What a horror story. Cannot imagine a move that could be worse. Roland the recruiter was full of misinformation and C.S. Staffer Tina was not empathetic and in turn was full of excuses and putting the blame on us. Movers were here on June 10th for pick up and as of this date of 7/20/21, over a month later, I was just told ALL of our belongings would be here in over a week or so. None of this was made clear to my husband and the delivery date waiting period was minimized to get us to sign on and make the down payment. Our belongings are held hostage in Sacramento CA and we await their delivery. We are living on blow up beds and Good Will household goods.

When they first picked up our load they misjudged our belongings and we waited 5 hours for them to pick up a bigger truck causing us to have to reschedule hotel stays. No communication from them unless we called them and most times would not answer or return our calls of concern. My husband is a Vietnam combat veteran and proved to be too much for him. He was admitted to the VETERANS ADMINISTRATION with a stress related reaction to all of the uncertainty and non communication from customer service. Customer Service person, Tina nor anyone else would give us a status of our belongings. This is an egregious event to expect any customer to tolerate. We are in our new home and over one month later we still have not received our belongings. These movers will not make an adjustment for a lower estimate for the many errors that were made. We still will have paid over $18,000 for a move and over one month later have not received our items.

A great job handled well by a professional and reliable moving company. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because I skipped on writing a review after I used them last year, even though they did just as good. With two good moves in a row, I made it a point to let the world know how good they are. They employ experienced and courteous movers, as well as a proficient customer service team. One side handles all the admin and the other excels at just moving things quickly. I recommend them highly.

Our real estate agent recommended United Nation Van Lines to us. We trusted their word since they obviously see these guys’ work often and that trust paid off. The movers we had were young and physically fit. They made short work of our 3 bedroom house in Arizona, getting it packed and loaded in a few hours. It was good to see that their truck was as clean on the inside as it was outside. Delivery went off seamlessly, too. I have seen some complaints about their pricing but I feel it’s pretty reasonable given the great work they do.

Please listen to me when I tell you that you should RUN AS FAST as you can away from this company.

Not only were our movers 3 hours late, they took over 7 hours to empty a less than house that was already ALMOST empty.

Despite giving them an itemized list from which we received a quote, once they packed up the truck they let us know that they would be charging us double.

They are charging for 1600 sq feet on the truck, despite the fact that the totality of space in our ( again, nearly empty ) house was just over 1,600 feet.

Heed my advice and stay away if you don’t want to be ripped off.

Nothing but 5 stars for a company that always comes through for us. We have been using them for years now and can’t imagine having to rely on others. The team almost seems like family because they are so friendly and courteous. I had used other movers in the past who did a reasonable job but never were able to connect with us as people, too. United Nation Van Lines is a premium option, though. You won’t get bargain basement prices. However, you will get speed, security, safety and a guarantee of a reliable team on the ground and in their office. Recommended.

Highly recommended to me and now I am highly recommending to you! I was a complete moving novice before this and the real estate agent who sold my old place in Colorado suggested that we try United Nation Van Lines when we moved to California. Obviously, being in the realty game meant that he knows who the better players are in this industry, too. That was proven when we shared the price we paid with our new neighbors – they were shocked that they had paid so much more for similar moves. They were also impressed by how quickly the men managed to get us unloaded, unpacked and all moved in. Great experience and we’re very thankful to United Nation Van Lines!

I’m not the type of person who leaves reviews but this was a special case. My dad hired United Nation Van Lines to move him from a multistory housing complex to a one-floor elderly-friendly home. I was there on moving day to supervise and was very impressed by the movers. They were very considerate, including with answering my dad’s thousand questions. Their work is simply impeccable. Very fast, very orderly, and very careful. I haven’t hired movers myself before but if I had to I would definitely call United Nation Van Lines. A very deserving 5 stars from me and my dad.

United Nation Van Lines made my recent move to Texas the best that I have ever had. They were very fast and careful, knew the best ways to carry things without damaging them and were a courteous bunch of guys. We had no issues with timing since they always arrived early for both loading and unloading, and were also finished ahead of time in both cases. I have used many moving companies but this is undoubtedly the best one of them all. I hope to use them again soon. 5 stars from me for everyone involved.

This is a ‘thank you review’ of sorts, which United Nation Van Lines totally deserves apart from the 5 stars their hard work has earned them. We were moving my 4-bedroom home in Tennessee into a similar 4-bedroom house in Maryland. We hired United Nation Van Lines because they have proven themselves the only ones capable of reliably handling such a large job. There is never a question of unpacking to find your things broken with these guys. Not only do they load and unload with utmost care, they also pack items with a lot of attention. Their punctuality is also a major plus point for me. I have always recommended them to friends and family, and you should give them a try, too.

Our moving experience with United Nation Van Lines was very smooth and cordial. The movers worked almost like machines, not wasting any time in chatting and hanging around. No surprises that they completed the move on time and did a great job of it. It also helps that the men are genuinely great people who respect their customers and want to do a good job. If more companies were like this, movers wouldn’t have such a bad reputation. I had hired them to move my 3-bedroom house from Denver, CO to Illinois.

Don't be bamboozled. These guys are a joke. I am convinced that the reviews you are seeing online are all done internally and are fake. They have maybe a total of 3/4 workers that take calls and book deals. Richie, Lisa, and one more warehouse manager.

The process: They hire crews for each part of your job. Packing, loading, unloading, delivery, and finally unloading your stuff. The ONLY part they will take responsibility for is... Nothing. It's actually brilliant. Why? Because they have built a system where they can point to any other 3rd party and say it's their fault. Therefore, you are stuck holding the short end of the stick WHEN (not if!) anything happens. You are forced to take it up with the 3rd party responsible. And let me tell you... that's nearly impossible as you don't know who they are or what company they have (if any).

It took our stuff almost a 30 days post pick-up to make it to our house. It should have been sooner, but one of the 3rd party drivers picked up the WRONG stuff and brought it to our house. When I called United Nation they said it was not their issue and that it was the driver's fault. Well, I couldn't take it up with this particular driver as he had someone else's stuff and he just left to deliver it to the correct location. SO... we waited an additional 10 days to get our correct stuff.

I was told by United Nation that I would receive a call to make things right at the very end of my move... I have YET to receive a call and it has now been 14 days since our stuff was dropped off.

We were ultimately charged $4K more than what we were quoted.

My calls were screened by United Nation and I never ONCE received a call back from them even though I was told numerous times that I would receive a call back. The only way you will get anything done and get any information is IF YOU continually call and IF they decide to answer your call(s).

When I called to ask about the manager or owner... I was told he was too busy.

Ultimately, a terrible experience. Again, they have built a system where it will NEVER be their fault and it will leave you with short end of the stick. Do not use them. You will regret it. Don't be tempted to use them because of the "low" price they quote you. It will NOT end that way. Proceed with caution.

Just the perfect moving experience from the first time we contacted them to the day they delivered all our things and waved goodbye. We hired United Nation Van Lines to move our 3-bedroom house from Baltimore to Palm Bay, FL. They were recommended to us by our friends who move quite often and swear by them. Our experience with United Nation Van Lines matches what they told us – the people are polite, they stick to the timeline they give you, and you can be sure that there are no surprise charges tacked on at the end. I am very happy to have hired them this time and would do so again.

When we signed the contract with United Nation Van Lines, we were given the option for immediate delivery, which we informed the movers we wanted. This move consisted of pick up in Wisconsin and delivery to North Carolina.

Pick up of our items went as scheduled. However,they charged an additonal$1400 because they "had to repack some boxes to accommodate the cubic footage." We had to pay this amount at the time of the pick up, and our final payment amount has increased as well.

The first available delivery date was 2 days after pick up. Now, over a month later, we do not even have an estimated delivery date.

Our load date has repeatedly been changed. Until our items are loaded (because they have stored them of their own accord), they can't even give us a delivery date.

NEVER at any time has the company returned my calls when a message has been left, or have they ever called with an update when they said they would call.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $15000

Deceit is built into every element of this company, get you hooked with a low estimate, get a securinty deposit of thousands, get a truck too small for the load, get into your house with crew and boxes and announce that the estimate must be recalculated. This for us increased the cost from about 12k to about 20k. We could take it or leave it, too late for getting the deposit back. This is a mid stream hostage situation. Too committed to timing to start over. Contract is binding on client, but has a list of spaces for the mover to add more costs after getting posession of your stuff, which is illegal. Never on time, said about 7 days to move us, took the max of 17 days, which had us camping out for 2 weeks in a house without furniture. Showed up half a day late on move day. Never on time, very hard to get on the phone, some abusive on the phone,, never call back. Lied about costs of mid stream recalculation saying it was same per unit as the original, but they added a surcharge for everyghing beyond the original estimate, which was their intentional underestimate. They owe us thousands in refund due to this. They broke fine china by putting it flat in the bottom of boxes and putting heavy objects on top, crushing various china platters and cups. They broke plates, platters, glass in the china cabinet and framed pictures, cups, glasses, a clock, the Tiffany lamp, most floor lamps sprung from the base and wobbly, a wall clock, a padded antique rocking chair which they abandonded and did not move, and bent a frying pan, to name a few. We have about 100 pictures of damage which i will try to attach to a subsequent post. The consumer affair web site is a fraud, and that is what led us to this horrible company. They dumped clothes into the wardrobe boxes without hangers, packing suits and good clothes into a mashed mass, and on occasion mixed other stuff in the clothes. They lost the key to the china cabinet, broke some of the glass in that cabinet, and broke the leaded glass Tiffany lampshade, the most valuable object we had, by pressing the edges hard down across a metal pipelike base without padding. Their liablility for a $300 lampshade is $0.60 per pound, so if this weighed 5 pounds and they paid you wou,ld get $3. I paid $175 in the contract for the upright piano which they then refused to move so i eveintually paid them $200 more cash on site to get them to move it. They lease trucks and hire contractors for the work. One individual, who i think was an employee, vandalized our stuff by intentionally packing it to break. This was often by putting large china platters in the bottom of a box and piling pots on top with no padding. They bent a fryng pan. The contract employees usually did a good job, but the prevailing outcome of this move was horrible due to the initial deceit of the first sales contract, and the malign and hostile behaviour or the first supervisor (loading) to set so much of our stuff up for destruction. Stay away from these people, do not believe a word they say, and do not rely on Consumer Affairs as an honest reporter.

A very careful and experienced team of movers. My huge collection of fragile and breakable glassware was my biggest concern and they handled it with aplomb. Really impressed by the quality of the packing material as well as the way that all the items were packed, complete with waterproofing and impact resistance (bubble wrap inside and outside the boxes). For the amount of effort that they had to put in, the job was done reasonably fast and I think the cost was just right. I would hire this company again. (We were moving from Texas to California).

An efficient and professional moving crew managed by a very capable manager, and supported by excellent customer service staff. That is United Nation Van Lines in a nutshell. I recommend using them for any move because I have used them to shift my office to new premises, change homes, and even move things into storage. Each time, I get nothing but perfection. I have never had a reason to complain about their efficiency, speed, courtesy, safety, or price. Okay, re-reading that I know it seems like I’m some sort of fanboy but it is just my honest experience so I’m not going to change it. United Nation Van Lines is the best!

I hired United Nation Van Lines to transport my collection of antique clocks from Harrisburg, PA to MT Pleasant, SC. This was the second time I have hired them for such a delicate job. The first was such a success and I did not want to rely on another unknown company. As before, United Nation Van Lines’s assessor came in to appraise the items for insurance, etc. and gave me a fair quote. The movers who would be moving also came and they asked me questions about what to watch out for, etc. to keep each clock safe. On moving day, they followed all my instructions to the letter. My whole collection is now safely in SC, thanks to these wonderful people. Thank you.

We hired United Nation Van Lines only because they were the fastest to get back to us at a time when we were desperate to move so my husband would be eligible for a promotion. It’s really fortunate that we got what we found to be one of the best companies in the moving business. Their prices may not be the lowest but they are certainly very far below the brand-name ones, too. However, I would say that the value for money we got was much better with United Nation Van Lines than with any other company we have hired. An easy recommend and even easier 5 stars.

When choosing a company to handle my cross-country move (Los Angeles, CA to Alexandria, VA), I chose to go with United Van Lines. They provided the lowest bid, seemed to have positive reviews, and the moving rep was extremely communicative and helpful.

Prior to the move, I signed a binding NOT-TO-EXCEED contract for the move. According to this document, the total cost of the move (divided amongst three payments) was to be $9281.00. But after picking up my belongings, the company contacted me to inform me that my bill had risen over $3000 to a new total of $12,482. I asked why, as I had not authorized this amount, and I was told that a billing specialist would contact me.


To this day, despite multiple calls, texts, and phone messages, no billing specialist has ever returned my call.

I opted to pay this exorbitant total (otherwise, my belongings were basically being held for ransom). When the delivery people arrived at my new house, they were completely unprofessional and untrustworthy. One kept asking me the price of various belongings, while another gave me a speech about how Covid was a “fake news story” and vaccinations are for idiots. My fiancé and I felt incredibly unsafe.

On top of this, the movers did a terrible job— they dented our front door, put huge gouges in the walls, and lacked the strength to carry a couch upstairs (we wound up having to hire a separate moving company to finish the job). In addition, two televisions were broken in the move, and several pieces of art turned up missing.

We don’t usually hire professional movers but my husband was recovering from a pretty major sports injury so we decided to splurge this time. United Nation Van Lines came highly recommended by a couple of our friends who had moved to Baltimore, MD recently. When we called their office, they were very eager to help and explained the procedure and costs to us very clearly. We called up a couple of other movers in the area after that but neither gave us the positive vibes we got from United Nation Van Lines. They lived up to the great impression we had of them when they pulled off the operation without a hitch. 5 stars from us.

I moved from Colorado to Texas and had United Nations Van Lines pick up my things July 21 and store for a month. I requested a move date on Aug. 19 for delivery on Sept.4, 2021. Today is Friday Oct.1, 2021. I have cried, begged, pleaded, offered to come hire anther company to come get my things, I have people ready to go get my stuff. No one calls me, no one answers the phone, I was called on Sept 28th and told my things are loaded and I will get a call the 29th with a delivery day. Nothing. Monday October 4th will be 30 days since my initial requested date. At this point, I can only assume they have stolen my things, and defrauded me of over $ 8000.00. I would love to feel different, but they do not answer/return calls or answer emails. I call every day multiple times.

I don't even care about my furniture, just my kids keepsakes and all my family pictures. These people do not care at all. This has been devastating.

United Nation Van Lines has made it a habit to impress us every time we hire them with their professionalism, speed and courtesy. Every time we hire them for a job, we know that it is almost like having your friends help you move houses. The moving men are very friendly to us and we can see that there is great camaraderie between them as well. That easygoing attitude makes for a very pleasant time for all concerned, and you need that at a stressful time like a move. In the end, though, the best feature of this company is their willingness to put your needs ahead of their convenience. I really loved having them help us and would hire them again.

United Nations Van Lines contract implies delivery will occur no more than 17 business days following my contacting them to request delivery. I contacted them on August 30, 2021 stating that my house is ready on September 8, 2021 and I am ready to receive my furniture. Now they are saying that I requested delivery as of the 8th which I did not. Today is October 2, 2021, 24 days post contact, and United Nations Van Lines will not give me a date for delivery. They have stated that DOT allows them 30 business days, which I don't believe to be true. No where in their contract does it state that they have 30 days in accordance with DOT compliance. United Nations has failed to communicate its' intentions, and is out of compliance with the intent of their contract. They have my money, and my belongings are being held hostage.

I made the decision to move from Virginia to Myerstown, PA at pretty short notice and turned to the only moving company I know that does a good job in these situations: United Nation Van Lines! They had helped my parents move homes closer to me when my dad was about to have surgery a couple of years ago. My mum still remembers them for how efficiently they worked and how nicely they spoke to them. Customer service is this company’s forte and they charge less than many of their competitors. For me, that is the perfect deal. Great job.
