Nothing like moving from Roll Tide country to Snowy Michigan in the middle of winter. As part of my wife's relocation, we received quotes and offers of services from several national carriers. National Van Lines was by far the most competitive, professional, and easy to work with. I can't say enough about Bryan Simpson and Michael Hartung. Our move was complicated with a lot of moving pieces and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Potter Moving and Storage of Muscle Shoals, AL did the actual heavy lifting and moving and they were great and very timely. A great experience all over!

Very Smooth Transition!

National Van Lines is a moving company I would definitely recommend! I moved from Seattle to Nashville last week and I can not rave enough about the smooth transition. My rep, Aaron Bacon and my mover lead, Brian were exceptional! They were in communication, friendly and of course professional. They take care of your items and dissemble/assemble all your items.

Most Seamless Moving Process

I was impressed every step of the way with how seamless and communicative my move was with National Van Lines. Aaron took all of the stress, and there was so much stress after making a cross country move for the 2nd time in 6 months, off my shoulders. If possible, he made a stressful move, stress free. Beyond him, the team that packed up my belongings in NM were so thorough and wrapped all of my items so carefully and the unload process was just as thoughtful. The movers made the way cross country at an exceptional speed and the communication from everyone was above and beyond. In the event that I move again, I will absolutely use National Van Lines again! Cannot recommend enough.

Do not recommend

I do not recommend. We had a terrible experience with this mover for a cross-country move. They contract their labor. Packers and movers caused quite a bit of damage. We had the highest levels of carrier liability with $0 deductible and $125,000 maximum level of protection. That's full replacement value protection and the most comprehensive plan available. They were obligated to compensate to repair or restore, but that didn't happen. We also purchased the full service VIP option that included full packing, crating and uncrating, and a $50,000 damage protection policy. All apparently worthless.

Premier Van and Storage was the agent for National Van Lines. National reimbursed us only a small percentage of the amount of our claim. And they declined to reply to any of my notes to them. Carelessness, numerous damages, lack of compensation, and lack of communication. I would keep looking if you're searching for a quality mover.

They do not honor the word of their affilliated moving companies.

DO NOT TAKE TRAD RAVON AT HIS WORD. Get every detail in writing! TRAD RAVON DOES NOT HONOR HIS WORD.

Trad Ravon, the salesman, came to our home to provide us with an estimated cost to move our property from Florida to Pennsylvania.

He surveyed every thing that we wanted move. He said we would need to book an entire 53 foot trailer for our move. He said we would have exclusive use of the 53 foot trailer and it would transport our goods directly to our new home in Pennsylvania. Only our goods would be onboard the trailer from our home in Florida to our new home in Pennsylvania.

He told us our property would be at our new address in Pennsylvania between 12/26 and 12/30. The truck finally arrived on 1/6/24.

The 53 foot trailer had 23 feet of empty space aboard when it arrived with my goods in PA. The truck driver said he made two delivery stops before arriving at my door. . One stop in New Jersey and the other stop in Massachusetts. I spent the entire day helping the movers and using my truck to drive our goods up the driveway to assist in the move. Trad also promised a second smaller truck would come to our new home in Pa. to transport our goods up to the house from the big truck in the street. It didn't materialize.

When we asked National Van Lines for a partial refund of the cost of the exclusive use on the 53 foot trailer they rejected our claim out-of-hand. They said there wasn't anything in writing that stated that we had exclusive use of the entire 53 Foot trailer. Trad Ravon denied he made any representation for exclusive use of the 53 foot truck to the National Van Lines claims investigator. Instead, they sent a check for a measly $100 per day of delayed delivery.

$15,080 in moving charges and Trad would not admit that he promised us exclusive use of a 53 foot truck which cost an extra $2000. I guess that went into Trad's pocket!

Still making repairs to the items they broke. Still putting stuff back together to the items they took apart. Trad Ravon said they would put everything back together. BEWARE OF TRAD RAVON AND HIS WORD! IT'S WORTHLESS TO THE CUSTOMER.

National Van Lines has moved us three times in last few years and there professional staff both in the office and on the road made the experience extremely stress free!

Very satisfied.

We moved 10,000 pounds from chicago to portland and overall things went very well. Aaron did a great job of responding to all my silly questions basically 24 hours a day for weeks. Our driver was very friendly as were the movers on both ends.

Bad company !!

Do not hire!! my 3 year old could have packed us better. BAD COMPANY!! damage to home when moving.Pack belonging like it was trash. Stating to us the the company will pay if their any damage..NO THEY DON'T!! Things came dirty, broken, full of ants. Lots of missing things. Company played a scams on us and took our items didn't even pay for the price of them. They paid 1/4 of what they are worth. since we can't prove what box our missing items when in they will not pay! They packed every room in large boxes and dump our things in them.including suits with bathroom items, undergarment packed in the bathroom trash can!! company is not honest and will steal your things or damage them. RUN!! Find another company they can not be worse then this on.

Horrible Service.

Warning! Never, ever use Move Central or National Van Lines. My brother recently used National Van Lines to move from San Diego to Virginia. all seemed fine until he actually moved. Since by brother is disabled he paid extra to have them disassemble the furniture and pack everything. when they took to large captains bed apart the didn't pack the parts. so, when the furniture arrived in VA the bed couldn't put the bed together until he hired someone to buy the parts and put it together. The other option was to wait the following when the moving company could send someone. Now on to the damaged furniture. the bottom of the dresser was smashed in, the end table had a piece broken off and the wood was scratched.
Next the missing items. one box was missing. the one containing all his electronics, sound cancelling headphones, Alexa, E Reader, etc. When we filed a claim they came back saying that since it wasn't noted on delivery we are SOL. their own paperwork says we have 90 days from delivery.
Now this is what they say: Since we are at an impasse in this matter, you may wish to have a 3rd party arbiter review this. To have an independent third party review this matter, this program is available at a cost of $300.00 to you.

Meaning they expect us to pay $300 to go further with our claim

He also paid for full replacement.
