Amazing Mover

So refreshing to find a service like this. Pleasant from beginning to the end. The booking was so easy, thanks to the office staff and the delivery guys, punctual, extremely polite, and hardworking. They came fully equipped for a safe and successful piano move. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and have already recommended them to a friend who has a similar item to be picked up.

Scam

This is a scam moving brokerage (unfortunately very common in Florida these days). They picked up our things two weeks ago in Ohio. Since then, they have constantly changed the cost and cannot give us any idea of where our things are or when they might arrive to our new home in Florida. Their customer service is rude and unhelpful. Don't make the same mistake we did and get fooled by fake reviews on here and on Google. Be sure to thoroughly vet your movers.

Moving my house hold goods

I was pretty nervous knowing this was my first move across state. After doing my homework and doing apples to apples comparisons I decided to go with PMS. To be very honest with everyone I’m satisfied and so is my family I couldn’t have asked for a better group of guys to help me out with this move!

Scam, screwed us last-minute

This place is a SCAM. The company originally quoted $2.5k for moving from the west coast to Chicago, and told us that it would take 10-14 business days. Movers came, told us it was $5k and would take a month. We were told we'd get 24 hours notice before the movers arrived, we got 6 hours notice. We're lucky that we were planning to give ourselves some extra days to travel, so we could back out and make a better plan last-minute. Clearly this place bait-and-switches their customers and feeds on desperate people on a time crunch. Looking back, we realized their "good" reviews are fake and paid-for, and research tells us that this company was previously sued under a different name and has rebranded as Pinto. Any place that asks for a wire transfer for money is a red flag. If I could get this zero stars I would. It is a SCAM.

DON’T DO IT!!!

I used this company for my long distance move. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!! Chris, the agent who signed me up was supper friendly and helpful until I signed my contract. Nothing he said was true. I paid double the estimated cost. He lied and told me I would be the first stop for drop off. They subcontracted my move to Express Moving Services. They lied about my delivery date. When I contacted Anthony, the manager at Express for ETA, I told him I had been sleeping on the floor while waiting for them. He told me that sleeping on the floor was a part of moving and I didn’t have to sleep on the floor because I could rent an air bnb or hotel. When I called Pinto to speak to a manager Dineiro Rodriguez hung up on me. This was the most unprofessional business transaction I’ve ever had in my life. They make you feel great in the beginning, then they jack up the prices once they get to your home and hold your possessions hostage until they receive final payment. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. SAVE YOURSELF!!!! DON’T USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!! .

Scam

The quote they gave you is basically a scam. The cube feet on the quote only the half of cube feet when they pick up. There are also lots of additional fees they did not tell you before you sign the contract. End up paid almost double of quote price. And the moving team show up 1 hour late and the delivery time pintos promise to me is also a lie. When you try to find a solution with customer service, the only thing they do is give the local moving team contact information and let you complain with them.

Long-distance move from Mount Kisco, NY to Gainesville, VA

SCAM & NOT TRANSPARENT

I was scheduled to move for a 1 bedroom apt on May 29, 2021. No one explained the hidden details on the contract. I called everyday & last Thursday was told it would take multiple days fir the move. It is my first time moving from NY to VA & Alan knew that. They were very quick to secure contract money. I had to cancel the services and ended up paying another mover in one day to make my move possible this past weekend.

I want to talk to management but no response. I want a refund of the contract $$, as this is plain robbery. I will continue to write a negative review until this is resolved. Doing business with folks in Florida is dangerous and this company is bringing a horrible reputation to other businesses.

Do not hire them. I need a refund.

Long-distance move from Chula Vista, CA to Pembroke, ME

Horrible Scam

Beware and stay clear of this company as they are a scam. Set up a move with them back in May. Let them know several times we needed to be out of our house June 25th 2021 as This was our scheduled closing date and new owners were taking possession of the property that day. That is how closing on the sale of a house works. We even paid an additional fee to secure June 25th. Needless to say there were no movers on the June 25th. We were on the phone arguing with them for most of the day. All they kept telling us was they were still looking for a driver. After several calls the representatives asked my husband to stop calling as his inquiries were not helping the situation. At one point we were told we should understand that it is travel season and they are short on drivers. We asked to speak to a manager and was told there is not one onsite but we can send the manager an email. Guess what no name of a manager not an email was ever provided. We asked for their corporate contact and address and we’re told there is no corporate office. We lost out on a $1900 deposit as no services were ever rendered. Even though prior to moving day they reassured us everything was set to go, on moving day they kept telling us the date was just an estimate. Three days later now it is June 28th 2021, still no movers, and scam artists at Pinto Moving have not even attempted to reach out to us with any updates. It is obvious they were never planning to send anyone! They lure you in, tell you what you want to hear, and don’t deliver. They took advantage of us during one of the biggest decisions in our life to sell our home and move across country. They should be ashamed of themselves. I understand the representatives answering the phones and setting this up are small guppies in a big swamp but they know exactly what is going on and are complicit with taking advantage of people. Anyone looking to hire movers don’t even think about this company no matter how good they make it sound. Please do not make the same mistake that we did. Steer clear of them at all costs!

Long-distance move from Hartford, CT to West Palm Beach, FL

Horrible Customer Service and Misleading Estimate

Long story short, once you send them the deposit they do little to help. After looking at different types of estimates, I was under the impression that the "Binding Estimate" given by Pinto's was the price you would pay- aside from adding last minute items. This is false. The shipping company- which is contracted out- doesn't know about the binding estimate and will charge you move after the move. Every time I called I got vague answers describing how it's an "estimate' and subject to change- like a non-binding estimate- and when I asked to speak to a manager no one called. I was hung up on by a customer service rep, I couldn't get an explanation for why my cost had gone up other than that I had to call the moving company, who again isn't Pinto's.

Truck showed up at 9:30pm the day after it was supposed to arrive, I was told my items were "bulk items" so it cost more, this was at 10:45 at night. Then when I tried calling Pinto's the 2 week saga began. Don't bother dealing with them.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY

This company is a total bait and switch scam. They quote you a low price but when they review what you have it is doubled or in our case tripled in price. Their agent Chris will not return your calls and they will keep your deposit even though they are in the wrong. Our move is only a distance of 250 miles for a 2 bedroom household and was $8000 for a platinum plan that includes all packing and unpacking at each end with a $4000 deposit up front. When we did the video review with them to finalize the price went to $26,000. Buyer beware!!!!! We canceled and are still trying to get our deposit back. Had to scramble as well to find another mover on a days notice.

THEY DON'T TREAT YOU LIKE A HUMAN BEING

DO NOT USE PINTOS moving and storage. Don't fall into the same pattern of overlooking the bad reviews here because the bad reviews are really bad and it might happen to you. I was moving from Missouri to Virginia. When I called to book everything was fine. Their estimates were not necessarily the cheapest I got but I went with them because custom service, someone named Gina was nice about everything. I was told that a few days before the move I would receive a call from them because most people have a better estimate of their things around that time and to also confirm pickup dates -29th or 30th August. No one called closer to the dates. I called to give an update of my things because I had more than I estimated. I quickly had to pay $500 extra on top of my initial deposit. I was told I would receive a call the next day on the 27th to confirm pickup. Again no call came. I called and I was told "dispatch" would get back to me. They did not. I called on the 28th and I was told that the truck would come on the 30th and that the driver will call me on when he was close. On the morning of the 30th, no one called and so I called at 9:30am to find out where the driver of the truck was and I was told the truck overloaded another client's things the night before and so there was no way they would come and pick up my things and that the earliest they would arrive was on the 2nd or 3rd of August. I was angry because no one had informed me till I called. I was in limbo and there was no way I could store my things on short notice or people to call to help me because when friends had asked earlier that week I told them the movers will be here so there wasn't a need to worry. My landlord needed me out to prepare for the next tenant who was moving in soon. When I told Pintos Moving and Storage that this was unprofessional, they told me that it was professional because they had done nothing wrong and that their contract says pick up days are estimates. I asked that they refund my money so I find another option to move my things because I had my new baby and 5yo to worry about. They kept quoting the contract to me and said that if I cancelled in a pickup window, I would forfeit my deposit of $1449. They asked me to put my things in storage somewhere till they could arrive on the 2nd or 3rd. They were not offering to pay for that storage either. My church helped me move out my things from the rental and stored them. Needless to say the same cycle happened with Pintos. No one calls to inform you and so I called on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th speaking to different people who already knew who I was. Obviously I was getting angrier because Pintos Moving and Storage staff kept telling me that "our pickup dates are estimates". They don't call. They don't say how long it is estimated for. After the 3rd, they couldn't give me any more estimated pick up dates and no customer service person confess that they were having difficulty finding a truck that could pick up my things from MO to VA. By this point, without any updates to pick up dates, I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. The customer service person said accounts will review the case and if there's refund, they will contact me. The next day they did not contact me so I called to speak with accounts and I was told by another customer service person that accounts do not speak directly to customers. I let them know that I spoke with them directly when they had troubling taking my deposit. And then they quoted their contract at me that pickup dates are estimates so I am forfeiting my deposit, even though they couldn't find a truck to pick up my things. On the 10th when I called them, my order had not been cancelled like I asked and they still had not even found a truck. I am still waiting for my deposit. I ended up renting a U-Haul and driving my things up to MO myself because it is peak moving season and other companies are booked. JUST AVOID WORKING with them. You will be at peace for it. I am positing my review everywhere I can.

Poor Service

I wish i could give a negative review. Based on my experience, i recommend that no one should ever use Pinto's Moving and Storage. Our sonos music system is missing and when we called they are asking to claim for insurance .On top they outsource it to another company in my case its prime moving and storage. The response was they will refund 60 cents per pound while we spent over 700 dollars for purchase. None of them take ownership of the lost goods. So unprofessional and no one picks the call after delivery neither the agent nor delivery guys. Boxes were labeled fragile but none were taken care and they were damaged on delivery. They would not even let you account for the number of boxes packed vs delivered. They rush you claiming they have more jobs to take care of. So unprofessional and careless service.

Long-distance move from Phoenix, AZ to Savannah, GA

SCAM

SCAAAMM! I’m giving it one because it’s not possible to give it a lower score! This has been by far the most horrific experience with a company. Our agent who coordinated all the moving was Alan Stuart (what he says it’s not true) he made all of our paperwork for our moving and promised us a lot of services. He told us that our things will be picked up on the 27 or 28 of July since we had to be out of our apartment by August 3rd. We coordinated the moving in advance and begged for Alan to assure us that everyhting would work and his response was “Don’t worry I got you, you have my phone number and can call me 24/7” (he never answers). The day before our moving somebody called me and told me that there was nobody coordinated to do my move and that they didn’t knew a specific date. We told them that Alan told us a specific date but they go by saying those are estimated dates. We called the company and talked to a female (the only caring person in the company) and she told us that we could call after 12 pm and talk to her manager per our request of cancelling the move and them not wanting to give us our $1,400 deposit. When we called at the time requested the same female answered and nothing happened again. After a couple of days, we called AGAin and talked to Josh. He was the ruddest of all and told us that they were not going to gives us our money back because they were working on getting me the truck and we told him that we were not going to be on the apartment due to having to move out so they wouldn’t have the things which he responded for us to put everything on a storage until they find somebody and when we asked to talk to a manager he told us that the manager was going to tell me the same thing that he was saying. He hang up on us and cancelled our moving without our conscent because we told him that if they were STEALING our money might as well work for it. We called a week after and they still didn’t had nobody to do the move because Josh cancelled our move and said that they were keep me updated. Story long short they just want to STEAL your money. Please don’t be fooled.

Scam! They will Still Your Money!

Long story short movers, never showed, never called for explanation, money will never be refundable (my case $1,400 lost).—Allan-Stewart—was-the-one-who-basically-sold-us-a-fake-service-and-we-never-heard-from-him-again-after-gurantee-24/7-communication-with-him.—You-will-basically-pay-for you things to be picked up in a certain date but you will ended up-waiting-days-weeks-or even months cause nothing is guarantee with them just an estimated date,and-if-you-need-to-move-before-your-things-being-picked-up-put-your things -in-a-storage-and-keep-waiting-for-the-service-to-be-provided- this all said by Josh another costumer service. Costumer service are the only people you will talk no manager no boss no nothing. If you want to loose your money THIS IS YOUR PERFECT PLACE! Remember once you pay say bye to your money!

Long-distance move from Old Orchard Beach, ME to Kissimmee, FL

DO NOT HIRE THIS INCOMPETENT, DISHONEST SCAM COMPANY.

Pinto's Moving & Storage (a/k/a Ocean Ridge Van Lines) made my elderly father's move from Maine to Florida a living hell. In late August, my father hired Ocean Ridge Van Lines. They're a moving broker that subcontracts with cheap carriers of household goods and vehicles. They have zero customer service and accountability. They never answer their phones and if they do, put you on endless holds with awful muzak. If you do manage to get them on the line, they give vague and inaccurate information. Their moving estimate was intentionally low and inaccurate to get my father's business. Instead of doing an in-home assessment, they made my father make a best guess on the number of boxes and furniture, and their weight and volume. When the subcontracted household goods carrier (Moving Solutions Van Lines) arrived, they increased the price by $3,300 and forced my father to pay $600 for overtime. Meanwhile, subcontractor Oliveira Express Car Delivery picked up my father's car. Ocean Ridge Van Lines quoted an estimated delivery date for both the car and household goods for 5 days later. My father's car was delivered 2 days late and the driver/owner charged him $50 more and demanded the $1,450 total in cash. Why cash? Because he was being sued by a lot of angry customers and needed the money. My father doesn't carry such cash around with him, so the driver settled for a check. When the truck with my father's household goods never arrived as expected, Ocean Ridge Van Lines neglected to call my father about the delay, nor did they give him a revised delivery date. Max Braxten of Ocean Ridge Van Lines was the customer service rep that sounded kind when he was trying to win my father's business, then avoided our calls when we were desperately trying to locate my father's belongings. After nearly a month of unanswered calls, endless phone holds, lies and inaccurate conflicting information from all the Ocean Ridge Van Lines staff (Max Braxten, Kevin, Mia, Joseph), their carrier Moving Solutions Van Lines finally arrived with my father's belongings. Again, the driver demanded cash or a post office money order, or else, they wouldn't unload the truck. Why? Because they had so many complaining customers who refused to pay them. The original moving estimate to transport my father's household goods and car from Maine to Florida was for $6,953. The final cost ended up being $11,107.07. When I wrote a detailed letter of complaint to the company and mailed it to the address on their moving estimate, it was returned to me unopened. I also emailed the letter. When I asked Mia if they had received my email, she said that Gina Gonzalez, Ocean Ridge Van Lines' customer service supervisor, was looking into it. No such person ever contacted us. The address on their website is completely different and belongs to another company (property lessors) unrelated to movers. The few positive reviews on their website and elsewhere online are most likely fake, posted on or around the same time. A credit report search for Ocean Ridge Van Lines shows that the company was set up on 4/9/2021 by registered agent Jack Palmer Graham. No doubt it was done as a new front business for Pinto's Moving & Storage, which clearly has a long history of negative reviews. Moving Solutions Van Lines, their household goods carrier, also has countless negative reviews, and I learned later that they'd been storing my father's things in New Jersey for weeks. When they finally decided to deliver, it took their driver less than 3 days. Meanwhile, my 80-year-old father had been waiting anxiously in his empty house, wondering if he'd ever see his belongings.

BEWARE: OCEAN RIDGE VAN LINES (A/K/A PINTO'S MOVING & STORAGE) ARE CROOKS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Everything small but worth money was lost (selectively)

If you read enough review, you know this by now. But I ma going to say it again : This is not an actual truck company. This is one person in a room, with only one line of phone, in a small city in Florida finding trucks online and giving your stuff to them without even knowing them.

Sometimes there is one more person that introduce himself anew name everytime you call and assumes that gives you the impression of an actual office with couple people in it.

They lost $2500 of my stuff (if not stolen, since only the good stuff were gone) and I could not do anything about it.
