Long-distance move from Ragley, LA to Jackson Center, PA

Quick and Stress-Free

Several wooden dressers, some of which were heavy antiques, were moved with exceptional care and attention to detail. The movers wrapped every piece in protective padding and carefully navigated each one through tight spaces. Not a single dent or scratch on any of the dressers, and they were placed exactly where we wanted in the new home. Their expertise in handling large, fragile furniture was evident from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for antique furniture moves!

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Denver, CO

Deceitful communication in quote; bullying

I'll first say that this company moved our belongings safely and quickly.

However, I would not have signed up with them if they had been honest about their quote. I have text messages from [NAME EDIT] saying my move would be "$7,000 flat." I responded "and that's for the full truck? And if we use less we pay less?" "Of course, just like we spoke about that in the last texts. Then I asked for clarification about per foot, and he said "you are using around 21 ft of the truck. However, they don't make 21 ft trucks so they'll send you a full truck of 26'. If you use less than 21' it will be prorated.

So that point, I knew that we wouldn't go with them because we were pretty sure we'd take up an entire truck. So I said "Oh so this price is already for 21 feet?? I thought it was 26. And if we use more than 21, we are charged more. I'm sorry, this was not my understanding." His response was "nope, this is the whole truck." Of course I should have double checked the numbers in the quote to see that they were for the whole truck, but when you have it in writing, it just seems like you can trust the person to be honest.

Before our move, I suggested my mom also get a quote from them since they had worked to get down to a reasonable price. When she didn't sign with him immediately, he started yelling at her on the phone, which made her uncomfortable and made me worry that I had signed on with a sham.

Fast forward to moving day, our things are all loaded on the truck, and I get a call from [NAME EDIT] informing me that my move is going to cost $9,910. Almost $3,000 more than expected and way above our budget. But that he would discount it down to the original $7000 if my mom signed with him. When I told him that I would not have him just put my mom in a bad situation so that I could save $3000, he started yelling at me. He also called my mom separately to try to convince her to do it so I could save the money.

I obviously paid them because they had my stuff and we needed it moved. But we never would have gone with them if [NAME EDIT] had been honest about the pricing. He even called me the day our things arrived trying me to get my mom to go with him.

Even though they moved our stuff well, I would NEVER recommend this company because of the deceitful communication and the way [NAME EDIT] spoke with my mom and myself when we disagreed with him.

Official company response

Client states she was satisfied with the work and outcome of the move. So unsure how this is a one star review. You filled up an entire truck and we’re charged accordingly as specified in the text messages. Everyone needs to be aware. We shouldn’t be at the receiving end of slander and damaging of our reputation due to a clients misunderstanding.

Good Movers

Moving on a budget is difficult, but this firm provided reasonable pricing without sacrificing quality. I was concerned about hidden fees, but the final bill matched the quote perfectly. The movers were speedy and thorough, ensuring that all of my furniture and boxes arrived in excellent shape. It was a great surprise to discover such a dependable, cost-effective service.

If I could give 0 stars I would

Setup a pickup time between 2 days that was agreed upon, upon calling customer service driver lied about calling us. Currently refusing to contact us. Do not use this moving company. This company refused to keep in contact and actively tried to scam me of money. 0 communication from the driver, customer service lied on call to us, and are easily the worst moving company I've ever dealt with. Do not use this company.

Long-distance move from Waikoloa, HI to Deeth, NV

Amazing Movers

Moving out of a shared house can be difficult, especially when attempting to avoid taking goods that do not belong to you. The movers made this portion of the process really simple. They were extremely careful to name and identify which items were mine, and they even double-checked with me before packaging anything suspicious. They worked rapidly but did not rush, ensuring that everything was in order before loading the truck. By the end of the move, there were no misunderstandings, and my roommates and I were both pleased with how everything went. Their meticulous attention to detail was particularly noteworthy.

Perfect Job

I recently relocated to a new city to start over, and I'm so glad I hired these movers. They arrived on time and handled everything with care, even my cookware and heavy furniture. I had various fragile goods, such as glassware and artwork, and they took extra pains to ensure nothing was broken. The team was friendly and made me feel at ease during what was an emotional transition. They even advised me on the best way to organize my furniture in the new house. Their expertise and attention to detail were exceptional, and they played a significant role in making my relocation stress-free.

Amazing Movers

Moving amid a heat wave was not something I was looking forward to, but the movers were incredible. They worked tirelessly in the blazing heat to ensure that all of my items were packed and safely delivered. Despite the harsh conditions, they maintained a positive attitude and worked efficiently. I was apprehensive that the heat would slow things down, but they stayed on time and completed the job without incident. Their professionalism and hard effort were greatly valued, particularly considering the circumstances. I would strongly suggest their services, regardless of the weather.

Perfect Job Done

After the birth of my first kid, I needed to relocate to a larger home, and the movers were invaluable. They were sensitive with our infant belongings and made sure to pack everything efficiently. Their coordination was remarkable, and they moved promptly to minimize interruption. They even helped set up the nursery and ensured that everything was in its proper place. Their assistance made a stressful situation much more manageable, and I am grateful for it.

Outstanding Support

Relocating from a home that included many built-in appliances required extra effort. The movers coordinated with us to disconnect appliances like the dishwasher and oven, handling each step with care. They packed the units with protective material and ensured everything was labeled for easy reconnection. Once at the new home, they helped position each appliance where it needed to be. Their willingness to handle even the most cumbersome parts of the move saved us a lot of stress and time.

Skilled Movers

We moved to a new home that has a dedicated playroom for our kids, and the movers were simply amazing. They handled the packing efficiently, taking extra care with all the kids’ toys and furniture. The team was punctual and polite, and they kept the whole process organized. Once we reached the new house, they unloaded everything and placed it in the designated rooms, making it easier for us to get set up. Their attention to detail meant that the kids were enjoying their playroom by the end of the day.

Long-distance move from Florida to North Carolina

Deceitful, dishonest

I am a Realtor. I have an 85 year old couple who are clients moving from Tallahassee, fl to North Carolina. The company gave them a low price to move them when they first made contact. They have paid them 3458.00 as a deposit. Now that they are a month from their scheduled move date, the price has gone up due to the company saying the first quote did not include packing. I am trying to get my clients money back for them. The company is trying to keep it. It is disgustingly shameful. The better business bureau is my next stop.

They are signed up with a new moving company who actually waits until the packing and move has been made before being paid. Imagine that.

Long-distance move from Bothell, WA to Austin, TX

Fraud! Beware!

THIEVES! Stay away from the guy named Anthony. He mis-estimated our move quote, asked for double the amount when movers came home to pack. We couldn’t afford the new quote and we had no choice but to cancel the move. A hidden clause in an email that I had agreed to didn't let us get our deposit back and we lost $1650 when we were tackling expenses with the new born and move across the country. I made a huge mistake by trusting Anthony and Allegiance Van lines and transferring our hard earned money as deposit. In return the guy used words like “profanity” over the phone when we asked for cancellation. He stopped receiving my husband’s calls. Our stuff was partially packed, ready to move and Allegiance Van Lines and Anthony left us in a terrible situation with our parents visiting us and a new born. Allegiance claims that they are veteran owned, I don’t believe that. My husband is an Army veteran and this is not how veterans treat other veterans. As a new mother, I not only lost money but peace of mind and trust. I will not recommend Allegiance, and if you do decide to hire them please read their terms and conditions in detail. I have an email from Anthony promising the return of deposit if we decide to cancel and it had a hidden line in email footer that cancellation cannot be done before 10 days of move.

PAID DOUBLE WHAT WAS QUOTED! DO NOT USE!

Was quote $2995 for 400 cf ended up paying $5245! I measured in front of them 400cf and still charged me for 800 cf. I had to pay $995 to book them, $2586 the day before pickup then additional $500 (they wanted to charge me and extra $1600, since one of the workers said it was 800cf without measuring.) They took my load from Arizona back to California then put it on a semi to Oklahoma. When they came to delivered I paid the balance of $954 plus $75 for extra 20 ft from front of the building and $75 more for 12 more steps! The SAD part is several irreplaceable items were broken: handmade doll bed by me deceased father, handmade Japanese doll & case by my Japanese grandmother deceased, china pieces from Japan, gouges in furniture, broken frame, mugs, dining chairs spindles pulled out, etc. I feel taken advantage of cause I am a 68 yr old single women. Next time I will pay some to drive a UHaul and fly them back, I would have been cheaper and things would not of been broken. I called several times to complain: Micheal gave me the first quote and was great; Frankie was wonderful but she was not in a position to make changes, Anthony was very pushy and condescending, Barbara (dispatcher for drivers) just kept telling me to read the contract but didn’t know it herself. I was so excited when I got my first quote I was telling everyone what a great company I found only to tell them later to never use them!

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Sacramento, CA

DO NOT USE ALLEGIANCE VAN LINES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

I contracted full pack 1500cf (under agreement to pay only actual cf moved) move from NYC to CA.

AVL movers arrived w 16ft/800cf capacity truck & NO packing materials - none were ever received on first day; NEVER came as scheduled or w enough materials; disappeared in the middle the day to supposedly get more materials - but never enough; forced donation of $5K of personal items I wanted to keep that didn’t fit in truck; delayed my departure from NYC; & caused 4 days of chaos & extreme stress.

AVL charged $15034 for 1900cf (discount of claimed 2000cf). When questioned in NYC AVL insisted truck had 2000cf & threatened to impound my goods if I didn’t pay extra.

This is a $10471 OVERCHARGE based on truck size - (800cf is 40% of 2000cf so correct price should have been of $4663)

AVL charged FULL BALANCE on FRAUDULENT amount upon NYC departure IN VIOLATION OF THE CONTRACT - only 70% of balance was due.

Before arrival in CA, AVL demanded I convert entire move cost to ACH transfer; tried to cancel contract; denied approval of full payment for move by my elderly mother’s credit card that they had approved & charged 4 TIMES; & demanded $4133 not due to get the truck opened or they would impound my goods.

Truck size confirmed upon delivery as 16ft/800cf & proof provided to AVL: photos of truck w time/date stamps in NYC and CA and Penske rental agreement in name of subcontractor confirming 16ft truck – all w matching license plate & truck tracking numbers.

In response, AVL continued to threaten I pay additional $4133 or they would impound my goods & then stopped communicating. I notified AVL that if they did not engage that I would pay the driver $1350 ($.45 x 3000 miles) to open/unload truck & they would have to reimburse me.

AVL refuses to resolve the issue. They have not been truthful with Citicards on 2 occasions as I tried to resolve through the credit card company. Formal claim for $12,388 filed w AVL had 20+ exhibits of proof including text from subcontractor admitting 16ft truck size:

$10,471 overcharge for truck size,

+ $1350 to open truck;

+ $671 in credit card fees;

+ $392 delayed flight expense.

This does not even include the things that were broken due to what witnesses have described as 'ghetto packing'. I just don't have the bandwidth to deal with as I take care of my ill mother.

AVL tried to tell me I didn’t know the size of truck & its capacity & that the truck made 2 trips from NYC to CA! It would have taken THREE trips to move 2000 cf in an 800cf trip!

AVL is NOT HONEST. Against all indisputable proof provided, AVL continues to perpetuate this fraud. DO NOT USE ALLEGIANCE VAN LINES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Long-distance move from Tallahassee, FL to Black Mountain, NC

Allegiance promotes itself as a vet run company that helps veterans, and it appeared to have high ratings. During our initial telephone conversation, they assured us that the company would do a full pack and move everything to our satisfaction. On that basis, we signed the estimate and sent the required deposit of $3,458. Later, after rechecking the contract, we noted a lack of wardrobe boxes. We called, and they then told us packing wasn’t included. We are in our mid-eighties and would never have agreed to use the company if full pack was not included.

The initial contract was for $9,380.80. When we called to confirm our moving date, they then added packing fees, raising the bottom line to $11,180.80.

When we tried to negotiate with them, they refused to budge. We asked Allegiance to return our deposit, and they refused. I am a veteran and by this time we realized the company was exploiting us, veteran or not.

We then checked with a reputable company which gave us an estimate which included the full pack for $8,538.27 and does not require a deposit. We learned later that most companies do not require an upfront deposit.

After our realtor wrote a negative review about Allegiance on our behalf, Allegiance called and emailed us several times, offering to lower the price to the original, including full pack and building crates – all of which we had assumed was covered by the original paperwork. Since these changes did not happen until after the negative review was published, and they still refused to return the deposit, saying the agreement was good for 18 months, we lost complete confidence in the company’s professional integrity and honesty. We felt we could not use them under any circumstances.

The company may say that they bent-over backwards to accommodate us, but that only happened after the negative review. We found the company misleading, rude, and unprofessional.

Don't use this company

The guy that I initial talked too said they were not a broker (second Party mover), which a day before the move I found out this was a lie. When I contacted the Manger he informed I could not pay with card for the pick up and drop off. After asking why I could not pay with a card like I did the initial deposit he just said it was in the contract, come to find it because he is not the mover. After some words exchanged back and forth he proceeded to tell me that he makes more money than I do and that I shouldn't be moving. Horrible business do not use.

Move for disabled client LAS to Panama City Florida

Steve lied to me about the moving timelines & service for moving our disabled son’s apt. He has not returned calls & he said that it would be a direct move in 7-10 days.

The furniture is at 18 days and counting stored in a Las Vegas warehouse with A to Z moving & Storage and they have no date for delivery or transport yet.

Horrible service & we don’t know if it will ever show up. I highly recommend finding a honest company who keeps their promises. We are very disheartening for our disabled son to sit in a vacant apt. waiting for 3 weeks/month for his belongings to arrive. We called A to Z. Movers & they were rude and dismissive on the phone. Long-distance move from Buffalo, NY to Shawboro, NC

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

First, I was charged double from the initial quote that I was given for my long distance move (typical). Second, I had the worst experience with this company. Allegiance Van Lines hires other contracted movers to move people. The people that they hired "Moving Pros" did the following:

- Destroyed a brand new coffee table that I had ordered from Wayfair. (Smashed boards in half.))

-Removed the contents that I packed in a stainless steel garbage can and stole or lost them, dented that garbage can.

-Did not deliver half of my Kenmore vacuum cleaner, (The part that vacuums.)

-Removed a lampshade and did not deliver that.

-Smashed 3 boxes of dishes that were labeled fragile.

-Took a part a queen bed frame upon pick up and then refused to reassemble that at the final destination. They also lost the screws to this brand new bed frame and gauged the footboard.

-Ripped the back off of one of my nightstands, ripped the top off of the other nightstand.

- In addition to the listed above; I am a single middle aged woman who moved long distance by herself. The head mover from Moving Pros "Mohammad" was extremely nasty/mean, screamed at me and was verbally assaultive while I was alone in the presence of 4 movers on a rural country property. It was a frightening, and horrible experience.

You cannot get a hold of these contracted movers to file a claim. They are not a legitimate business. The insurance provided is useless.

Allegiance Van Lines did not return a single phone call to help me deal with this ordeal. When I finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau they responded with emails of "concern." Allegiance Van Lines offered me 300$ in "initial" compensation for my ordeal. After I accepted that amount they stopped responding to my emails. Since I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau they had to pay me the 300$. (The damage and missing items were at minimum 1000$.)

Please stay away from this company and hire a well known carrier. The experience that I went through being treated badly, having my personal items stolen and destroyed and then being dismissed was a learning experience. I am begging all consumers to stay away from these people.

* They are good at writing response emails however their responses do not match the actual treatment that you get from them once you have hired them. If I can save one consumer from being scammed this review has done its job.

Local move from Belton, TX to Brownsville, TX

Not a moving Company - Moving Broker

I would like to start out with This is NOT a moving company it is a broker that Hires 3rd party moving companies. We used them for a move from central Texas to south Texas on 4/13. This was the biggest mistake I have ever made. In the beginning they were AWESOME told me everything I wanted to hear. Then as it got closer it went from bad to OMG I am screwed. 1st thing was when they said they could move my Jeeps and store them for a few days until we get to our new home..

Please note this was not a last-minute move I planned 4 months Prior....

That was FALSE, they cannot store them they are delivered in 24 hours, so that meant some of us had to stay behind and wait for the 3rd parry moving service to pick up the vehicles, as well as additional hotel expenses. also, they had to make two trips and I needed to find a place to keep one of the vehicles for 3 days.

Next the Move itself.. OMG 24 hours prior to us needing to be out of the home (Due to closing) We had it planned that since there was 5 days from closing on our home to closing on the new home, we arranged with Allegiance van lines that our Items will be stored at one of their many storage locations at NO ADDITIONAL COST TO US, They say they cover storage for 30 days, same as vehicle storage.. (Sarcastic) everything that was told to us was a complete lie. We get the phone call from the actual moving company that they brokered out to. And he said he does not store items at no cost, and it would double our fee. He explained that he will need the additional money up front. So, I reached out to Allegiance, and they said they would handle it.. well the actual mover called us back and said either we agree to the additional cost or we will cancel the move, so we were put on a 3 way call with Allegiance (btw Allegiance did not know we were on the line) The mover explained that this was not part of the move on the site for brokers and movers, and said that he will not do this move since it was not listed correctly with all the details, Allegiance then indicated that don’t worry just pick everything up and allegiance will take care of it... That is when the mover said nope, I will cancel pickup unless he is paid upfront.

So here were we no movers, had to be out of the house in 24 hours..

After that we were screwed, and just had to agree to everything.. We paid the additional storage cost, paid additional hotels, also once the movers arrived and looked at the list, we provided that we went over with Allegiance they said no way it will all fit, so we had to pay for an additional truck as well.. In the end our moving cost ended up costing us an additional 8,000 dollars and we had no choice but just to pay..

What I have learned is STAY AWAY from brokers (Allegiance Van Lines) and just rent a U-Haul and pay movers directly..

I do have all the messages and texts saved that will back all this up if anyone wants to see...

Must be fake Reviews

This company damaged most of my furniture and what they didn't damage they lost(stole). The moving crew were hired from an ad. How do things go missing if they were loaded on the truck and delivered in the same truck a day later? They just left my boxes outside on the driveway instead of bring them into my three story townhome. BTW - this is NOT a fake review.

Move from Chicago to Florida

We thought we contracted Allegiance Van Lines to mover our things. In the pursuit of our business which entailed numerous phone calls and emails, they promised that were not a broker and the sent videos of them putting down floor protection and wrapping all furniture in blankets and shrink wrapping all items. This was all for show. Once we contracted with them, it was impossible to get ahold of them. On the day of our move we were surprised to find the following:

The mover who showed up were a brokerage company

The did not have anything to protect our floor

If we wanted our furniture shrink wrapped it cost extra, we ended up paying for a few item.

The estimate Allegiance gave us was was 50% understated.

The timeframe for delivery was 10 days more than what we were promised.

Since we had to move we had no choice but to pay these charges and live the nightmare of getting our stuff delivered

The deliver eventually came on a Friday night at 6:00 PM, when two movers showed up and with our help we had all our stuff (except 1 peice) in the house by midnight. Just another example of the service provided

When trying to contact the company I was treated poorly and all the promises they made never came true from the cast, the service, the communication and I felt like it was just a waste of time to deal with them any longer.

I know the owners is going to say we did not contract with them ect, but I have the papers and the proof that they did and I would not recommend anyone use this service.

We used United for the second half of our move and they were wonderful.

Bad and unprofessional

I am not sue how come these guys are getting 5 stars, these guys are not responding to my calls for delivery and the actual movers are charging more compare to what was spoked to the rep for this company. these guys are not even responding to email or phone, when I call some one is lifting and keeping me on hold for 30 minutes and connecting to some one and that person will say he will call back never call backs. I hope some one will respond after seeing my review.

Also the movers they have assigned are not responding and I am worried about my stuff.

Now the movers are charging 2250 USD for delivery saying an 53' truck cannot come to my community they not even tried to calle me be fore attempting or atleast an email converation until I called them. The lady at AVL is shouting at me if any one needed I can copy the test and email messahes from AVL and movers for proof and this lady at AVL said she is going to sue me not sure for what she is going to Sue me. I hope by looking at the review some manger of the AVL will call me to resolve the issue.

last night the movers came and dumped all the stuff in the garage after taking extra 2250 and additional 400 for long carry, one more thing these guys did not opened the truck until I gave the money, I paid 5000 USD in cash and 2621 through zelle. after sumping in garage and they said they will come in the morning and did not showed up at now the date and time Aug 25 2022 11.52 AM. I emailed the mover since the carrier/broker is not responding uising foul words and tretening me and mover never responds they only respond to collect additional money. by looking at the review I the owner of the AVL responds and resolves the issue, if the AVL resolves the issue I write apostive review

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Chicago, IL

Horrible Experience. A Classic Bait and Switch.

We hired this company for a partial move from Los Angeles to Chicago. The move involved less than 30 items, including one very expensive queen-size mattress. Unfortunately, Allegiance, a highly rated company, subcontracts its moves to sub-par movers, such as Best Moving Van Lines in San Jose, California. It was a classic "bait and switch." "Best Moving" has at least 75 percent horrible, one-star reviews, yet Allegiance subcontracted with this company to move our items. Two minutes of checking online would have revealed dozens of complaints against the movers they sent. The $2,700 mattress was put on the truck but never delivered, and Allegiance says they're not responsible because they didn't do the move. We hired Allegiance, they subcontracted with a horrible company, and now they're claiming they're not responsible. Avoid this company at all costs. They do not check out their subcontractors, they do not take responsibility, and you will end up paying for their mistakes.
