I USED NATIONWIDE FRO A MOVE FROM CALIFORNIA TO FLORIDA. NATIONWIDE SOLD MY CONTRACT TO A-1 MOVING WHICH DID NOTHING RIGHT EXCEPT FULFILL THE PRICING SCHEME NATIONWIDE USES QUOTE IT LOW AND THEN WHEN THE CUSTOMER IS UP AGAINST THE WALL DOUBLE THE PRICE. OH AND DON'T CARE IF YOU BREAK ANYTHING THEY WON;T COVER IT ANYWAY. THEY DID 800.00 DAMAGE TO A MOTORCYCLE THEY MOVED FOR ME AND NOT ONE PENNY IN THE PROMISED COVERAGE WHICH IS ONLY .60 CENTS A POUND. THEY ALSO BROKE SEVERAL ITEMS AND BOXES SHOWED U TOTALLY CRUSHED. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY

They took $3400 from my friend, packed her stuff in the truck, closed the doors and told her to pay $5400 extra before they would open the doors and unpack it. They said that she used the whole truck which was "1800 cubic feet" and she only ordered "400 cubic feet". Tell me what 3 bedroom house would take up only 1/5 of a truck. He had 14 times to let her know that she was running the cost up FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS, but never mentioned it. They were supposed to be at her house at 8:30 am that morning, then 1 pm, but didn't arrive until 4:30-5 because "THEY" had broken down. Then they took 5 hours to load it and pulled this crap. They didn't deliver it until the next day and we told them we had a closing in the morning so the owner would not be at the storage building until late the next day. He said ok. THEN, they went to the storage the next morning which was 3 hours away from where he loaded it and left saying my friend never showed up and when she finally got a hold of somebody they said "their" truck broke down again and they couldn't deliver until the next morning, when they showed up two hours late. THEN, they told her she owed another $1700 for her stuff being in their truck over night! So $10,000 later she finally got her stuff that they wanted so desperately to keep, because that's how scam artist work, and she has decided to sue them. Thank God, because I was about to go back to school and become a lawyer. RIDICULOUS!! SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE!!

They are a broker so they subcontract with other moving companies. Once they get your money, you’re on your own trying to deal with their third rate contracted service. The subcontractors did not even speak English and so no one was able to explain any of the discrepancies in price and policies . I ended up 2000 miles away with no furniture and had to find a hotel for 2 weeks while their 2 star rated subcontractor fumbled around trying to get my furniture from Chicago to Arizona. Nationwide customer service was absolutely no help . They said to “expedite the move, it would be more expensive! The nationwide sales representative, Eric DENGLER, previously very solicitous, was no where to be found.

We completed a move from San Francisco to Nashville and used Nationwide to help. They subcontracted out to a company that engages in fraudulent practices and Nationwide has been unwilling to get involved. They told me on the phone "yeah, we have so many problems with them" and then gave me their phone number to deal with it on my own. Two things to consider when thinking about using Nationwide. First, we were charged 3x what was quoted on the day of when you have NO OTHER OPTIONS. Had to be cash or they were leaving. Second, now that we need our stuff delivered, they are threatening to auction off my stuff if I don't pay another fee that wasn't in the contract. To say this place is shady is an understatement, and Nationwide being unwilling to do anything about it or stop using the company so it doesn't happen to others says all you need to know about this company.

We contracted NationWide to move our home from NY to FL, we released our furniture from storage on 8/11 and we have been given 3 delivery weekends, all of which have been a no call, no show. Today is 30 days since we released our furniture, the people at NationWide are taking no responsibility for contracting with a shady, fly by night company called Cross County Movers, Clinton NJ.

We plan to file a formal complaint tomorrow with the FMCSA.

We are beyond disappointed at the lack of response and action from NationWide. Please if you are reading this post do hire a broker, hire direct yourself.

My family and my previous business have used Nationwide Moving Services on a number of occasions over the past 11 years in the Chicago area. We’ve used them for a variety of services and some rather complex moves, including a multi-part move for my mother-in-law. They are THE BEST: highly skilled, responsive, smart, reliable, patient, careful, and incredibly nice to work with. Many of their staff have been with them for years and years—always a sign of a well run company. We had do do a super quick move at the start of 2021 and the team was totally respectful of social distancing and wearing masks the whole time—even up and down 7 flights of stairs due to a broken elevator. Not easy. They help you figure out the best process for each and every move and are with you every step of the way. Nationwide Moving Services surpasses my expectations every time. I highly, highly recommend them.

At first I was worried about lacking knowledge in the field of moving long distance. Didn’t want to end up spending more money than I should, so I hoped getting the value I needed for my money spent. Fortunately, I got put on with a great company to provide me with great quality I needed when placing my valued items in their care. They were always available to answers all my questions and provided details that hadn’t even crossed my mind. A big thank you to this company for their reliability and dedication to my situation. I look forward to using them sometime in the future!

Working with Nationwide has been the worst experience my partner and I have had with a national moving service. Communication started out great and ended poorly. Getting a hold of our rep Eric was next to impossible at times. Multiple messages were left or promises to call us back and he never followed through. In fact, our rep even told us that they were too big of a company to transfer my call or information to a manager.

When the move was completed we were told by our driver we were over charged for space. Our belongings were not taken care of and our concerns were not heard. We personally provided logistics on the delivery and nothing was set up to accommodate.

When I spoke with Steven their customer service manager, instead of hearing our concerns he referred to the contract constantly and told me as a company they could / would not do anything instead passing me off to THEIR contracted company. In fact he made me feel like my hard earned money was swindled away and made excuse after excuse. In fact, they even talk down to you like you have no intelligence. (Mind you, I work for a large hospital system and my partner an engineer).

When we hired a broker to handle this move for us we never thought in a million years that the company we paid to be the third party would ignore us from start to finish and force us to deal with their partners because it wasn't their responsibility.

Never once have we asked for money back (although we will be now) or a refund. We understood things happen. Listening and actually hearing your customers to prevent this from happening to someone else was all we were initially looking for. We believe in learning and education. They believe in pointing fingers and passing the buck.

I WILL never work with this company again and recommend you DON'T either, unless you want dishonesty, lack of training and lack of accountability.

Word of mouth is the best advertisement and I don't publicly review often because everyone is entitled to their own experiences but if we can prevent someone else from going through the mental anguish, monitary loss and unvalued feeling then it is worth it to us

Zero stars!!!!! BEWARE SCAM/CON. Our experience of being conned and scammed is apparently very common in the moving business. You will be dealing with 3-4 different individuals who are trying to con and scam you.. They do not respond to calls, nor do they update you. We received a quote for $1800 for all our items which was supposed to be 20 large boxes, couch, tv, tv stand, mattress.. We were ensured that all our items will be taken. In reality, we had less items than listed; only having 2-3 large boxes and the rest small to medium-sized boxes, which was around 15 boxes. The services we initially agreed to was that the movers would pack and bring down our items; $75 per flight of stairs and our elevator is broken and we live on the 5th floor. My husband and his friends did 90% of the job seeing as our driver was 3 hours late, and we wanted to expedite things because we made special arrangements based on the arrival time they gave us. The driver finally comes 3 hours passed the "estimated time frame" the company gave us which was Sunday evening around 7pm [all other moving services and storage facilities are closed]. He walks around the 1 bedroom apartment and tells me its going to be $800 and we need to cashap, venmo, or paypal. I declined telling him I needed an invoice or itemized receipt of services. My husband finally arrives, and then the driver increases the price and says $5000. I lose it at this point and ask him how on earth did he go from $800 to $5000?!?!?? He gives us another number... this time $3000. At this point, given three drastically different numbers, we realized that this company isn't legitimate and the driver is trying to profit off of us. This company hires and employs people who will try to scam you. These numbers were completely arbitrary, and the driver nor his "supervisor," who we got on the phone, could not explain the charge or estimate. We told them to get lost and disputed the deposit with our credit card. We waited all day for them in the freezing cold just so they could price gouge us. We don't take to being exploited and taken advantage of, and we don't want others either!!!!

I recently used this moving company for a long distance move and I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. The team was professional, efficient, and took great care in handling my belongings. They arrived on time and worked quickly to get everything loaded onto the truck. The delivery was also timely and everything arrived in perfect condition. I highly recommend this moving company for anyone in need of a stress-free and successful move. The price was also very fair considering the excellent service provided. I will definitely be using them again for any future moving needs. Overall, I highly recommend this moving company for anyone in need of a reliable and trustworthy team to handle their move.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

What the sales rep says is all a lie. The sales rep does not tell you all the important details that every company should tell customers- like the company will pick up your stuff and other peoples stuff in the same truck, and your stuff is going to take DAYS to get to your location! I asked to use wardobe boxes and they wanted to charge me an extra $875!! Ive never been charged to use wardrobe boxes before, and they said its because it will take up "more space." Hello, regardless if I use the wardrobe boxes they will be in the truck no matter what taking up space!! The sales rep says one thing, and the moving company says another. Like I was told my stuff would be delivered the following morning (Mon), LIE. The company said Ill get my stuff Tuesday morning, LIE. I now have to wait and get my stuff WED morning. They have all my furniture, clothes, shoes, kitchenware, pantry items. Basically 95% of what I own is in that truck, including brand new Christmas gifts like a 50 in TV and I am worried I wont get it. I have to call out of work AGAIN, and its a new position too. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a moving company and just save yourself a lot of stress and dont use them!!

I’ve moved a lot in the past few years both interstate and intrastate, and boy can it be stressful. This time(while still stressful) was one-of the best experiences I have had with a moving company. From the movers to management everyone treated me like I mattered! And what else can you ask for? I was worried about moving my late grandmothers desk, (a family heirloom) and if it was damaged I may have lost it, but the mover was so nice and took care of it with such pride! My stress levels weren’t completely depleted, but it made the whole process a lot easier than my previous moves. Thank you John from Nationwide Moving Services! Don’t plan on moving again anytime soon but they are at the top of my list if I do!

Looking for a mover is like trying to find an honest used car salesman. So with the need for a mover I called a mover that was recommended to me by a friend. That mover was busy on the date but he recommended Nationwide Moving Services and Storage. I crossed my fingers and called them. Not only were they very, very fair on costs; but their people and equipment was first class. Their people listened to my concerns, protected some valuable paintings, packed up and secured my computer and printer and even did a count of the boxes they took and a count of the boxes delivered. This is an established company who knows the concept of customer. Moving is next in line to cleaning out flooded basements; no one likes to go through the process; but Nationwide Moving Services really made the move effortless. I would recommend them to everyone and should I ever move again it will ONLY be Nationwide Moving Services and Storage. First class, professional, courteous and fair with their pricing. This is a class act company that you won't go wrong with choosing.

Imagine getting a company that doesn't work for you. Imagine damages that were perfectly in their control, but out of your control. Imagine being unhappy with a service that you paid for. Then after you're done with that nightmare, Nationwide Moving Services worked great for me. They were friendly, attentive. I got what I wanted, how I wanted it when I wanted it and for the price I wanted. I didn't have any issues with this company throughout the process and I recommend them to anybody anytime.
