Do not allow Omar in your homenif you value your integrity or belongings. This foreman does not move your items, he is careless and uses the excuse “he is only human” and is full of excuses as the day is long. Two confirmations on the phone, one upon arrival the four hours was enough time to reserve the elevator. Ten hours later, I asked Trans Van Lines to leave, and I moved the remaining boxes. Omar used vulgar language and left all the furniture prep (boxes were packed by me ahead of time) and moving to Jesus who was a very good and diligent mover; just a shame Jesus was the only “real” mover for a two bedroom move. Three attempts were made to speak to a supervisor on the phone. No manager or supervisor would take my call, I could only relay messages through the receptionist who apologized profusely. The contract states “one free month of storage” yet I was charged for one month of storage. I was told once contract was signed the my items would be at the destination in 3-5 days, I booked an airline ticket to meet my items within the 3-5 day window. The day of my move I was told Trans Van Lines was not sure when my items would be arriving. My move was fourteen days ago, I still do not know when my items will be at the destination, yet I am being charged for storage. I have moved four times, this has absolutely been the worst moving experience EVER. Do NOT use Trans Van Lines.

Trans Van Lines gave me a very professional move about two weeks ago. The total price quoted was $2310 for everything which included a full packing service AND packaging supplies. This was by far the best deal I have seen anywhere.  I moved my furniture from my house and sent it to be stored at Trans Van Lines' facility in Ventura.  The movers were on time and had a very no-nonsense approach. The team leader did a quick appraisal of the house prior to supervising his 3 helpers pack. This was done in a timely manner and including packing, moving and loading the truck, it took 6 hours.  As a woman who has had to do a "move" on her own several times, I was relieved that none of the movers made me feel uncomfortable or gave me any weird looks.  Carri who organized the whole move for me was amazing.  I was in a crisis and needed my stuff moved out fast.  She managed to organize and book the move for the very next day which was great.  Without her efficiency and concern, this stressful experience of moving would have been awful, but she showed the "human touch" which is VERY rare in the moving world.  Thank you ever so much to Carri and her efficient team for a job well done.  I would definietly recommend them and use them again if needed.

During July 2012 I contracted with Trans Van Lines to move my daughters furniture from California to Texas, where she was attending school.  I chose Trans Van Lines because the salesperson I spoke with (Julie Edmonds) promised me a delivery date of 8/15.  I was on a tight schedule and needed to be able to move my daughter into her apt. and then return to California.  Had I not gotten a definitive date from Julie I would have rented a Uhaul truck and done it myself.  All of the other companies could only give me a 'window' delivery date.  I have an email from Julie stating "as long as we can pickup by 8/6 we will have it there by 8/15".      I arrived in TX on 8/14 and immediately called Trans Van Lines to inquire about the delivery.  Julie was not in so I spoke with the supervisor, Carri.  I advised Carri that Julie had promised me a delivery date of 8/15.  Carri immediately informed me that they do not give exact dates and they had up to three weeks to delivery my furniture.  I told her that I had emails from Julie giving me an 8/15 delivery date.  She asked me to forward those emails, which I did.  She then went on to tell me that the truck containing my furniture was making a drop in KS and I was the next stop.  She said that it would be there either late Thursday or Friday.  On Wednesday (8/15) I called Carri again to inquire about the whereabouts of my furniture.  I told her that I had a scheduled flight out on Sunday and needed to know if I needed to change it.  She said that it would be there by Friday.  I called her again on Thursday but she did not return my call.  I tried calling her again on Friday morning and did not get a return call.  By this time it was apparent that she did not want to speak with me and I was getting extremely upset.  On Friday afternoon I left Carri a message that I wanted to speak with the owner of the company.  At that point it became obvious to me that my furniture was not going to be there on Friday, so I paid $368 to change my flight home. Later that Friday afternoon I received a call from the owner, Aviad Lankri.  I immediately told Mr. Lankri how awful I had been treated by his company and how there was no communication.  He told me that on Thursday night one of their trucks had broken down and the truck that my furniture was on had to be redirected.  I told him that it would have been nice for someone to call me and let me know what was going on. I told him that I had not spoken with anybody from his company in two days.  I also told him that I had emails from Julie confirming an 8/15 delivery date.  He went on to tell me that they never promise anyone a delivery date.  I told him that Julie had promised me.  I told Mr. Lankri that if I had known the aggravation that his company was putting me through I would have rented a Uhaul and done it myself.  Mr. Lankri told me that Julie had been fired and that she had done the same thing to 3 other people (promised a delivery date). I told him that was fine but it still did not change my situation.  Mr. Lankri told me that he would have my furniture there between 8AM and noon on Sunday.  He also told me that he wanted to compensate me for my troubles and asked that I call him when I returned home to discuss.  My furniture arrived Sunday afternoon.  I returned to California and on 8/21 and called Mr. Lankri.  He had a completely different attitude than when I spoke with him the previous week.  He told me that 8/15 was the first date of availability and the fact that it was delivered 4 days later was within the time frame.  I once again reminded him that Julie had promised me an exact date for delivery and I had emails from her saying that.  He asked what I wanted.  I told him that I felt I deserved some sort of compensation for the agony his company put me through ( I had to pay for two extra nights in a hotel and a $368 change fee for my ticket).  He asked me to send him Julie's emails and he would call me back in a day or two.  I sent him the emails on 8/21.  Today is 9/7 and I have not heard back from him.  He has not returned my calls or emails. BIG SURPRISE!!  Stay away from this company. Very deceitful and dishonest.

At first I was skeptical because I have heard a lot of stories about moving companies and the horrible service. TransVan Lines really made this process a lot easier than I could ever imagine. David was the gentleman who came to my house and gave me an on-site estimate. My wife and I were quoted an affordable price for the entire transaction. When the men who performed the pick-up came they were very nice and helpful. The packing was perfect. All of our stuff was noted on the inventory. The amount of time between pick-up and delivery was very quick and convenient. We were notified of any changes or steps being taken. The delivery went well, all the items were accounted for and the items were in the same condition as when they left our old house.

Trans Van Lines did an excellent job at moving our belongings from Louisville KYto Little Rock, AR. All four movers were very capable and friendly. They arrived 20 minutes early which almost never happens. They displayed amazing skills in packing everything and loading them onto the van. The whole process took just 2 hours. I was so glad to see how fast they were since I was paying them hourly. The delivery was smooth as well. The van arrived on time and the movers unpacked everything and put them in their rightful places. We are so grateful for the efforts put in by Trans Van Lines.

If there is option to give zero rating, consider that’s my rating. Stay away from these guys. I moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Jersey City, NJ and used their services for moving my things. They doesn’t seems to be real movers, they are sort of agent and very bad at it. My move was planned for Oct 1st week and it had moved to 2nd week due to hurricane in that area. Understandable, it’s beyond anyone’s control. They told movers will come to pickup things on Monday and that keep shifting by 2 days whenever I call them. They told they will give me 24 hours advance notice before coming and they called me at 11 AM on Friday saying they are coming at 1 PM. As I was already fed up with waiting, I said ok. They came at 5 PM instead of 1 PM and when they came, mover guy told, you have more things than what you told us. Only extra thing I had was one folding table and small rack. I said, don’t worry about those and pack everything else. They packed such a way it takes lot of space and after packing everything and loading into truck they said it’s more than what you reserved. I didn’t reserve any space, I just asked movers for moving my things from the list. It’s their problem how they are packing it. After loading everything they changed my quote from $1,200 to $2,300 without any previous notice. It’s for the same items I had listed in the quote plus couple of other small items. I can understand couple of hundreds but double of original quote? Mover called to his manager and his manager was threatening to leave all the items there and don’t want your business unless you pay $2,300. When I said, I don’t want your service, they were asking for $500 to unload the items. All this started after loading the items into the truck. Worst experience for moving. Not at all good for follow-up or any questions, be it over the email or call. To get speaking to someone it takes few calls and don’t expect any call back for voicemails. They charged additional $275 for bringing my items to my home as it was one way street and their large truck couldn’t enter, I understand and was ok with it. After unloading all the items, my king size bed is completely damaged and I’m running from pole to post to get claim for it. When I call, they transfer to someone who don’t pickup or just hang up the call. Finally when it was transferred the person who spoke said, full value is not insured and you would get 60 cents ($0.60) per pound! Seriously, while booking they said everything is covered if it’s packed by movers. I don’t know if I’ll get any claim done if it’s done.  Oh, I got my items after 3 weeks of pickup and I had been told it would be 7 – 10 days when they picked up

For anyone looking for movers, think twice and decide. And don’t get carried away due to their lower prices, you would end up paying double and regret it with your decision. .

After calling multiple places for a quote I felt comfortable choosing them. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience with Trans Van Lines. It was the easiest most stress free move I have ever done.
I encourage everyone who needs their services to take advantage. Other moving experiences have ended up with hidden fees, lost/stolen items, or waited weeks for my stuff to arrive. Not with trans van lines, they were very clear with the origin and destination. I recommend you talk to Avi, he was very clear and reasonable with the pricing, timing, and the moving process. AMAZING experience.

I was told to keep this short, so in a nutshell, they will quote you one price but when they get there to pack the truck they will immediately tell you that you will be over in cubic feet, for me it was a substantially overage compared to what I was shipping even though I was shipping less items than what was in the quote. They charged for this additional cubic feet even before the truck was loaded. I was told that they didn't have time to do the paperwork until after the truck was loaded. They don't tell you until that day that they charge $8 a roll for tape, and use an excessive amount as well as $25 per box to box glass items (table top) which takes 2 to for boxes cut up, plus $55 in labor to box it. It was obvious from the beginning the foreman was told to add additional items to the bill. When you try to speak with your representative, you are told that they can't speak to you on your move date and that you now have to go through customer service, who will get back to you with 72 hours (Monday through Friday only). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We had an absolutely horrible experience with Trans Van Lines. First, they arrived 90 minutes late with a team that was far too small for our job. Because of this, they did not even finish the first day, and had to come back two days later, supposedly to complete packing our house and to get the stuff out of our storage unit, all of which we had included on the estimate. Needless to say, they tried to up-charge us DOUBLE what they had quoted. We negotiated lower but still ended up getting fleeced.

The driver LOST the keys to our storage unit, which we only found out because the storage company called us to say our things hadn't been picked up. This whole debacle delayed our move by another three weeks! Then, when we started dealing with the car transport company they recommended, which they "included" in our estimate, the company said it would be billed separately. So of course, when they came to drop our stuff off, they announced that the original astronomical price we had now paid (which, mind you, was already $6000 more than they quoted) did NOT include the cost of the car transport.

To make matters worse, when our things arrived, almost ever piece of furniture was damaged in some way (so of course now we have to fill out tedious paperwork to get reimbursed for that) and some things were missing! And as if that wasn't bad enough, we had a bunch of stuff that belonged to an entirely different family! That family apparently had over a quarter of their belongings delivered to the wrong addresses.

And in all of this, not ONE SINGLE TIME did we get any words of apology or regret for the horrific experience we endured. Do yourself a favor!! Go with PODS, hire a U-Haul, honestly ANYTHING would be a better option than using this shady, underhanded, subpar company for your move. Why else would I even bother to write this review?? I stand nothing to gain except to hopefully warn the next unsuspecting vulnerable prospective customer. Consider yourself warned. And good luck!
