The experience with the moving staff Marlon on yesterday was absolutely great. He showed compassion and empathy for what I'm going through and it was greatly appreciated. Today, I had a follow up phone call with Johnathan. He took the time to explain and help me understand the delivery process. He was kind, and answered questions. I received great customer service from both Marlon and Johnathan. My hope and prayer is that the delivery will be smooth, safe, with no issues or concerns.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1430

They are NOT Military Friendly even though they are supposedly veteran owned. We contacted the company and spent hours on the phone and video chat walking through our house listing everything we needed done, after some negotiation we got the price down to Around $8,000 to pack up what we didn't have packed, and move it all to a storage area until we closed on our new house. Two days before the move we get a call from their "auditor" Who AGAIN goes through everything we need done, then tells us the price has gone up to $19,000. BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM!!!! We couldn't find another mover at the last minute, so we negotiated with the crooks to do less than half of the work, and all we had to do was send them another $1100. They had us in a no win situation, so we agreed. Then they called to say that THEIR rep had not fully documented everything on their end, so they couldn't be held responsible, besides it wasn't a contract, just an agreement.

Summary: We told them what we needed done, they gave us a price, then at the last minute they would not honor that price, and more than doubled the rate from $8,000 to $19,000. I am 24yr US Navy veteran who wanted to support a veteran owned company, but now regret it. ALL VETERANS BEWARE: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

My experience for CA to CO move:

Started with a phone call I wish I never made. First call to get a quote, spent like an hour to get a quote and detailed everything in the move. Was quoted higher than any other movers I had already been quoted by. When I stated my ideal budget the service rep went “to go talk to the owner” which should’ve been the first red flag as this is an obvious tactic.

They then gave me a quote which was close to what I asked for. Turns out in order to give me this quote they intentionally massively under rated the volume of my belongings. After the cancelation period, they called again to get the actual volume via video call, then proceeded to raise the rate by 50%. I wish I had just charged back my credit card because this was a textbook bait and switch scam.

Fast forward to when the movers come, they again want to raise the price even though I took a lot of stuff out of my move from when I had the call. They said they wouldn’t raise the rate if I left them a positive review on this website. So I did as I was coerced, but as of this morning I removed it.

Fast forward again to delivery. One person showed up late on a Sunday evening. He was nice and apparently was supposed to have a second guy who didn’t show up. His dispatcher calls me to try to tell me I owe even more money than what I was supposed to pay on delivery and proceeded to argue with me. Entirely unprofessional. Following this, I proceeded to help the one delivery driver move everything into my apartment.

Part of the deal was they were supposed to pad and blanket wrap all of my furniture. Let’s talk about that.

Coffee table - damaged badly. Media console - damaged badly. 2 night stands - broken surface. Several dishes packed by movers - broken. They didn’t wrap my rugs, so after watching several LARGE spiders crawl out of other things, I just threw them away for fear of what would be living in them. Boxes that said fragile were crushed. Some boxes were wet and smelled like they had been sitting in water.

The cherry on top of all of this—discovering that they lost the legs to my desk. So now I have the top of a very expensive desk, with no legs. And of course you cannot buy replacement legs.

This company runs a scam operation and completely takes advantage of people and will add on thousands of dollars to provide an AWFUL service. Please do yourself a favor and use a different company. I would have been far better off renting a truck and moving myself.

My father passed away recently and we had to up and leave our home of 15 years and move across the country. I was so worried about getting all the house hold things packed and moved I almost forgot about my only vehicle! It was about 10:30 at night and I panicked, thankfully when I called Mr Jerry was working late and got everything set up and handled for me without a hassle. Would not recommend any other company and please ask for Jerry W! Thank you again for being so kind and patient with me during this hard time!!

Abdul and Evan arrived on time and did an amazing job packing my belongings with the greatest care. They were courteous, fast, conscientious, and never even stopped to take a break! I nagged them to take a few minutes to rest, but they refused—they were like packing machines! I really enjoyed them and was impressed by their incredible work ethic. They made what might have been a stressful event much more bearable for me, and I’m grateful to have had my furniture in their care.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $14000

When mover came they made me write a review before the truck was even loaded. Well I gave a 5 star and would like to take it back. They gave a 0-7 window, when the time came I couldn’t get an answer of where my belongings are or when they will be delivered. The quote doubled in price for which this company is a broker and then the rest is the living company. Well mover called on a Saturday and said it would be delivered Sunday or Monday. They finally show up late and demand a $175 delivery fee and $$ to walk down a hallway. The mover hired two local men from that area off Craigslist’s and boxes were opened, crushed, things missing and broken. Will never use this coming ever again. Never have I had such a bad experience in moving. Have to pay cash before they would unload and totally disrespectful of any circumstances. This company is horrible. They don’t hire professional movers at all, they get the ratings online before anything is done. The mover they sent are a very shady company out of New Jersey. Lesson learned, pockets empty and broken items. Don’t book thru this brokerage

I spoke with Devin at SafeShip to initiate my move estimate and details. It was a great experience, Devin provided me with my options and let me decide what worked best for my situation. We remained in text conversation and were able to finalize the deal after several questions on my side which he had answers for, full disclosure.

I was then connected to ASAP Movers, Carlos was my point of contact and he was fantastic! We received a call the day before with a window of pick up and he was spot on! He even called with a 30 minute arrival notice. The ASAP team was professional,, efficient, had clear communication and were easy to work with. I would definitely use them again!

They are a broker, not the actual movers the mover was great. In my opinion Safeship i dishonest and horrible. They tell you when you get your quote the price doesn't change unless the customer changes it. Thats a lie. They tried to increase my cost by more than $3,000 after they received the initial payment. I made no changes.The attempted increase happened under the guise of a "quality" call. When I tried to cancel, they refused to refund the down payment. That was in excess of $5,000. I felt trapped and lied to. In the course of my move, there were 3 financial transactions made at the direction of Safeship. The first was directly to Safeship via debit card. Safeship required the next two be made directly tothe actual mover in cash, money order or via an app I believe but cannot conclusively state Safeship does this to structure financial transactions to avoid reporting requirements for financial transactions greater than $10,000. I haventhing good to say about Safeship and will not ever use or recommend them to anyone.

I would like to leave a detailed review regarding my moving experience from California to Oregon and address it to Veniamin Rasputin, who provided guidance, support, and valuable advice throughout this process.

Moving between states in the United States can be stressful, especially when relocating from a fast-paced and expensive state like California to a calmer and very different place like Oregon. There are many factors to consider: logistics, cost of living, taxes, housing rules, weather, and even lifestyle differences. Thanks to Veniamin’s experience and clear recommendations, many common mistakes were avoided, and the entire process felt much more manageable.

One of the biggest advantages was proper planning. From choosing the right timing for the move to understanding how to organize belongings, what items are worth transporting, and what is better to sell or leave behind — every detail was thoughtfully discussed. The moving process itself went smoothly, without unnecessary stress or confusion. Communication was clear, and all questions were answered quickly and professionally.

The move to Oregon turned out to be the right decision. Life feels more balanced, the environment is calmer, and the natural surroundings are truly beautiful. Compared to California, daily expenses are noticeably lower, and the overall pace of life is less hectic. The transition felt much easier because the move was well-prepared and carefully planned.

Overall, this moving experience was very positive. It was not just about transporting belongings from one state to another, but about making a conscious and well-organized transition to a new chapter of life. I would like to sincerely thank Veniamin Rasputin for his professionalism, attention to detail, and practical advice. His support helped save time, money, and nerves, which is extremely important when moving across states in the USA.

I just had Safe Ship one to my home and pick up boxes and an exercise bike to ship to a new state where I am moving.

Their communication was right on time, they called when they were on their way and right on time.

Their staff was very polite and well trained. The leader spent a lot of time with me filling out proper paperwork and making certain everything was correct.

Before the move, working with Mike and then Joshua was pleasant. Any calls I made or questions I asked were attended to promptly. If I got voicemail, someone called me back within 5 minutes.

The day after the move Matthew Carson and staff made certain everything went to my satisfaction. In fact, I changed the date when I could receive my items to a different day. Matthew made sure this was accomplished.

Safe Ship is an amazing company, Veteran owned, which is what I was looking for. I highly recommend them.

Having worked in customer service for over 40 years, I highly value when someone is proficient/efficient in their area of expertise. However, what creates customer loyalty and my writing a review is when they’re also kind, thoughtful, and a pleasure to be around.

The entire process of hiring Safe Ship for my 700 mile move was professional and efficient.

These gentlemen showed up and were very friendly, nice and professional! I was very comfortable from the beginning and they were impressive from beginning to end! I really do not know how they came and conquered my move stuff in the few hours they did, but if I was on the 1st floor and not the 2nd floor, they would have been EVEN faster! I am moving from L.A

to Florida and super excited! As a Disabled Veteran, I know I am in good hands and this has been a very good process for me the whole way thru. It is anxious moving and these guys removed all of my concerns and eased my anxieties. I am now ready to finish moving out of my place here in LA and begin my new chapter in Florida and when they arrive with all of my stuff, I am MORE than confident that they will move me in the same!
