The Good Reviews are all false. Believe me (and others that gave one star!) Save yourself the headache. Worst experience of my life. They cancelled our move the DAY they were to arrive. We had to scramble to get our cross country move done with NO notice and now we are struggling to get our deposit of $1,600.00 back. They are unable/unwilling to follow what they say, I have been told, 7 to 10 business days from the day of cancellation yet here I am on business day 13 with no money back in my account. The customer service rep MIA hung up on me, Anthony (the sales rep) just wants your money and even when he says he is the "point of contact" when you reach out to him he asks, "why are you contacting me?". Ashley tries but it is clear she has no support and that this whole company is just terrible. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

Hired this company to move a 2 bedroom apartment a distance of 33 miles. Same day move. They were supposed to arrive between 2-4. Didn’t show until 6:30 PM. Truck was in horrible condition and packed full of other people’s belongings. Said we were way over our quote. I know we weren’t. Then said had to pay by cash or money order only. What type of business practice is that? Also said they would not deliver same day and stuff was just left on the truck in a hotel parking lot all night. ThankFully they showed the next morning with all items. Just brought boxes in and didn’t take them where they were supposed to be. Do not use this company. They broker for companies and then leave you hanging when the person they contract takes advantage of you. I fought for a discount but they threatened to take everything to storage and I just know I would never have seen it again.

Worst experience ever!! I have never written a review of a service, but had to after my experience with US Standard. They were supposed to service my move earlier this month from Charleston, SC to Baltimore, MD but never showed up and totally gave me the run around!! They called the day before the move and gave me a window from 8-10. At 10 I called and spoke with customer service who then gave me a later window that day. When nobody had come at the end of the second window I called to see what was going on and customer service said they would investigate. After not hearing from them for 2 hours I called back and they said that the drivers wife was in labor and that they would be sending another crew the following day. At the end of my window the following day I called customer service to make sure the driver was on his way. They assured that he was and would be reaching out soon. After an hour passed not hearing from anyone I called customer service back. The woman on the phone started cursing and asked if there was any flexibility on my move date because the second driver had a heart attack. I said no I have to be out by tomorrow at noon and had a flight tomorrow for a vacation. She then said she was going to work something out and call me back. After she had not called for 30 mins I called back and she said they couldn’t service my move until the next night (after I had to be out of my apartment) and would give me a refund. When I asked to speak to a manager about compensation she hung up on me. I then had to scramble and move everything to a storage unit in the area since I had to be out of my place in less than 24 hours. Plus I had to miss my vacation! Then I get a call 3 days later that my movers are on their way?? Overall a terrible experience! Please use another moving company!

PLEASE BE WARNED PEOPLE!

After speaking with a representative from this company (Ray) I felt comfortable that these people were professionals who would make my move a smooth one. It was all candies and roses until the deposit was paid then all hell broke loose. A quote was provided ($1379) and I paid the required deposit of $450. I had no idea that US STANDARD MOVERS was a broker and not the moving company I would encounter on the day of my move.

Did my part my providing them with correct inventory which included clear descriptions of personal items that would be moved..not once but TWICE.

Moving date changed without proper notification, found out about change in date at 6:30pm the evening before.

On the day before the “new” moving date I received a call asking if they could further push back the date to 2 days fr my original date, of course I politely let them know that would not work as my lease would be up and that’s not the original agreement. They later called back and the moving date was for 8/19/2020 with a pick up time between 9am to 3pm.

At 1pm I decided to call for an update on the ETA but none was provided. Patiently I waited! After 3pm I received a call from the driver stating that they would arrive at 4:45..the driver did not show up until After 5 that day. When he stepped into my apartment he immediately proceeded to let me know that I would be required to pay an additional $1400 because my items (already listed and reviewed on the inventory TWICE) exceed the “cubic space”. He even went further to tell me how my table needed special packaging , my regular sized queen bed was oversized etc.

At this point I became overwhelmed and reached out to the 800# hoping this was a huge mistake, only to find out this was reality. No clear answers given to my questions such as why was this new quote not communicated in the initial stages, why was my inventory not communicated to the driver clearly, the floor that my apt was on and where I was moving to (additional $75 charge as stated by the driver), why was there not total transparency as to the moving process with that company.

The only response I got was that I had to either pay the additional $1400 or cancel the move and lose my deposit. How can this be legal or ethical??

Of course I could not move forward with the move as I COULD NOT AFFORD THIS NEWLY FOUND EXTRA QUOTE THAT WAS NEVER COMMUNICATED WHEN I SIGNED THE CONTRACT!

This is absolute deception, robbery and shameful how they treated me and swindled my money. Shame on me though for not reading the google reviews before. The attitude of their staff I must say changed real quick when I needed clarification on these discrepancies, treated me like I was NOT A PAYING CUSTOMER WITH RIGHTS. Total opposite from when I was paying my deposit. Those 5 star comments must be from their family and friends!! All the comments with 1 star was exactly what happened to me.

After following up and requesting that some consideration be made re a refund of my deposit I was told they could consider refunding $250. So much for that lie..I’m yet to receive a penny nor am I able to communicate with the personal responsible for that refund. Talk about “standards” huh.

People be warned, save yourself from the high level of stress and inconvenience I endured at the hands of this company. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!

For a one bedroom, 720 sq foot apartment - three payments.

$1,300 "broker fee" up front for Standard Movers. They will lie and underquote the estimate by half. They then google a regular mover and set up an appointment (which you can do for free.)

$1,900 - the cost for the regular mover, which is DOUBLE of what Standard Movers, JACKSON, quoted. I didn't even move all the things listed, removed a huge couch, and still cost double the quote.

$1,900 - the cost for the regular mover to drop off your goods, which is DOUBLE what Standard Movers, JACKSON, quoted.

So here is how you SAVE $1,300+. Pick up the phone and call a mover. Schedule the move yourself. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are a BROKER and they will get a fee for simply answering the phone and scheduling the move with a real company. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT fall for this scam.

Would give them -1 stat if I could !! They are the worst ! They give very bad moving estimations, they deceive you with a reasonable pricing, have you pay the $600 deposit,and then leave you to fight with the truck driver from a third party company when they give you the actual moving estimate. They never help you at that point, and you can say goodbye to your $600 deposit if you decide to cancel their shitty service !! Not to mention they become very hard to catch on phone when you try and contact them regarding the false estimation !! Scammers, deceivers, shameless !
