Long-distance move from Michigan to Florida

Where's my stuff.

Can't agree more with the other complaints. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They loaded on 9/11/2015 and I am still waiting. This was a 17 business day trip, now we are at now we are at 28 days!! The gentlemen who packed up were great..however, the rest has been a nightmare! They say we will call back, doesn't happen! I would pick up my belongings if I knew where they are. Michigan and now I heard Indiana. They will be compensating me 100% for the $2000 delivery charge!

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Virginia

Scum of the Earth.

August 5, 2015 I contacted Derek from National Relocation Van Lines and discussed hiring his company. I sent him the dimensions of the storage unit where my belonging were being kept. I also sent him 20+ photographs of this unit, which I had taken during the packing of the storage unit.

August 6, 2015 Derek and I reviewed all the photos I had sent and he agreed that no boxing was required. The only two items which I asked be wrapped were a bathroom sink and a base to a coffee table, and Derek agreed. He sent me what he said was a final estimate for the move. He quoted me at 1000cf, which was 65cf less than another moving company who was given the exact same information as Derek

August 7, 2015 Derek e-mailed me the estimate and we reviewed it over the phone. I explained to him that I could not afford anything over the $3000 quoted in the estimate. I explained how I had bought a house with no heat, plumbing or electric and that the little money I had left was to cover those expenses. He assured me that his company was not a broker and that the price would remain the same. I had also told him that I had just been in the hospital with chest pain and was scheduled to have a cardiac cath after I moved. I explained how I had been homeless and how I needed things to go smoothly. Again, Derek reassured me that the quote was final and that I would have no problems. He even told me that my belongings would be insured for $47,000 in the event something did go wrong and that I had 30 days free storage.

August 11, 2015 I gave me friend $750 to deposit into his account and I paid National Relocation Van Lines via my friends debit card. The move was scheduled for August 26, 2015 and Derek told me to call him anytime if I needed to make any changes.

On or about August 20, 2015 I called Derek’s number every day for five days and left messages telling him I had the second deposit for him. I received no return phone calls.

August 25, 2015 I received a call from National Relocation Van Lines telling me they could not move me on the 26th, but rather the move would have to take place on the 29th of August. (this was a bit of a problem because my belongings were in Pennsylvania and my son had taken off work for the 26th and had to work that afternoon of the 29th)

August 28th, 2015 I called the dispatcher at National Relocation Van Lines to find out what time they were coming on the 29th. At that time the dispatcher told me that my son needed to have the second deposit to give the movers the following day. This was at 3:300pm Friday afternoon. I tried calling Derek again without response so I dialed the operator from his number and talked to Eric. He told me I could go to Wells Fargo Bank and made a deposit for $1125 directly into their account. So I ran out to the bank and deposited the money. I spoke to Eric a second time and he told me he received the deposit and everything was set for Saturdays move.

August 29, 2015 My son got to the storage unit at 10:00am. The movers got there about 10:45am. The movers told my son they had to repack everything in the storage unit. My son called me and put the movers on the phone. I told them that Derek and I had agreed that no packing needed to be done aside from the sin and coffee table. The mover and I argued back and forth. I told him that I would not pay to have anything boxed. He put my son back on the phone. My son stayed with the movers about an hour and a half before having to go to work. My son closed out the storage unit prior to leaving and told the movers he had to leave. My son tells me that the movers never asked him to sign a bill of laden.

Later that day the mover texted me saying that the truck was almost full and that my bill was now going to be $6500. He called a little while later and told me they could not fit three of my items in the truck and they were going to leave my belongings in the storage unit (the items were a lamp, a total gym, and something else) I told the mover they could not leave my things in the storage unit, that my son had closed it out. I told him they had to take my things. He said they would take care of it.

Beginning August 31, 2015 I telephones both Derek and Eric each over twenty times leaving them messages concerning what happened with the movers. I e-mailed them both as well …All without any response from either of them.

A week or two later I found another number for National Relocation Van Lines. I called them and got a hold of customer relations. They told me I should have called them earlier. I told them Derek had told me to call him. In any case the woman I spoke to told me she would look into things and get back to me. Six days went by without her getting back to me. I called again and got a different woman who told me exactly the same thing …and again I never heard from her. I called again and spoke to a supervisor, Phyllis. She too told me she would get back to me and never did. About a week later I called again, different woman, same response.

My belongings were supposed to be delivered September19, 2015. I called the dispatcher the day or two before and he put me through to customer service. The woman told me that Phyllis had dropped the price $300. I explained to this woman again all the happenings and Derek’s quote and that I did not have that kind of money. With each of the phone calls I had made to each of these woman, I explained how I was on disability and needed my disability supplies which they have. I explain how I had no heat, electric, or plumbing. I told them my service dog had been bitten by a copperhead and that I could not even use him at the time.

September 19, 2015 came and went without me getting my belongings back from National Relocation Van Lines.

I have since called numerous times, numerous extensions and no one is calling me back. I have had the news station ABC try to contact and get my things back from the movers. They are not returning their calls either.

I am left hear in a home which I cannot repair because the movers have all of my tools. I have none of the disability equipment I need. I am forced to purchase things which I already own but do not have because the movers have them. I have no winter clothes because the movers have them. I have no refrigerator because the movers have it. I can’t even put up curtains or ceiling fans to keep my heating costs down and control my arthritis, because the movers have everything. I am out of money and have nothing. I need your help, desperately.

Over the past few weeks I have contacted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, who has filed a hostage complaint with National Relocation Van Lines. I have contacted the Attorney general in Florida, Alan K. Schacht, who is trying to close this company down. I have contacted the Hallandale Police at the request of the Florida Attorney General. But the Hallandale Police refuse to help. I contacted the Chief of Police in Reading, PA who had been attempting to press charges against National Relocation Van Lines for fraud and theft by deception. However I just found out that the storage unit where I had my things stored before National Relocation Van Lines took my things, ends up being three blocks out of his jurisdiction. In addition, Russ Ptacek of ABC news, who has also been trying to get my things returned to me.

I spoke with National Relocation Van Lines a few days ago and they told me I could pick my things up for $1000. Two days later the price rose to $1500, and five minutes later rose again to $2000. The company is refusing to allow me to pick up my belongings until I send them another $2000 on top of the $2000 I already paid them. I offered to pay upon pick-up but there refuse to give me their address until I give them more money.

Long-distance move from Alabama to Arizona

No service rendered.

I scheduled a move with this company from Alabama to Arizona with Ryan Williams for September 26, 2015. I was told that pick up was scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2015 and that I would receive a call from dispatch informing me of the timeline days in advance before the scheduled pick up. No one ever called me, so I tried calling Ryan Williams personal number and the company number to find out what was going because nobody had called me to verify when they were coming to pick up my beginnings. His personal number was no longer in service and no one would answer the company number. I called over and over, but there was no response. I even had several people to call the numbers just to see if they would make contact with this company and no contact was made. I left messages for Ryan and dispatch to call me back and nothing ever happened. The day of pickup no one ever showed up. Sunday rolled around and they still never showed up. There was no contact made from this company to myself. This company is a fraud. Do not use them because they will steal your money without providing a service, then they lied by stating that I canceled my move the day before I was scheduled to leave Alabama. They not only robbed me I had to pay other movers to move my belongings into a local storage, so not only have I paid them I had to pay additional cost for new movers and a storage facility. Now I will be suing this company for the initial amount they stole from me, cost for new movers & storage, and for deformation because they lied about me cancelling my move, which I did not do.

Long-distance move from Nebraska to Michigan

Warning: Fake Company.

Do not believe the positive reviews on this site: they are fake.  National Relocation Van Lines isn't even their real name - its an alias.  They are actually called National Relocation Solutions, and they are HQ'd in Florida (even though they claim to be in Washington, Maryland, California, and Georgia).  This is not a real company.  This is what's known a a "rogue mover".  They pick-up your things, hold them hostage so that you pay huge fines, and then never actually delivery your things.  They just steal your stuff.  We've already filed charges against them. They arrived over 24 hours late, and once our things were on the truck told us the price would be over 300% the estimate.  They never offered to measure or weigh the load, and they never gave us the "right and responsibilities" pamphlet - both these actions are required by law.  Once they had our stuff, they began making demands for money, if they even answered their phones, at all.  They never called us, never responded to emails or voicemails, and were very difficult to contact.  When we finally filed complaints with the Department of Transportation and Federal Trade Commission, they stopped demanding money and simply refused to deliver our things.Again: This is NOT a real company.  They are a scam.  They operate under an alias and fake address because their real name and address has a long history of complaints and violation reports.  Do not be fooled! .

Long-distance move from Ohio to California

Did not deliver!

I am writing this review to protect any other future non-expectant customers. No one signs a contract expecting to be told falsehoods, argued with, disrespected and strung along for a month. This is not how I like to be treated, nor how I wish other people to be treated.
This company has not delivered our items. They are beyond the contracted time. I have spoken to at least 10 other customers with similar problems with them. Customer service is essentially non-existent and I feel like I am getting nowhere with them.
Please do yourself, and potentially other people, a favor.. support an honest, legitimate company.

Long-distance move from Delaware to Minnesota

Pleased.

Moving experience would vary according to the moving company you happen to hire and in my case, my moving experience was not bad because I chose to hire this company. So far, they are the most professional, skilled, timely and fastest moving company I have hired or encountered in my life. It was important that my belongings would arrive our destination safe and sound, I clearly told them about this, which is they packed everything carefully and stacked them with care to make sure nothing was damaged – when we arrived and saw each of my things, the effort they put in taking good care of my things paid off. Good job! They really know how to please their clients!

Local move within Virginia

Worst moving company.

They give you the wrong quote to get your business, Michael Alexander. Under estimating by a lot. Then tell you after all your stuff is on the truck how much you really owe them. The driver of the truck says it happens all the time. When we called Michael he said he would call us back and never did after numerous attempts. 10 messages. Show up late, 5 days late. The customer service department, will hang up on you and block your calls, like Phyllis. Would never recommend this company to any one.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Texas

Never got my stuff, they won't answer phone.

This company is a total sham..pretty sure any positive reviews are fake as well. They picked up my furniture on May 7th 2015 from North Carolina to be delivered in 17 business day to Texas and I have still not received it. Everytime I called they would tell me my furniture was about to be loaded on the truck.  Stupid me I fell for this for like 4 weeks straight. On our last call I asked to speak with mgr. named Phyllis and was told she would call me back.  She didn't and now they won't take my calls. Not sure if I will ever get my stuff and will likely have to get a lawyer and take them to court.   Funny how all the terrible reviews on every website are dead last no matter when they were written.   Moral of the story, pay a little extra and go with a national carrier.  .
