Simpsons Removals

We have just received our goods in Perth Australia that the Simpson crew packed and shipped for us. I've got to say from the very first call to their office they were professional and understanding as we had some very expensive art work. The quote I got from them did go up but I've go to admit I did take more stuff and I was expecting to pay more as they did tell me "you pay for what you take". In short they were excellent and I would recommend to anyone.

Service cost: £2700

At first we thought how good and efficient they were. Survey guy came very quickly, quotes were sent to us straight away, A LOT of emails reminders chasing for confirmation.. They confirmed time frame for delivery was 2 to 3 weeks max, so we decided to go ahead with Simpsons. We were very impressed when the guys came to collect our staff, quickly and professionally.

Unfortunately, after that everything went completely downhill.
It has been now 4 weeks since they collected our staff and after several emails and calls (which most of them were ignored) I still don't have my stuff and what's worse I don't even have answer as of when it will arrive!! But let me tell you, they don't care at all.
Customer service PRIOR the booking was good, but once they have confirmed the business it's very very poor. I will not choose Simpsons ever again and I will make sure everyone else is very aware of what kind of service they will receive so they can choose a better company who treat customers equally as good from start to finish.

Simpsons' were initially a really great company - quick quotations, very helpful staff, and the removal was smooth and pleasant. The problem started once our items left the house. Our initial estimated delivery was one week (we were so impressed, this swayed our decision to pick them), which became two weeks, then three weeks, then four. We were assured the four week estimate would be accurate, but then promises to call us and confirm were ignored, and every time we called them we were assured, again, that they would call and confirm two days later. They never returned our calls, we always ended up calling them again. We're still waiting, worried, in our new place with none of our possessions, and no final confirmation on delivery.

Simpsons generally seem like a good company in terms of moving and prep work, but their estimates are much vaguer than they make them out to be, and they aren't very forthcoming when trying to confirm things - dates just keep moving. It's very hard to work around as a first-time mover.

This is the second time we have used Simpsons – once to move us to Portugal and this week to move us back. From the start, the dealings with the office were seamless – even when we had a change of heart and asked them to redirect our belongings directly to the UK when they were en route to France. Once here, the four-men team were brilliant – efficient and courteous and without fault. Thank you to Sue and the office team and Paul and his crew. We used Simpsons to transport a car from Spain to the UK. The original pick-up was badly handled. The guy turned up a day early expecting to take the car. He returned the next day to take the car but the communication between the 3rd party removal co and Simpsons is very poor. Once they had the car, and obvs payment, we had to chase daily for updates as to when the car would be delivered to the UK. One of the responses received from the customer services department was nothing short of rude. Car was finally delivered 2 weeks later (after being told 1 week), and was left with a builder, not the car owner. This is a shocking lack in care for belongings. The only person capable of any response was Ersin but I would not recommend this removal company to anyone.

Cons
Once you're out of the country, the 6-8 weeks delivery time becomes the delivery time once it has made it to a boat, for which they have no specific date in mind. They will lie to you to get your business.
You then start calling them to ask when it will be delivered and they send you form emails inviting you to spend an additional 50% of the original cost for them to send it now.
They lie to you about a date.
The date passes.
They're not sure why it was not sent.
You threaten legal action.
They send your shipment with a third party company after holding it for 11 months.

I have used them to move my 15 cubic meters items from U.K to Netherlands. They delayed my delivery 2 times. Suppose to deliver in Dec but they did not. also did not even inform me that the first delivery 15 of my boxes is still in their storage. They deliver my boxes in a hurry did not even count or match my boxes. Very unprofessional. The last time they promise to deliver my last 15 boxes and only came 9 boxes. They just said to claim insurance. This is their attidute. The worst service I ever had. They are totally unprofessional and full of lies.. DO NOT USE THEM. THEY WILL LOSS YOUR ITEMS..
They are very RUDE AS WELL!!

Where do I start after contacting this company about removals abroad we were told ignore the reviews it was customers with problems nothing to do with us. We were guaranteed that our items would arrive within weeks as it had to go from UK by boat at least 3 Months later it was still sitting in there warehouse in Kent nothing had been done so after god knows how many phone calls to Ersin it was loaded onto boat we tracked it all the way over to us only to be told we had to pay more money unfortunately we weren’t willing to pay another penny to these people it was stuck in about 3 hours from us in storage when we rang storage people here they said the bill wasn’t paid from uk even though we had paid in full door to door so more phone calls to the U.K. more expense to be told by Ersin nothing to do with me it’s finance department problem tries to get hold of them for days to be told every time there in a meeting or there out to lunch lies lies lies we wanted our stuff fir weeks we rang the U.K. askin* to pay the bill but Ersin said sorry nothing to do with me I became so frustrated with this company we threatened legal action but that never bothered him either from abroad it is very expensive to keep calling the U.K. but he never seemed to care about that even though he more or less begged us to use Simpson’s as he could guarantee our stuff would arrive this was January we are now in July and only just arrived not because they paid the bill oh no because our shipping company over here said we could have it as a good will gesture and they would sort it out with the U.K. AVOID SIMPSONS AT ALL COST THEY ARE MONEY GRABBING THIEVES WHO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DONT DELIVER GOODS OVER £3000 TO BE TOLD “WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO “ ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING WATCHDOG REPORT MADE AVOID PEOPLE.

Was our worst experience! We moved to Cyprus last year at the end of Jan 2018 and were told that the shared container would arrive 6 - 8 weeks later. So we planned to get the house cleared on 16th Jan and expected the stuff to arrive latest at the end of March. Which would be 10 weeks - due to winter time and less movings. But it arrived another 6 weeks later!! We had to live from 2 suitcases in an empty house for 4 months. Worst time ever!! Luckily I could work with my laptop - services over the internet, but my partner couldn´t because of lack of equipment. So we lost a lot of money! When we finally got the message that our container was shipped - there was a sudden incident in one harbour - the crane got broken!! What a stupid lie!! There are several cranes on a harbour and not just one, so there is enough substitution. It was just to stop us calling - and another 2 weeks of delay. Of course we had to pay the company at the harbour also (like the review before) and this one they don´t tell you.
In the end when the things arrived - there were many things lost. At least 1 or 2 boxes. Because they didn´t arrive in the wooden crate anymore in which they were collected. So they were single boxes and stuff and you can´t control everything immediately. And we had to work under pressure and needed time to open all boxes - that needed longer than 4 weeks. I was also tired of speaking to them. The men tried to be quite helpful and friendly, but the women were really unfriendly and never answered a mail after 2 approaches.
So I never let them know that some things were missing - just after some time some things came up in our mind that haven´t arrived. Finally my desk chair got broken after a couple of weeks. Because the things I guess were not really moved carefully, so the chair leg got a crack and I fell down on the stone floor. Could have broken everything or be dead - there was a wooden cabinet next to my head.
So DON`T USE this company.

In brief we used them to move from Derbyshire to Goa India, They lied about time scale , they packed terribly , they lied about customs costs , they allowed over 20 items to be stolen , they allowed 30 plus items to be broken , it took months longer than they stated , Washed there hands in communicating , refused to provide directors email details , Insurance claim took a further 3 months as information was withheld , All in all a disaster , they even stated it was our fault at one point for allowing it to happen . We paid £2700 incl insurance , Claimed £3700 on insurance , got paid £2300 . We feel like we have paid to be robbed . A complete bodge company , old man Simpsons name is in the toilet.
