These are one if the worst in industry with no integrity or respect for their customers. They put everything on inventory and quoted 1100$ for my move. Idiots came on time and loaded my goods in truck amd then said you have big items and quote is $4000.
I can not beleive jumping cost by 4 times. And reason is your bed has big frame and headboards which was clearly written in inventory. My boxes are big just because it did not say “large” on outside box.

After 2 hrs of argument I cancelled it and they put my furniture in parking lot with attitude.

Beeare of their SALESMANS ( especially GUS) as they talk very nice but has not control on shipment part. They will not even pick ur phones.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1100

They are not a moving company they are just shippers! They are very nice on the phone and hook you by providing a reasonable quote of $3100 for a 2 bedroom home. After I started packing I called and added more items and the quote went to $4400. On moving day vendors showed up, put all my belongings on a truck and stated the move will now cost me over $9100! A scam but not the worst of it! From there my items went into a warehouse and sat for 2 weeks! Then loaded onto a bigger truck where after numerous phone calls my belongings finally showed up 3 weeks later, but almost everything was destroyed after being moved 4 times by people who do not care about your belongings. Trans Van Lines have you pay by cashiers checks because they know if you paid by credit card all would stop payment after your belongings are destroyed! DO NOT USE THEM contact a reputable moving company who does not use outside vendors and throw your items around 4 times to save money! HEED MY WARNING!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $9100

I called trans van lines to conduct business with and after the sale person (Felice) gave me a quote, I was bombarded with calls every single day for four (6) days wanting my business. After deciding to use them, I was given a price for the haulage, told the amount to deposit and informed of the final payment on delivery.

Sale rep told us the cost would be $1470, which included $75 because we were on the third floor and it is a one time payment. we were also told the cost is our FINAL PRICE

when the guys came to load my items, BEFORE they started loading, we were given some papers to sign which we did. AFTER they finish loading we were told we had exceeded our cubic space. At no time the sale rep mentioned $1470 was for only 400 cubic. we were also told by the loaders, it is $75 per FLIGHT OF STAIRS. With the additional cubic space our items occupied, we were then told the additional 200 cubic took our final price to over $2700. When we requested the items be taken out the truck, we were informed of a payment to remove them. We were also informed the delivery will be done in 3-5 days. Then we were told there are charges for the company providing boxes to put the stuff in.

With our personal items loaded, and we got to our destination without them, trans van lines called to informed us that our delivery is 2-14 days. In an attempt to verify the information we were giving by the sales rep versus the details in the contract, we tried calling the sales rep and she was suddenly unavailable for several days, in fact, we never ever got her and the agent actually hung up the phone on us. When I called back and asked if she actually hung up the phone, she said the frequency went out. I was also told, they not discussing anything with me because it was my wife who signed the contract, yet my signature was on the receipt for the deposit. When we query the cost we were told the original quote was an ESTIMATE which was our FIRST time hearing that $1470 was an estimate. A few days later, we were called again and was told IF THE TRUCK IS TOO BIG TO GET TO OUR LOCATION, WE WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR A SMALLER UNIT. None of this was mentioned by the sales rep, and we were constantly told "THAT IS WHAT YOU SIGNED TO"

After receiving our items, we unwrapped them and realize, our dining room set and night tables were DAMAGE to the point of disrepair. We showed it to the delivery clerks and took pictures. Then the driver gave us papers to sign and told us "you have to sign now, I cannot wait for you to check all the boxes, im going to Connecticut" We make note of the damage table and night stand and signed. Upon further query, the claims department told us, THEY WONT REPLACE THE ITEMS BECAUSE WE SIGNED TO SIXTY CENTS (.60cents) PER POUND OF DAMAGE ITEM.

This company has the ugliest most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced. Their sales rep gives MISLEADING information and only aim to get a commission from customers rather than giving FULL details of their policies. They work towards getting your signature to secure your money but has no intention to make their FINE PRINTS known to customers BEFORE you sign their contract. I feel like I was SCAMMED and ABUSED for my money, while enduring their UGLY service by their decision NOT to be fully transparent. I would NOT recommend this company TRANS VAN LINE to anyone.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2397

When we 1st hired this company they gave me an estimate and then later on more and more charges kept getting added on after signing the contract. We gave them half of their down payment over the phone and then we had to pay people to pick up our items and pay Again at pick up from the house to the destination at the dust and nation I was told to Have $512 in cash and that would be the most I would need for shuttle service which I had to pay because their driver is not a skilled driver. The charges came to $662 which are more than the 512 I was told to come up with. Also on the day of delivery are propane tank was getting filled and the truck is huge but because the propane driver knows how to drive a truck he was able to get into the property fill up the tank turn it around and leave the property like someone that has come and sense which trains Van and United American movers drivers do not have common sense. Instead they prefer to create a situation and make all kinds of excuses to stick you with shuttle charges in various fees and then I haven't even touched on the damages yet. They didn't unwrap all of the items because they knew that they were damaged and the pieces would fall off of a treadmill that I had and they left in such a hurry they just wanted a signature and to leave and wanted us to sign a sheet that said that there were no damages but there were damages that they were trying to avoid. Take your chances if you really want to use these guys but I'm telling you from start to finish they kept hitting us for hundreds of dollars and they do it well they have your personal items so you're a hostage.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4200

I had the greatest experience ever dealing with Trans Van line and have already started referring them to my friends! The team arrived right on time as promised on my moving day. They were extremely efficient and careful in everything they handled and did at my house. Everything was left clean after the move-out and I did not even have to clean a thing after all activity on all 3 floors. The 3 guys were extremely patient with the heavy items and all my items arrived safe and in one piece, not a single scratch. At my new condo, the team was exceptionally careful with the shared areas and they laid out runners all over my new flooring to keep it clean and not cause a single scratch there as well. They carried items, rather than drag them, and they were courteous and respectful throughout the process. Everything was put in its spot and they were in and out in under 4 hours, even though I had a lot of stuff and a bedroom that they disassembled and reassembled, really nicely, for me. Move day was the smoothest part, to my surprise, and I would definitely use American's team for my next move!

A good customer care service can really make or break a company. I have hired several moving companies before and while they did have capable movers, their customer services was outstanding. I think the theory is that if the movers do a good job, and customer service knows communication is key. In reality, when you have to entrust strangers with your valuables, a good customer care service really helps. I think Trans Van lines has an amazing customer service. I hired them for my move from Raleigh, NC to Springfield IL last month. The woman on the phone was very experienced. She explained to me about all their packages, took time listening to my requirements and then called me back with a brilliant quote. They confirmed the arrival time for the movers through emails. The movers were very efficient, but most companies have them. What really sets Trans Van lines apart is the ability to make you feel like you are in safe hands; all the credits to their customer.

THEY DO NOT HAVE THEIR OWN TRUCKS, THEY RENT TRUCKS FROM OTHER COMPANIES!!
My family wanted to do business with this company based of the "great" reviews online but these reviews are just LIES. The original estimate was $2100 but then we remember we had an extra king size mattress this caused the price to skyrocket to $2700 which is unbelievable for 1 king size mattress. Because of this we took 7 furniture items and guess what it remained at $2100 which doesn't make ANY sense if we took off so many items. We then took off more items then it was brought down to $2000 which we agreed to pay. When the driver arrived they barely had room on their truck and it wasn't the companies truck. They guy came and looked at our stuff and said that we had MORE things which ISN'T true we had EXACTLY everything on the list, he probably didn't know how to read. But they said that we must pay $3500 TODAY, even though we were going to pay only 70% of 2000 and then rest afterwards. One of the workers even told me that the guy in charge was a CROOK, his OWN WORKER called him a crook I think they were going to take the $3500 give the company there share and keep the rest. What I honestly think one should do is call the company while they are moving. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

BEWARE!! This company gave me a estimated price of $1600 and then after they got there and packed all of our stuff the price came out to $4415 due to 300 extra cubic feet because the way the truck was packed. When it arrived in New Orleans I took pictures of how much space it took up in the truck and it was exactly 400 ft.² and this is also with the mover that brought it here told me in the man running the crew told me I was that 800 ft.² (I have pictures and recorded him also)The guy running the crew had a different company shirt on "distance movers" after he gave me the price he then said well I could help you out but you have to pay me on the side and not say anything or they will find out and charge me the $4415. He then brought the price down $1500 only if I pay him $500(on the side). I recorded the entire move that I interacted with the movers; Including phone calls from the customer support, from tranvan line (Mona) that seemed to be involved in the bait and switch tactic. I'm currently talking with the local news to get this company exposed so this does not happen to other people I'm also contacting legal support; Please send me an email at "victorlouisiana024@hotmail.com" if they've done this to you so I can have a case built on them for the news channel. I moved from Lakeland Fl to Rhode Island and it was a nightmare!

The rep that helped me in the beginning, was wonderful and it was because of him that I decided to go with Trans over the other companies that I called. However, once the moving day arrived it went downhill fast.

They arrived 4 hours later than I was originally quoted which meant I wouldn't be leaving until much later. I was very careful in telling the rep what I would be needing to move, I used standard boxes from U-haul so they would have proper sizes and yet somehow I ended up way OVER. I was not allowed to speak with my rep and then was told that they would honour the original quote, if I gave them a good review. This seems to be something else that this company has pulled with other customers.

When it came time for delivery the fun continued. Luckily for me the apartment I was moving into didn't have restrictions on when move in activities can't happen, as they called me at 6:30 am on a Sunday to let me know that they would be at my place by 7 am. They needed to be quiet, because the last thing I needed was new neighbours hating me for waking them up on a Sunday morning, or complaining to the landlord. One of the 2 guys couldn't read English and was putting boxes all willy nilly. Boxes that I clearly labeled as FRAGILE were crushed, heavy items were placed on smaller, lighter boxes. It was a mess.

The big WTH moment came when they brought in my dining room chairs and were getting ready to leave.. without bringing in my table. When I asked about it they said that they didn't have a dining room table!! Somehow a 253 pound slate and wrought iron table disappeared between my old home and their storage facility where my things were kept for about a month. How do you lose a huge, heavy, table!! They were never able to find it or a small storage cube.

I lost so much thanks to water damage from Irma and thanks to Trans I lost even more. A lot of glass and pottery was destroyed and I know how to pack things. Everything was thickly bubble wrapped,then padded and finally placed in boxes with copious peanuts. I have moved across the country many times, sometimes moving myself and I never had as much damage as I had from this move.

People are rude, they lie, and they coerce you when you are at a very vulnerable point.

The emotional and financial toll that this experience has caused is tremendous and I won't ever be able to get back what was lost.

Stay away from this company.

Working with this company has been a blessing. I called in and had a quick, informative conversation, and a few hours later I received a quote by email. I agreed to the contract based on the fair and competitive price point in addition to the initial phone call. I had been assured that the professionalism of Trans Van Lines was unmatched. Well, both the pick up and delivery proved that the expectations were accurate. The workers for Trans Van Lines were meticulous enough to take close care of all items, and yet they moved quickly to finish the work surprisingly fast. We were thrilled to have such an excellent crew. I should also note their timeliness. Continually on schedule with excellent communication. I felt confident each step of the way that our move was being handled efficiently and professionally. And it was! No scratches, nothing misplaced, all on time. I’m very impressed and I would recommend this company to anyone.
