These guys only want your deposit. They will take a little amount at beginning after small quote. Once they sub their work out to a different company “JD moving service” in my case. They show up late and then hire people off craigslist to load up your stuff. They then demand more money after it’s loaded which you are forced into because most likely you are on a schedule. Once they leave with your items they go radio silent for a while and then just give you 2 hrs notice and demand more money to reschedule when you are not ready and they know that. Never again never again.

Liars and cheats, always willing to answer the phone for money, good luck them doing anything when it comes to the service they took that money for. Definition Bad faith. STAY AWAY Belongings pickup Sept 2nd 2021 nothing delivered Oct.8 2021.

Long version:

This company deserves negative stars, after paying a deposit on July 20th 2021 for $1894 for a pickup on Sept 1st or 2nd (they make the cable company look good). They called on Aug. 31 to verify for space requirement and then decided the whole 13 feet of the back of a truck was not enough space (I had originally requested the amount of space that would hold a 10 by 20 square foot storage space). They upped the price of our move from $6500 to over $12,000, then required we send them a check for an extra $2,412.61. The movers did not show up until almost the end of day Sept. 2nd 2021 in a rental truck and requiring 65% money upfront for the move instead of the 50% Progressive said we would have to pay, Then the driver decided to raise the price of the service just because, from $8,321.6 to $8,661.1 making 50% $4,330.55 for the loading fee (requested receipt, was told he would email it to our email, he took some pictures with his camera and we never received a receipt). It is now Oct 2nd and the only thing we have heard from them is from the company Progressive hired to move us (Febex also a negative star company). They called us three weeks later on Sept 21st to demand a check for $3,000 for loading the truck in Reno NV(requested she send a email receipt, she said she would email one, never received a receipt), we forced Shai Sanchez from Febex to concede that the amount we would pay the driver on arrival in South Dakota is only $1330.55. Not that the driver will probably never show up here seeing that Progressive hired a trucking company not licensed in the state of South Dakota. We are now in the process of looking for a lawyer who has the ability to sue for our money back (over $11367.16 now) and having to fill out theft reports to the Washoe County Sheriffs office and DOT complaints (this is the site to go to for any one else having problems https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move/file-a-complaint).

We needed them for a move from Mountain Home, AR to San Diego Ca. They insisted we pay the large deposit ASAP because they had movers standing by to arrive in the morning. We paid by Venmo because they don't take credit cards. Well, no one showed even after we waited 3 days. They told me to cancel by email in order to get a refund because they couldn't find anyone in the area to move us! I followed their instructions and they declined my refund saying I canceled too soon. The Venmo went to a private account and they refuse to refund our money. What was really strange is within minutes of cancellation I received a phone call from Standard Moving Company company saying they had a full crew ready to go and understand that "other moving companies don't always show up". I found this strange since I never tried calling them afterwards and they are from the same area as Progressive. Sounds like they were hoping I would pay them too and scam me out of more money. Seems odd the reviews are either 1 or 5 ratings. Venmo can't help because money wasn't sent to a business and we are out $1200. We are in the process of filing a complaint with the Florida State Attorney General's office.

BUYER BEWARE!! We called these guys to move a small 2 bedroom apartment for nearly $4k. After showing up within 2 minutes the driver told me that not even the boxes would fit within the space allotted. Immediately wanted to charge me nearly triple upwards towards $12k for the same move!! Nothing changed, same items we declared were there. I think the driver was mislead by his superior which they both were subcontractors of Progressive! That's right, called Progressive Van Lines and they sent a sub contractor that sent another sub contractor who didn't know what they were getting into. Since I refused to pay the obscene amount I told them it was bait and switch they then called me a Racist!!! I've never been called that in my life. Unbelievable, now Progressive may deny refunding my deposit of nearly $1,300 hard earned dollars. What a scam, what a dishonor, stay away from these guys!!

Most of my items that were actually delivered were broken, my furniture drawers were missing, my TV never arrived. My bookcase came broken and with no shelves, some of my clothing bins were filled with water so my clothes had mold and mildew! To top it all off, the movers came at 12am and didn't leave until almost 3am. I now have to take this scam company to court to seek compensation for all of my stolen and damaged goods. Please save yourself the headache and listen to the overwhelming amount of negative reviews!

RUN, don't walk away from this company!!!! My wife and I were scammed for just over $2,000.00. Quite frankly, we were pressured to sign a deal and transfer deposit money for an Arizona to Ohio move. They have the deposit, our possessions are still in Arizona. These people and therefore the company that employees them are NOT to be trusted.

Please take the advice from a retired Air Force Colonel, Desert storm veteran and wounded warrior.
