Terrible company. Lie to you from beginning to end. First off, they are not amoving company. They are a broker that books

your move and charges you thousands to do it. You can easily do it yourself. Stanley of course lied and said he had hundreds of trucks. They have no trucks. They are a broker. Even the owner of the company is nothing more than a crook. They do it all is the slogan Stanley told me they go by, we’ll… if they mean they lie, jack up prices, don’t return phone calls, lie some more during your move, jack up the prices again, and then blame everything on the moving company they partner with! Then yes!!! They do, do everything!worst company I have ever dealt with.read other reviews. Same story. The good reviews they got do not mention them. Remember the movers are not Safe Ship. They are just brokers. They love to list their good reviews under the moving company name they hired so be careful. Safe Ship themselves has 0 good reviews. That is because they are crooks that probable have some people on phones in a broken down warehouse somewhere.

I booked with safe ship to move me from WY to FL, and they made the whole process seamless. Michelle and Lesley in customer service were so nice, they answered my every call even when I called after hours. When the movers arrived, they explained to me that I would be utilizing more space on the truck and I would need to pay for that space used if i wanted to move all of my things. Of course i was surprised because I didnt know what that really meant. All i knew was that they were telling me I would have to pay more, I called Michelle and she explained to me that I can stick with my estimate if i choose to but the movers were just giving me a heads up in case I went over. She made me feel a lot better about the situation and decided to load all of my belongings. The movers were really kind and helped me out with some large items that i couldnt lift or pack myself. Once they loaded the truck i definitely felt like all of my stuff would be safe, it was all blanketed and wrapped up neatly. It took about 2 weeks for me to get my shipment which was perfect since I took the scenic route to FL. My belongings were all in tact and nothing was missing. I would recommend this company to anyone who actually understands how stressful moving can be. 10 out of 10 for sure!

This has been the most stressful experience of my life. I spoke to Darren and went through the process step by step of moving. Room by room. I was downsizing from 4 bedrooms to one. After giving the most accurate details of what would be moved and hearing the estimate I decided sell everything that I would be getting rid of ahead of time. That was subtracting 3 bedrooms of furniture, living room, formal dining room, all furniture from kitchen. Essentially only taking personal items, king bedroom, washer/dryer, small freezer and boxes. I bought moving boxes so I was accurate on count and size. You’d think this would have lessened the estimate. But once the movers arrived and I was driving to the new house I received a call from the movers stating that the estimate went up to over $1500 move than the original estimate with all of the furniture included! I was livid. They told me that if I didn’t agree to pay the additional amount they would leave what they considered the overage. They have you over a barrel knowing that there’s very little if anything you can do. They picked up on August 27th and as of today September 8, 2021 they still have not delivered. Safe ship Moving is only the brokers and of no help once they get the first third of estimated cost. Any and everyone I know will know what to expect from this company. I blame myself for not reading the reviews. Had I, I’d never have hired them to begin with. I’m appalled that this can continue to go on.

Incompetence at its finest. We hired Safe Ship to move the contents of our storage unit from Seattle to Virginia. Days after our belongings were collected, we were contacted by the police department of a neighboring State and informed that the transport company (partner of Safe Ship) was actually criminal outfit with litigation pending in multiple States. Had the police not caught they when they did, we would have lost $20,000 in property. Safe Ship’s response when we re-contacted them? “Not our fault. No refunds.” Criminal investigation ongoing, also looking into Safe Ship’s role in the fraud. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

This people are the absolute worse. They have no regard for customers. I paid for my move about 1 month ago. Never explained moving window system and yet they called a little less than 24hrs to the so-called moved date. I told them I had an emergency, they called me a liar and I asked them to try the next day. They flaked again for about 2 more days. They then asked me to pay additional charge for a faster move. They are the absolute worse. No one should go through the pain this people put me through in the midst of a stressful move.

I should have read these reviews before booking. The team that showed up tried to scam us (didn’t want to take a load worth anything less than $5k). The GM called to ensure he’ll send one of his “best” teams the following week. They then cancelled on the day because they didn’t have the right insurance (and no one bothered to check the requirements I had sent multiple times over the weeks leading up to the move). So bad. Anything they say over the phone is misleading too.

This company as I have now found out make it a PRACTICE to quote you a price, only to CHANGE that price by sometimes THOUSANDS of dollars only to blame YOU for quoting your move incorrectly...but not before asking for a LARGE portion down first. My move was from WA to FL, with 1000 deposit...then the quote the next day (of course by "a new guy that didn't know better") to go from 6199 to 7800 and now needing an addition 2500 for deposit!

USE A REPUTABLE CREDIT CARD AND CHARGE BACK THE DEPOSIT DUE TO FRAUD. DO NOT use a debit card people!

These people are nothing but car salesmen and frauds!

For anyone thinking about hiring a moving company, make sure you do your research. Upon moving from California to Tennessee, I hired Safe Ship Moving Services out of Florida and entursted them with everything we own. Bad call….

We were rapidly becoming the victims of consumer fraud. Lies, manipulation, and extortion quickly followed leading to months of what is known as a “hostage”moving situation.

Our initial agreement with these horrible people stated that our belongings would be delivered within “7-21 days” after pickup.

Fast forward to the end of our delivery window (9/17) and our belongings are nowhere in sight. Calls to Safe Ship Moving Servives provided zero help. I began calling almost every day. One of their “customer service” agents (Lesley) laughed about it on the phone while trying to state that it is not their responsibility to find the driver (it was - safe ship ads claim to “take care of you from start to finish”)

This dynamic continued for months. Increasingly hostile phone calls producing no results led us to retain the help of an attorney. Finally, after a ridiculous number of calls, letters, and texts, “Lesley” assures me that they found our driver, who is demanding another $1500 in “redelivery fees” (long story). His name is “Mike”

Initial call to “Mike” tells us that if we don’t wire the stated amount of money via bank wire we will never see our things again (Extortion). In Calls back to Lesley at Safe Ship she made it very clear that “we should just pay him whatever he wants.” That if we didn’t we’d never see our things again. Lesley also told us “don’t make him angry, if you get upset with him he will block you and no longer respond. You’ll never see your things again.” (Actual quote, I wrote it down).

Long story short - after 3 months of lies, deception, extortion, and tense emotional living, we lost thousands. Initial quote was for under 5k and we ended up 10k in by the end. If you are looking to move, do your research.

Initial binding estimate was way off; person listed a zero turn mower as a push mower. When called to confirm list had to do a video call to view in order to give accurate binding estimate. Jumped up over $6,000. Told needed a full truck; driver shows up with original estimate/list of $3904. Told his truck is half full and we won’t fit but he would get another truck and would charge us over $12,000 for the move. Told him no, called corporate and they informed us they had someone coming next day and they would make contact. They did. Next day I contacted such person to confirm and he informs me he was told to not do the move. Called corporate and they informed me they went with another company. We do a phone conference and the man berates me on the phone due to my concerning questions with my experiences thus far and him also having a partially filled truck, I state it doesn’t feel like a compatible business deal right now and he continues to say I’m wasting his time etc and was calling off his driver. I state to corporate I wanted my deposit of 3890 back as I am going to just rent two uhauls and have my family members move me due to being a widow of only 8 weeks finances are an issue. She tells me to send an email. The general manager calls and states I am not entitled to a refund due to not having 48 hrs. I stated well you can’t provide me with the services as I was told to contact if I did not feel comfortable with any of the process. We are literally less than 24 hours away of when we need to be out of the house. She states she will call back in 30 minutes as she is the general manager and has more pull to drivers than her sales team. Have never heard back from her and we are hours past that 30 minute mark. All I need is my deposit back and all will be well. But taking my entire savings as a new widow and not providing me with reputable services nor standing behind a binding estimate is not a reputation I would want to portray. Definitely read the reviews out there. The negative ones are spot on. Those positive ones are far and few between. Those looking for a mover; DO NOT waste your time with a broker. Call the mover direct. I learned the hard way; in my defense, my deceased husband of 30 years did all of the household moves, finances etc so yes I feel scammed/ taken advantage of in this process.
