Safe Ship Moving Services

I contracted with Safe Ship for a guaranteed move pick-up and delivery. They sent a mover that did not honor that paid for delivery guarantee, damaged items and lost boxes. Safe Ship assumed no responsibility for the poor movers provided and assumed no responsibility for the horrible move experience. The notion of using a move broker to oversee and guarantee a quality experience resulted in a hefty payment to Safe Ship and an incredibly derelict mover being assigned. Do not use Safe Ship expecting a smooth experience. There seems to be little quality control over the movers they use and they have little oversight or accountability over the move once they collect your money. In the end, they were of no help as I was left to deal with a fairly unprofessional non-responsive mover by myself and Safe Ship took zero responsibility for their actions. I was told they do not provide any refunds or restitution regardless of their role in the move. They collect your money and you're left to deal with the mess they set up for you. Do not use this company and expect quality service!!!!

Rushmore Van Lines did a phenomenal job moving my belongings from my apartment in Dallas to my new home in St. Louis. Eugene and Andrew were outstanding — professional, efficient, and incredibly communicative every step of the way. They handled everything with care, packed and loaded quickly, and made what could have been a stressful move completely smooth. Their teamwork and attention to detail were top-notch. My experience with Safe Ship was rocky but the actual delivery movers saved the day and the reason for a positive review. Murat was very professional and determined to satisfy the customer. He made sure everything was in order before leaving. I appreciate the level of communication and the follow-through. Although, I have found some issues as I continue to unpack, I appreciate the Murat's efforts.

I am disappointed with the end cost and hope I have no further issues.

I had to move my father's furniture after he died this fall. Called Safe Ship to help coordinate the moving of a lot of furniture. My first contact with them was very positive, as the gentleman was very friendly and listened carefully to all the needs and concerns I had. He took me from room to room to get a sense of what needed to be moved. He explained every part of the process from beginning to end. He looked for ways to save me money. After everything was completed, he walked me carefully through the paperwork and electronic signing. I received emails and texts to keep me posted every step of the way. Highly recommended, a very professional group.

This was honestly one of the worst moving experiences I’ve ever had. They quoted me one price and then tacked on almost double the amount in extra fees once they already had my belongings. I was told the move would only take a couple of days since it was a short distance, but it ended up taking a full week — and they didn’t deliver my things until almost 11:30 at night. It was incredibly stressful.

The movers themselves were rude and unprofessional, even smoking in the doorway of my house. When I tried to get answers about the delays and the extra fees, no one would pick up the phone or give me any information. At one point, they told me they had no idea where my belongings were, which made me genuinely think everything was lost.

Overall, do not believe the initial quote they give you, do not expect your things to arrive on time, and definitely do not expect any customer service if something goes wrong. I wish I had gone with a different company — this was an awful experience from start to finish.
