Please note the positive reviews use similar language. It is bogus. Look them up , they have NO COMPANY License. We were completely conned. They gave us a quote and then doubled it after taking our belongs. They subcontract out to companies in many states which makes it a federal crime but difficult to prosecute. Interstate Commerce Fraud is covered by the FBI plus you can make a civil suit at one of their listed companies in Florida, Illinois, or New Jersey. They broke lamps, dishes, crystal, and they did not have packing materials eg. scratched furniture. They were supposed to put my clothing in wardrobe boxes but instead smashed them into little boxes. They doubled the cost and made us give them check, credit card, and money orders. You cannot contact them once they have your stuff. They will not reassemble furniture as promised in contract. they left items behind at my old address. They all lie.

I started working with United Movers about a month ago for my move to North Carolina and just finished up today. I had to share my experience because I have moved several times and this was certainly a breath of fresh air compared to my last experience. I was very impressed by the commitment of my agent he was very through and precise going through my estimate and we made sure I was not going to pay more when my move was done because that was my last experience. But this time I paid exactly what I was quoted and the movers were extremely professional and took care of my furniture like it was their own. I have no say nothing but good things about this company and hopefully I will never have to move again but if I do this company would be the only call I make.

I can't tell you how delightful our experience was with United Movers Group! My Wife can attest from the Florida side, but the guys here in LA- John, Mark &a Anthony were all professional, upbeat and effective. They hoisted several large pieces through our second floor window with ease and skill making it look effortless. They also were able to maneuver several extremely delicate and fragile items of extreme sentimental value with care which helped us both rest easier knowing the items were in such good hands. When they got to our destination they took extra time to make sure things were placed exactly where we wanted them to minimize any stress for us and make our lives so much easier! So thankful that we found United Movers Group-Would highly recommend them to our friends and family and will use them again in the future if ever needed.

I would like to share my experience about my moving with United, the came at the time of the pickup, were very detailed about the procceess and start working immidietly, took great care for my furnitures, were very efficient on the pickup and the drop off.
As far as pricing I end up paying $100 more couse I added more boxes.
I was very happy with their service, made this stressing day much better!!
I would highly use and recommend them to anyone in the future.

I was first contacted by a polite rep. From United for my move to New Jersey from Florida for my 4 bedroom house. I spoke with a man named Frank who was extremely educated in the moving business. I have never done a long distance move with a moving company before. After being explandied how everything was going to work he took down my inventory and gave me a quote. The quote was a little bit more than my budget so I dicided to shop around a bit, but I was not impressed. The few moving company's I did talk to were not professional and did not have great reviews and didn't offer the amenities I needed. I ended up responding to one of uniteds emails and said I would like to book with them but in a week. They responded promptly and a week later I was booked and gave my deposit they also were able to get me 20% off my original estimate because it was still in the off season! I was very happy but most of all felt save and confident about it all! This company was flawless from start to finish. Truck showed up on schedule date and time movers were friendly and efficient. I didn't have to lift a finger. It was awesome the packed everything tight, believe me I checked! They said they could deliver in 7-10 days and it came on the 8th day. There was no issues no delays. I just want to say thanks for making my move easy and stress free!! The best part knowing my items would be delivered and in one piece and United did that for me!

I hired United Movers Group about 3 months ago for my move to IN and I couldn't of made a better choice. I would with a gentleman named Chris and he was very polite and was always there for me if I had any questions. I have used a moving service in the past for my move to Chicago and it was not the worst but this time I felt extremely comfortable in my choice. When the movers came to my home I had a little more then expected but I had no issue paying the extra few dollars after the way they handled everything. My furniture arrived to my new home the same way it left my old and the men maneuvered everything in without a scratch. I have to say thank you to United Movers and I thank you guys for everything.

I July 2017 I contacted United movers Group for a move from Calif to Idaho. They told me that I must submit a $4900 deposit to schedule the move. They said that the move is completely cancel bowl and the refund for the deposit would be given if the movers canceled. I subsequently canceled the move due to not being able to sell our home.

I have contacted them several times beginning August 16 at which time I canceled the move properly through their website. I never received a refund the first time because they smelled it to the wrong address. They claim they canceled the check in October and issued another went to the proper address. It is now the end of November and I have not seen the check. They claim that they have issued several checks in there then accused me of trying to commit fraud on the company. Walter basically told me today there’s nothing I can do that there’s a check out there and then they’re not going to issue another one. And he believes that I’m trying to commit fraud on the company. They have my $4900. They are not going to give it back.

After reading the reviews I understand now what are evil evil company this is. They operate between the legal cracks extort money from you in the form of a deposit which you should never, never, never, never give to a moving company prior to the move.

They have stolen my money because I’m ignorant of what they are. They are not movers they are brokers. They provide no service in there is no reason to ever, ever, ever use a company like this. These guys have got it figured out how to extort money from people that are uninformed about how moving works.

Any positive reviews are for sure send in by Scheels of the company. This guy Walter is slick I mean really slick and they know how to steal your money and they know they can get away with it. Whatever you do there’s no reason to deal with this company or any like it ever. Once I made my move with the proper company it was smooth as glass.

They have stolen $4900 from me. They claim that they have sent a refund check but they have not and will not provide proof of payment.

You must understand these are evil evil evil evil people waiting to take your money and laughing all the way to the bank.

Seriously, please PLEASE do not use this company. They do NOT do your move personally, they are BROKERS. I was quoted a price of $1260 for my move from Florida to Pennsylvania. My sales rep, Garrett, was always available, until I paid the deposit ($441). The remainder was to be paid 1/2 during pick up and the rest at delivery. I wast old they would have a 48 hour window for pick up, but if you read the fine print. they can pick up 48 hours BEFORE or AFTER your window. So really, its a 7 day window.

I called the week of my pick up and they told me that dispatch would be contacting me 24 hours before they arrived. I scheduled a wed-thurs pick up because I was leaving town on Friday. On Tuesday and Wednesday there were no calls, and I was starting to get frantic, assuming no one would be coming. I actually listed my shipment on UShip (a shipping website where people bid on your shipments, basically you are the broker and cut out the middle man), and had someone willing to come pick up my stuff Friday morning in case they didn't come. I was so upset, and ready to write off my deposit as a loss. On thursday afternoon, someone called to say they were coming on Friday. Stating the usually lies that there were problems with the trucks etc. I said this was unacceptable as had a one way train ticket out of town friday morning. They ended up showing up at 8:30 pm on Thursday night to load the truck. I paid them the 1/2 remainder of the balance ($410). They arrived in an enterprise truck, NOT an individually owned truck. I was told my delivery window would be 14 business days.

I waited 14 business days. During and after this time, there was absolutely no contact from United Movers Group. Whenever I would call customer service, I would be on hold for HOURS. Finally, a month later they contacted me to deliver my items. I was told, however, that since my address wasn't accessible by 18 wheeler that my balance due was $850 instead of $409. I told him point black that I didn't have the money, and the best I could do was $550.
They arrived to deliver my items, and the boxes looked like they had been through a smashing machine. Completed dented and ripped on all side. I received everything, minus my television. They also arrived in an enterprise truck, however the people who picked up my stuff were not the same people who delivered it.
When looking at moving companies, do yourself a favor and do NOT use this one.
After reading all the reviews, every move from this company sounds the same. Broken promises, broken/missing items and charge you more on delivery.

TLDR: Don't use this company, they are liars who will steal from you and charge you more than the estimate. They make false promises and are impossible to get a hold of after they take your money. Use Pods or another cube service instead, or list the move yourself on Uship, you can control who will ACTUALLY be moving your stuff.
