DO NOT USE PODS | WILL DAMAGE YOUR ITEMS AND TAKE FOREVER

Our pod was clearly dropped or damaged and many items inside were damaged due to this. I am not surprised that their "insurance" refused to pay out for the damaged items. DO NOT USE PODS you will regret the decision. It is the worst moving and shipping company I have ever used and they do not care about their customers at all.

Do not use pods if you need specific dates and times agreed on to be followed. When we booked this service we were told it would be 3-5 days for the pod to be moved the 1000 miles to the new location. The pod was picked up on the 29th and was not able to be accessed until the 14th (at their distribution center, the could not even get it to my location in time). It took them over 14 days vs the 3-5 days we were promised and they damaged our items. Never use pods if you care about your items or the time frame that stuff needs to be done.

Won’t honor insurance claim

I am very disappointed in how PODs is handling my missing items and damaged dresser. I submitted a police report stating missing bins of clothes and broken dresser like they requested. Only to have them say they will not refund me anything! When I rented the container I was told it came with 10,000 in insurance for any issues yet they won’t refund list and broken items??????

I am so upset and lost all my business and winter clothes and had to buy nee dresser for my son. I did everything they asked me to get NOTHING!!!!

Beware when using them. They do not deliver what they promise!

Poor customer services , lies and no one can help you

Had pod set up to move 12/14/21 after being told that could not deliver pod to my new address. Call to check On delivery was told since it was a pick up of a empty container they would not pick up and I was closing. They refused to help me even though it had a pick up for 12/14/21 and I was closing 12.15.21. The. Was told after I spent a ton of money on a different mover that they could deliver to that address it was just a modified drop off date. At that point it was to late and even though it was their error and no one ever told me they would not pick up a empty pod I now have to pay the buyer because pod has refused to live pod even out if drive way. Never use them each customer service person told me something different and said they could not escalated to supervision or I was told they do not have supervisor

Thieves

Thieves, absolutely the worse experience I ever had. I would never ever use them again. They charged me over $3000 because of a mistake by a new associate and they would never hold themselves to an ethical or moral standards to correct it and do what is right. The quote I got in an email vs what they charged is basically $3000 more. I basically pegged them to go back and listen to the conversations that took place on November 22nd and November 23rd and to check email sent to me with quote that is valid until November 29 and they would never do it so I can get my credit money back. In comparison to UHAUL it is night and day... they are so much better than this ruthless company

Billing and customer service is horrible!

Erroneously charged $1825.80. Called customer service twice now and was told (the first call) within 24 to 48 hours the charge would be removed. Guess what? It cleared my account. The second call was a no win situation. I asked speak to a supervisor or manager...none available and no phone number to contact one. The customer service rep refused to remove me from autopay and could not and would not reimburse my lost $$$. Awful service! Run far far away from this incompetent company!!

Does not recommend

This is the WORST experience I've ever had with a moving company.

My container has not arrived yet after TWO WEEKS of delay. They were supposed to ship my container from Montreal To Vancouver, received around 5K CAD upfront, and the final pickup date has been delayed for more than 4 times. Last time I logged into my account the pickup date was updated to TBD. Their excuses include: 1- Due to bad weather 2- Your truck has been broken? 3- The original carrier backed out 4- Snow again!

UNBELIVEBLE! My whole life is in that container and I had to buy many of them again to continue my normal life while waiting for my container to arrive, which costs me a lot.

The customer services are also very bad, they don't have much information to share with you and always need to double check with the logistics to give you an update on where your container might be (which they never told me)

False charges for an empty unit

I rented a storage unit in Dec 2020, they picked up my unit in February 2021 and took it to storage, when I found a house they told me they didn' t deliver there- just less than 50 miles from where they picked it up! THen i had my movers pick up my contents of the pod at the storage facility- and emptied it. they since have said that i owed them for 4 months of storage - and billed me over $600, and sent a collection agency out to collect. The unit was empty since February and they even sent me a letter asking if it was okay to sell the contents of the unit - I said sure!! having my moving company come up to there storage place and unload the Pod then re-load it on their truck then drive it down to my new house in Shelton WA, and unload it again cost me over $2,000.-- I have tried to reason with this company and claim that it wasn't my fault that they locked it back up !

HORRIFIC….Still no pod

Worst experience from beginning to…oh wait it’s not the end.

I packed my pod in August 2020 to store in Massachusetts because I didn’t know where I was landing or when. Paid my monthly fee and thought all was well when I called up in February 2022 to relocate my pod to Georgia.

I was giving them ample warning. I’d say 6+ weeks to deliver my pod to Georgia April 1, 2022.

My pod account said it would ship March 23 with a delivery of April 1.

On March 31, I started to get worried when I saw no updates to my online account. Nor did I see my April 1 delivery. (Actually to date my online account still asks me to schedule my delivery).

I was told it was scheduled for April 1, and to check back after 6pm for my delivery window. Seems easy. Called back after 6pm and told my window was 1-4pm.

I spent the morning running errands and getting ready for the delivery. Did I mention that I had scheduled movers to unpack the morning at 8am. They even confirmed via text with a proper introduction. Wow.

At 12:18pm on April 1, less than an hour from my delivery window starting, I received a muffled voicemail that there was a delay and pod would not be delivered.

Confused and upset I called right away. The customer service agent was beyond obnoxious. She told me there was a note in my account stating the truck had broken down in PA (she didn’t know where PA was) and my pod would be delivered Tuesday, April 5. In four days. What?????!!!!!

I said why did anyone ever confirm a delivery window if my pod truck had been delayed in PA. That is VERY far from Georgia. I was upset, it went silent and she promptly put me back in the general queue. Yup.

The next agent was nicer, and I sadly believed her, that my pod would be delivered Tuesday April 5. I told her I could not wait that long. I had nothing. She ‘checked’ to see what could be done and came back saying they can deliver Monday , April 4. Bad but fine.

She even told me I could stay at a hotel and fry reimbursed. I doubted that so went to a friends for two nights.

I did receive an email after that call saying changes were made to my online account.

On Sunday, April 3, I start check the website. Still nothing past the initial plan to move the pod back in March 23.

I call at 6pm per their instructions. ‘No delivery is attached to the account record’. WHAT???!!?!!?

I click all the buttons to reach a human. She’s nice but I’m feeling less than confident in her kind replies. She says the system shows my delivery scheduled for April 4. I say it says nothing online. She says the system says April 4.

She will try to see if the delivery windows are set. I expect her to put me on hold but rather she hums and shuffles some papers around. I mean at least fake ‘looking for the delivery plans’. She tells me over and over the computer says it’s scheduled.

She tells me the warehouse is closed sundays (um so how could the warehouse work on schedules). She tells me to keep checking my account. She tells me I’ll get an email

Overnight. She tells me to call at 7am if I hear nothing. Again, WHAT???!!!

I have this awful feeling they don’t know where my pod is. That I may never see my pod again. That I’ve spent a monthly storage fee for two years and will ultimately never see my pod again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Terrible service from start to finish. How on earth do you not know where a pod is that you are responsible for. They BROKE the contract. Horrific experience all around.

Lost POD

Horror and disbelief. PODs has admitted that they cannot find my POD. All of my belongings are or were in there. They don't care and have no intention of rectifying their mistake. They are impossible to work with and the majority of customer service agents lie, stall, avoid or simple hang up. Avoid PODs at all costs. It's not worth it. I intend on retaing legal counsel immediately.

Logistics

I have a call into a pods supervisor and have not heard back. I had 2 pods in macon ga. I asked for delivery to my home 60 mi away in greensboro ga. They said it was a long distant move so they had to take it to another storage in augusta 120 mi from macon and then delivering to my greensboro ga address 75 mi from augusta costing me an extra $1500. So they travel an extra 200 mi and charge me more money. What sense does that make? Please respond. I am very upset. Thank you
