I hired them to move me from Massachusetts to Michigan. The moving company they brokered to move me (Moving Solutions Van Lines) charged me $2000 more than the estimate. I was supposed to receive my belongings June 30 and here it is July 19 and STILL NO WORD! I would expect that Nationwide would at least advocate for me with their broker but no. Free storage for 30 days but now, conveniently, it is over 30 days and I have no clue how much storage they will charge. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are a rip off and they don't care about you at all. Use a company that does not broker with other movers but rather does it all themselves. TAKE WARNING THESE PEOPLE ARE AWFUL!!!!!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8100

I was looking at a moving company and looking for like something that was more affordable that work out for me and my husband. Nationwide Moving Services was more affordable than other companies were asking for. I told my moving coordinator the things that I would need moved in the day. She immediately got back to me and told me that that would be no problem, that it would be two guys coming with a truck and that they would call me. And if I had any issues I could give her a call. They were really nice. They helped out a lot and it was really good. The driver and the crew were really good too. Nationwide Moving Services were really nice and friendly and they're way more affordable than other moving company.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3879

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. I actually have never written a review of anything before, but this company was so bad, I am going out of my way to write one on any website I can find so people do not use this company. I found some of the customer service reps to be rude (some were good too). But, more so, the logistics of this company are terrible. I had called to update the ledger for our move, and it resulted in a slight price estimate change - totally fine. But never received email confirmation with the new price. In addition, they give you a two day window when you book (and perhaps this is standard with other movers - not sure how common this is), but they would not solidify the date until the day before the move. I called the morning of the day before (a Friday for a Saturday or Sunday move) and they STILL didn't know what day it would be. They say you'll hear some time before 5 pm. It got to be 430, I still hadn't heard (and the office closes at 5pm for the weekend) so I call. They inform me they just found out "they are having truck issues and will not be able to make the move." I had to call to get that information (I am sure they would have called me... eventually... but the fact it is 430 pm the night before out move was just ridiculous. We had to scramble to get a rental truck and move ourselves. Then, on top of that, I did not receive email confirmation of the refund right away, or even an email confirming the cancellation.

Worst company ever. Do not use.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2300

Movers showed up late after many calls and then quoted us twice the cost. We did not let them take our things knowing we would owe another $6k on delivery that we were not prepared to pay. Our move was scheduled for over a month.

Our house had already closed and we were to be out of it the day of the move. We had to pay 3 days of "rent" to our buyers while we arranged for another mover. We have been trying for 2 weeks to get our deposit back. They do not have any arbitrators in the state, as per law, and the carrier they contracted with for our move does not have a tariff. They are plain and simple, crooks! Don't trust them. We learned the hard way. No reputable mover will quote you cost on cubic feet, cost should always be done with weight. That is not how they do business. They quoted us for 1100 cf., totally underestimating our move. The mover they contracted said we had over 1900 cf., asking for twice the cost we were quoted on delivery. The reputable mover who moved us said we had 8400lbs, approx 1500 ct, and moved us for the same cost as our original quote. We're going to exhaust every means possible to be reimbursed and continue to tell people about their unethical practices. We asked them to do the right thing and refund our deposit since they did not do anything for us except cause us a lot of stress. It was truly a nightmare.

This is the worst service I have ever paid for. Whatever you do, pick another company. Customer Service was unresponsive, Dispatchers were rude, unprofessional, and cursed at us on the phone, and movers were late for both pick up and delivery. The movers showed up 23h late for pick up and I was unable to communicate with them prior to it, so I was sitting for an entire day in the middle of my boxes waiting for them to show up and they never did. It is incredibly frustrating if you are working full-time and taking the day off work waiting for movers to show up, for them to ultimately arrive a day late. Same thing for delivery, my items were delivered 5 days late after little to no communication and I had to sleep on an air mattress in an empty apartment for the entire time. I called everyday to get an update on my items and was met with unprofessionalism and disrespect. Customer Service was unable to locate my items and at some point told me that I would be "lucky if my items were to be delivered within the next 2 weeks." I called everyday for 5 days, and everyday they told be that my items would be delivered by the "end of the day." At some point, one of the agents started to ignore my messages and to screen my calls. And cherry on top, they lost a table and broke another table. I ultimately got on the phone with a manager who acknowledged how outrageous the situation was and she offered a discount. Little did I know that the discount would be of a $100, which is quite frankly a joke when you compare it to everything we have been through to get our items from point A (Washington DC) to point B (New York City). Bottom line is, don't do business with them, it will be a nightmare, and the price is not worth it.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2000

-On 4/6 I contracted with Nationwide moving service for my move from Virginia to Washington. The move was scheduled for 6/28 (pack) and 6/29 (move). I was quoted at $16300 and paid a deposit of $6391. I sent a list of my goods and also sent an inventory list, that another moving company, who had face timed, me had sent. [Attached]. I worked with Collin, who was great during the sales pitch but would never respond closer to the move.

-On 6/28, a representative from what I later found out to be, Western Van Lines (subcontracted by Nationwide Moving Services), called me and said that pick up would be at my home on 6/29, not 6/28. When I inquired about packing, they said “we will send some extra guys.” I told them my house was 4000 sq ft + and that it would be a major haul to pack and move the house in one day, but he told me no one would be coming that day.

-On 6/29 two men in an Enterprise truck showed up to move my house. They told me that they were there to pack today and move on 6/30. Upon looking at my house, they then told me that the estimate had gone to $25151 and had the original estimate listed erroneously listed as $18658. Over a three-hour period, I called Nationwide numerous times and spoke to Annie. She said they only use these guys “when they are busy.” After being quoted $25151 [attached], the movers came back and verbally said the quote was actually ~$36000. We declined their services and asked them to leave.

After they left, Frank called and said that he had another moving company out of New Jersey, that could do the job for $29000. When I asked about the company’s reputation, he said he “doesn’t look at reviews.”

-On 6/30 I was offered a deposit refund of $3195 even though the quote had ballooned to 100% + the original quote. I am requesting my entire deposit back through my bank.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $16300

We moved to a new neighborhood about five miles down the road and got Nationwide Moving Services to move our furniture. Initially, a different company quoted me something higher. And I talked to few other companies and someone else came in just a little lower. And then, Nationwide Moving Services was able to come even lower than that. The quote they gave me was good and very fair. The rep who assisted me was able to answer all my questions, and everything was simple and easy. The moving crew was very friendly too. They did a great job, and they were also able to answer any questions that we had. They did the wrapping of the furniture and they finished moving in a little less time than we had estimated. They were moving the entire day and the guys were able to get done an hour and a half earlier. It was a very easy experience. Everyone I worked with was great. If I happen to move again, I definitely would use them again.

We have been waiting for a month for things to be delivered. Customer service is rude and absolutely horrendous! We were quoted on thing to be told another thing. If you are older, they will try to get you by stating there is a mandatory gratuity. They originally tried to make my grandmother pay $300 “gratuity” instead they only “charged” her $150. We call almost daily to find where our things are. We were told we would have our stuff on one date, they never showed. Then we were told no that is the day they put as the first available “delivery” date which was not told to us. Then we were told it was being loaded and in transit, and yet here we are 2 weeks later, and our things have still not arrived. This is the most unprofessional company and has been a horrifying experience. Steer clear of this company. Legal counsel is now being brought in due to them completely giving the run around.

I’m currently in a special kind of hell living in an empty two bedroom apartment in a new city with only what I brought in a suitcase. Not fun coming home from your new job to a hardwood floor to sleep on, and also wearing the same shirts to your new job. I was told it may be 30 days before my belongings arrive. That’s all my furniture and all my clothes.

This is all because got screwed over by a badNationwide employee named Brett. I can say he was a bad employee because their customer service told me he was, and that he screwed a a lot of people, and was let go because of this. I was told this no less than twice, each time his name was given.

What Nationwide should be doing right now is either putting a rush on my delivery or offering a partial refund. But no, my consolation for getting screwed by this company: Brett, is just being assured that the person who did it no longer works there. Doesn’t really change my situation. Also, regarding the possibility of spending the rest of the summer with no furniture, I was advised to buy an air mattress.

Customer service pretty much never picks up the phone. It took about six tries, and this was before I even knew my stuff was being held hostage.

Brett or no Brett, don’t work with this company.

I recently used Nationwide Moving Services to help with a decent-sized move out to Denver from Santa Fe. I looked into a few different long distance movers, but after speaking to the rep for Nationwide, I decided on them. The lady on the phone was super friendly, helpful and upfront. When the movers showed up everything was pretty much as she had laid out. The guys packed everything up quickly and safely and nothing was damaged in pickup, transit or delivery. Not sure what more you could ask for. Wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again.

I had a terrible experience with them and definitely do not recommend them. They told me everything I wanted to hear and the sales agent was great. However once I signed with them I never heard from him again. I would call and email yet never heard back. During the move they sent movers from Dallas to Texas and they didn't bring a big enough box truck. They also didn't explain that they would arrive in a box truck then transfer everything to an 18 wheeler a few days later. Since the truck wasn't big enough and they ran out of time due to DoT hour limitations with driving they had to come back the next morning and finish the load. They also said my load was 550 cubic feet larger and charged me an extra $2,700 when wrapping up the moveout. I called Nationwide's customer service and they refused to do anything to help me. They wouldn't call the actual movers like they promised and every response was "did you read the contract". When the 18 wheeler arrived it turned out my load was only 30 more cubic feet then estimated and Nationwide refused to give me a refund. I even had pictures with cubic feet markings. I'm still working with the hired moving company Nationwide hired to get a refund six weeks later. Don't believe the high ratings as this is not a good company and their customer service is among the industries worst!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $7800

After listing all of the furniture off to the sales rep, they quoted me $2000 to move my 1200sqf studio cross country. Upon arrival, I was told it would be $3900. Deciding to leave some bigger furniture items behind that weren’t got me down to $3600. Measure everything yourself, the sales reps will wildly underestimate cubic footage to lock you into a low rate. Since you sign a contract as price per cubic foot, you’re on the hook for any “overages” which are inevitable given how much they’ll lowball the estimates.

For delivery, I was told 7-17 days by the sales rep. Wildly off. We are at 16 days after pick up and it’s not even on a truck on the way to us now. They told me to call back in a few days, but that it could take up to FIVE WEEKS to get here. I literally have to buy new work clothes because I thought the 3 weeks between getting here and starting work was more than enough with the original window. Once again, trusting that sales rep has cost me a lot more money than I thought I’d be spending on this move. They ask you your “first available delivery date” keep in mind that is when the clock STARTS ticking on your delivery window. It doesn’t even enter in line for getting shipped until this day. I wasn’t told this, so it added a week to my timeline.

Waiting on my delivery still, we’ll see the condition upon arrival. Likely I’ll have more fees to pay when they get here according to the customer services rep.

Horribly dishonest sales tactics, no accountability, much easier to move yourself, no matter the distance.

I am so pleased with the way this company works. I'm a long distance mover and I always needed a reliable moving service, and these guys are top knot. First of the affordability is incredible for such high maintenance services. The service is quick and easy to set up with no extra dilemmas to go through. ''When it comes to relocation expertise, you won’t find a more reliable or affordable solution than Nationwide Moving Services'' they are surely not lying about that.

Nationwide Moving Sevices has changed my moving experience for the better! The service was extremely affordable, especially since we were moving states. They are extremely professional and friendly workers. They treat your belongings with extreme care and responsibility. Nationwide also helped take the stress out of my move. Knowing that they had carefully wrapped my items, and took care of the all small details put me at ease. I would highly recommend them to a friend, family member, or anyone who is deciding to move a long distance.
