Do Not Use This Company They Are Frauds.

They will do everything they can to get you to pay their estimate which they consider is a contract without guaranteeing service. Once you try to get a hold of them you get passed around from person to person with horrible service with no resolution. They will not reimburse you the money and you will not receive the moving service. We are filing formal complaints.

Avoid Like The Coronavirus They Use to Scam You!

This company is despicable and should be put out of business as a safeguard to all consumers for the following reasons. This was my personal experience with this company starting in July of 2020:

1. They lied and said that they are not moving brokers when they are in fact brokers

2. They took thousands of dollars of my money and then used the pandemic as an excuse for their inability to perform their services. They will not offer a refund.

3. They are not communicative at all and refuse to EVER commit to a date. This is a HUGE red flag. EVERYTHING is a window. They say your move date is a “window” and then push it back indefinitely. At last count they pushed my move back 3 times, 2 of which they did not contact me. No phone call, email or text message even when they assured me over the phone that they would call.

4. They left me and my family (with 2 little kids) hanging ON A CROSS COUNTRY MOVE with no apology. There is a person who works there who pretends to be multiple people and is a total fraud. He told me his name was Bob West but his voice mail said “Mike H” and when I called he said “Bob is not here.” It was obviously the same person. They do not respect their customers.

5. Their prices are astronomically high. I was able to get white glove moving service with a personal concierge for the same price with less than a week notice after Quality Express van lines ghosted me.

If you see any positive reviews of this company on here I would take it with a HUGE grain of salt. They are totally incompetent and deceitful.

They are neither Quality nor Express and will take your money knowing or at least indifferent to the fact that they cannot fulfill their end of the deal.

Long-distance move from Normal, IL to Palm Coast, FL

Worst Experience Ever!

We were in a desperate situation and they took advantage of that.

First off, they charged an arm and a leg to just help me find a mover (the person I chatted with made me think they themselves were the mover - they are NOT, they are just the BROKER who takes money from old people). Secondly, I paid them almost $3,000 only for them to set me up with a absolutely AWFUL moving company. I was moving from Illinois, and they set me up with a moving company out of Ohio (S & M RELO LLC - DON'T USE THEM) who was extremely unprofessional. Makes no sense. Third, after the moving company lost a number of my items, and then damaged the rest, I tired to file a claim with movingclaims.net and it is IMPOSSIBLE to actually talk with a real person to help through the claim processes.

MOVERS BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO HELP YOU! They will take advantage of whatever situation you are in.

Long-distance move from San Francisco, CA to Denver, CO

Bait & switched us - do NOT use them!!

I cannot fully express how horrendous my experience with this company was. They left us with no other options but to pay an additional $600 on moving day with no way to find another service. When we arranged the move with them, we were told to be extremely conservative and over-estimate what we had in our storage unit. We suggested we had about 50% more items than we actually did, and Quality Express Van Lines continued to tell us the only issue we would face was if all of our items were overweight (again why we over-estimated) - no mention of cubic feet. Come moving day, we are now on the other side of the country from our unit, and the moving company is now trying to charge us an extra $600 for additional square footage that they claim we did not tell them about. Again, we had massively over-estimated what was there so this would have been impossible. When we called Quality Express Van Lines to understand how they could have conveyed the wrong information to the moving company, they would not claim any responsibility for the information they passed along or what made up the quote they gave us - despite the fact that it is their sole job. Further, when we continued to ask them questions to understand how this possibly could have happened, what they could do about it, and if they could give us any of the information they gave the movers, the supervisor, George, continued to try to hang up on us, refused to answer our questions, and was exceptionally rude, combative, and unhelpful. There were some nice people at this company, but overall, they were evasive, unhelpful, and failed to provide us with appropriate information or seek any remedy to the $600 error. The whole thing feels like a scam. DO NOT USE THEM.

Long-distance move from Portland, OR to Powells Point, NC

A total scam.

Please do not go with this company, they are a total scam. I wish I had seen the 1 star reviews on here before I had agreed to sign the estimate. They increased the price from the original estimate by $1,000 for adding a few small items. The movers never showed up on the scheduled date, and I've been waiting for 4 days, while they give me the same answer every day that "dispatch is working on the schedule". I haven't been able to get a clear answer out of them and when I asked for a supervisor the representative said that it was their "day off". I am going to find a way to get out of this situation.

Great!

They exceeded our expectations when it comes to moving a large family in a quick turnaround. We had about 10 days where I needed to start my new job and two other movers turned us down. I'm happy I tried Quality Express because they immediately took on the task and did a wonderful job. I am very proud of their efforts and recommend Quality Express without a doubt.

I want to know how the hell you get a 3 bedroom house to a space of 760cubic feet which barely a 1 bedroom when I told them we had 2 sets of couches a queen bed 2 single beds and dressers. They need to rethink how to calculate space. They lied about the delivery dates. They lied about everything. They tried to get more money after making the deal. Would not recommend them at all to anyone.

Quality Express are thieves!

These guys are terrible. I provided them a full detailed inventory for them to give me a quote. They cam back and said the move was 570 Cubic feet. so I signed up. when the driver arrived to pick up I could not be present. they claimed it was 1500 cu ft. I had already paid the deposit and they doubled their price. When the goods arrived in Colorado there was only 1200 cubic feet in the truck. They would not reduce the price. The whole thing was a con job. I wanted to tell them I was not going to take delivery but they told me that I would have to pay double for the delivery.

Long-distance move from Lancaster, OH to Cape Girardeau, MO

A broker that hires the lowest bidder.

Do you like getting sweet nothings whispered in your ear? Someone saying you can save thousands with the inventory you provided? Then this is the company for you! They claimed to be a 5 star moving COMPANY on the phone, which would mean they have there own trucks an such but they are merely a broker, which means by contract once the mover shows up they will ignore the fact you exist.

They will take 2040 cubic feet and say its only 1100 until they get your deposit, then suddenly its up to 1900 cubic feet with the phone inventory, which doesn't really matter because the mover they hire will just exaggerate it further, which by that time the deposit is no longer refundable and you are stuck with what you have or lose the money you paid.

Avoid them, use an actual moving company - you know the ones - there trucks are on the roads all the time. Your experience will be 100 times better.

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Nashville, TN

Putting the "Art" in "Con Artists".

First off, these people don't move anything. They over-promise things they can't (and won't) deliver, then subcontract out to Boost Express Van Lines (avoid at all costs). Subcontracting gives them an easy out when their clients/victims call them to ask why their 2-3 day move has now taken over a month.

Chris Kane and James Oswald promised us a quick move from Chicago to Nashville, for about $4k. "We'll pack up your house Friday, Saturday if we need more time, then unload in Nashville on Sunday." We have a piano, they said "We specialize in moving pianos." That was the last we heard from them.

They sold our job to Boost Express Van Lines, who showed up 2 days late, and upon their arrival, exclaimed "Piano? Nobody told us about a piano." Then promptly increased out invoice from $4k up to $9.5k. We called Chris and James at Quality Express to express our dismay, they ignored our calls, voicemails, and emails.

Boost Express changed our next day delivery to "21 business day after your first avalaible delivery date and we don't guarantee delivery exactly on the date you've indicated on your paperwork"(sic). And when they say 21 business days, that actually means 29+ calendar days where you sit in an empty house wondering when you'll be able to sit in a chair again or cook a meal.

What did Quality Express have to say about it all? I'll let you know once they unblock our numbers.

I highly recommend this company.

I have moved multiple times in the past with numerous companies. Quality Express Van Lines and Storage has by far exceeded any previous mover I have used. I was slightly hesitant to use their company after viewing mixed reviews but I called and received a price I could not pass up. I did a lot of research on their company and saw by their pictures online that they really did offer quality services. They put my mind at ease from the very first call until they unloaded the last box. They also offered storage options which most companies did not. I highly recommend this company and I am so glad I took the leap of faith and used them.

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Lexington, KY

Scammers.

These people are some of the WORST moving scammers I have ever come across. When they called us, they claimed to be the moving company. After about an hour of telling them all of our items, they quoted us at $2400. We put down a payment of $1200 that day to reserve the move.

Three days later we get a call from a man claiming to be quality assurance, and he wanted to double check our items just incase they missed something. Well after we went over the items, he then said it would be $3700!! And he wanted an extra $400 that day to reserve it. Well we canceled on him but he told me the first $1200 was non-refundable. I am now in a battle with them and the credit card company to get my money back.

Also I have many screenshots of people being offered money to give 5 star reviews. Do NOT BELIEVE ANY GOOD REVIEWS YOU SEE.

Long-distance move from Sugar Land, TX to Farmington, MI

Scammers.

These people are the worst. I called to get a quote and asked if they were a broker. Bob West blatantly lied and said they were not. He assured me they had their own trucks. He gave me a quote and I gave a deposit., sure enough, just like one of the other reviews stated, a few days before my move the quality assurance person called and collected even more money, because we must have missed something.

Fast forward to the day of the move, the movers came, and told me I had more than I was quoted, so he charged an additional 2500. Now mind you this $4700 move became an $8200 move. The mover showed up by himself, turns out the young man who met him at my house to help, told me he didn't work for the moving company he picked this job up on Craig's list. The moving company is TX MOVING AND STORAGE, that's another negative review. Getting back to the crooks at Quality, When I called to discuss this with Bob West, he was never available to take my call. I spoke to Andrew (he was very rude). I talked to Kyle, he could help me. I asked him why was I quoted one price and the mover charged me another? I moved from Texas to Michigan. This was the worst experience ever. I will also report them to the BBB, they should not be allowed to take advantage of people the way they do. Also, don't believe them when they tell you they will act on your behalf and act as a liason, they will not. Don't believe them when they tell you they have established relationships with these movers they do not. Liars, and crooks.

I highly recommend Quality Express Van Lines.

I highly recommend Quality Express Van Lines for many reasons! Their workers are friendly and really know what they are talking about. They all seemed to have years of experience and were always willing to answer any questions or concerns I had. They even staged my home at the delivery end with the items. The only thing I had to do was point at where I wanted the items. I would suggest this company for any size move.

Long-distance move from Farmington, NM to Essex Junction, VT

Scam - never showed up, refused refund.

On 6-2-20 I scheduled a move with Quality Express Van Lines job number QE4291331 for pickup date of 7-25-20 to 7-26-2020, customer rep Josephb. I was asked to pay 50% down ($1582.79). On 7-21 I received a call verifying all contents of move and was asked to pay additional $559.26 for items added. I called on 7-23 to confirm pickup date and time. I was informed they would be reaching out to me on Friday. I called again on Friday, 7-24, and was told they would call me when the driver was 30min out. I called again on both the 25 and 26th, and spoke to several different customer service reps and told multiple different stories. One told me that I was moving during peak moving season so delays were expected. One told me that due to the global pandemic, unforeseen delays occurred. One told me that due to where I lived in NM, that movers were refusing to go into houses due to COVID. I continued to call them 1-2x a day every day, until a dispatcher called me and told me they set a new date for Monday Aug 3rd. He informed me that the guy that was supposed to pickup my belongings came down with COVID and that they were flying in a crew specifically for NM and that I would be the first on on the truck on August 3rd. I informed them my house was closing Aug 2nd, but could ask for a one day extension, however it would HAVE to be picked up on Monday the 3rd. I was assured this would happen. Monday came and went with no call from the company and no show. I called the company again several times that day and the following 3 days. One day I was allowed to speak with a dispatcher, however he told me to not call back again and wait for them to reach out to me. Each day I called I asked to speak to a dispatcher and they told me I wasn't allowed to and that I needed to speak to the customer service reps. The customer service reps I spoke to gave me the run around every day. Every day they promised me that dispatch was creating the route that day and they would be reaching out to me by the end of the day with a new date and time, and every day no one called and no one showed up. On Thursday Aug 6th I called 3 times and spoke to 3 different people. The last time I spoke with George, who claimed to be one of the supervisors. He told me that dispatch was working on a route and they would reach out to me when they finalized the route. I told him my house was closing next week, and considering it's Thursday and they still have not provided the service I paid for to be provided almost 2 weeks ago, that I would like a refund. He informed me that per their policy, they do not issue refunds under any circumstances. He then asked "if we got you on a truck tomorrow, would you use the services or are you cancelling the move and forfeiting your deposit?" I told him that every person I've spoken to has promised me that exact same thing every single day for 12 days and they have not delivered. I simply want a refund. He continued to tell me they were coming tomorrow, although he had told me right after getting off with dispatch that they didn't have a date or time set. He told me he was sending me a cancellation email and hung up the phone without resolution. I believe this company is a fraudulent company taking money from customers and not delivering on the service that was paid for.

Quality Express is a scam!

Beware of this company! They are thieves and will steal your deposit. They have no trucks and no drivers. They are a shady broker. I gave them a deposit not knowing they were a broker. When the 3rd party mover showed up they would not honor quality Expresses price and wanted. Double the money. When I sent them away quality express kept my $1300 deposit. Real movers take credit cards and offer refunds if things don't work out.

Local move from Houston, TX to Dallas, TX

Scammers.

BE WARNED NOT TO TRUST THESE THIEVES! If it were possible to select NO STARS rather than one star, I would. Criminals. Everyone working for this so-called moving company should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. No one ever mentioned that this was a "broker" rather than an actual moving company. Very slick and slimy outfit. Manipulative. Horrible monsters. Do not trust a single word coming out of the mouth of Bob West -- a sociopathic liar. These criminals disgust me! They scammed me out of a whopping $2626 deposit. At the time of setting up my move, the plan was to move from Houston to Phoenix, but life happens and throws us curve balls sometimes. It turned out that I only had to move "up the road" to Dallas. They could not and would not move me in-state. No one had warned me that they couldn't help me if it turned out my move would be in-state. They were unwilling to make an exception in my case to give back my very sizable deposit. Do not be fooled by the fake 5-star reviews you see on their webpage. They are skilled at manipulating the unaware, trusting consumer who is merely trying to arrange for an upcoming move. They know that they can get away with their cruel dishonesty causing unimaginable levels of financial distress and torment. After "eating" that enormously painful deposit on a move that this so-called moving company could not do, I had no choice but to go into debt by using credit to hire an honest, reliable, local mover to move me to Dallas. Rot in hell, you thieves! Anyone wishing to join me in taking legal action against these creeps, please contact me: Lynn--classicaljazzlk@gmail.com.

Long-distance move from San Diego, CA to Beaufort, SC

Worst experience of my life.

My move with Quality Express Van Lines has been the WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I have gone two months without the delivery of my household goods and still have no delivery date scheduled. Quality Express Van Lines has lied throughout the entire process and is allowing my goods to be held hostage by the moving company they contracted. Here is a non-exhaustive list of the reasons you should ABSOLUTELY NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY for your move, under any circumstance:

1. They lie about the contract terms to get you to work with them. Prior to pickup of my goods, I was told my things would be delivered within 3 days of my first available date of delivery. However, the day my items were picked up and payment was received, their story completely changed and I was told that my things would be delivered in 30 business days (?!). Please note we are now far beyond 30 business days and I still do not have my items nor do I have any information on where they are or when they’ll be arriving.

2. Quality Express Van Lines will not answer your phone calls. They will put you on hold for as long as you’ll wait because Quality Express Van Lines is a group of scammers that cannot answer even the most basic questions about your move (i.e., the date your items will be delivered). This is an incredibly shady business practice and makes me wonder if my things were stolen by their moving company and they are covering up the crime.

3. They breech their contracts and allow their contracted movers to do so as well. As a broker, Quality Express Van Lines’ job is to ensure their contracted movers meet the terms of their contracts with their customers. Quality Express Van Lines has done nothing to work with the movers to get them to deliver my things. I am weeks past the delivery date guaranteed in my contract with both the movers they hired and with Quality Express Van Lines and again, my things have not been delivered and I have no information about if they will ever arrive.

4. Customer service does not exist. I have been without any of my things for two months. I’ve had to purchase new household and personal items just to survive. This company knows exactly what they’re doing to people when they allow their contracted movers to hold their customers’ goods hostage for months on end. Based on the extremely hostile conversations I’ve had with Quality Express Van Lines staff (in the off chance I am able to reach them), I can assure you they do not care about their clients whatsoever.

I repeat, do not, under any circumstance, work with Quality Express Van Lines. They are a crooked, shady, and truly awful company that should no longer be in operation.

Horrible experience.

First they said they were not a broker. It turns out they are at a high fee that to my astonishment is non refundable. So they are keeping over $1600 of my deposit after I cancelled. 2 different movers arrived on the day of the move and for the same original list they charged me 2k more. I couldn’t afford it at this difficult time and told them no. I called the company and did not receive any support. I wasn’t even allowed to speak to the man that I originally spoke to. I must now seek legal action to recoup at least some if not all of my deposit. U would think during a pandemic this business would have a heart but they have not proved that they do.

Quality Express Lies.

BE AWARE: Quality Express Van Lines is NOT A MOVING COMPANY. They are moving BROKERS and as such they will give you a really good price over the phone to allure you with lies, and then they will ask for a NON REFUNDABLE deposit that you will lose once you sign a contract. I made the mistake to listen to one of their salesmen and it cost me 2000 dlls more than the original contract I signed to move my stuff from LA to Utah. Stay away from them and find a local mover in your state that will actually go to your house to measure your stuff and give you a real estimate. Even better, get a group of friends or form a crew from Home Depot and load a truck yourself. Save you thousands of dollars and useless discussions with their staff. Customer Service reps are rude and indifferent to your complaints. Please make note of my terrible experience with Quality Express Van Lines.
