Scam !

I was scheduled to move on Sept 6th. I spoke with a representative named Melissa & she explained that I would have a virtual walk through on Sept 3rd. That walk through never happened.. instead two days before my move date I received a text message from Mike asking if I needed to add any additional items. I told him that I needed to add a medium towel cabinet. He told me I was originally quoted for 2002 lbs and he adjusted the weight to 3346 lbs which inflating the cost if my move from $2150 to $4133. So he's claiming my cabinet weighs 1324 pounds ? That's ridiculous. I put the cabinet in the back of my car by myself. It doesn't weight 70 pounds. This company is rated F on the bbb. I see why. All of the unhappy customers are not wrong. 

Bait and switch

Hired for a move with a large Binding Estimate Fee. The day of the move (2 days late and having to pay fees to my rental) the third party movers since that fee didn’t matter and had to pay based on cubic footage. Was forced to pay $10,500 over the quote from the company. I have received no response back to calls or emails and was hung up on many times. I want a check for the overage I was forced to pay.

BEWARE!

US Standard Moving Storage standards are underground! They say they're mission is honest, loyal and ethical business practices, none of this is the truth! I specifically asked Marc Kaye on our initial call was he a broker or carrier moving company he vehemently said they were the carriers, that was the first lie. He came across efficient and professional, that's what he's good at lying! Because he's a good liar I never looked at the reviews which are as horrible! After the "72 hours" I learned they weren't the carriers and they no nothing about where or what the drivers are doing with your property, when I learned this information Marc Kaye refused to return my calls or texts, they tell you you have a 45 days storage free but they have no clue where this storage unit is located, no address or phone could be provided, I was told by customer service that I would have to wait until the day the driver of the truck showed up to get that information, ridiculous! Fast forward I learned to truth these people have no fleet of trucks, no drivers, they sit in a Wells Fargo building misleading consumers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE CON ARTISTS

If there was a way to type -0 for stars, I would do it. This is not a moving company. This is a brokerage firm. They hire kids to pretend to work for this moving company. The kid I dealt with (supposedly named Marc or maybe Shane, I think they change their names all the time) went over my move, gave me a very low quote and emailed me what appeared to be a real contract. I gave him my credit card & he took $1500. He texted and called me several times for 4 weeks to confirm the move. 3 days before the move he said he'd let me know a time when movers were arriving. But the day before, when I didn't hear anything, I called and texted him and got no response. Then I called the naming # and got no response. I left 2 voicemails and figured they were just busy. On the day of the move, nobody showed up. I kept calling and texting. Nothing back. They never showed. At this point my entire house was packed up. I was due in another state to start a new job in 3 days. Marc or Shane never called back, nor did anyone. I had to figure out how to get out of my house, rent a truck, cancel my airline ticket and of course call my credit card company since Marc had taken $1500 of my money. 24 hours…

Worst Company I have ever Used

I have moved several times within the past 10 years and this is by far the worst company I have ever worked with. I would give them a 0 if I could. To start off, US Standard is a broker, meaning they outsource to the cheapest movers they can find. Additionally, this means they can avoid any sort of liability from any damages or mishaps during your move. Although this is communicated in the fine print of the binding estimate, they do not verbally communicate this to you during the initial sale. The website also boasts a 4.9/5.0 rating based on Movers.com and YellowPages.com but I wasn't able to find any reviews for US Standard & Movingon those sites. Their website also does not communicate that they are a broker and does not list out moving companies they use. We were not told who the moving company was (Moving Depot USA) until they showed up on moving day.

One of the sales points for US Standard was a price match adjustment up to $150. I sent the sales rep I worked with a cheaper quote from another moving company about 2 months before our actual move date. Worst, never engage this company, criminals

They are criminals. The truck was supposed to arrive in a window of 12pm to 4pm. Never arrived. Two days later he arrived at 7:30 am, was abusive to new owners, abusive to my neighbors and my realtor and to me. He did not have the contract didn't know where he was delivering all of my belongings and was alone expecting us to load the truck. When he had to confess to his confusion he became verbally abusive and threatened physical violence, got in the truck and drove off. Everyone was stunned and shocked. He returned three nights later very late and same behavior. Ashely told me, after several calls that I would be repaid the $700 deposit. She has since denied. Criminals, stole my money and caused stress and fear. Never give these idiots any business and never trust them!!!!!!! I gave one star because I had to enter something, negative stars if they could.

SCAMMERS - don't get sucked in!

I read the reviews and thought I understood the tradeoffs. Yes, they're a broker, which means I was taking a risk the company they contracted with wasn't great, but US Standard was on the hook for the move at the end of the day, right? Wrong.

I went through an inventory of items with their sales person, then again on multiple calls ahead of the move with their support team, and was feeling cautiously optimistic heading into moving day.

The movers that arrived waited until they had packed everything into their truck before demanding $8k for our move- an additional $5k on top of our quote. They claimed we had 1500 cubic feet of items from a storage unit that could hold a max of 1200. That's not up to interpretation- it's math.

US Storage claims we cancelled our contract by sending these scammers away, and under no circumstances will refund our deposit- despite the fact that we now have to move the items ourselves.

If their rates are too good to be true, it's because they are. They will underquote you and you'll be left holding the bag to pay the exorbitantly higher price, or forfeit your deposit. Don't get sucked into using this unscrupulous…

Worst experience I have ever had

Everything is a lie. Jeffery Thomas lied about move lied to police, said they were hacked and never booked us. They lied a half dozen times about delivery dates. Said they were a moving company and they are brokers who hire the shit cheap movers they can find. It took 3 months to get our stuff delivered and half of the tubs and boxes were crushed and damaged. Some were destroyed and our stuff missing. We had a mattress, dresser, desk, lawn mower and several other pieces missing. 3 tables and several pieces of furniture, 50" plasma tv and new laptop were damaged. Never answer the phone or return calls. Will only give you .60 cents a pound for missing items. Whole move cot $10000.

Poor Communication and Customer Service, Too Many Companies involved

I thought I was hiring Budget Van Lines but ended up dealing with US Standard Moving and Storage. Once my furniture was picked up by another company (RoadRunners) that was contracted out, they tried to charge me more money even though Mike Spencer, from US Standard and Moving, assured me my inventory was within the price quoted. No one seemed to be able to tell me when my furniture would arrive to the destination and they went so far as to tell me they didn't even have a driver for my furniture. We had to keep calling them for updates because no one ever called us to tell us anything. Several people had reached out to me before the move (Dennis Nowlen and Mike Spencer) but when I tried to call them back with questions and concerns, no one answered or returned my phone calls. Needless to say, I received my furniture after the date I was told. My recommendation - DO YOUR RESEARCH AND KNOW EXACTLY YOU ARE HIRING TO DO YOUR MOVE.

30 day delivery window. i have been waiting on my belongings for 2 weeks!!!!

they hire out from a different carrier, and the customer service is THE WORST IVE EVER RECIEVED. i was yelled at, hung up on, continually interrupted.

refused any type of concession for THIER MISTAKES!!! not given any information on management, ownership at all.
