Trans Van Lines

Trans Van Lines did an excellent job at moving our belongings from Louisville KYto Little Rock, AR. All four movers were very capable and friendly. They arrived 20 minutes early which almost never happens. They displayed amazing skills in packing everything and loading them onto the van. The whole process took just 2 hours. I was so glad to see how fast they were since I was paying them hourly. The delivery was smooth as well. The van arrived on time and the movers unpacked everything and put them in their rightful places. We are so grateful for the efforts put in by Trans Van Lines.

If there is option to give zero rating, consider that’s my rating. Stay away from these guys. I moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Jersey City, NJ and used their services for moving my things. They doesn’t seems to be real movers, they are sort of agent and very bad at it. My move was planned for Oct 1st week and it had moved to 2nd week due to hurricane in that area. Understandable, it’s beyond anyone’s control. They told movers will come to pickup things on Monday and that keep shifting by 2 days whenever I call them. They told they will give me 24 hours advance notice before coming and they called me at 11 AM on Friday saying they are coming at 1 PM. As I was already fed up with waiting, I said ok. They came at 5 PM instead of 1 PM and when they came, mover guy told, you have more things than what you told us. Only extra thing I had was one folding table and small rack. I said, don’t worry about those and pack everything else. They packed such a way it takes lot of space and after packing everything and loading into truck they said it’s more than what you reserved. I didn’t reserve any space, I just asked movers for moving my things from the list. It’s their problem how they are packing it. After loading everything they changed my quote from $1,200 to $2,300 without any previous notice. It’s for the same items I had listed in the quote plus couple of other small items. I can understand couple of hundreds but double of original quote? Mover called to his manager and his manager was threatening to leave all the items there and don’t want your business unless you pay $2,300. When I said, I don’t want your service, they were asking for $500 to unload the items. All this started after loading the items into the truck. Worst experience for moving. Not at all good for follow-up or any questions, be it over the email or call. To get speaking to someone it takes few calls and don’t expect any call back for voicemails. They charged additional $275 for bringing my items to my home as it was one way street and their large truck couldn’t enter, I understand and was ok with it. After unloading all the items, my king size bed is completely damaged and I’m running from pole to post to get claim for it. When I call, they transfer to someone who don’t pickup or just hang up the call. Finally when it was transferred the person who spoke said, full value is not insured and you would get 60 cents ($0.60) per pound! Seriously, while booking they said everything is covered if it’s packed by movers. I don’t know if I’ll get any claim done if it’s done.  Oh, I got my items after 3 weeks of pickup and I had been told it would be 7 – 10 days when they picked up

For anyone looking for movers, think twice and decide. And don’t get carried away due to their lower prices, you would end up paying double and regret it with your decision. .

I was told to keep this short, so in a nutshell, they will quote you one price but when they get there to pack the truck they will immediately tell you that you will be over in cubic feet, for me it was a substantially overage compared to what I was shipping even though I was shipping less items than what was in the quote. They charged for this additional cubic feet even before the truck was loaded. I was told that they didn't have time to do the paperwork until after the truck was loaded. They don't tell you until that day that they charge $8 a roll for tape, and use an excessive amount as well as $25 per box to box glass items (table top) which takes 2 to for boxes cut up, plus $55 in labor to box it. It was obvious from the beginning the foreman was told to add additional items to the bill. When you try to speak with your representative, you are told that they can't speak to you on your move date and that you now have to go through customer service, who will get back to you with 72 hours (Monday through Friday only). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We had an absolutely horrible experience with Trans Van Lines. First, they arrived 90 minutes late with a team that was far too small for our job. Because of this, they did not even finish the first day, and had to come back two days later, supposedly to complete packing our house and to get the stuff out of our storage unit, all of which we had included on the estimate. Needless to say, they tried to up-charge us DOUBLE what they had quoted. We negotiated lower but still ended up getting fleeced.

The driver LOST the keys to our storage unit, which we only found out because the storage company called us to say our things hadn't been picked up. This whole debacle delayed our move by another three weeks! Then, when we started dealing with the car transport company they recommended, which they "included" in our estimate, the company said it would be billed separately. So of course, when they came to drop our stuff off, they announced that the original astronomical price we had now paid (which, mind you, was already $6000 more than they quoted) did NOT include the cost of the car transport.

To make matters worse, when our things arrived, almost ever piece of furniture was damaged in some way (so of course now we have to fill out tedious paperwork to get reimbursed for that) and some things were missing! And as if that wasn't bad enough, we had a bunch of stuff that belonged to an entirely different family! That family apparently had over a quarter of their belongings delivered to the wrong addresses.

And in all of this, not ONE SINGLE TIME did we get any words of apology or regret for the horrific experience we endured. Do yourself a favor!! Go with PODS, hire a U-Haul, honestly ANYTHING would be a better option than using this shady, underhanded, subpar company for your move. Why else would I even bother to write this review?? I stand nothing to gain except to hopefully warn the next unsuspecting vulnerable prospective customer. Consider yourself warned. And good luck!

I recommend trans Van Line to anyone .Thank you for your help once again Trance Van line.

This is a terrible company to work with. They moved my pick up date back twice in the same week. Arrived late, leaving me very little time to finish with the house before I had to leave the state a day and a half later.
The original estimate was not accurate but they waited to tell me this after loading most of my items. Then tells me the cost it going to be almost triple the estimate. By this time I have very little chose but to continue because of my moving time frame. According to them items were listed as wrong size or not at all.
I started working with this company in March and was assured that my items were listed correctly and I had faith in the person I spoke to on the phone. Don't believe everything they tell you. Read the fine print. The labor and material costs are not listed on the estimate. $550 for cardboard and tape! My original estimate was $1600, my final cost $3684. Big difference.
When it was time for delivery I gave them a date and it took over two weeks to deliver my items. They contacted me by email with a date range. I had to make contact with them two more times before I received my items on the very last day of their estimated arrival which was Labor Day. One driver and he had to call a local guy to help him unpack the truck. Not a very professional company. Damaged items and missing pieces. Customer service is not helpful. All I got was "you signed the contract". So beware! Do your research.

Moving long-distance is never easy, but frankly, I don't know how I would have done it at all without Trans Van Lines.

My experience was hassle-free, and by the end of the day, I was settled in my new house with scratch-free furniture and fragile items intact. The staff was professional, and they followed all instructions to the tee.

The movers were both efficient and friendly. They were easy to talk to and happy to go the extra mile if asked. I really don't know how my move could have gone better, and I highly recommend this company to anyone who is dreading their state to state move.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2500

By far the best moving experience I've ever had! The team at Trans Van Lines went above and beyond on my move. I quoted several companies and Trans Van Movers was very reasonable and worked with my budget. The team prompt to arrive and extremely courteous .. even watched out for my pets (a biggy for me!!). The extra effort they put in on padding and wrapping my furniture was much appreciated. I am definitely going to recommend this company to my family and friends!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

I moved from Tampa to Miami- My Daughter scheduled the truck and she a few items but the truck was scheduled to pick up between 4pm to 6pm and arrived at 9am in the morning. Of course I Had to rush from work to take the out front money that had to be paid. I left my daughter supervising and the truck driver wrapped items I never requested to be wrapped adding to the cost a 634 dollars to the shipment not counting the 1200.00 dollars. so the estimate cost of 1500 increased to 3200.00 hundred dollars. the driver never filled up the view doc they are require to complete and advise of the real cost. Later holding hostage the items in the truck. delaying my family, including my daughters trip back home. they advertise a 72 hours deliver and it took them 5 days to deliver an incomplete shipment as I was missing a double dresser and 50 inch tv. The TV was found a few hours later and it took them 7 days to deliver. The dresser is yet to be found. I just found out today I paid 3.5 per cub and I am entitle to .60 cents per pound so I will not be returned not even the cost of the shipment without counting the dresser. I have spoken to everyone in that office, and even my ex husband has called. I was even suggested to go and pick up the tv myself, a 3 hours drive to pick up the property I paid to be deliver to my house. it has been a lie and changes in prices from the beginning. I had to beg for my things to be deliver to me. It is a shame that we live in a country like this and companies take advantage of the consumer the way this company has done to me and pretty sure to others. It is a legal Robbery. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2802

While I have moved plenty of times growing up, the coordination had always been handled by my family. My move to Baltimore was the first move I had to handle by myself and Trans Van Lines made it incredibly smooth and relaxed.

While I had done most of the packing myself, there were a few things left unpacked and they were happy to help me finish up before loading up the truck. They took great care with my valuables and everything arrived in excellent condition. Packing and unpacking the truck was speedy and efficient which was great since the apartment buildings have specified time windows for moving.

If I decide to move again I will definitely contact these guys!

Trans Van Lines gave my family and I the most satisfactory moving experience we could have imagined. When the movers arrived to start packing our furniture and boxes into the truck, they were very careful with their work. I was happy to see them use a lot of padding to make sure our furniture came out of the move unscathed. I don't know if I would have expected such a good moving experience from the very reasonable price I paid, but Trans Van Lines went above and beyond to guarantee that our move was completed successfully and safely. If anyone asks me for a recommendation for a good mover, I'll be sure to tell them about my experience with Trans Van Lines.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2000

I am so grateful for Trans Van Lines. My husband and I decided to purchase a home after years of living in apartments. We did not realize how much we had accumulated over the years, so we knew hiring a moving company was the only way. After much research online, and contacting family members who had just moved themselves, Trans Van Lines seemed to be the only way to go. Boy are we glad we listened! Right from the beginning of the process, Trans Van Lines made sure to ask us questions about things even we didn’t think about and gave us all the information we needed to get ready for the move. The movers showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, without a glitch. They help my husband and I feel at ease with the level of professionalism delivered. I cannot imagine suggesting any other moving company after the excellent service we received with Trans Van Lines.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1560

Upon our upcoming move, my husband and I were very nervous about trusting our belongings to someone else. We had never moved out of the state before and we were not sure exactly what to expect. When we discovered Trans Van Lines, they definitely put our worries at ease. Their customer service was top-notch and they provided us with all necessary information to assist us. Their prices were very reasonable and competitive amongst other companies. The movers even joked around with our sons and made it a fabulous experience having essentially strangers in our homes. By the time our move was complete our boys were sad to see them go. It is hard to find a company that puts their customers first and Trans Van Lines went above and beyond the call of duty. We will never use another moving company again!!

I am an aspiring artist and lived in a 2 bedroom condo in South Carolina. My entire condo was filled with my art and other artwork I had collected over the years. When an opportunity rose to relocate to follow my passion, I knew I couldn’t move all my stuff alone, and on top of that I needed extra care to be taken in transporting my livelihood! I got a recommendation from a fellow artist to use Trans Van Lines. The entire experience was wonderful! And my art arrived undamaged to my new home!

When I got a job offer too good to refuse but halfway across the country, I didn't know where to start. I had 3 weeks to get to my new city! The last thing I needed was figuring out how to get all my prized possessions to Texas. Fortunately, I found Trans Van Lines! Not only did they have the best price around but their customer service was unparalleled. Their dedicated team made sure I was taken care of from the get go. The day before I set off for Texas, Trans Van promptly showed up to my old door and packed everything with great care and attention to detail. A short while later, all my belongings were moved into my new place with the same great care. If I ever move again, I’ll go with Trans Van Lines!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2200

Earlier this week I got a job offer a few states west of me. I didn't know how to feel but I knew I had to get moving and I had to get moving quick. I searched around to find how in the world I would get all of my possessions on the road and came across Trans Van Lines. This company is top-notch. I had a large television that needed to be moved, which I was the most worried about, and they got it to my new apartment safe and sound without a scratch. Not to mention all of my other belongings were packed NEATLY. I don't think I ever had a package that was packaged with the intent to make unpacking effortless! If you're looking for any type of moving service, big or small, don't hesitate to reach out to these folks. Top notch, quality service!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1550

Moving is already stressful enough, but I needed to move back to my hometown while six months pregnant. I am so SO thankful for Trans Van Lines. I can't brag enough about their customer support. The entire process could have quickly become a nightmare but they made it so easy to get all of my possessions, big and small, to and from with no trouble.

They were so helpful and patient, even when I'm sure I was a bit bossy. They even took the time to handle fragile items with special care to be sure nothing would get damaged.

I really hope I don't have to move again in the near future but if I do, I'm definitely using Trans Van Lines again!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1500

My husband received a great opportunity in Seattle! Yeah, but now what?? Since we never made a cross-country move, we had no idea what to do next. We reached out to friends from Church who live on the Air Force Base and they referred us to Trans Van Lines.

While my husband left for Seattle, I was left handling the move myself. I started the program being extremely intimidated but Trans Van Lines made the entire transaction effortless. WOW! The interaction we had was absolutely brilliant. Their customer service was superb. While everything went great with the packing of our home, labeling in N. Charleston. The team was so nice.

But the move was cross-country, no matter how well you pack items somethings always break. Well, after getting into our new home - I contacted Trans Van Lines to deliver all our items, I was expecting damage. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE! I was elated.

I highly recommend this organization, they made an absolute stressful situation..effortless. Thank you - Trans Van Lines!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $3000

I was in a bit of bind to find a moving company at the last minute. Trans Van Lines showed up and honestly showed out. I had originally had another company set in place to move me from VT back to my hometown in FL. I was doing the best that I could but there were so many delays that I could not take it anymore. After about two cancelled flights and waiting around all day for the last moving company, they ended up being a no show. Luckily I was able to get refunded and find Trans Vans Lines through another search. Finding long distance movers is really hard, especially up North for some reason. Vermont is basically no mans land and very few trucks pass through. If they do, its usually because someone is moving into the state and that’s not very often. Anyway, I was able to receive a quote to have both my studio apartment and Lancer moved for a much lower price than the last company. Although I was a bit apprehensive to give another company a shot, they delivered on their promise. They dealt with my apprehension and gave exceptional customer service. Provided me all the answers I needed to my question and were able to send someone my way within a few days. I am so grateful for you guys! Thanks again!
