Roadway Moving

Although they are the first movers I have used who delivered my items without any breakage, they did not deliver two very expensive specimen plants in their equally expensive planters. They are rare enough that I can not even replace them.They insisted on my signing off on everything having arrived before they would even unload the truck. So, I had to sign off despite two plants valued at about $500 each NOT being delivered. This should not be allowed. They were unresponsive when I asked that certain things NOT be packed. They packed them anyway and then could not find them to unpack them even when I discovered immediately that they were gone. In a couple of instances, the foreman insisted I had changed my mind and told them to pack the items. I did no such thing. The foreman, a young guy, had a mouth I could do without. He insisted the scratches on my bed frame were not only there before they moved it out to the truck but that he had pointed them out to me. Not true. When I asked that they not put other items on my bedroom dresser while they were packing because it was an expensive piece of furniture, his response was that I had enough money to replace it. That was one comment which got reported to the company. They were incredibly expensive, and I have to wonder why they insist on a credit card and will not take a check. Would I use them again? Heck, no.

Phenomenal and amazing moving company! I had a wonderful experience with Roadway Moving company, and highly recommend them for your next move, because WOW. To start off, this was no easy feat. This was a cross-country move from Los Angeles to New York. I had everything already in a storage unit so their team arrived on time and early, secured all of my items, took a detailed inventory, and packed it up into their truck. They then went on to transport it across the country. The communications team also maintained great updates with me, and let me know when to expect the delivery. In less than two weeks my items arrived on the truck in NYC, and they delivered everything in perfect condition ( I WAS SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT) !!! Not to mention they also took all of my items up my New York City walk-up/multiple flights of stairs. I made sure to provide them with water and lunch for doing such a great job and left tips for both the pickup and delivery. From the movers to their comms team, I had a wonderful and seamless process. I will definitely be using them next time I move.

I cannot begin to explain how kind Sergio and his crew were! They were punctual and explained the entire moving process before they began to me, took notes of anything I wanted them to be aware of. Also if you’re a pet owner (i’m a cat mom) they even ask you if there’s anything they could do to make your pets more comfortable! This was the first time I felt like I could trust and sit back while the movers did the moving for me. They disassembled and reassembled all of my furniture that I needed and I was super worried about my white couch but it made it safely without any marks to the new apartment. I would 100% use their services again, and have already recommended Roadway Moving to all of my friends :’)

I used Roadway Moving for my 1800sq foot, 4 floor townhouse move, and I was BEYOND impressed! They showed up right on time and were super friendly, which made the whole experience nice and relaxed. They packed everything up quickly and handled everything with care—nothing got broken! They hauled heavy items likely couch and grill down four flights of stairs without a hiccup. They even organized the boxes for easy unpacking, which was a huge help. I’d definitely recommend Roadway Moving and will absolutely reach out to them again when I need to move again. TOTALLY worth it!

Firstly, they are so thorough with the planning, contracting and estimate process. The communication is prompt and clear and they follow up to check on any updated changes to your # of boxes and larger furniture items.

Secondly, they give you an accurate estimated time of arrival and their moving staff are really efficient and energetic. I have no idea how our lead mover was so cheerful despite the challenging move and despite having to move larger furniture that wouldn’t fit through the elevator up 3 flights of stairs and down an entire apartment hallway.

Nothing broke and I’d hire them again.

My fiancé and I are so so thankful to have had Roadway Moving booked, because the night before our move I fell in the subway and sprained my ankle. Suddenly moving out of a third floor walkup became impossible. The Roadway movers were kind, efficient, careful and fast as heck! The speed they moved out of a third-floor walkup was incredibly impressive. They showed up on time, and got the move out and move in complete within a couple hours. I have heavy antique furniture and they made it look like moving them was a breeze. We simply could never have done it without them and will never do another move without them again.

I also did the packing option and they packed everything with such care and precision that I felt completely at ease (even though I have a ton of vintage and delicate items). The team was on time, professional, kind, and incredibly thoughtful every step of the way. Their attention to detail, flexibility, and problem-solving made this experience so much easier than I ever imagined. If you’re considering movers, trust me—this is the team you want.

I had an incredible experience using Roadway for my move across town. This is my second move with their team and I was blown away both times by their professionalism and efficiency. They come on time, they wrap everything with precision, and they handle all of my objects with the utmost care. I was worried about getting some of the bigger items (my couch, a giant wardrobe, a 6 foot mirror) up the stairs of my walk-up, but they handled it without any stress. I’d reccomend Roadway to anyone.

We could not have been more pleased with Roadway Moving. We used them for a cross country move from LA to Florida and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. They were incredibly organized, professional, and genuinely cared about our experience and keeping the moving process as stress-free as possible. They were responsive during our estimate and initial signing of contract, and continued to be responsive throughout the entire process, from calling multiple times before our move out and delivery day to confirm logistics and ensure us that they were on top of things, to the actual movers that showed up to our house and were very respectful and efficient of our time, our belongings, and any of our concerns. We are not planning to do another cross-country move soon—but love that Roadway also does local moves and would only use them to move our family in the future. We will continue to recommend them to our friends and family as well.
