This company turned our move into a nightmare. They use on bait-and-switch pricing, make promises they don’t keep, and show an alarming level of incompetence.

One of the main reasons we chose them was the glowing star ratings and reviews featured on their own website. We now realize those cannot possibly reflect real customer experiences. We fell for it, and we regret it.

After we had signed the contract, we found out they wouldn't provide a firm delivery date unless we paid an extra $900. Without paying, we were told we’d be stuck with a 1–10 day arrival window. No one moving out of state can sit in an empty home for up to ten days without their belongings. We paid the extra fee because we had no choice. Even then, they still arrived a full day late, costing us another night in a hotel.

Pickup was just as awful. Scheduled for 8 a.m., they didn’t arrive until 5 p.m. When they finally showed up, numerous items were broken or damaged — artwork, a table, lamps, and other valuables — because of careless, disorganized packing. Boxes were stuffed with random items and mislabeled, turning unpacking into a chaotic mess.

They also refused to take any liquids, not just cleaners but even simple toiletries like shampoo and lotion, which forced us to throw out hundreds of dollars of products. And many of our items never arrived at all. They're just gone.

To make matters worse, they delivered one of our chests upside down. That’s how little care they take.

Customer service was practically nonexistent. Every call dumped us into the same voicemail loop with lower-level employees who could not tell us where our truck was or what day our belongings would arrive. Attempts to escalate were ignored — calls and messages to leadership went unanswered. They will not even provide the name of a single person in leadership. It genuinely felt like our possessions were being held hostage.

We reported the company to the Better Business Bureau over a month ago, and to this day, they have not offered any resolution. They also refuse to provide any direct contact information for their management team, which only adds to the lack of transparency.

I’ve moved many times, and this was by far the worst experience we've ever had with a moving company. We are not litigious people. however, due to the stress, inconvenience and lost money we experienced and the company's refusal to offer any resolution, we are now considering legal action.

Their low initial estimate is nothing more than bait — once you sign, the hidden charges, incompetence, and stress begin. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

I was in a tough situation. I wildly miscalculated my own abilities with moving my own stuff. When I had realized my mistake, I had 2 days to move out my belongings. I found Safe Ship Moving through panicked Google searches. I called their number, no wait, immediate reassurance, help the very next day, within an hour of planning and contacting all their helpers. My stuff was picked up the very next day within 24 hours of scheduling, and the team reassured me throughout the entire process. The same day I had already recommended this company to a fellow neighbor who will be leaving themselves within the next year.

Jake had been very professional and polite when verifying my personal experiences and asked I share to help the business reach more people. People who may have been in the same spot as I was just days ago. Thank you very much!

I had such a great experience with this moving company! From start to finish, they were incredibly flexible, accommodating, and genuinely nice to work with. They went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process and answered every question with patience and clarity.

The team was professional, careful with my belongings, and always had a positive attitude. It’s rare to find a company that’s this reliable and this kind. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth, friendly moving experience!

Quick, thorough, and friendly. Overall wonderful service from Rushmore; Iurii and his team were excellent from start to finish. They showed up right on time, walked through the plan with me, and immediately got to work without wasting a minute. Every item, from bulky furniture to fragile keepsakes, was carefully wrapped, labeled, and loaded so nothing was damaged or misplaced.

The crew communicated clearly throughout the day, checking in about where I wanted things placed and offering helpful suggestions when I wasn’t sure. They worked efficiently but never made the move feel rushed, and they stayed flexible when a few last-minute changes came up.

What stood out the most was how polite and professional everyone was. Moving can be stressful, but their calm, positive attitude made the entire experience surprisingly easy. The price was fair for the level of service I received, and there were no hidden fees or surprises at the end of the job.

I would absolutely use Rushmore again and recommend Iurii’s team to anyone who wants a smooth, low-stress move handled by true professionals. From the first phone call to the final box being set down in my new place, I felt listened to, respected, and genuinely cared for as a customer, not just another job on the schedule, which made a huge difference for me.

I had a cross country move I needed help with. I booked with another company first who turned out to be very exploitative and shady, and Safe Ship came to my rescue and was able to pick up my furniture the next day. The safe ship associates (Patrick and Noor) were super helpful and understanding. Their transparency made this process much more manageable. They found me every discount available to me, which was very thoughtful. The moving company was Rushmore Van Lines, and they were super helpful, kind, and reasonable about everything. They worked with me to get everything on the truck and I didn’t have to do much moving at all. Very communicative. I will definitely be booking with them again for future moves.
