This move has been nothing but confusion and lack of communication by Superior Moving. Pickup was 6/23/17, delivery was said to be 7/1/17. It is now 7/11/17 and we have no idea where our possessions are. They have everything and most of the fees paid. We try and call everyday hoping for an update and we are either disconnected or just not answered. The 14 business day window is up this Friday July 14. Today alone I logged 35 call attempts to Superior Moving, all calls but 1 were immediately disconnected. They picked up once today, call attempt #30 and said they had no info, but assured me they would call back in 30 min with an update. That was 2 hours ago. We are extremely concerned since they have our possessions, most of the monies paid and now seem to avoid us. Superior Moving: if you are reading this please contact us! We need to know where our possessions are and when you will be delivering them.

This company is garbage and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have been through a lot of moves and this one is by far, no questions asked, the worst company. This move has been nothing but a headache from the start. I have been lied to left and right and ignored. I can't even tell you how many times I've had to call this company to be ignored, put on hold and then disconnected, or told they had no information for me. The only reason I even got a hold of them after they had my things was by using a different number and/or acting like I was going to schedule a move, and that's when I was placed on hold and hung up on several times.
When the guy originally asked about the items I had he didn't list a lot after I reviewed it and assured me that it wouldn't matter and my price wouldn't change. I have it all in an email that I saved. It should have been a red flag when I told the guy I needed the weight of the truck before an after my things were put on the truck for work purposes and he tells me they don't go by weight, they go by cubic feet or whatever because apparently weight is easily tampered with. I think cubic feet is more easily tampered with. After going back and forth about it the guy told me he left the drivers a note to make sure they get the weight.
A few days before the company showed up I received another call to go over everything. Long story short my price now went from $3500 to $6000. And after I thought I made it clear that I didn't want to pack anything myself, I find myself having 3 days to pack my entire apartment because the guy never put it down. I already paid them some money and they wouldn't reimburse me so as much as I didn't want to I stuck with them. Plus this was Friday afternoon and the movers were coming in a few days, I didn't have time to try to find anyone else.
The movers call and say they are on their way, I mention the weight and they say they knew nothing about it, big surprise! Anyways, they get the weight and the first thing I ask them when they arrive, and I questioned it before as well and was told the same answer by another person, when you load my things it is not going to leave this truck and go on another or in any type of storage is it, it will be going straight to where I'm moving? The guy told me no that everything will stay on that truck and be brought right to me. I had 2 witnesses right next to me to verify it all. They had another shipment in front of mine going a little further. After having very young and what seemed to be un experienced kids moving my things, sliding boxes all over the hardwood floors and badly scratched them up, I took very good care of the floor and I just waxed them. They didn't even try to be careful even though I asked them to. Anyways, I lost a huge chunk of my deposit due to their negligence. One again call time after time regarding that to be completely ignored.
I told the main guy, who did all of the talking, to stop and let me know when they reached the mark they drew for cubic feet that I paid for. They did it the first time but the second time they kept going. I thought everything was fine because the guy never said anything. When they were almost finished the guy says my total is now $9,758.60 and there are a few things they couldn't fit. Are you kidding me! There were gaps across the entire top. Now tell me again, weight is easily tampered with compared to cubic feet? Bull Sh*t! I went from $3500 to 9,758.60?
I'm waiting for my things to arrive, the guy told me I would receive it the following week. I call very anxious to receive my things because I had a 5 month old and packed most of her things with the thought that I was getting everything 1 week later. Another long story short I called and called and called, ignored hung up on. I finally find out thy took everything off of the truck and put it in storage and have yet to even start transporting it where I need. It's now been 2 weeks when I was told I'd get everything in 1 week.
I finally receive my things 3 weeks later after calling more than I can remember every single day. The guy shows up by himself and says he's waiting on 2 guys to come help. They finally show up, each bring 1 thing inside, and are all of the sudden gone. The driver says they wanted too much money. So now my husband is stuck helping this 1 guy and I'm trying to take care of a fussy baby. Needless to say I was not able to keep up with the list and my husband was too busy being a nice person and helping the guy. Once everything was inside, so the guy said, he has me sign the papers and leaves without checking anything or going over things. Stupid me for signing the papers. Anyways, I am now left with damaged and broken furniture, broken items in several boxes, and several missing boxes. I had clothes for my daughter for p to 2 years, spent hundred and hundreds of dollars on these clothes, the boxes I had labeled 6+ months are gone. I went to put larger clothes in her dresser because she was out growing the size I had for her and now my daughter has no clothes at all that fit her except the suitcase of clothes that I brought with us. I had a large box labeled pillows, bought 6 brand new $50 pillows and that box is gone, a brand new vacuum, never taken out of the box is gone, the large boxes of diapers I had silicone wrapped together were torn apart and 2 boxes are missing, my brand new bedroom set is all messed up,the bed looks like it was dropped on the corners because the corners are all messed up, not to mention the deep scratches all over it, the wood on one of the dressers is now broken, another dresser is scratched up and chipped all over the place, the back of a shelf is torn apart, the glass on my clock is broken, the list goes on. I am so over my head with this and if this company doesn't start picking up their phone they're going to have some legal problems on their hands.
Now I'm doing nothing but kicking myself for not going with the company I spoke to before this one who quoted me $5000 for 5200 pounds, that includes them packing. Instead I pay nearly $10,000 to pack everything myself and it was 5600 pounds. Yea I would have had to pay a little more but it wouldn't have been $10,000 and I wouldn't have had to pack anything myself.

I learned! When they arrived to pick up the furniture, which was less than what they had on the estimate, the driver immediately asked for a 50% increase. I offered to remove the medium boxes that [NAME EDIT] said would not be a problem because we were far under the minimum, but the driver said the furniture will not fit in the minimum space, which [NAME EDIT] said was 350 cf. But the driver said we needed near double that amount. We refused! We lost our deposit, but not our dignity. (I know, can't take dignity to the bank!Business practices like this need to be stopped. We filed a formal complaint with NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. It's a shame that this type of practice is allowed to go on. Other reviewers here obviously had no choice but to pay.

I moved in August of 2017 from Massachusetts to North Carolina. I wish I NEVER used this fraudulent so called "superior moving" criminals. The head guy tried to get me to sign paperwork before he wrote the price and he wanted the down payment in cash. I refused to do either. I asked them to be careful with our TV's, big furniture, stereo system and especially my boxes I had marked fragile. Well that was a waste of my breath. After waiting and constantly calling them for almost a month about my furniture when it arrives it's not one of their trucks. It was only one guy so my cousin had to help him unload my things. As they were bringing things in I was doing inventory and found that three TV's were damaged, furniture missing, three glass tables that were given to me from my grandmother years before she passed were also damaged, glasses were broken and parts to furniture were missing. I got all the drivers information including his truck information that night and I contacted these crooks the very next day. They said I'd have to file so I followed everything they said I had to do. The claim was received around Sept. 14th, 2017. I called and emailed them the last response I received was my claim was processed and I will be receiving compensation. January comes and I've still been calling sometimes getting up hung up on but I'd call again and emailing to no avail. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau and honestly I feel like that was a waste of time. I reported to the Attorney General in Massachusetts and in New Jersey too. Massachusetts said it's a New Jersey issue and New Jersey said nothing. I still haven't received compensation for my furniture to this day. I'm not giving up on holding Superior Moving Systems accountable for misleading people, changing the agreed upon price, losing belongings and damaging items.
Jake, my first point of contact, conned me into signing up with his company by giving me competitive rates, and assured our belongings would reach us within a couple of days of pick up. My girlfriend and I were moving from NJ to GA ( Sept 26-27). I specifically told Jake I needed to move a one bedroom apartment, approximately 35- 40 boxes, dining table w/ chairs, mattress, and 2 coffee tables, and one book self. Initial estimate was $1400, as he suggested 300 cubic square feet. I had no idea what that meant and he assured me it should fit with the items I mentioned. I put down a deposit of around $500 which later learned was non-refundable. I had booked this a month before our move, and was told by Jake he would be my point of contact until the end and "I am here for you". A week before my move now, and I haven't heard back from Jake, and I needed to move my date to a few days earlier. I called Superior Moving and was rudely answered by someone, nether-the-less he moved my date to Sept 24-25. I had to call over 4x 2 days before my big move to get a confirmation for Sunday, Sept 24on a Sunday.
Sunday, driver shows up at 10:55am, he shows me the "cubic sq ft" in the truck. The 300 cubic sq ft Jake reserved for us was joke! By the time everything was loaded driver calculated 800 cubic sq ft!! My bill went from $1400 to $3000! I would have been better off getting a uhaul and hire some helpers and come out about half of that price. In addition, I was charged $80 for extra empty boxes, totaling $225.
Long story short, we ended up paying $2987, but were charged initially way less. Once the security deposit was paid we had NO CHOICE but to go with this company, as deposit was non refundable ( we paid $500 deposit).
WORST COMPANY - If this review can help ONE person I will see its worth. I don't usually write reviews, but I could not let others suffer as I had.
PS - Alos, out household items were mishandled, damaged, broke, boxes were open/busted. NO CARE of our belongings.
My moving experience with Superior Moving Systems could not have gone any better. We were nervous about the move and taking all our belongings across state lines but I don't have any complaints with the services we received.
I received a job offer in Boston right before Thanksgiving and had just three weeks to find someone dependable to cart all of our stuff from Central Florida to Massachusetts. I was very nervous with being so close to the holidays that finding someone to help us out was going to be an issue. Luckily we found these guys.
The moving team showed up right on time and ready to go the morning of the move. The crew loaded the truck with care and made sure that all of our boxes and furniture were secure and safe. It was important that everything was treated carefully as we were moving a lot of delicate items and some antique furniture.
After hauling all our stuff from Orlando, FL to Boston, MA our items were unloaded with just as much care and caution as they received when being loaded. Furniture and boxes were placed in the correct rooms in a delicate and orderly fashion, insuring no dings or scuffs on our new walls.
Working with Superior Moving Systems was a dream. I am so glad my wife and I trusted them with our possessions. All of our items showed up without a scratch or a scuff. If you are looking for someone to help you out with your move I definitely suggest these guys.
Bait and switch!! Beware! I'm active duty military and needed our items to be moved from our storage unit to Pensacola. They quote you much cheaper than competitors then show up and tell you that you have too many items and they have to repack them and you need to pay them $4000 more. When you tell them no and that's not what you were quoted, they tell you "oh well" and keep your $700 deposit. I think they've rated themselves high on a few sites. Don't fall for them. They're not accredited and have multiple complaints out. Working with base legal to get them blacklisted for other military families! Learn from our misfortune!!
Whatever they tell you to get you to sign up do not believe it they are going to increase the price or threaten you that you're going to lose your deposit number to move they're going to come and take your stuff somewhere in New Jersey and put it in a storage and then increase the price and you have no choice but to agree to whatever they tell you because you need your stuff I took my stuff one month to get to me and they increase the price $3,000 more than what they told me do not sign with this people do not do business with this people at all.
