THEY DON'T TREAT YOU LIKE A HUMAN BEING

DO NOT USE PINTOS moving and storage. Don't fall into the same pattern of overlooking the bad reviews here because the bad reviews are really bad and it might happen to you. I was moving from Missouri to Virginia. When I called to book everything was fine. Their estimates were not necessarily the cheapest I got but I went with them because custom service, someone named Gina was nice about everything. I was told that a few days before the move I would receive a call from them because most people have a better estimate of their things around that time and to also confirm pickup dates -29th or 30th August. No one called closer to the dates. I called to give an update of my things because I had more than I estimated. I quickly had to pay $500 extra on top of my initial deposit. I was told I would receive a call the next day on the 27th to confirm pickup. Again no call came. I called and I was told "dispatch" would get back to me. They did not. I called on the 28th and I was told that the truck would come on the 30th and that the driver will call me on when he was close. On the morning of the 30th, no one called and so I called at 9:30am to find out where the driver of the truck was and I was told the truck overloaded another client's things the night before and so there was no way they would come and pick up my things and that the earliest they would arrive was on the 2nd or 3rd of August. I was angry because no one had informed me till I called. I was in limbo and there was no way I could store my things on short notice or people to call to help me because when friends had asked earlier that week I told them the movers will be here so there wasn't a need to worry. My landlord needed me out to prepare for the next tenant who was moving in soon. When I told Pintos Moving and Storage that this was unprofessional, they told me that it was professional because they had done nothing wrong and that their contract says pick up days are estimates. I asked that they refund my money so I find another option to move my things because I had my new baby and 5yo to worry about. They kept quoting the contract to me and said that if I cancelled in a pickup window, I would forfeit my deposit of $1449. They asked me to put my things in storage somewhere till they could arrive on the 2nd or 3rd. They were not offering to pay for that storage either. My church helped me move out my things from the rental and stored them. Needless to say the same cycle happened with Pintos. No one calls to inform you and so I called on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th speaking to different people who already knew who I was. Obviously I was getting angrier because Pintos Moving and Storage staff kept telling me that "our pickup dates are estimates". They don't call. They don't say how long it is estimated for. After the 3rd, they couldn't give me any more estimated pick up dates and no customer service person confess that they were having difficulty finding a truck that could pick up my things from MO to VA. By this point, without any updates to pick up dates, I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. The customer service person said accounts will review the case and if there's refund, they will contact me. The next day they did not contact me so I called to speak with accounts and I was told by another customer service person that accounts do not speak directly to customers. I let them know that I spoke with them directly when they had troubling taking my deposit. And then they quoted their contract at me that pickup dates are estimates so I am forfeiting my deposit, even though they couldn't find a truck to pick up my things. On the 10th when I called them, my order had not been cancelled like I asked and they still had not even found a truck. I am still waiting for my deposit. I ended up renting a U-Haul and driving my things up to MO myself because it is peak moving season and other companies are booked. JUST AVOID WORKING with them. You will be at peace for it. I am positing my review everywhere I can.

Amazing Mover

So refreshing to find a service like this. Pleasant from beginning to the end. The booking was so easy, thanks to the office staff and the delivery guys, punctual, extremely polite, and hardworking. They came fully equipped for a safe and successful piano move. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and have already recommended them to a friend who has a similar item to be picked up.

DO NOT HIRE THIS INCOMPETENT, DISHONEST SCAM COMPANY.

Pinto's Moving & Storage (a/k/a Ocean Ridge Van Lines) made my elderly father's move from Maine to Florida a living hell. In late August, my father hired Ocean Ridge Van Lines. They're a moving broker that subcontracts with cheap carriers of household goods and vehicles. They have zero customer service and accountability. They never answer their phones and if they do, put you on endless holds with awful muzak. If you do manage to get them on the line, they give vague and inaccurate information. Their moving estimate was intentionally low and inaccurate to get my father's business. Instead of doing an in-home assessment, they made my father make a best guess on the number of boxes and furniture, and their weight and volume. When the subcontracted household goods carrier (Moving Solutions Van Lines) arrived, they increased the price by $3,300 and forced my father to pay $600 for overtime. Meanwhile, subcontractor Oliveira Express Car Delivery picked up my father's car. Ocean Ridge Van Lines quoted an estimated delivery date for both the car and household goods for 5 days later. My father's car was delivered 2 days late and the driver/owner charged him $50 more and demanded the $1,450 total in cash. Why cash? Because he was being sued by a lot of angry customers and needed the money. My father doesn't carry such cash around with him, so the driver settled for a check. When the truck with my father's household goods never arrived as expected, Ocean Ridge Van Lines neglected to call my father about the delay, nor did they give him a revised delivery date. Max Braxten of Ocean Ridge Van Lines was the customer service rep that sounded kind when he was trying to win my father's business, then avoided our calls when we were desperately trying to locate my father's belongings. After nearly a month of unanswered calls, endless phone holds, lies and inaccurate conflicting information from all the Ocean Ridge Van Lines staff (Max Braxten, Kevin, Mia, Joseph), their carrier Moving Solutions Van Lines finally arrived with my father's belongings. Again, the driver demanded cash or a post office money order, or else, they wouldn't unload the truck. Why? Because they had so many complaining customers who refused to pay them. The original moving estimate to transport my father's household goods and car from Maine to Florida was for $6,953. The final cost ended up being $11,107.07. When I wrote a detailed letter of complaint to the company and mailed it to the address on their moving estimate, it was returned to me unopened. I also emailed the letter. When I asked Mia if they had received my email, she said that Gina Gonzalez, Ocean Ridge Van Lines' customer service supervisor, was looking into it. No such person ever contacted us. The address on their website is completely different and belongs to another company (property lessors) unrelated to movers. The few positive reviews on their website and elsewhere online are most likely fake, posted on or around the same time. A credit report search for Ocean Ridge Van Lines shows that the company was set up on 4/9/2021 by registered agent Jack Palmer Graham. No doubt it was done as a new front business for Pinto's Moving & Storage, which clearly has a long history of negative reviews. Moving Solutions Van Lines, their household goods carrier, also has countless negative reviews, and I learned later that they'd been storing my father's things in New Jersey for weeks. When they finally decided to deliver, it took their driver less than 3 days. Meanwhile, my 80-year-old father had been waiting anxiously in his empty house, wondering if he'd ever see his belongings.

BEWARE: OCEAN RIDGE VAN LINES (A/K/A PINTO'S MOVING & STORAGE) ARE CROOKS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Beware!!

Contracted with Pinto to move from Idaho to Florida. Day before move they called to up the price 1K and delay move 2 weeks. I agreed and they no showed the pickup. They did not respond to calls or emails. They tried to keep the $900 deposit, thankfully I insisted on using a credit card. Do not send them cash, wire, money order, or other payment method that does not protect you!

Long-distance move from Egg Harbor Township, NJ to Raleigh, NC

Everything small but worth money was lost (selectively)

If you read enough review, you know this by now. But I ma going to say it again : This is not an actual truck company. This is one person in a room, with only one line of phone, in a small city in Florida finding trucks online and giving your stuff to them without even knowing them.

Sometimes there is one more person that introduce himself anew name everytime you call and assumes that gives you the impression of an actual office with couple people in it.

They lost $2500 of my stuff (if not stolen, since only the good stuff were gone) and I could not do anything about it.

Moving my house hold goods

I was pretty nervous knowing this was my first move across state. After doing my homework and doing apples to apples comparisons I decided to go with PMS. To be very honest with everyone I’m satisfied and so is my family I couldn’t have asked for a better group of guys to help me out with this move!

Scam

This is a scam moving brokerage (unfortunately very common in Florida these days). They picked up our things two weeks ago in Ohio. Since then, they have constantly changed the cost and cannot give us any idea of where our things are or when they might arrive to our new home in Florida. Their customer service is rude and unhelpful. Don't make the same mistake we did and get fooled by fake reviews on here and on Google. Be sure to thoroughly vet your movers.

Scam, screwed us last-minute

This place is a SCAM. The company originally quoted $2.5k for moving from the west coast to Chicago, and told us that it would take 10-14 business days. Movers came, told us it was $5k and would take a month. We were told we'd get 24 hours notice before the movers arrived, we got 6 hours notice. We're lucky that we were planning to give ourselves some extra days to travel, so we could back out and make a better plan last-minute. Clearly this place bait-and-switches their customers and feeds on desperate people on a time crunch. Looking back, we realized their "good" reviews are fake and paid-for, and research tells us that this company was previously sued under a different name and has rebranded as Pinto. Any place that asks for a wire transfer for money is a red flag. If I could get this zero stars I would. It is a SCAM.

DON’T DO IT!!!

I used this company for my long distance move. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!! Chris, the agent who signed me up was supper friendly and helpful until I signed my contract. Nothing he said was true. I paid double the estimated cost. He lied and told me I would be the first stop for drop off. They subcontracted my move to Express Moving Services. They lied about my delivery date. When I contacted Anthony, the manager at Express for ETA, I told him I had been sleeping on the floor while waiting for them. He told me that sleeping on the floor was a part of moving and I didn’t have to sleep on the floor because I could rent an air bnb or hotel. When I called Pinto to speak to a manager Dineiro Rodriguez hung up on me. This was the most unprofessional business transaction I’ve ever had in my life. They make you feel great in the beginning, then they jack up the prices once they get to your home and hold your possessions hostage until they receive final payment. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. SAVE YOURSELF!!!! DON’T USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!! .
