Long-distance move from Phoenix, AZ to Seven Valleys, PA

Don't use them

Do not use thus company. They are a broker and the company they used sucked. We were called on Saturday and said they would be here on Sunday between 8am and 10am. They finally showed up at about 12:30pm. The very first thing they brought in they knocked our alarm sensor off the door jam. When they were bringing in our boxes a lot of them looked like they had been through a war. They were stacking boxes on their side and upside down. We were so frustrated with them we didn't have them put anything together that the movers took apart. We asked them to take the blankets and the trash from things that were unwrapped and they took the blankets and said the trash was our responsibility. Almost every box we opened had something that was broken. The 4 metal shelving units that were in my garage were put on the truck assembled and when we received them they were disassembled and mangled. With all of the pieces I received I can't even assemble one complete shelving unit. So far two other items that were broken are irreplaceable because they were hand made. When they picked up our stuff I was told don't worry about your stuff we are going to give you the white glove service. We have moved a couple of times (not across the country) and never had anything break and nothing that we had in the trailer with us broke. We paid just over $10,000.00 and trusted this company to take care of our items and that didn't happen. I understand that our items were moved from the truck that picked them up to another truck to move them across the country and then loaded on to another truck that brought them to us from New Jersey but it looked like they were thrown and kicked on and off the trucks. Moving is always exciting and stressful and when you receive your items in this condition it is very disappointing especially after paying that much.

Long-distance move from New York to Texas

Worst moving company / Bait and Switch promises

Please do not use this company. They are misleading and did not deliver on their promises. I am very frustrated and disappointed with you and your company, First off they promised that the delivery would take no more than 4 to 7 business days for the movers to deliver our items to the destination address because they stated that "their workers are humans and not robots." Our items were picked up on Thursday 5/26 and I am now being told that the delivery will take longer than 4 to 7 business days.

I received a text message stating that the truck will be loaded on 4/2 or 4/3.

We were also informed that our items would not be moved from one truck to another. I was then told that our items are currently in a warehouse somewhere in New Jersey. I am also told that the shipment is outsourced to another company and will be loaded onto an 18 wheeler truck. Again that is not what was told to us. They told me that Nationwide does not outsource and that they are a moving company. Again I was lied to. I had a lot of fragile personal items that were stacked up on each other and for that stuff to be moved around from one truck to another was very concerning. We have been mis-informed on so many of the logistics which was totally unacceptable.

PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THE SALES REP. LEO. HE IS A LIAR AND DECEIVING PERSON.

They also charged us an additional $5000 for additional square footage of space which we were told otherwise.

When our items arrived, several of our items were broken and damaged.

Long-distance move from Appleton, WI to Winter Garden, FL

Nightmare move

Don’t use these jokers. They contracted our move out with out vetting their movers. All my furniture was damaged. They showed up with no packing materials in a filthy rented Penske truck. They wrapped nothing. They are rated 2.9 on BBB . They have no integrity. 10,000’s of furniture damaged due to their negligence ( not vetting who they contracted my move to and deceptive advertising on their site that states they will wrap all your furniture and all their movers well trained are professional movers . ) They offered me $350! I have reported to BBB still no reply from them. They should not be allowed to be in the moving business. If they have to be licensed to move others possessions they should have that license taken away permanently.

Long-distance move from West Monroe, LA to Temple, TX

HORRIBLE COMPANY

DO NOT USE!! DO NOT USE!! This company is a SCAM and a BROKER! This company price gouged an elderly disabled United States Air Force Veteran and his wife. They do not actually have any trucks. They contract out to individual companies who may or may not be reputable. This move was from Monroe, Louisiana to Temple, Texas. We got 3 quotes and they came in with the lowest price by a few thousand dollars. We were unaware how horribly underestimated this quote was and the severe financial impact it would have. The company rushed through giving a quote over the phone. They did not ask for any pictures so a "three cushion couch" could vary dramatically in regards to measurements. The original quote was $9,800 for moving a 2,000 sq. foot house. When the time got closer to the move we talked to the agent to provide a more detailed list. By the end of the conversation the quote had ALMOST DOUBLE!!! to $15,500!! WHAT? This couple is on a fixed income, and $15,000 to move three hundred miles! Ridiculous. We negotiated how to bring the cost down. We bought and packed over 52 BOXES ourselves to cut down on cost. We also boxed all of the dishes and collectible birds which we were told would take off $2,000. In addition we sold: 2 six foot bookshelves, 2 three foot bookshelves, a twin trundle bed, a roll top desk & a computer desk and they said it would only take off $500. WHAT? THEN, the day of the move came and it got worse! The company that Nationwide contracted with showed up with a truck that was clearly not going to be big enough. Remember, we had provided a DETAILED, TYPED list of all contents of the house, and sold additional furniture so they knew EXACTLY what we needed. When the movers arrived they price went up and down THREE TIMES varying from $13,200 to almost $18,000. The movers only wrapped and loaded the furniture and the boxes that WE PACKED. They did not pack ANYTHING!! It took three phone calls to get any response from Nationwide, and then the initial response from the agent at Nationwide was to cut us off and chastise us in a very rude manner for not calling as soon as the company showed up in the smaller truck. The answer was they could get another truck sent out from DALLAS which was a 5 hour drive away. We had to be out of the house that day because the new owners were moving in. In the end the movers that showed up were 3 guys that spoke almost no English. The amount we had agreed on settling after we did 3/4 of the work was $13,200, but then it went up to $14,000 because they could not "return" the unused moving boxes and materials to the tune of $800!! This pick up was on June 17th with a delivery date of June 20th. Monday, June 20th came and NO FURNITURE. It was then that we were informed that the 20th was only the FIRST DAY of the delivery and it could take another 3 or 4 days to get the furniture. Oh, and no one seemed to actually locate the furniture. Nationwide did not know WHERE the furniture was located. Only after numerous phone calls daily did the furniture get delivered on Thursday, June. 23rd. Your furniture will not be unloaded until you pay the remainder of the money via money order. Because of the issue with the truck size we had to employ almost 2 DOZEN people from church, their individual trucks, rent TWO storage units, and a 15 foot UHAUL to move the rest of the belongings. That was an additional $1,000. It is absolutely sickening how NON TRANSPARENT this company is in their costs and practices. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Long-distance move from Richland, MI to Naples, FL

Review Continued - don't use this company

I wrote previously warning anyone not to use this company while my items were in storage. Eventually my items (or should I say some of my items) arrived late. 99% of the items were damaged/broken. My items were NOT stored in a climate controlled space. Nationwide agreed to reimburse me for double charging the TV crates (all which were broken) and a $100 refund towards storage. Never received either. The insurance that came with my contract (CSI) at .60 a pound is also a scam. I spent weeks filing my claim (which is nearly impossible). Only to find that they said they sent me an email with my settlement offer (that I never received) and because I didn't reply within the required timeframe, it was null and void. (albeit they did send it afterward and it was approximately $500). peanuts. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the transportation authority. Neither will help.

Long-distance move from Longmont, CO to Pullman, WA

Arrogance. Incompetence. DO NOT USE Nationwide.

$4000 for an 1100 mile move of 1 bedroom condo. 49 days transit time. Extremely poor communication. Damaged goods on arrival. Incompetence.

March 16th - I book my move with a Nationwide sales rep, everything is great, he says "2-14 days" transit time after pick up. He asks me to do a survey on my experience with Nationwide. I'm transferred to a representative who asks about my experience with Nationwide, I say 'great' and report my satisfaction with the highest rating.

June 12 - Movers arrive to my home. In filling out the paperwork I notice the delivery window has changed from what nationwide told me when booking, "2-14 days," to "1-25 days."

July 1st - "USA relocations services" calls and states the truck is en route to my home and will be arriving July 5th. I call out of work to be at home for delivery. I wait at home all day, no call from movers, no call from Nationwide. I call Nationwide and they say "supervisors are unavailable," but they would leave a note for one of them and reach out to USA Relocation Services.

July 7th - I leave another voicemail with USA Relocation, asking why no one reached out to me to tell me they would be unable to deliver on July 5th. I call Nationwide and they only tell me the status of my move is "in transit." Unable to tell me anything more than that. I ask to speak to a supervisor for reassurance. She then says that isn't necessary because she is able to tell me everything that supervisors will. I again ask to be connected with a supervisor, or given at least a timeframe of when any supervisor will be able to call me back. She responds with "they're busy and you can expect to hear from them after delivery."

July 14th - Nationwide calls me to say my belongings would be dropped off on Monday, the 18th. I feel confident drop-off will actually happen since Nationwide is telling me the information this time. I call out of work again to be at home for delivery.

July 18th - USA Relocation dispatcher calls me mid morning to tell me that the truck is nearing my home and wants to confirm my address. As I tell him my address, he is clearly puzzled. States another address is what he had down. He reads the address and I tell him that is neither the correct pick up nor drop off address. He calls me back about an hour later saying there has been a mistake. Another shipment, believed to be mine, had been shipped. He tells me that my belongings are still in a warehouse.

July 26th - Nationwide rep leaves voicemail saying he just spoke to carrier and they confirmed drop-off would be in 1-2 days.

July 28th - I speak to Nationwide and discuss reasonable dispatch service. I tell her that I have missed 2 days of work due to being told delivery would occur. I ask to be compensated for my missed hours at work and she states "I will give you money back after they deliver." I ask about the carrier themselves. She states that she will reach out to USA Relocation services and figure out what they will pay for each day that delivery has been out of the DOT "window."

July 31st- Movers from a company called "Fastlink," arrive just after midnight. I learn they are a separate entity from both Nationwide and USA Relocation Services. They then proceed to ask for my help moving my coffee table, queen mattress, box spring, and frame into the house. They do not have scissors or anything to cut open packing materials with. Two end tables are missing legs, mountain bike is damaged, several wine glasses are shattered.

August 1st - I call USA Relocation Services and am shocked that someone answers the line. After 20 minutes on hold, the representative states he has been able to confirm I will be reimbursed fifteen dollars. $15 for a move that took 49 calendar days to complete. I do not accept this.

August 18th - I receive an email from Nationwide stating they will offer $200 reimbursement, with the stipulation that I refrain from ever writing or saying anything "disparaging or negative" about my experience with Nationwide. I do not accept.

Bottom line: Unless you want zero updates regarding your move, enjoy being on call for 15-30 minutes each time you call Nationwide, and treated like dirt, I would steer clear of this company. I understand they are a broker, but it is telling that they expressed no sympathy for my situation and initiated ZERO calls to me. I felt completely stood up. Nationwide clearly cuts corners and contracts with carriers that are incompetent. I felt misled and lied to countless times throughout the process. It took 49 days for my belongings from a one bedroom apartment to be moved 1100 miles. $4,000 was spent. Do not book with Nationwide or the cronies that they choose to do business with.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS LISTEN TO ALL THE HORRIBLE REVIEWS

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! Zero stars but it made me pick one to post. I have NEVER dealt with such a sleazy, scamming company in all my life and looking at other reviews I'm not the only one with this story. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB but in the meanwhile I don't want anyone to have to go through what my husband and I have.

The original estimate was quoted at 551 cubic ft after confirming number/size of items on 3 separate calls and multiple emails. On the day of the move we were charged an additional 600cubic ft and we were told about this once all of our items were already on the truck.

We paid DOUBLE from the original quote. We immediately called customer service to complain (while the movers were still there, but this was Sunday so no one actually to speak to) and were told that a note would be made on our account about it and someone would contact us the next day. Mind you we were then stuck with the contracted company (beware you won't get the nationwide movers you think you're booking) and our whole lives on their truck already at this point.

The photos attached are of the truck once completely loaded and it was much less than even half way full, for a truck that could hold 1600cubic feet total packed to the brim. We lived in a completely furnished house so had very few items. We also had additional charges of $400 for "bulky" items listed as our peloton bike. However, this peloton bike was on our original estimate so the movers the day of took the liberty to call this a bulky item and charge more. When we spoke to the supervisor of Nationwide she claimed "well they come in different sizes", we all know they absolutely do not.

There were also multiple broken items which included; the base of our flat screen TV (the mover chose to not remove the legs prior to wrapping with tape so broke the leg in half before even leaving our bedroom), our large armoire they chose to flip/roll to move instead of picking it up and slammed it down on its side on a downhill two steps down from our porch to the concrete driveway cracking one of the legs, 4 wine glasses we had just gotten as wedding gifts, and the framing of a painting.

The most upsetting event that occurred during our move one of the movers was SMOKING IN OUR TRUCK WITH ALL OF OUR THINGS, which has resulted in our clothes and couch reeking of smoke. We are not a smoking household and it was completely disrespectful of our items.

Finally, we were charged an additional $1000 dollars for an expedited move on the morning of our move, which as you can clearly see from the emails from a nationwide employee, Brandon states this was included in the estimate--we had confirmed this on 3 separate occasions with him and another employee who helped with the estimate.

We contacted customer service on Monday 8/29 after not receiving the call we were supposed to from the previous day and they stated they could see the notation on our account and they would have a supervisor give us a call that day. Multiple days went by, no call. We called again and the secretary stated the supervisor was swamped with calls and she would leave a post it note but that we would receive a call by end of business day. Eight days later we finally spoke to a supervisor, Aidan, who we sent all of our pictures and information to.

Two days later she tells us that we signed the paperwork and she can tell nothing by the photos we sent and Brandon "shouldn't have told us that it was included in the quote" but again there was nothing she could do about it. After yelling on the phone saying the only person higher than her was the owner of the company and she doesn't know what we expect her to do about it because she wasn't there and "it is what it is" she said she could offer us $200 HOWEVER this is with the caveat that we would require signing a waiver to not enforce legal action for what occurred, otherwise we should seek legal counsel against the contracted carrier.

Bait and switch company

They will make promises and NOT deliver on their promises. Our experience was costly, they damaged many pieces of our furniture and they contracted with fly by night companies. Annie in customer service is rude and arrogant. James in sales did not return calls. In May, Nationwide CEO and top officials were indicted for fraud. Make your move less stressful by hiring a company with integrity that cares about their customer and their goods.

Effortless relocation with our caring and thorough moving team - 4 o

I recently used this moving company to relocate to a new home, and I was very satisfied with their service. The team was efficient, careful with my belongings, and went above and beyond to ensure that my move went smoothly. They even helped me disassemble and reassemble some of my larger furniture items, which really made the process much easier for me. One of the movers even noticed that my grandmother's antique clock was not properly packed and took the time to wrap and secure it properly, which I really appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend this moving company to anyone in need of a reliable and conscientious team. They definitely exceeded my expectations.

I have put my faith into this company and I was right…

I find it hard to trust a new company that I am not familiar with. But let me tell you, these people were very kind and vigilant with my belongings. I moved all the way from New York to Rhode Island and I can understand that the drive is horrendous, but these movers were on top of their time and mine as well.

I believe that the pricing was fair and that the team was reliable on making my move comfortable.
