US Household Moving & Storage

They are scammers. They don't own their own trucks and you will pay them $600+ to make a phone call to a different company and hire them for you. This is why they never have answers..because if you call and ask them a question, they have to call the other company to get the answers. Instead of $2000, my move could have been $1300.

This is not to mention how entirely RUDE they are. Chris P., Bethany, Venessa..all rude and completely unprofessional.

Broker moving company; beware!!

Very disappointed with this process. The initial process was easy and seemed relatively easy. Steve worked with us on the initial contract to get the ball rolling. Five days before our move, we received a scheduled call from Quality Control to discuss the final details. We went over the inventory and added a few additional items to the list (my fault and oversight) which amounted to an additional $1700 dollars! Are you kidding me? For a kayak, floor lamp, side table and chest of drawers? Not only that, we were told that we had to pay an additional $631 that day, deposited my money order to their Chase Bank Account. I could not give them my details over the phone. That made both my husband and I feel super creepy about the integrity of the company. Day of pick-up, the local moving company was outstanding. However, we were told my Quality Assurance Glen that we should follow the truck after being loaded to ascertain the final weight of the truck. The movers told us that we would be charged by cubic feet, which would cost us even more than the $4700 quoted price. We have TWO bedroom apartment! Two bedroom. As a vet who has moved all over the world, I'm appalled and disappointed in a vet run company who lies and misdirects their customers. No integrity.

I've moved every two years for a decade. I've NEVER had a worse experience.

First they give a great rate. Then they bully you into higher rate with threats that they'll leave your stuff once time has passed and you don't have time to hire someone else.

Called me two days before pick up and tripled my costs, knowing I had a deadline and couldn't get another mover on such short notice.

Next day moved up my move by a day. I stayed up all night to make sure things were packed and ready. Then hey didn't show up. I only learned they weren't coming when I called because it was an hour after pickup time. I had waited all day and got a hotel room because everything was packed. So, more $$ out of my pocket.
As of this wasn't enough, I started getting conflicting calls from their subcontractors (I wasn't made aware that they were subcontracting my move) with different pickup times and the subcontractors were very rude and disrespectful to me because I didn't know what US Household had arranged with them.

Finally confirmed pickup date and time for theb4th time and noone showed up. So, half an hour after pickup time, I call and found out that it would be delayed again. So now we have to get another hotel and spend more money plus pay another mo this rent so all in all over $3K more than originally quoted (before anything was even picked up) and another $3K for rent and additional expenses.

As if this isn't enough insult to injury,the agents are rude, unhelpful and liars and will offer nothing to correct the situation. I am reporting to DOT, Bbb and everywhere I can. So unacceptable.

We have a very big house, so wanted to use a company we could fully trust with belongings (there are alot of them!) US household moving and storage in fort lauderdale had great reviews so we gave them a try. Also a friend of mine recommended them that they find the best movers and coordinate the whole thing. The price is reasonable and actually lower than other places we got an estimate from. They delivered all of our things within 4 weeks and not one item was damaged. I'm very happy with how they run their operation, so I recommend US Household Moving without hesitation.

Worst experience of my life. US Households is a terrible company with terrible customer service. They are a broker and sell your information to hustlers. I gave the company plenty of notice and what day I need to be out of rental. They didn't show. They sent a different company the day AFTER I was supposed to be out. At 8 PM at night. Then they tried to upcharge me 2,500 dollars more than original estimate AFTER my things were loaded on the truck. I refused their new estimate and told them to call US Households. It was late and no one answered. My things were already on truck, they refused to take them back off and kept trying to force me to sign their new revised estimate. We ended up taking our whole life off the truck ourselves in middle of the night and placing our belongings in the street. Items were damaged due to hostile situation. Police were called. The next day we got a Penske rental and moved our belongings ourselves across country. Had to leave a vehicle behind. Customer service blocked me and wont let me talk to a supervisor. They have not answered my emails. Also refusing to give deposit back, because I wouldn't agree to inflated estimate! They are scam artists! Do Not use this company.

Scammers is right. Do not use this company. I have paid $4200.00 for them to make a phone call. They are brokers but DoNot represent themselves as such. I truly thought I was working with an agent I was quite surprised to find out that the movers don’t receive any of the 4200$ or any of the so called deposit money. I realized I was working with a broker when Empire Van Lines was moving my goods. They showed up two days late with a Budget Rental Truck because the drivers truck broke down in Atlanta. Of course I don’t know if that was true. I have never been lied to as much as by these people. My furniture is in a storage unit in Nc (don’t know where)and Empire can't give me a date for delivery because they don’t have any trucks headed south. So Us Household did not fulfill its contract. It did not set me up with a reputable company. Safe yourself a $4000 phone call. Once the mover gets to your home the contract is final with U S Household. Then another contract is required by the moving company This experience has been so stressful and so Totally unprofessional I may not receive my goods for 30 days. I can not express enough. Buyer Beware. This move is costing me close to $10,000 should have been less that I have two bedrooms of small furniture the rest was in. boxes. I could go on but I feel the above is enough to warn folks from being so taken advantage of.

One word to describe my experience would be pure professionalism. From the very beginning, these guys tried very hard to make our experience positive. The movers are very nice and the lead driver Drew handled the moving crew very well. The prie is negotiable if you know how to talk with them, we were able to get free wrappings and packing which was very helpful. Their customer service and communication is nothing to complain about -- we were able to read ou r rep at any time. Thank you for a job well done.
