I stumbled across United movers group by chance. I had filled out a request for moving quotes online and was bombarded by what felt like 1 million companies talking 1,000,000 miles an hour with no real information about their company. when I finally heard about the ins and outs of the moving industry with my sales representative from United movers group, who spent an hour and a half on the phone with me going over department of transportation information carriers versus brokers Answered every single one of my questions and then got on the phone with my husband and answered every single one of his questions as well. This company was not the cheapest option or the most expensive option, just like my representative explained they are the middle of the moving food chain. They gave me an estimate Of an inventory that I had provided I literally gave them every piece of furniture in my house, as I was instructed to do. I wound up selling several pieces of big furniture, and my estimate went down considerably. As the movers loaded my belongings into the truck they went over any additional questions that I had, showed me exactly how much space I took up on the truck, and explained the delivery process. This was such a pleasant moving experience, I had read so many reviews for so many different companies, talk to other friends who had moved with different companies, and found myself bang my head into a Wall until united movers group called me. Thanks for the seamless move.

I have to say United Movers made this very stressful situation a pleasure for me. Even though I was a little hesitant with going with a company to do my move I am definitely pleased with the men that came out and picked up my belongings. Between the customer service and the workers that came to do the moving I give them two thumbs up. I always see both good and bad reviews with companies but the only thing I can speak on is my experience and I paid almost exactly what was quoted to me and everything was delivered the same way it was picked up. Thank you United you guys are amazing.

This is my third time using United Movers. I first used them in 2004 and again in 2009. This time they moved my husband and I to Boca Raton from Fresno, California. They did the inventory over the phone. They included all my t.v. boxes and matress covers for free. They also gave us the military discount which they have given us twice before. The day of the move was two weeks ago. They came when they said and did everything to make sure every one of our things made it safely to Boca. They told us our furniture and boxes took up a lot less space then estimated and told us we only owed $900 on delivery. That's 800 off then estimated. We received everything today. They told us on pick up it would be today or tomorrow. Hopefully this will be our last move but if not we will use our United Movers group again.

We decided to sell our house in Cincinnati to move closer to our family in Florida. I've never moved before and received prices anywhere from 1800 to 7000. I couldn't understand how the prices could be so off. United Movers Group was almost right in the middle and I appreciating having the reps personal cell phone. On the day of the move I received a call from the driver saying he was an hour away. When he got there we did a walk through and made a list and took pictures of some of the furniture that was a little nicked. They loaded everything up and after loading was the money part. I was prepared to pay the asking 3300 for the move when the driver told me my delivery balance was 400 less due to taking up less space. I told the guy if you can get my stuff to Florida on Friday I'll tip you 200 well they got there Thursday. I'm a man of my word and I was happy to tip the hardworking young men.

When I got the news that my job and position was relocating to a different state I first went into a panic. I wasn't even sure where to get started as I never made a move this far before and never with a wife and two small children. Then a friend of mine John recommended United Movers Group. Once I contacted them the gentleman I spoke to Chris was able to not just put me at ease but my wife too and that is hard to do. Chris was so helpful coordinating everything . The level of professionalism from Chris and his entire team was just amazing. I know tell anyone who is ever looking for a professional seamless move to call United Movers..

I can't believe this company. They are amazing. Great price, great employees, and great service. I did a full pack with united and they came in and took care of my household items like it was there own. They took the stress off me and my husband and were so NICE and efficent. They showed up in my new house and set up everything and just made TV new home feel special. United was great - thank you for being a part of this new chapter in our lives and making it so wonderful!!

Choice on moving I went online like most people do looking for a quote to move. If I would've known all the responses I would've received I would've found another way. I count myself lucky for having united movers group being the one that I answered. They were so thorough and honest and my move went as expected. If you're really for an honest stress free move you need not call anyone else but United movies group. My rep was James but I'm sure they're all qualified and ready to help you have a stress-free move. Thank you so much for following through with everything you said.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They will RIP YOU OFF!! I was given an ititial estimate by United Movers Group of $3200 to move me from Md to Fla. Later the estimate increased to $6300. Then, on my pickup date, June 22, the cost increased to almost $10k! The movers initially showed me my "space" on a 26' (?) truck, stating it was my 1700+ cubic feet. When I used their own dimensions, I proved to them that they had only designated 1400 cf. They apologized and moved the marker out giving me my actual amount. Then they stated I didn't have room for all of my stuff and it would cost me another $2-$3k. They made it a POINT to tell me if the boxes and items did not have their numbered labels, they did not go on their truck! After I borrowed $3700 MORE from a friend, they left. They told me that the SAME truck would go directly to Fla with NO transfer to a Semi. After they were gone, I went back into the house and discovered they had left my $1400 bed AND more than 17-5 cf boxes WITH THEIR LABELS, behind!! I have made over 45 phone calls to them, trying to get the date of delivery and an adjustment for all the things left behind BUT LISTED ON THE TRUCK INVENTORY! .. to NO AVAIL. They either never answer the phone, don't return my pleading voicemails, or tell me they will look into it and NEVER call me back! This Thursday, July 6, will make 3 weeks that they have had my items basically held hostage! The contract stated delivery by the 26th of June, but not more than 14 days from pickup. I'm devastated mentally and financially by the fraud and ruthless tactics of this Mover!! I have had to spend thousands of dollars in addition to their almost $10k estimate, just to be able to FUNCTION!! Something must be done against this company. They lie to consumers, ignore consumers, overcharge us, and hold our lifelong possessions hostage and there's nothing we can do about it!! PLEASE Help!! This company should lose its license or be FINED!!

I hired United Movers in good faith based on the positive (fake!) reviews online and am very disappointed and out a $735 security deposit that I'll never see again.

I authorized a debit of $735 from my bank account by United Movers Group based on a moving contracted initiated on April 28, 2017 (reference no. U7981482). Sales rep Vanessa (ext. 423) told me that the company was a full service moving company with its own salaried movers and owned moving trucks and emphasized that it did not subcontract out moving jobs and that they were more reliable and professional than brokered moving companies. Vanessa also performed a moving cost estimate of $2,100 based on 518 square feet calculated by their own questionnaire and their company's estimation software.

My June 11, 2017 move with United Movers Group occurred with no communication initiated from them the day before or during to provide a moving time or contact information for my assigned mover. I attempted to contact the company multiple times throughout the day by both phone and email and was unable to reach anyone. Movers finally showed up at 5PM on June 11th in an unmarked moving truck and without any paperwork or identifying information on them to show they were employed by United Movers Group. The main mover, Ozzy, told me after I asked him that he was a subcontractor and that he had only worked for the company by contracted jobs for the last month prior.

Ozzy the subcontracted mover performed a visual walk through of my residence and estimated the moving footage to be 800 square feet instead of the 518 square feet originally quoted. He then called United Movers Group and they re-estimated my cost to be $3,700 instead of the original $2,100 quoted (a 76% increase!!).

Jeremy (ext. 555) from United Movers Group called me and we discussed the situation. Jeremy’s first suggestion to remedy the under-estimate of the increased square footage of the move was for me to leave some of my belongings behind to get closer to original the 518 square foot estimate; I told him that his suggestion was grossly unprofessional and that as a professional moving company I had had confidence in their ability to provide an accurate moving estimate for the square footage of my possessions by the questionnaire and software United Movers Group utilized to provide their moving quotes. Jeremy would assume no responsibility for the extreme increase of the moving quote or for the large margin by which his company incorrectly estimated the square footage of my belongings, so I declined the move and requested a refund of my $735 deposit due to their gross miscalculation of my moving costs and them falsely misrepresenting themselves as a full-service moving company when they were actually a moving broker and then them sending out subcontracted movers to perform my move. Jeremy told me that they would not return my paid deposit but that I could call his boss Walter (ext. 404). I contacted Walter on June 12th but have not been able to reach him and have not yet received a call back from anyone at United Movers Group in regard to this situation.

While I'm out $735---I'm grateful that I DID NOT use this company and experience the loss of my belongings as well as excessive increase of price.

BOTTOM LINE---DO NOT use United Movers Group! They are crooks and grossly unprofessional and do not provide accurate estimate or honestly represent themselves as a moving broker.

I've only moved with the major van lines but last time I used them it was a nightmare because I got brokered out to a very small company who overcharged me for a lot of broken furniture. I decided to go the smaller moving conpany route. I found this company through consumer affairs. They were rated top 3. They were also the least expensive out of the three. We did the estimate over the phone which came way higher then I thought but they said they overestimate and boy did they. I ended up getting money back on delivery. I feel like that's a moving first. I got a check from them because they overestimated me so much. They delivered the exact day they said they were and picked up the exact hour they said they would. Best part is nothing was broken. I was concerned at first but I never thought a move was supppsed to go as good as they said they could.

Picking a moving company was so stressful I got a bunch of quotes and I didn't know what to do I have no clue about moving dolly move I don't before was a few miles away going across the country was definitely a big difference for me and my family . My representative took my inventory of what I'd be moving I also had an in-home estimate and united movers group was the only company that came up close to the same week and cubic foot for the move. They offered me the full packing service which included treating all of the glass items I have a few China cabinets full of antique China that means a lot to me and my family that has been passed down from older generations. The way they wrapped these items in bubble wrap and packing paper and then put them in dish boxes was amazing I don't even know you could write Chyna this way. The amount of care or respect they handled all my furniture with wrapping and disassembling and reassembling all the furniture on delivery was really good. The movers were all polite and professional I was really skeptical about booking a company without meeting someone first from the company to represent them but after seeing the reviews and the A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau I was more at ease. You know the movers group is definitely going to be my mover for life hopefully I don't have to make one of these long trips again but if I do united will be the company a call thanks a lot united movers group.

I m a single mother and need and real trustworthy company to help me with moving my house and car. United movers group looked really honest online ski gave them a call and received a quote. The rep over the phone went over all the belonging id be taking on the trip and gave me a binding quote. As well as quoting me for my car. The movers showed up early by a half hour the day of the mov and wrapped the furniture really nice, got me out to MD after packing truck and un packed furniture and put it all bak together.

I really needs a last minute company for a last minute divorce, they got her there today now she's not my problem. I didn't want to make sure the belongings got there safe! For the simple fact I paid for them all over the years.. I got 6 quotes online and united movers group had the best reputation plus one of the only ones that are not a broker. And trust me I've seen their new top of the line trucks.. once I seen them on pickup I felt a lot more relieve. The money's are so professional and pack the furniture so good. Thanks united lovers group!!

United movers group did suck a good job!! After reading terrible things online about moving I was really scared,, even almost did the move myself. It was such a big job though. I can't explain how nervous I was. United reassured me. Cliff walked me through the quoting process. The day of the move the movers showed up and were very kind and professional!! United wrapped all my furniture and loaded me up and got me to my new home and set me all up. Cliff thanks so much for helping me and making this stress free!!

I had a very long move ahead of me and so we planned a few months back just to make sure we had this portion taken care of. I spoke with my agent Eric and he was very persistant on contacting me and making sure we took care of this early which I am grateful for now that it is over. The movers got to the house and were extremly nice and polite and I even offered to buy them lunch but they respectfully declined. Between doing all of the paperwork and loading it was a all day affair but once we headed out we were suprised to hear the movers were arriving only 2 days after us which worked out perfect. They loaded everything in our new home and put everything room by room as agreed. I can say this company has been great to me and my family and would like to thank them so very much.

First, read all the negative reviews. As I read them I feel as if I'm reading the message I'm wanting to portray for this dismal company.
Using this group has single handedly been the worst decision of my life.

First, as others have stated, they'll show up and let you know your quote is completely worthless (and they certainly know you're in a time crunch trying to move). In our situation, they stated we had far more cubic ft then accounted for in our quote (not our fault, nothing changed in our situation, nothing more than a bait a switch). It went from $8k to $14K!! If it happens to you, fight it, they'll go back down.

From my understanding, this is pretty normal w/ this industry. However, it's very important to know they don't bring their own employees for the crew to move you. They literally hire people looking for side work. Guess what..these aren't the type of people you'd like handling your stuff in case you hadn't already figured that out.

In our situation, we had such a great guy named Wade and his wife Vicky. Oh what a pair (of crooks). Wade will (without exaggeration) tell you how "professional" his crew is. And he'll remind you that they're "very professional" every time you walk by him. He's an extremely annoying and unprofessional man in every sense of the word. It seriously gets to the point you want to throw up hearing him speak. Repeatedly he'll say "we move generals and CIA agents and government officials" (in an odd eastern European accent none the less). It's nothing less than the worst pitch you'll ever hear..but as Wade says "VERY PROFESSIONAL"..

So Wade will then hire some crappy workers who he says have worked for him for years (no worries, there's not track record of these people, no names, info, etc..you're things are perfectly safe).

For us, they stole our electronics box (Xbox, Sonos Speakers, Playstation, Wii, all games associated (0ver 30ish) and our cable provider boxes).

The above is nothing in comparison to the safe / lock box we had stolen by his "crew". Nothing in that box other than our children's social security, ours as well, whole family's passports, marriage license etc has tremendous value. It's simply a theft that's causing major heartache and cost us near $1K in Life Lock protection.

I don't just dislike this company and Wade and crew. I loathe them. We've opened federal cases against them, and my hope is there's jail time.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. And if Wade shows up, lock all of your doors and call the police. Nothing more than a thief in movers clothing.

P.S. - I had my neighbor stop by while the crew was working and busted them smoking pot inside my house..very "professional".

I have never moved before this time. In the beginning I wish I never put my name on this site that got me all these calls that would start at 6 a.m. I took a few quotes one of them being from this company. The other three companies would call me everyday asking me if I had questions which was quite frustrating and annoying. They were not the cheapest company but seemed the most thorough. I decided to go with them. They came to my house at 10 a.m. On the dot which is when they said they would be. They boxed up all my t.v.s and glass tops which I didn't know you had to do. They told me I had a little bit more than estimated but not to worry about it. I have recommended them to my whole company who is relocating to Houston.

I just had a excellent experience using this company United Movers Group. They helped me when I was in a tough situation. My father just passed away and it was very sudden so we had to move everything from his estate last minute which put us in a very tight spot especially with everything else going on this was the last thing I wanted to deal with. I requested some information online and I received a call from a young man named Eric Scott. He was very helpful in explaining how everything was done and how they were going to charge us. I had a lot going on so he was very patient with me and did not put any pressure on us at all. They did not come in as the lowest quote but looking up their reviews and credentials I felt more comfortable paying a few hundred more for the security. I am glad I did because from the start everything was handled extremely professional and the driver and workers that came out were very polite and did a great job. This company helps us out when we were going through a rough time and I can not thank you guys enough and thank you Eric as we'll for explaining everything thoroughly and guiding us through the process. If you are shopping around then make sure you get a quote from these guys and see if they can help you the same way they helped my family.

I recently moved due to a family member being ill. With all the extra stress taking care of them I just couldn't coordinate a move. I corresponded with my representive via email for everything, including inventory. Everything was exactly how was described to me and my estimate was accurate reflecting my inventory. I am so thankful they took the time out of their day to write me countless emails and reassure me all along the way. Will always use this company for all future moves.

I recently moved from Denver CO to Massillon OH and this company was great! They were extremely friendly and prompt with answering questions and returning phone calls. Everything was packed great and wrapped up. I can't even tell my stuff was moved 1400 miles ! The best part of the whole thing was the delivery, I went to make my final payment and I owed LESS than what I was told it would be! The whole move went very smooth! If I ever move again I will be using this company! I would def recommend them to friends and family.

Please read all reviews before making any decision, all the good reviews are paid, fake or made by employees. I was talking with the truck driver, while the crew was packing which was nice and that's what he told me, this company was a completely nightmare, 2 days late to pick up. And then the charged me triple!, yes triple!! Be very careful with [NAME EDIT] or [NAME EDIT] she is the worse. They sound so nice on the phone and they would do whatever to get your money! I showed the quote which was very accurate, and compared to other 2 companies. They stay in your home for 2 hours or more talking to people over the phone, and they say they trying to get the best deal for you, because the quote isn't accurate. I finished paying triple of the price because I was with my 5 year old daughter and a plane to catch. When the delivered.. things were broken, and they didn't assemble all like they promised. You can pay 20% less with a very good company like mayflower! If you already gave the deposit is even better to loose it before going on with this company. Believe me!
