear, but will realistically have zero idea of the reality of the situation.
I was told the holiday season and weather were major factors in the delay of delivery. Truth is, their customer service had ZERO idea of weather almost 3000 miles away. It was a desperate ploy and horrendous excuse to play to justify their inability to actually deliver on their word because in reality, they didn’t know what the weather was like or what other obstacles they could “produce” to justify their atrocious delay in delivering services they proposed weeks ago.
DO NOT HIRE THEM to move your coffee mug from the kitchen counter to your car, let alone your household items from house to house.

Long-distance move from Palatine, IL to West Palm Beach, FL

Great experience.

This is probably one of the best experiences I ever had moving my households and car. I moved from Illinois to Florida and I know this is very common route but I'm pretty sure not all moving company can do that well. On the scheduled day for pick I had one crew coming in the morning and we had some miss understanding. I called customer service to see what is going on and I explained that we have some issues with this guys and I'm not feeling comfortable moving my stuff with this team. They called me in 15 min and assign a new carrier. The new crew came afternoon and did the job extremely careful and fast. Most of the moving company would change you extra money for this incident but not this guys. I usually do not write reviews, but this company really deserve a good one, because most of the people go on this sites just to diss everyone.
By the way they gave me an accurate estimate for about $7500, and it was solid until the delivery, I had no surprises at the end.
So I would really suggest you to use New Frontier Van Lines.

Long-distance move from San Antonio, TX to San Francisco, CA

Right On Time.

I had a last minute move that I had to have done. I booked my move originally with a different company and they had a 2 day window to pick me up. And they never showed up!! I was Frantic!! I had spoken to New frontier van last nea about a month prior and I got a quote from them and I thought the cost was a little to high and I ended up not going with them. SMH now I see why they were more. The funny thing is that Charlie the guy I spoke to before that gave me the quote just decided to call cause he said he knew that was going to happen and he cared enough to make sure I was ok. So on that second day the company called and said they would be a day late to the truck being broke down? I decided to call Charlie back and book my move! I am more than satisfied they were there in 5 hours! Great job great energy great team!

Long-distance move from Midlothian, VA to Scottsdale, AZ

Avoid like the plague.

First, let me say I never write reviews, but this service was so bad I need to warn other people of the fraud you will experience with a large move.
I will discuss three aspects, the pricing, the pickup and the service.

Upon first inventory, I explained we had many large items and very heavy items, in the past it had always taken a trailer to move us from one place to another. We went through a guesstimate because I was giving them 60 days notice on the move. First we were quoted $5900 for up to 11,000 lbs, which I thought was reasonable and consistent. I did reinforce again it would take a trailer, so are you sure. We were advised no way you could possible go over with the estimates they use and pickup would be on December 14th and would take about 7 days. Three days before the move, we gave an updated inventory list and further details and the estimate jumped to 15,000 lbs and $11K for the job, even though we were sold on the idea of $.45 per lb this is a complete lie. It really comes out to almost a $1 per lb in reality. I understand inventory changes and once again understand you are paying for the weight and I again reinforced you must show up with a trailer as we have moved many times.

Let's now talk about reality and December 14th, they actually showed up on the day, late of course, but they did with two people and a 26 ft truck. Right away I knew this was going to be a disaster. I told them you need a trailer for this load and it went downhill from there. The individual could barely speak English, so I had no idea what he was trying to tell me, but he appeared to be trying to haggle me into paying more to bring the trailer direct. I told them just start loading it was already 10 am, so by 3 pm they had run out of space on the truck like I told them would happen. Their answer was to literally start loading stuff on the lift gate on the outside. They realized at that point they had to drop off the stuff, so they left at 5 pm to take it to the trailer and returned at 7 pm, only unloading a portion of the truck. They then proceeded to start loading and once again about 10 pm they started running out of room, so they literally started piling stuff up on the lift gate and taping it to the back of the truck. It was like something out of the stooges, watching these two guys taping stuff almost twelve feet high in the air. After, watching stuff fall off the back on to the cement. I finally called the office and told them somebody or something is going to get damaged. They agreed to come back the next day for the rest, but now I had to go with them to the weigh station at midnight to get the weight. I was in shock, my wife and kids left with the car to go to the hotel of course and I had no vehicle. I had to ride in the truck and then Uber back to my hotel. They came back the next day and then gave me the updated cost. It was now $15,383 for the move. I didn't even know what to say, we had now gone from $5900 to over $15k and if I didn't give them a check right now nothing would happen. We had to get moving, so I agreed and they assured me the trailer was going direct and would be there on December 19th or 20th. This was also what I was told three days prior when they confirmed everything.
Fast forward to December 19th, when I had signed a lease for the new place and call to find out where the stuff is? Guess what delivery is now going to be Sunday December 24th (Christmas Eve). I was outraged, we were paying for a place that was empty, hotel rooms for ourselves and now for company that was visiting. Some company even cancelled their trips. I don't mind it taking longer, but don't lie. Customers service answer was it takes that long to go across country.
On Thursday the delivery driver calls me and tells me what really happen, the only person during this entire process that was honest. It turns out the trailer had about 4-6 ft left on it, so they took another job and the job went really bad and it took additional days. So in order to make a small profit the company lied to us about the delivery and the hold up. In addition, we are now told the reality that the truck would not get there until December 26th, the day after Christmas. This now means all of our kids Christmas gifts would not make it and they would be celebrating Christmas in a hotel room eating Chinese Food.

I do want to be fair and compliment the truck driver, he showed up on December 26th, albeit four hours late, and he did everything he said he would to get the move completed. He was the only blessing in this entire process.

I wish I could say this was made up, but it was so bad of a situation that you couldn't make this stuff up. And this entire time the company had no empathy, would not return calls, would not offer compensation, absolutely nothing about how bad things were for us. This doesn't even describe the thousands in damage we discovered with our stuff.

If you are a small move they are probably fine, but do whatever you can to avoid these people if you have a serious cross country move.

Long-distance move from Daleville, VA to Plano, TX

Good service.

I hired New Frontier to do my move from VA to CA. I had a fully furnished 4 bed 3 bath house with an additional studio in the back of my main home. When I contacted them they were very friendly and kind. They were very detailed when they were going room by room for inventory. I booked the job with them because the price was reasonable. When it was move day they showed up on time loaded everything pretty nicely and were in their way! They delivered on time o had a scratch on my kitchen table but wasn’t too bad they did a claim for me. They were great!

Long-distance move from Lake View, SC to Dallas, TX

New Frontier Van Lines.

I’m not really one for reviews, but I felt that New Frontier Van Lines really deserved some recognition for the 5 star service they provided. The price they gave me was about mid range of the quotes I was getting, but the cost was definitely worth the experience and there was no bait and switch involved. I actually ended up paying less when I came in under the estimated weight and New Frontier Van Lines refunded me the difference! The movers were on time and took really great care of my things during pick up and delivery. Customer service was great with answering my questions and keeping me updated on when my things would be delivered. New Frontier Van Lines made what is a crazy stressful time so much easier so if you are looking for a 5 star mover I suggest you check them out!

Long-distance move from Rolla, MO to Mount Pleasant, SC

Solid customer service with shady contracting practices.

Hired New Frontier after they called with a solid estimate. The salesman assured me of New Frontiers solid reputation and solid customer service and 5 star reviews. After deliberating I decided to hire them for a move form MO to SC. They scheduled me to have my items to be picked up on the 23rd of December and delivered to my new address by the 29th. I was told multiple times this type of move is simple and always arrives within the designated time. At the time I felt confident in their ability to get my move done. Come moving day New Frontier does not show up. They had contracted my job to a local moving company D&H who had the courtesy to inform me there was no way they could make it to my house on the 23rd but would be able to make it on Christmas Eve no later than 12:00. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt however this company calls me again saying they cannot make it until 8pm! I called both New Frontier and D&H to be informed they are no longer in charge of the move as they contracted it out however, they did not know this company would not be able to hold to the time line. Upon discussing my move with this new company, D&H then informs me no way can they make the 29th delivery due to the holidays. Again which should never be the case and when I contacted New Frontier to ask why this was not possible, was told yes we agreed to be delivered on the 29th if possible but it could take up to 15 business days.. Fine I made the move and waited for the new agreed upon date that both D&H and New Frontier stated they should arrive which was the 6th of Jan. Well do you think my items arrived? No! D&H then refused to pick up any calls to verify where my items were and New Frontier just said they were sorry and this shouldn't have happened but it was out of their control! D&H finally made contact on the 12th stating they would arrive on the 13th by 3. Again they no showed and did not arrive until 14th of Jan. D&H (AGAIN THE COMPANY NEW FRONTIER HIRED TO TAKE A JOB THEY WERE HIRED FOR) During this time I constantly called the New Frontier customer service line to be told they don't know what the issue is and they can't get a hold of the company THEY HIRED! When my items finally arrived as asked New Frontier what restitution they would provide due to their failure to hire a reputable company and the issues they caused me. Conveniently for New Frontier the statement was technically the paperwork gave them 30 business days now to get the items there so its not their fault call the shady company they hired (Mind you the one that they cannot even get a hold of for any issues). I will say that the customer service members did their best however this company royal screwed up my move and made my life miserable for over 3 weeks! I would suggest to ensure that if you are even contacted by this company to verify they themselves will move you or you will be stuck with shady companies hired by this company. I sincerely hope New Frontier learns from this and if needed hired reputable companies to handle moves they are not able or unwilling to as well as treat new potential clients better.

Long-distance move from Elephant Butte, NM to Ardmore, OK

Horrible Experience.

Worst experience I've had to go through. I was helping my father move from NM to OK. They quoted me a price which was almost half of any other company that quoted us. Therefore, I went with this moving company. They ended up charging us 3k more than anticipated and our hands were tied as it was less than a week of us closing on our house. They left two items that they realized they had forgotten when they were 2 hours outside of the move. When they got to OK to deliver the items, they basically held them ransom until we paid them. They then informed us that they had forgotten the items and oh well. We received a quote for moving the items left, which was 502.66. The company refused to pay. They also broke tile inside my father's house which cost $476.00 to repair. I have to go through a 3rd party and 6 months to see if they will pay for the damage. This company quotes lower prices to get you to use them and then when it gets close to the move they charge a significant amount more. At that point your hands are tied, because it's too late to get another mover and you've paid partial down. HOW DO THESE PEOPLE SLEEP AT NIGHT?? I WOULD NEVER USE OR REFER THIS COMPANY. Please feel free to pass this information on; as I would have found it helpful.

Long-distance move from Cadott, WI to Brooklyn, NY

Will Use Again.

I first contacted New Frontier Van Lines for my Move from WI to NY. When I first contacted them I was worried cause they say that they do not come out to the location to look at my things before they do the move. We have normally used mayflower because the Military always used them. this time though this was our responsibility. When I contacted mayflower they were too high in price. I Called New Frontier Van Lines I went through an inventory over the phone and my agent was very detailed and was bringing things up that I was overlooking. I just have to say this is one of the best moving experiences I've ever had.
They impressed me the team was amazing.
The crew john the driver was so nice the whole team was nice!

Long-distance move from Sunnyvale, CA to Wheaton, IL

New Frontier Van Lines.

I hired New Frontier Van Lines to move my possessions from California to Illinois and they provided exceptional service from the moment they picked up to the moment they delivered everything to my new home. Their customer service was always available so I was never kept in the dark and everything arrived in one piece. Price was a little more expensive than some of the other companies I considered, but this company was definitely worth the additional cost and I am so very thankful I chose them. Highly recommend!4280.

Long-distance move from Baltimore, MD to Palatine, IL

Best moving company!

I’m super excited about this company, they did a great job moving my stuff from Maryland to Illinois! Before this company I just hated moving. Companies that gives you an estimate, but at the end extra charge you for no reasons, people that are not paying attention to your belongings , that was my experiences before New Frontier Van Lines. I doubted this company , thinking that they are like the other moving companies. They gave me an estimate and at the end it was the same)) moving crew did a great job, packing very careful all my things , and I was so surprised to see that guys are speaking so nice with me and they didn’t even smoke (thank God people like this still exist). They were on time in Illinois, I didn’t have any complaint about the crew. Customer service was excellent, I called them to find out where my stuff is, she was nice with me and gave me an update, it was great to not be stressed out about moving once in my life. I definitely recommend New Frontier Van Lines, and I know for sure that next time I’ll move with them! Thanks people for being so great!!

Long-distance move from Rockville, MD to Fort Worth, TX

New Frontier Van Lines.

New Frontier did an amazing job with my recent move. I had the platinum packing included and they took care of everything! They handled everything with care and had it all packed and loaded fairly quickly. My things were delivered 5 or 6 days later and they contacted me the day before to let me know around what time they would be arriving. The movers unloaded my things with the same great care and they put everything in the room I requested. Reassembly was included and the only thing left for me to do was unpack my boxes. Very professional experience from beginning to end. If you’re looking for 5 star professional movers I definitely recommend New Frontier Van Lines.

New Frontier Van Lines.

I used New Frontier Van Lines for my last move and was really impressed with their services. They were prompt and very professional with handling my household goods. I needed to keep my items in storage for a few weeks as my home was still being renovated, but as soon as I was ready I called New Frontier and received my goods in just a few days. Reasonable price, great service, and friendly staff. I could not have asked for a better moving experience.

Long-distance move from California to New York

Amazing Service!

I don’t usually take the time to write a review. But now that I’m settled in I believe New Frontier Van Lines deserves it. I had to move from California to New York for my job and it was somewhat sudden notice. I had about a month to do all this and continue doing my job. You could imagine. Fortunately, I made the right decision choosing New Frontier Van Lines to facilitate my move.

Jason walked me through the steps and was very attentive and professional, even while I was on edge. He answered all my questions and didn’t mind going over everything. I would recommend them to anybody who needs to move and doesn’t want to deal with the stress that comes with that move.
